I was driving around out by the Burger Shot where OG Loc worked and grabbed some random car to drive around. As soon as I did the little mission thing popped up on the top corner and said "Press R3 to toggle pimping mission" or whatever. I had no idea you could do pimp missions :lol:

The Broadway Pimping Car: One of the roads extending out from the pizza place/barbershop/pay n' spray area. If you snoop around there, you'll find a gas station with the Broadway parked in the corner.

The Burglary Van: Face the front entrance of the Ganton Gym. To your right you'll see two green apartments. Walk in between them and look around to find the moving van parked here.

The most convenient save house to buy is in Verona Beach. It's right by OG and the CRASH missions, on the other side of town, and it's worth ten grand.

Holy Shit. I have never seen anything like this.

We sold 260 copies of the game on our midnight lauch, the queue took us 90mins to get through, we then sold a further 400 or so copies of the game during the day, meaning we sold somewhere in the region of 660 copies in one day. We also took £17K in cash, and a further £6K in credit/debit cards, bringing our sales to £23K...not bad for a little seaside town eh?
We still have another 360ish copies in our store room, that we aim to sell by the end of tomorrow. It looked as if we wern't gonna get another shipment for around 6 weeks, but we've been promised another shipment if we sell out tomorrow. Fucking crazy day.

I went to GAME at 4pm (I was driving from 2-4 :() and they only had pre-order in, so I went up to Dixons and they had it. :cool: Got IDed though. :mad:

This game is awesome, I thought I would hate all the gangster-ness of it, but it's actually pretty funny. I got an afro, and beat up some people in the gym.

Stomping on people is so mad funny, the way he does it so fast, I keep pissing myself laughing when beating people up. :love:

Alright, now I'm on a roll. After the Burning Desire mission done, I've done the next couple on the first try. I'll tell you what, those missions where you're shooting out of the back of a vehicle... I'm unstoppable at them for some reason. I have one more mission left... the Green Sabre mission... until I take some time in the Badlands, and eventually move on to San Fierro.

Some of these missions are so much fun. I've forgotten the name of it, but the one where you are being chased by the Russians while riding on the bike with Smoke is absolutely fucking awesome.

Ok, went to the top of Mount Whatever and found the parachut. LOL I heard an engine thinking it was another car up here with me and the next thing I know there is a Dodo flying right above me and smacks right into one of the mountain peaks. LOL good stuff. Then on the police bike I shot off that ramp thing beside the flag and bailed off the bike and pulled the chut. Good times. Then hit triangle and fell 423412341231 feet to my death. :(

Finally got inside the airport and flew to the upper left corner of the map and when I bailed out of the plane I landed with 4 stars. Got shot at point blank. :mad:

Well GTA 3 didn't have Tommy Vercitti but that's a mistake that lots of people seem to make. The guy in GTA 3 is called Fido during one short occasion in the game. I believe he's called that by Maria during the SL missions. You can look it up if you do not believe me. And Tommy Vercitti has a very different body than Fido and he'd look much older since he's around 30 in Vice City.

I feel that the graphics in SA are a lot better than the ones in VC. Just my opinion.

I flew a chopper from the SF airport with a parachute but than I pressed triangle which caused me to seperate from it. I landed on an edge of a rooftop on my legs which caused a large cracking noise but than I feel of the edge and landed on a sidewalk. It sounded as if half of my body snapped when I heard that crack.

the GTA3 guy is Cluade Speed.
because he is exactly like the guy in the intro to GTA2 (clothes wise and stuff)
and in the manual to GTA 2 it says the actors name (he played some guy in The Bill) as Cluade Speed. (I think Fido is a nickname for him and I think it was used in GTA2)

Oh btw I already found a Dundee refrence in SA. Theres a place called Verdant Bluffs.Dundee has a historical Mill called Verdant Works.Like I said before.GTA was created by a Dundonian and origionally created in Dundee.

Can somebody please help me. I have whizzed through the Badlands missions, except one for Catalina. The one where you rob the bank in Blueberry, but wind up having to chase other robbers on quad bikes. This is not a difficult thing to do, but Rockstar has made this one of those "make this so cheap and frustrating that it's nearly impossible" type-missions that GTA is known for.

1. Catalina NEVER shoots, even when I'm right behind them. She doesn't do jack shit, so all the shooting AND steering is left to me.

2. These guys, for some reason, don't die. I've unloaded drive-by bullets on them, and they only die in the final part of the chase.

3. These quad bikes, while handled to perfection by the three robbers, are pieces of shit for me. They spin wildly out of control for no reason, and you can't go maximum speed for fear of tipping it over. This makes it impossible to catch up to them.

4. The past couple times I've attempted this, I've killed two of the three. The last guy ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS gets away. No matter what. He just, for some reasons, goes three faster than he had been going for the entire race.

5. Somebody help me pass this fucking mission. It sucks, it's tedious, frustrating, and all I wanna do is unlock San Fierro.

ALSO: Why don't they use the green targeting system for drive-by shootings? It's not like because you're on the side of somebody on a moving vehicle, it takes 30 shots to kill him. They should implement the targeting system and make it perhaps wobbly, making it a little harder than it would be if you weren't moving. But, I mean, when I'm behind somebody and my skills for that particular gun are pretty high, I expect to kill the guy or at least knock out a tire or two in a round or two of bullets.

If I have a diagonal view, she can shoot but I can't, and I'm a better shot than she is. Are there any general tips in doing this, because I'm having a lot more trouble than I should be.

Is there a limit on the number of safehouses you can have? If so, I'll feel quite a bit stupid after buying that one that's like 2 blocks away from your starting house.

Oh, good :love: I bought another one since I last posted. I beat up one of those uh... I don't know. This guy in my hood, I accidentally targetted him with my SMG out, and he started shooting me so I popped him and got like 3k off him :o So I went and spent it on another safehouse.


Also, shotguns are the sweetest things ever. Nothing like walking on the freeway against the traffic, when a speeding motorcycle flies by and you unload on him head-on and his fucking bike explodes. That was the coolest thing ever.

I managed to drive the train to LV which was really cool. All you have to do is take the train to LS since you're gonna need lots of speed and by the time you reach SF you'll race right through the signs that stop you from crossing the train bridge. It's really cool.

very hard, since the game hates you for doing this. I haven't won yet with
a $1.5M wager, but once I do, I'll probably never need to work for cash
again. This is horribly cheap, but it's fast and easy with ZERO drawbacks,
except that it makes you a douche for doing it >_>.

Theres a few things that where said about the game but arent true.
I remember reading that basketball isnt playable it was just a cut scene.I can play basketball (even if it is just me on my own) but I cant play pool :-\ .
Another thing was when someone said that there where no health pick up like GTA3 and VC but there is (according to the game itself) .Anyway I'm enjoying the game:D

Then if you just use it out of gang wars, the cops get on your case. Maybe I'll just be lame and shoot like 40 people, run to the safe house, and repeat till it's Hitman level :(

Just take out the guy on the bike first and don't really stop, then turn around and hit the van closest to him on the door so when he gets out you kill him, then fly straight to the other. If you can get to the 4th one with 3/4 fuel then you can make it.

It's at the bar next to Johnson's house.
While exiting CJ's house, go on the right side of the road and just look around on the right side, you'll find a bar. Also, there are two arcades there that you can play too.

I just recently finished that one mission where Sweet is under the bridge and Smoke betrays you with that Green Sabre thing or whtaever. I beat that, then I got stuck in the middle of nowhere thanks to the cops. Right now I have to meet that Mexican chick and do like 4 jobs for her. So I dunno if I'm even close to that place or not yet. :o Mind you, with as much as I've been working lately, I've only been able to play like 6 hours a day, tops, so y'know. :mad:

Am currently up to the first Donut mission, done all of the Grove missions so far. Struggled on some of them :mad:

Ant, when the guy gets off the bike try parking on the other side of the road, get off the bike and then just target him, once he's dead the mission's as good as done the others won't matter.

I think I read somewhere that aside from the 100 tags there's two lots of 50 other collectibles somewhere in the game, not sure what they are though :o

No, it burns fat and increases stamina.

I think the way to build up your bike skills is just to stay on it for as long as possible without crashing into anything, or going at high speeds without crashing. That seems to be when it goes up for me :-\

In an unrelated GTA story: I was driving a train real fast and it derailed and flew off a cliff into some water out by the forest.Just as I began swimming to land (the long way) It turned to night and began thunder,lightning and raining (The effects are cool) and I swam to a little deserted harbour walkway thing and it had an old wheelchair made out of wood and patches.It began getting foggy to and I swear I heard a chainsaw.It was really freaky! Even though its dumb to find a game freaky with a few exceptions.Its just with the thunder,lightning,rain and fog.Being stuck in the middle of nowhere.Just finding an empty wheel chair facing out into the water and hearing a chainsaw was kinda freaky.I wouldnt have thought much of the noises if I hadn't read about an unkillable guy with a chainsaw in the woods just a few pages back.The only cool thing that happened on halloween this year. :-\

Cycling at the gym helps build your stamina and your cycling skills. Running on the treadmill makes you lose weight and increases your stamina.

Don't worry about the driving school, you'll get a mission and then you can go there.

I love the countryside, but I hate it. I think it's well-made and adds a GREAT aspect to the game. I like the dirt roads, the farms, the mountains; it all looks great.

The problem is, it takes FOREVER to get through it, and it's very complex with all the dirt roads and highways and levels it has to navigate through it. Driving from, say, Angel Pine to Dillimore took me like eight or ten solid minutes because even with my map, it's so confusing finding my way around.

I am salivating at the possibility of just fucking around with a motorcycle in the mountains and getting crazy stunt bonuses too :drool: But I mean, I dunno, just the 'story' during this part, kinda seems like it's slowing the game down. It is. I went kinda nuts a little earlier in this page of the thread. I wanted to get the FUCK out of the countryside so I could unlock San Fierro. The missions kinda suck where you are, but luckily, they're not very difficult.

The worst missions are the ones in San Fierro where you have to drive back to the countryside.

I just found out that you can place a custom 'go to' mark on your minimap by pressing O on where you want to go on the map in the start menu. That is pretty cool.

Just look on the map, those like green house things are properties you can buy, and once you buy them they turn into safehouses.

I think people hear the word race and think they have to gun it the whole time, I just took my time and wasn't afraid to use the break.

Yeah, that mission almost did the same to me RDD. I'm on Zero's first mission and Amphibious Assasin, but it won't let me do the mission because it says I'm not a good enough swimmer. So I'm guessing I got to increase my lung capacity but how?

Go and swim for like 20 minutes depending on how low your stamina and lung stats are. Dive down until you run out of oxygen then dive up and let the meter fill back up. While it's filling just swim around. Repeat until you've upgraded both skills.

I just found the Pimping Missions :D

You have to get in the old type of car called a "Boardway" then you press R3 to start the missions. The goal is to pick up a 'Hooke... er.. a lady, take her to a customer, then pick up another lady and take her to a customer, then go back and pick up the first lady, she will give you a slice of her cash, then take her to somebody else, then pick up lady number 2, get a slice of her cash, it goes up to 10 with the money going from 300, to 600, to 900 to 1200 etc. Pretty good I got a middle Pimping metre :D

anyway if you cannot find a Boardway I found one at the gas station in south-west idlewood.

I managed to find a rental copy today and just started it. I'm loving this game so far. I'm not very far. Truth be told, I did the first couple of missions and decided to just explore. I managed to derail a train, which was cool. I was just driving it as fast as I could, and I turned to talk to my sister, who had just come into my room to ask me something, and when I turned back, the back cars had come undone and I had jumped the track. I managed to drop it into the water.

I got my first tat, got a goatee, and just did my first random act of ultraviolence. I found a shotgun in some guy's backyard in Mulholland, then shot up a Cluckin' Bell. Fun stuff.

Stay a little behind the front car, like close enough where he can shoot them, but far enough back that you can still see well enough to control what you're doing, basically.

Managed to do the mission the second time round, after Smoke drove into a wall and killed us.

I found it easier to shot using the L1 button and just aimed at the tires to take them out.

I passed the mission with Smoke and the train on my first try. Smoke sucks at shooting, but he still capped them all pretty easily. A big way to do it is to take the higher dirt road when Smoke mentions it. He has a much better shooting angle, and it helps a lot. Also, I found it easier to be slightly behind the first car so Smoke can shoot from a diagonal angle, which is easier. Side-to-side is tougher.

If you're really having trouble, try going way ahead of the first car, getting off, and shooting as they go by. Repeat this a couple of times.

for the 'Wrong side of the tracks' mission, I drove ahead of the train, about half a mile (just before the bridge because any further Smoke says I lost the train... even though it's on tracks :| ) and I use my ak-47 to shoot 3 of the guys down, then smoke takes care of the rest, if he doesn't then I drive forward again and do what I did the first time.

'just business' has to be my favourite mission, along side of reuniting the famlies, fast pace action at it's best. :love:
