IGN had a hands-on preview with the My Career mode with the biggest things being your success is based on social media support, the mode itself varies in length based on how long you want your career to last, and has a currency system for boosting stats.

Maybe the coolest feature of MyCareer though, is that there are storylines that incorporate the CAWs of people on your friends list. You can opt out, but if you don't, you may be suddenly attacked by a friend's wrassler under the CPU's control. It's a neat idea that keeps MyCareer feeling like a uniquely crafted story rather than a stock one.

So I guess I will pass on this game but I'm not sure because I just got the XBox and I don't currently have a WWE game for it..... I don't plan on getting a XBox One for another year or so; I'm not that big of a gamer to be on the cutting edge like that (7-10 hours a week tops).

Jumping from WWE 13 on a Wii to WWE 2K15 on a XBox 360 will probably be a big enough jump for me anyway. And My Career, while very innovative and intriguing, is not really exciting me as stellar graphics, and better gameplay.

How long do you think My Career would last before storylines start repeating themselves? That's my only concern...

I don't know if I really want to be paying around £37 for a game that I know I'll hardly play and that I pretty much already have. It's looking ever more likely that 2K15 will be the first WWE game that I don't pre-order, or even buy.

Thank you for this. Being a Nintendo and THQ fan, I only played those wrestling games. I had a Wii so I had to pass on WWE 2K14. This might be the first game that I choose to pass on as well.

Makes no difference, aside from occasionally paying more to subsidize Sony/Microsoft's hosting fees. This is how Capcom was able to charge $20 for 12 characters in SFxT when other fighting games charged $5 for one.

Only thing I want to know is if the unlock all/stats adjuster is included or if they're even doing that this year.

Good to see the CM Punk model isn't as horribly disfigured as previous reports were making it out to be. That said looks like we have the same dumb looking animations for title match intros.

Would be nice to have a set of different animations to choose from when creating and editing characters, but I'd be happy with just one for each, that isn't so goofy looking.

Challenger is spot on 80's NWA babyface that isn't very relevant for this game, and the champion animation is "RAAAAAAAWR I'M CHAMP GUY!"

If DLC can make a game I love get bigger, I'm fine with it. Sometimes it get odd or frustrating. Alien Isolation doesn't seem like something that would have the amount of DLC it has, and conversely SoulCalibur 5 had no reason to just stop their offerings (if the DLC window was so defined, why didn't it have a season pass?).

I think you are right. That's why they are so tight lipped about it. I'm waiting until a review comes out by an actual consumer or maybe IGN and then make a choice. But like I said before, I'm stepping up from WWE 13 on a fricking Wii to 2K15 on a 360. So already I'll be overwhelmed by the overall quality of the game. My career is great, but I think they should have the option if you want to have to develop XP points or not. I'm not a xp points fan. I kinda enjoy it when I play the SSX series and the Lego series, but I never really got into it when it came to wrestling. Perhaps if I actually saw the demo and played it for myself, I would be impressed.

I never really believed 2K when they said they had a later roster cutoff than usual. The NXT selections make the most sense if you figure it was finalized around Mania. Sami and Neville were the top 2 faces on NXT. Bo, Rusev, and Graves were the 3 biggest heels. Breeze was featured regularly but didn't move into the title picture until Bo/Rusev got called up and Graves had a career-ending concussion.

You have those 5 guys, plus Rose and The Ascension who were NXT regulars at that time and they're DLC but probably on the disc. I'm sure Woods, Kidd, Gabriel, and maybe even Santino, Cesaro, etc. will be featured in the NXT portion of My Career. as well I doubt they'd leave Tyler Breeze out completely but put in Enzo Amore or Mojo Rawley or something.</font>

2K announced today a brand new mode in WWE 2K15 that will be exclusive to the Xbox 360/PS3 versions of the game.

The mode is dubbed “Who Got NXT” and will focus on five of NXT’s biggest superstars in Rusev, Bo Dallas, Sami Zayn, Corey Graves, and Adrian Neville. Each wrestler’s chapter will consist of four matches that players will need to beat in sequential order. Upon each chapter’s completion, that corresponding wrestler will then be unlocked on the main WWE 2K15 roster.

By beating all five chapters, players will then unlock a spiritual successor to last year’s “Beat the Streak” mode called “Proving Ground”, but will instead pit you against the game’s cover athlete, John Cena. Players will also unlock the NXT Arena, Next ArRIVAL Arena (exclusive to Xbox 360/PS3 as well), and NXT Championship, Tag Team Championship, and Women’s Championship belts.

No themes or trons for them is a bit shit, though. Punk debuted Cult of Personality in like August and it was in the game that dropped 2 months later. The Shield members have had their themes since June.

It's not yet clear if 2K will allow custom themes on PS4 (the functionality will be added this week) but since they actually REMOVED custom themes for 360 and PS3 despite the consoles allowing it I'm thinking we won't have it at all.

Finding good CAWs of Rollins and Ambrose shouldn't be hard, but if everybody enters to silence or one of only like 2 themes that is suitable that'd suck and probably just cause me to turn off entrances altogether.</font>

In fairness the DLC does look good so will be getting that (I love they didn't go an obvious route for the storylines, would of been so easy to do Rock vs Austin rather than Orton vs Christian for example)

Here's the question: The latest wrestling game I had was WWE 13 for the Wii. I just bought an XBox 360 because they were less than 100 dollars. I like creating stories and wrestlers. I play through the Universe on occasions. The accelerator intrigues me because I don't like doing the wrestling single campaign, but I want all the things unlocked.

Should I just go and get 2K14 and wait, or should I go ahead and stick with my original plan of getting 2K15 when the price drops.

It's WWE 2k14.5 on last gen. The exact same gameplay with an updated roster. The gameplay improvements are entirely reserved to current gen, which should be excellent.</font>

What makes it worse is some legends have been dropped for 'retro' replicas of current roster ppl.

For those interested, newlegacyinc is hosting a WWE 2k15 midnight release stream for the last gen version tonight (Xbox 360) and then Nov. 18th for the current gen version (PS4). Might help sway some decisions about getting or not getting the game.

If what IGN says it accurate, I'll stick to the original plan. Get '14 and get whatever DLC content I can along with the accelerator. Then either get 15 when the price drops or start saving up for the XBOne and the games that I want for it or low enough for me to get all at once.

You're assigned a Rank as a Creator, like the previous games, and the rank is now associated with a limit to how much you can download and upload. You get higher levels as you, IIRC, leave reviews + get your content downloaded on the Community Creations. At the start, I think you only have 10 Downloads over a certain length of time (Don't know the length yet) and 5 Uploads allowed, and as people download your content more, you get your level increased and, presumably, the limits will as well. You're only allowed 5 uploads, and as your level increases, the amount of slots you have available for your personal uploads will as well.

Basically, for anyone who used to download CaWs, Arenas, etc and not add too much, this is a huge blow to their stuff. Also, unless you're one of the bigger names, there's no guarantee your stuff is going to get downloaded, so for some folks, even if they have a neat arena idea or concept, if they don't advertise it on one of the various websites, they won't get that limit increased.

From Neogaf regarding rosters in WWE games. Could explain why legends get included every year since I assume it must be cheaper to use them than including the entire roster every year. Probably just a flat rate or check compared to the current guys.

the talent shares in the revenue for the game and when a game sells well it can result in some sizable quarterly cheques for the talent and can be very significant if you are a mid to lower end talent and thus why all of the talent wants to be included on the video game roster.

Yeah, no idea why they are doing this as the servers were great last year. AT the very least we can all download each others stuff and give 5 star reviews so we can all rank up a bit faster.

In Smackdown vs Raw 2011 I got the highest rank without even playing a single match by submitting WCW cruiserweight CAWs. Although I had just had knee surgery, so I had plenty of time to sit around logo editor and get them all looking good.

Actually, the increase in quality of CAWs is why there is only 25 slots, according to 2k. They said being on a new system, and still figuring things out, they were only able to stretch the available slots so far while making the CAWs look as close to in game superstars as possible. They say as they become more knowledgable about developing on the console they'll be able to put more slots in future games.

If that's true, then in the long run it could be worth it. Still sucks in the now, and we'll have to wait until the game comes out to see if it was really worth it.

It's still odd that they can go from 100 CAW slots last year(which was added that year) to 25 this year, unless 25 is for current gen and last gen still has 100 which I guess doesn't really matter to me as I didn't get to play it as much I liked and only used somewhere between 6-10 slots.

WWE 2K15 is like seeing Brock Lesnar going from breaking the Undertaker's streak to losing to Hornswoggle during the pre-show in back-to-back WrestleManias. Not only is it surprising, it's also pretty sad. I would frequently grab my copy of last year's grappler with the intent to quickly check some changes, only to find myself reluctant to switch back due to the far better roster and single-player experience. Do yourself a favor, save your money, and buy WWE 2K14. The minor improvements to combat and commentary in 2K15 don't even come close to making up for what was lost.

With 25...what can you do? Updated Rollins, Ambrose. Stardust. The few main roster guys left out. You can't even fill out the entire NXT roster.

In 2k14 I had the whole main roster, NXT, TNA, ROH, WCW, ECW, practically everything. If I got bored with one roster, I could activate a different one in universe. It was excellent. Here I can't do that.

Like I said I'll grab the game when it's used but at a $60 price point I fear I'll get bored very fast not being able to customize my game the way I did last year.</font>

NXT Mode is fun if you watch NXT. Except for Michael Cole and King doing the commentary. It's off like when JR did Michael Cole's line when Foley won the WWE Title on Raw in Worcester. They're stealing lines from Regal, Tom Phillips and Byron Sexton and it feels off. Really odd.

So far somewhat enjoyed CM Punk/Cena rivalry. They skip way too much of Punk's dominance as WWE Champion. They only have one match with Daniel Bryan (tag with cena vs. bryan/big show) after Money in the Bank '12 and no Jericho. Also you play as Ryback in Hell in the Cell. Seems dumb to play as somebody not even in the rivalry aspect of the game.

Haven't tried any of Triple H/HBK. That should be epic so I want to save that one for as long as possible. Crank out the "Fight" theme song from SummerSlam 02 and mark the fuck out.

Feel like we haven't gotten any really good news about this game in a while, so this was a welcome new feature.

Now what I want to know is if Superstar Threads is still in the game, or if basic color swaps will have to be done in Edit mode, and therefore take up CAWs spots. I like to have different color options for wrestlers that frequently use different color attires, and looking at the roster there are a lot of guys like that. But if it uses a CAW slot, I'll pretty much be stuck with the defaults, since even if I didn't make any CAWs, there's not enough room for all the alternate attires you can make.

I can deal with the limitations so far but this would make the new edit mode not worth it in my opinion. I know fans have wanted it for a long time, but if having it means giving up so much, than I'd rather wait a year til they can explore the console's capabilities better, and be able to implement it in a better way.

Game Informer rated the PS3 version a 7, which seems moderately generous, especially when their minimum score threshold for any game they review to be considered "recommended" by them is 7.5 (you'd think it'd be at least 8 but it's not).

I'm being sarcastic. I made a diva named Jessica from the Wii version. I used Redbox to rent it. Coming from a Wii to 360, my learning curve is slightly different than most.

The graphics are okay. I always used to say that is the game didn't do the Divas well, then the game is garbage. The did some of the Divas well; Cameron and AJ look good, others, like Naomi, has too much issues with lighting.

The lack of a deep create an entrance is messed up. I enjoyed the CAW experience overall because my CAW looks better.

The commentary is passible, but the more popular the wrestler, the more things they will say about him. And I found some bugs in the hour I played it (I watched Lucha Underground), but it didn't detract from my experience.

I'll get 2k14 first and rent 2k15 to build my CAW, so if I buy the game, I can hit the ground running.

The Jessica Rabbit thing sounds like a good idea though.
