I’d suggest that those messages weren’t sent via text. They were sent through Facebook messenger, so it’s more than plausible that he went back through those conversations and took screen shots yesterday which would show the new profile pic.
Cornette was fired from OVW in mid-2005. Was Facebook messenger even a thing then?

Facebook has always messaging. That's nothing new. It just had a separate app launched in 08 but you could message people before that. I have messages in my messenger app from when I first started Facebook before the app existed.

Nah, and the messages were dated March 2017, from memory. I don't think Cornette had anything to do with OVW at the time. I'm trying to think of when he sold back to Danny Davis. He's talked about it. I think he's maybe done some seminars and had a brief stint in 2013 as a few weeks on-air?

It's still possible he used his influence in the business and Stacey said he knows people in OVW and all that. None of that seemed to be included in the messages (so far).

You'd think if Cornette is suing, they'd come up in some sort of discovery process at some point.

I completely forgot he even had a second stint with OVW after WWE dropped them as a developmental brand for NXT.

His second run was from 2010 to 2011 and left when they aligned with Impact as a developmental system.
