To answer the OP's question, I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense either except for the fact that the champ just went through a match right then and may not have the strength to defend again. However, there should be a rematch clause absolutely.

but it's all fun! Wrestling is fun. I'm cool with the Christopher Nowinski jokes, too. It's all in good fun, but I'd like to get a few superior responses compared to the worthless trolls, here. I don't know what some of your guy's problem is. I asked a question: explain how money in the bank is good for wrestling? and most of you had some really lame fukking comments such as, "WCW is dead, get over it", "Burn him at the stake', and "Wrestling is serious business". God, you guys are assholes!

My business here was to discuss how PIN THE CHAMPION AFTER the match is good for wrestling.
