Yes, but he's still not "big news". Because he's not Matt Sydal, he's Evan Bourne. He's doesn't have the big history, and whereas he was hot hot hot in ECW, they put him on Raw -- a move I say was too soon, anyway -- and now they don't know what to do with him because Raw is afraid of new stars.

He needs to be built to be champion, not just thrust into it. He's a fantastic talent in the ring, but he needs more character time and he needs to earn the spot. He doesn't have nepotism on his side.

I'm all for putting the title on Bourne, don't get me wrong. It's just way too soon for it. He needs to develop himself personality-wise (since he already "has it" in the ring).

Look the only way we are going to get something new on RAW is if they just throw somebody in there.

I can remeber Triple H while not on PPV defending his title against Hardcore Holly to Tazz.


Look, We don't have to put the belt on him hell give the person 2 or 3 matches. Just anything besides Cena or HHH.

The problem with putting Bourne in World Title matches (even to lose) is that he's not really even that credible yet. Yes, he's on RAW now so he has moved up, but that doesn't make him automatically ready for big time matches on PPV. I'd say The Miz (as unpopular as he may be here) would be okay to do that, or even MVP (though they literally have no idea what they're doing with him right now).

But there are more deserving characters than Bourne. Henry, first and foremost. I could buy him winning the title at any time. But MVP could get the nod, even Jack Swagger is a former ECW champion -- something Bourne has yet to accomplish. It's just silly to rush Bourne ahead of all of them before he's even developed.

Evan Bourne has not giving a chance to be champion at all. Hell he doesn't even get used at all now.

You said he deserves to be in big matches, and then you say this. And you wonder why people jump on you?

What I'm trying to get across is that there are other people outside of the main event who are more credible (that is, will been seen as having a chance in a title match) than Evan Bourne.

Some examples: Mark Henry (even though I find his ring work to be sub-par), The Miz, Jack Swagger, MVP, Big Show (bias here), and even Kofi (solely because of the US Title).

Swagger has been a champion in WWE. Ergo, more credible than Bourne in a World Title match. And the lisp is a big part of his character. Speech issues haven't really held people back before (see: Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, etc.)
