It’ll be interesting to see. I can’t see them NOT making some sort of impact, but I don’t know if they’ll be able to change the culture there. Lol, I remember when Chris Jericho came back in 2007 and I desperately wanted him to be a draw. Kane Knight told me he wasn’t a draw and I refused to believe it because I liked the guy. He was right though. It’ll be interesting to see just what impact, if any, they have on fans beyond moving the niche.

I don’t think Punk and Bryan are a “paradigm shift” on their own. They’re both that smaller, fast-paced style worker. It doesn’t seem “weird” to see that type of wrestler there. I think going after Adam Scherr and Brock Lesnar would actually help them out a lot. Create that “rats from a sinking ship” mentality.

i think, at the very least, it will show what they are coming back for and whether or not the rest of the roster are willing to take advantage of the interest that these guys will bring with them. I like AEW, I like they partnership with other promotions because it allows for "Hosses" to disappear elsewhere to be "hosses" and allows for talent to get a wider range of experience, which is kind of what some of us old guys and old wrestlers complain about. Plus the WWe needs to take AEW seriously if we want a change in their programing.

I get not looking the current product regardless of the company, but the need to constantly bitch and then go after people who happen to like it, in such a condescending manner as I if your taste is elite and all the people who watch and like AEW are wrong, is where I drew the line. He’s like a Cornett parody except Cornett offers alternatives to whatever he’s criticizing and he’s serving his pen audience.
