Alex played the game of his life (I agree), in a nice comfy dome and once again couldn't come through with the game on the line. The Vernon Post is his only clutch moment. Sure, he did not deserve to lose after putting up 44 points. But I refuse to say that Kap was "outplayed." He was not. He went up to a -12 degree wind chill and beat the Packers while running for almost 100 yards and throwing the ball extremely well. They were completely different games. I would never want Alex back, Kap's our guy.

That 3rd down touchdown run with 2 minutes left to take the lead against the Saints in the same game was pretty clutch, too. And if not for Kyle Williams, would have had his team in the Super Bowl 2 years ago. I'm not sure where this "once again couldn't come through with the game on the line" is coming from. He's less at fault for his one playoff loss as a 49er than Kaepernick is for his.

I'm not saying he's better than Kaepernick but I think you downplay what he's done a little too much.

Alex isn't the type of player who can completely change a game by himself. Kaepernick definitely is. Games are won and lost as a team I understand and there's no way Alex deserved to lose that game on Saturday. But honestly, Kaepernick has already surpassed Alex in his contributions to the team in his three seasons. Alex had a shitty set of cards dealt to him for his first 7 seasons, sure. And he's great with a good supporting cast. Kap hasn't had all of his weapons until just recently and they till finished the year 12-4 and the number 1 seed came down to the final week.

My frustration lies more so with those who chanted "we want Carr" and booed Alex out of Candlestick only to beg for him back when Kap lost in week 2 and 3. It's a joke. I'm a Kaepernick mark and a loyal fan. If Alex were still here, I'd be backing him too. Hoping for his demise has become not even really about Alex anymore, but about either bandwagon fans or the ones who only support our team in fair weather.

I hate this idea that if a team normally plays in weather, they're less bothered by the weather than a dome team. Apparently it's suppose to rain a lot. Usually its because of cold weather or outdoor teams having a lot more experience playing in that type of weather than a dome or warm weather team. Although that argument is more about when playoff games are freezing or snowing than raining.

Brees' ring season occurred when the Saints had home field and didn't need to worry about that stuff. Wasn't until last week that both Brees and the Saints managed to actually win a road playoff game.

It's kind of part of the perk of getting the #1 seed. If San Francisco won the division, they'd probably be doing it too.

Basically. Why should Seattle care about fans for other teams? Or Denver?

I know the Seahawks and Niners have a rivalry going on, but that Kaep/Beats commercial of him getting pelted with piss from the comforts of his tour bus kind of predicted what will happen to him when he comes to Seattle, just like that Visa commercial predicting the Ravens/Niners being in the SB last year.
