still, we have been waiting for this game for months, and with only 2 weeks left it might be cancelled, it's just stupid

Well to be honest, I doubt it will be. It's only Jakks being sued, but because THQ and Jakks are owned by the same people, both names need to go up on the document or something like that.

here is a good breakdown of what it means from a message board I frequent
http://www.ga-forum.com/showthread.php?t=19630
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Bell gets hired on as licensing director
* WWE hires SSAI (owned/operated by Stanley Shenker) as an outside licensing agent on Bell's recommendation. Seems Shenker and Bell know each other personally.
* Jakks gets a license for WWE from Bell/Shenker
* After this deal is made, SSAI also becomes an outside licensing agent for Jakks. This deal is not disclosed to WWE.
* SSAI makes deals between WWE and Jakks while acting as both their agents!
* SSAI and Jakks receive outside legal counsel against the obvious conflict of interest.
* All parties ignore the legal advice and instead conceal the transactions via money laundering and such.
There's also some stuff about commissions and such, but most of it looks like it itemizes each known transaction.
So basically the outside licensing agent got caught double-dipping, and Jakks/THQ got caught bribing the licensing agent to get lucrative contracts.

No it's not you douche.
Neither of their themes is correct.
Ya what ever man I mean how hard is it.Piper's music has bag pips going doesn't do much else it may be slightly different but agin it's bag pipes anyway and id probably the theme he used on Piper's Pit.That is Snuka's theme the last time he came out on Raw with the Rock and Mae Young I believe. So don't call me a douche because your tone deaf

IGN has some stuff on this SHIT too
World Wrestling Entertainment announced today it has filed suit against a number of parties related to its licenses, including toy manufacturer Jakks Pacific and videogame publisher THQ -- long the home of hugely popular WWE-licensed games.
In essence, the suit alleges that former WWE Senior Vice President of Licensing and Merchandising James Bell and licensing agent Stanley Shenker & Associates, Inc. (SSAI), received money from Jakks in order to secure videogame rights to WWE properties for a joint venture of Jakks and THQ. The suit further alleges that Bell recommended WWE make SSAI its licensing agent after Bell received payment from SSAI.
The suit claims violations under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO); violations of the anti-bribery provisions of the Robinson-Patman Act; as well as claims under state law.
WWE is seeking damages as well as a declaration that the videogame license with the joint venture of Jakks and THQ, and a related amendment to the toy license with Jakks, are void due to commercial bribery. This could effectively mean an end to THQ's WWE-licensed titles.
In a statement, WWE CEO Linda McMahon said, "We very much regret having to take this action today, but regret even more the facts and circumstances which have compelled us to do so. WWE's intellectual property is a valuable asset of the Company, and we believe the actions taken today are necessary to preserve the integrity of our licensing process and essential to ensure that WWE receives appropriate and fair compensation for the grant of a license to use our intellectual property."
THQ's multi-million selling WWE-licensed games, including the much-anticipated Smackdown vs. Raw expected next month, already comprise one of the most successful videogame franchises today.
What this will mean for the future of WWE-licensed games -- and, of course, THQ's involvement -- is uncertain. Of course, we'll have more on the situation very soon. Stay tuned.

Oh life is just getting fucked up. I hope they come out with this. After they showed us like all the videos and feattures for it. I will just have to go to L.A. and steal the game from IGN. I highly doubt it will work. Worth a try. But people have already pre-ordered the game so Jakks should fight back on this.
Plus they already started the count down!!!NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I DID'NT EVEN GET TO HEAR KANES ENTRANCE OR SEE LEGEND UNDERTAKER!!!! I cant belive this.2 weeks unti lthe game is out. And they cancel it!!!!!! DAMNIT!!!!

Before Animal was a wrestler, he was a high school All-American in both baseball and football. Although he was offered several scholarships in baseball, Animal set his sights on the gridiron. THQ Comments on WWE Lawsuit
CALABASAS HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 2004--THQ(R) Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) offered comments today concerning the lawsuit filed by World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. (NYSE:WWE) (the "WWE") earlier today against JAKKS Pacific, Inc. (NASDAQ:JAKK), THQ and others.
THQ is committed to preserving its rights under the videogame license with the WWE. THQ believes the WWE is pleased with the manner in which THQ has managed their brand in the video game category. As THQ is not directly accused of any wrongdoing in the complaint -- rather the complaint alleges wrongdoing on the part of JAKKS Pacific and others of which THQ was and is unaware -- THQ is not in a position to comment on these allegations. In any event, either there is no basis for terminating the video game license, or THQ expects to be made whole by those whose conduct is eventually found to be unlawful. THQ intends to vigorously protect and pursue its rights, if necessary.
The lawsuit has no effect on games currently scheduled for release, including WWE SmackDown!(TM) vs. Raw(TM), which is scheduled to ship on November 2.

Notes on Hawk:
- UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURGH WHAT A RUSH! Hawk comes down to the ring wearing his trademark Spiked Shoulder pads. He walks down the ramp and gets in the ring. He climbs the top rope and taunts.
- Match starts out against Rhyno, no pre-match battles. Hawk hits first with a flying shoulder tackle. Rhyno then gets lifted up by Hawk for a gorilla press slam. After holding him up there for abit and doing a couple of reps with Rhyno, Hawk drops him face first. Hawk picks up Rhyno and delivers a nasty shoulder breaker, then a underhook backbreaker and a spinebuster.
- Hawk stomps away on Rhyno before picking him up and leveling him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Hawk hits a butterfly suplex and a stalling verticle suplex. Rhyno then gets taken down again with a single arm ddt.
- Hawk hits a big boot on Rhyno then whips him into the corner. Hawk then gives Rhyno the ol' snake eyes. Hawk then hits his neckbreaker finisher and pins Rhyno after 3:18.
Even though the theme is a rip off, I'm glad they still got the what a rush part in

Notes on Animal:
- UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURGH WHAT A RUSH! Animal comes down to the ring wearing his trademark Spiked Shoulder pads. He walks down the ramp and gets in the ring. He climbs the top rope and taunts.
- Match starts out 6 seconds in against Tajiri. Animal misses a clothesline and Tajiri just connects with a healkick. Tajiri kicks Animal in the ass and stomps on him abit. Animal fights back with a chop and drops Tajiri with a big boot. Tajiri then gets gorilla pressed and thrown face first. Animal then gives Tajiri a shoulder breaker and a choketoss. Animal then lands three backbreakers on Tajiri.
- Animal scoops up Tajiri and slams him down hard. Animal knee's Tajiri in the gut and then suplex's him. Animal then puts Tajiri down with a Belly-to-belly suplex.
- Animal stomps on Tajiri and drops the elbow on him. Animal gives Tajiri an Atomic Drop, then whips him into the corner. He gives Tajiri the ol' snake eyes and then gives him his powerslam finisher. Animal wins after 1:57.

Disturbed316

Just realised I'm busy later, so here are the notes from Taboo Tuesday:
The video opens up with the Official trailer from the game. Once that is over the Summerslam set appears so the first match looks to be the Elmination Chamber match. Doing the commentry is Jeremy Dunham and Ivan Sulic. John Robertson is away on business, so thats why Ivan is filling in for him.
So first match up the Elimination Chamber:
- Christian comes out first. He makes his way down to the ring. They explain how the Elimination Chamber match came about, saying it was 6 from the other 7 guys who didn't win the other polls. The guy who got left out is A-Train. Matt Hardy is second out. According to Matt facts, Matt like thin crust pizza and has four different phone numbers. Rhyno is the third guy to make an enterance. Tajiri is next out, they talk about how come the former ECW guys wear the singlets. Plaumbo is out next and they joke about how long six enterances can go on for. Garrison Cade is the last guy out. They joke about how uninteresting he is.
- The match starts out with Palumbo going against Tajiri. The guys explain the rules of the Elimination Chamber. Tajiri is getting the upper hand over Palumbo, landing with kicks and punches. They talk about the improvements of the chamber compared to HCTP. Garrison Cade is released from his chamber and is taken the piss out of again. Palumbo is dominating Cade, and hits a cool looking samone drop. They say that the Elimination Chamber matches have happen twice, both at SummerSlam, which is completly wrong, as the first was at Survivor Series. Rhyno is the next guy out of his chamber.
- Palumbo whips Tajiri into the chamber and the glass breaks. Christian is next out. They talk about how the AI is still abit dodgy, saying why are they just fighting on the steel floor and not in the ring. Matt Hardy is the last guy out of his chamber. They talk about Rumble Roses, and how it uses last years Smackdown engine. Meanwhile, Cade pins Palumbo on the outside and is eliminated. I had hoped they would fix that, but I guess not. All five wrestlers are in the ring now. Tajiri hits Cade with the Buzzsaw kick and pins him for the three.
- They talk about how wrestling has evolved from straight out wrestling to the more hardcore wrestling. Tajiri gets thrown into another chamber and the glass breaks again. Rhyno then pins Tajiri. They talk about the Diva's and how not many people care about them in the game. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate on Rhyno, but Christian goes and attempts to pin Hardy. Christian whips Rhyno into a chamber. Christian then hits a hurricanrana on Hardy and pins him.
- Christian goes for a Gore on Rhyno, but misses. They talk about the lawsuit between THQ and the WWE. Christian locks in a submission on Rhyno, but he escapes. Christian then hits a lowblow on Rhyno and gets the 3 count for the win.
Next match is the Tag Team TLC match.
Disturbed316
10-20-2004, 01:09 PM
Tag Team TLC match: Kane & Batista vs Edge & Chris Benoit
- They say how this match came about, it was the runners up from the world title match and the intercontinental match. Batista is the first guy out, they think he will go a long way in the business. Kane is out next. They say why did Kane take his mask off and talk how Kane is a big Rainbow Six fan. Benoit is next out, along with Edge. Edge slides in the ring and Benoit climbs in normally.
- Batista and Edge start out wrestling whilst Benoit gets a sledgehammer. So far Batista and Kane are killing Benoit and Edge, but the tide turns when Edge and Benoit grab weapons. They say how they would like to see this match in real life. Aparantly Kane is only 29. They talk about the Snitsky/Kane storyline. Kane and Batista are beating the crap out of Edge with chairs. They then talk about the Bossman/Big Show fued, in which Bossman taunted Show about his dead dad.
- Benoit whips Kane onto the announcers table but Kane gets up and powerslams Benoit through the table. Whilst that is going on, in the ring Batista has just given Edge his Sitdown Powerbomb, but Edge reverses it. Kane kills Edge with a nasty chair shot, which shows a new animation. They talk about the dirty meter, and what it can do. Kane activates his dirty meter and uses it to chokes out Edge. Kane then hits his Powerbomb pin move on Benoit before Edge breaks it up.
- They talk about the clean meter. Kane whacks Benoit with the chair and then puts him in the Crossface. Batista hits Edge with the steps and busts him open and then does it to Benoit. Batista activates his dirty meter but doesn't do it. Edge DDT's Kane onto the chair and gets a 2 count. Benoit locks Batista in the Sharpshooter, but escapes. Edge hits the Edgeucation on Batista and gets the 3 count.
Next match is Shelton Benjamin vs Chris Jericho.

Shelton Benjamin vs Chris Jericho
- Shelton Benjamin comes out first, then Jericho comes out. They talk about how Jeremy beat Benjamin at HCTP. The match starts out with a test of strength battle which Benjamin wins. They talk about the other battles. They say that everytime you wrestle that a battle will happen if you have them on, unlike the previous builds when they were slightly more random.
- Jericho gets a 2 count after a northern lights suplex. Jericho is pretty much dominating the match. They talk about how Benjamin taught Brock Lesnar how to wrestle and how they trainned together. Jericho hits the running Enziguri on Benjamin but gets a 2 count. Jericho has Benjamin in a headlock, but Benjamin gets to the rope but holds on to the hold till the count of 4. They talk at how the crowd looks this year.
- Benjamin hits a t-bone suplex on Jericho and then drops him with a reverse DDT. Jericho gets whipped into the corner and Benjamin hits a stinger splash. Jericho fights back but Benjamin regains control. They talk some more about the AI using submission moves. Benjamin hits Jericho with a powerslam and pins him for the 3 count.
Next match is Orton vs Flair.

Ironman Match: Randy Orton vs Ric Flair
As this match goes on for 15 minutes, I will only note the main parts and pinfalls/submissions.
- Ric Flair comes out first, and they say how he looks like Skeletor. Orton is out next. Orton now has his proper music. The enterance is exactly the same, but with new music. Jeremy bangs his elbow on the table and they joke about it for abit, pretty "LOL" commentry there.
- Orton gets the first fall after an RKO. They talk about the production quality of games around today. Orton hits another RKO, but doesn't go for a pin. They say that the WWE didn't want the Diva's to bleed.
- Orton gets a second pinfall by a powerslam right on 0:00. Orton wins the match 2-0.
Next up is HBK vs Triple H
Disturbed316

Shawn Michaels vs Triple H
- HBK comes out first. They explain how this match come about. Triple H comes out next. They say how older wrestlers should walk away with dignity instead of going past their prime and ruining their legecy. They say that Triple H has the best intro.
- Match opens with a staredown. HBK takes the early advantage. They talk about how on earth people got to know how Triple H and Stephanie McMahon got married. They say how Ric Flair would let other guys win the title cleanly, where as Hulk Hogan wouldn't.
- HBK is in control of the match and they talk about how Triple H is always champion. They say how this match is quite life like to the real HBK/Triple H matches. Triple H is fighting back kicking HBK about. HBK goes for a Sweet Chin Music, but gets reversed and Triple H hits the Pedigree. A nice sequence of moves. They say how it is likely to have one more Smackdown game on the PS2, because they wouldn't skip a year to wait for the PS3.
- Triple H nails HBK with another Pedigree and pins him for the 3 count.
Next up is Bret Hart vs Andre the Giant

Bret Hart vs Andre the Giant
- Andre comes out first, to no music. He comes out on stage and raises his arm, and continues to the ring. Andre looks fucking amazing. Andre steps over the top rope and taunts the crowd.
- OH MY FUCKING GOD! BRET HART HAS HIS MUSIC!    Wow, I dont think I'd ever mark out for a video game before, but I now have :D None of the legends have Titan Trons, but who cares really. Bret comes out and walks down to the ring. He looks soooooo good. Bret gets in the ring and taunts the crowd. HOLY CRAP BRET GOES OUT OF THE RING AND GIVES HIS GLASSES AWAY  Wow, I need to calm down abit.
- The match starts off with a staredown. Bret gets the first blow in. They say Andre is the only Superheavyweight wrestler in the game, and ONLY the Big Show can pick Andre up, and possibly Kane.
- Bret is working over the arms and legs of Andre, but Andre gets up and clobbers Hart. Andre gets whipped into the corner and Bret starts a chop battle. They talk about different Andre stories. They talk about one time Andre was out drinking, and some guys started heckling him about his size, and he chased them out into their volkswager, which he then turned over.
- Hart gives Andre a tornado type DDT from Andre's shoulders, and then hits a normal DDT. Andre then gives Bret a Bubba Bomb, which turns Bret's body yellow. He then walks over the hitmans stomach.
- Andre hits his finisher, a big splash, on Bret but only for a 2 count. Hart comes back with a moonsault off the top rope. They talk about how improved the weight detection system is. Bret hits another moonsault but Andre kicks out after 1. Hart then continues to work the knee of Andre before Andre throws him out the ring.
- Bret goes for a DDT but Andre reverses it with a leg trip. Bret whips Andre into the steps. Jeremy says how he sat next to one of Stephanies friends and was behind The Rocks family at Wrestlemania 19. Bret does some cruiserweight moves on Andre before locking him in the Sharpshooter, but Andre holds on and doesn't tap. Hart is in control of the match at this time, but then Andre backbody drops him and drops a huge elbow (his second finisher), but Bret is too close to the ropes.
- Bret goes for a gutwrench, but because of the weight detection, he cant. Bret whips Andre into the corner and starts another Chop Battle. Hart gets a good first chop, a bad second one, and then Andre kills Hart with a chop when its his turn. He then busts open Hart with a boot to the face. Andre then gives Bret a huge knee to the face and pins him for the 3.
The video ends with highlights of how the winners won their matches, and thank us for viewing. The say that next friday they will have the first online review of the game.

Well that was along time of watching a video game. Some great stuff there, the Bret Hart vs Andre the Giant match has to be seen to be believed, it seems odd that they are in the game, but great that they are.
Didn't really see that many new things in this video, apart from the legend's enterances. I am now even more pumped up for this game then I was before.

<font color=goldenrod>For anyone wanting to get some early planning in on their CAW stats, here is what I figure the OVR rating system in SVR to be:
1. Add all 6 stats
2. Divide by 6
3. Move one decimal place to the right if need be and round
4. Add 6
That should give you your OVR</font>

Ed Leslie's wrestling career, once looking to always be going up, turned downward rapidly after one fateful day. Although some reports have Leslie beginning his wrestling career in 1984, there was a "Dizzy Ed Hogan" in the NWA in 1983 who twice won the NWA Southeastern Tag-Team Titles with Ken Lucas. In 1984, Leslie was wrestling as Brutus Beefcake in the WWF. In August 1985, he teamed with Greg "The Hammer" Valentine to win the WWF Tag Team Titles from Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo. The Dream Team held the belts for a little more than 7 months before being beaten by the British Bulldogs. This was the last title reign of Leslie's career, as the Dream Team soon went their separate ways.
Soon after, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake became a fan favorite for his hair-shaving of his opponents after they were knocked out from his sleeper. He became a great friend of Hulk Hogan, and the two helped build the reputation of the WWF up to new heights. Then, in August 1990, tragedy struck. Leslie was in a freak parasailing accident, in which a parasailer accidentally ran into him while in mid-flight, kneeing Leslie in the face. The injury was very severe, as it basically caved his face in. Over 100 steel plates were put into Leslie's head, to help restore his facial structure. The major consensus was that Leslie would never wrestle again.
In late 1993, Brutus Beefcake reappeared on the scene of the WWF, wrestling with a special "mask" to secure his face. He even teamed with a formerly retired Hogan to wrestle against Ted DiBiase and I.R.S. (Michael Rotunda) at Wrestlemania IX. But Beefcake's wrestling career was slowly sinking away. He began a talk show through WWF called "The Barber Shop", which was somewhat popular. But when, in 1993, Hogan went to WCW, Leslie followed, after a brief tour in New Japan Professional Wrestling.
Leslie attempted many gimmicks through WCW, but very few were successful. He turned on Hogan and became "The Butcher" for a while, joining the Three Faces Of Fear. The gimmick did not appear to work well, however, and soon Leslie became The Zodiac, a member of the Dungeon of Doom. After a few less-than-inspiring matches, Leslie left WCW for a brief hiatus, before returning in 1996 as The Booty Man, a poorly conceived character who did not last long. After attempting to join the nWo with his old friend Hollywood Hogan (and being severely beaten for his efforts) the Booty Man disappeared from the scene.
In February 1998, the Disciple appeared by the side of Hollywood Hogan. He had a brief feud with Diamond Dallas Page, but was mainly the follower of Hogan, rescuing him time and again with his Apocalypse (a version of the Chartbuster). In September '98, however, the Disciple was "abducted" by the Warrior, appearing occasionally facedown in the ring, then disappearing before Hogan could reach him. During a Monday Nitro, the Disciple appeared next to the Warrior, wearing an OWN jacket. He then became the second member of the One Warrior Nation. When Hogan "retired" in December '98, Ed Leslie disappeared from wrestling, and has not reappeared since.

As a teenager in suburban East Setauket, New York, Mick Foley hitchhiked to New York City's Madison Square Garden to experience the WWE in person. Years later, WWE archivists would discover video of a young Foley cheering at ringside while his hero, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, leaped off a steel cage onto "Magnificent" Don Muraco. With his buddies on Long Island, the self-effacing Foley dubbed himself Dude Love, a jive-talking flower child with a knack for pleasing the ladies, and starred in several homemade wrestling movies. In one, he dives off a friend's house onto a bed of mattresses. Eventually, a local wrestling promoter saw a copy and allowed Foley to gain a foothold in the business.
While attending the State University of New York-Cortland, Foley would drive 400 miles each weekend to be trained by Dominic DeNucci, a former WWE Tag Team Champion, at his school outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Foley would sleep in his car and survive on peanut butter sandwiches. DeNucci admired the youngster's determination and ability to withstand pain, but the Italian legend had one requirement for his student: he could only train if he completed his education.
Occasionally, Foley would show up at WWE television tapings and lose to whichever Superstar the organization was promoting at the moment. As Cactus Jack—an unruly character said to be from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico—he began making a name for himself at small shows in high school gymnasiums, as well as at arenas as far away as Japan and Africa. It was in the Land of the Rising Sun that Foley became a cult figure by battling in a ring surrounded by flames and suffering second-degree burns on his shoulder in a 1995 King of the Death Match. By then, word had spread throughout the wrestling community that Foley was relatively indifferent to pain. Over the years, he received more than 300 stitches, six concussions and one broken jaw. In 1994, part of his ear was ripped off when he got his head caught between the top and middle ropes in a match in Germany.
In 1996, he entered WWE as Mankind, a tortured figure in a leather mask who rocked back and forth in the sewer and was said to have smashed his piano-playing fingers with a hammer to thwart his mother's attempts to turn him into a perfect gentleman. Mankind's finisher was the Mandible Claw—a maneuver that required him to jam his mangled fingers down an opponent's throat until he submitted. His emergence coincided with WWE's new, edgier "Attitude." Given a wide creative berth, Foley was eventually portrayed as a man with three distinct personalities: Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love.
His most notable clash occurred at the 1998 King of the Ring, where he met the Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell Match—with the ring surrounded on all sides by a steel cage. In the course of the action, Mankind was thrown through a table from the top of the enclosure, then climbed back up and slammed through the roof of the cage. Before the brawl ended, Foley had dislocated his jaw (a trainer snapped it into place), broken several ribs and blacked out twice.
A few months later, WWE head Vince McMahon created the organization's Hardcore Title specifically for Foley to defend. "Mr. Socko," a dirty sweat sock, also made its debut at the time, and Foley's character morphed into a goofy fan favorite, and one of the most popular superstars in WWE. In fact, a segment on a September 1999 RAW IS WAR featuring Mick and another ultra-popular superstar, The Rock, generated the highest rating in the history of sports entertainment. Unfortunately, all the torture he weathered in the ring eventually caught up with him, and Foley retired in 2000, becoming WWE Commissioner not long afterwards. Mr. McMahon would "fire" him as commissioner that December so that, in real life, Foley could spend more time with his wife, who was about to give birth to their third child.

Notes on Mankind:
- Mankind's real music hits and we see a lovely WWE logo for a couple of seconds before it switches back and we see Mankind walking out on stage. He raises his arm, and continues to walk down to the ring. Foley rolls into the ring and taunts some more before climbing the ropes to taunt from up there.
- Match starts out against The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. Foley gets the first blow in with a kick and follows up with a gutbuster. Must say, the cell is abit anoying, as you have to look through it to see the wrestlers and its abit obstructive. Foley headbuts Taker and gives him a pulling piledriver. He then gives Taker a series of headbuts before doing the Cactus Jack "BANG BANG" taunt.
- Foley drops an elbow on Taker, and for some reason I notice Mankind's tie. It has a nice animation to it and swings about when he moves, like it would in real life. Foley gives Taker a DDT, which busts him open. He then gives him a series of punches to his head and when Taker gets up, Mankind gives him a suplex and a sidewalk slam.
- Video opens with Taker taunting on the floor and Mankind on top of the cell. Taker climbs up and reverses a dropkick from Foley. Out of nowhere, Mankind gives Taker the Mandible claw. Taker no sells it and sits straight back up when Mankind lets go of the hold. Mankind then gives Taker a backbody drop, which dents on of the cells panels. He then gives him the Double Arm DDT and goes through the cell. Foley then pins Taker after 4:00.
Some nice stuff here. I noticed that the cell matches take place with the new side camera angle, where as in earlier builds of the game it was the same as in HCTP.

Notes on Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake:
- Comes out to some funky music, I never really saw Beefcake wrestle as a singles competitor, so I dont know whether its his real music or not. He comes out on stage with his Barber Sheers and does a chopping action with them all the way down to the ring. He then gets into the ring via the steps and climbs up the top rope to taunt everyone. His music would be good for an Owen Hart CAW by the way.
- Match starts out with a shove battle betwen Beefcake and Dupree. Beefcake's first shove needs "more power" according to the meter. Dupree then gives a "terrible" shove and the match properly begins. Dupree runs at Beefcake and gets him in a backslide pin, but is to close to the ropes. Beefcake nails Dupree with a dropkick and follows up with a Kitchen Sink knee. Beefcake lifts up Dupree and gives him a Tilt-a-wirl slam, a atomic drop and a backbreaker. Beefcake then does some strange pointing dance taunt.
- Dupree drops Beefcake with a close line and Beefcake comes back with a suplex. Beefcake gives Dupree some chops and a russian leg sweep. Beefcake rakes the eyes of Dupree and then locks in his sleeperhold. Dupree manages to get the yellow ball in the reverse section and reverses the move and locks Beefcake in the sleeper. Beefcake manages to get the yellow ball in the escape section to get out of the hold.
- Dupree gives Beefcake a DDT and then gets clotheslined out of his boots with a massive clothesline. Beefcake gives Dupree a swinging neckbreaker and does his pointing dance taunt. Dupree interupts this taunt and gets some dirty meter for doing it. Dupree then does the French Tickler  Beefcake goes out side and slingshots Dupree then gets back in the ring and gives him the Super Atomic Drop. Beefcake goes for the cover and pins Dupree after 5:00.
A nice match there and was really impressed by the sleeperhold reversal, looked very fluid and very cool.

There's nothing small about Kane. At seven feet tall, and over 300 pounds, the Big Red Monster has been terrorizing opponents, and making waves since his debut seven years ago. And even that was huge.
Following months of speculation, Kane made his first appearance on October 5, 1997, at Badd Blood, when he ripped the cage door off during a match between Shawn Michaels and Undertaker—the first-ever Hell in the Cell. Kane and 'Taker then stood toe to toe during a chilling stare down, until Kane kicked the Phenom in the stomach, and Tombstoned him in the center of the ring, allowing a bloodied and battered Michaels to pin Undertaker for the victory.
Despite the unwarranted attack, Undertaker vowed he would not wage war against his own flesh and blood in front of a national audience, but as Kane's assaults continued, the Deadman was left with no choice. At WrestleMania XIV, the half-brothers met for the first time in singles competition, and after three Tombstones, 'Taker was victorious.
After his brutal WrestleMania match, Kane continued to climb the ranks, and at King of the Ring '98, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kane clashed in a First Blood Match—the first competitor to make his opponent bleed would win the match. As an added stipulation, Kane promised that if he lost he'd set himself on fire. This match gave Kane a distinct advantage over Austin; since he wore a mask and most of his body was covered by his red ring attire, it was nearly impossible to confirm if he was bleeding. During the match, the referee was knocked out, and Undertaker ran to the ring to interfere. He missed a chair shot on Kane and nailed Austin in the head, busting him wide open. Even bloodied, Austin continued his assault on Kane, but when the referee regained consciousness, he awarded the match to Kane. 'Taker later revealed that he intended to bust open Stone Cold so that Kane wouldn't set himself on fire.
The next night on RAW, Mr. McMahon decorated the ring with a red canvas, and only eight months after his debut, Kane was crowned the new WWE Champion. However, his reign was one of the shortest ever, as Kane lost the title back to Austin later that night.
Since his loss to Stone Cold, Kane has has enjoyed several reigns as the Intercontinental, Hardcore, and World Tag Team Champion - that he held with RVD. And it was during his pairing with RVD that Kane experienced one of the most emotional nights of his career.
After being egged on for weeks about becoming "soft," Kane agreed to a match, where if he was didn't win, he would remove his trademark mask. Despite a valiant effort, Kane was unsuccessful, and as RAW came to a close, the seven-footer untied, and removed his veil, revealing his hideous mug to the world.

If any one Superstar symbolizes WWE, it's the Undertaker.
For more than a dozen years, the Undertaker has been a WWE mainstay. He's battled all the greats -- from Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior to Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock -- and lived to tell about it. No other Superstar has ever had the run of success enjoyed by the Deadman -- no one.
A multiple-time WWE Champion, Taker has had the privilege of performing in main events all over the U.S., North America and the world. In fact, Taker's WrestleMania record is second to none -- he is an amazing 12-0 at WrestleMania.
The Undertaker has also been at the forefront of some of the most original matches and concepts in WWE history. He is the innovator of Inferno Matches, Casket Matches, and, of course, the famed Hell in the Cell. He is also constantly in the hunt for the WWE Championship.

Notes on "Masked" Kane:
- The enterance is the same as normal Kane's, they didn't even bother to put his old music in. Although he does look good.
- Match starts out against normal Kane, 7 seconds in. MK gives Kane a choke toss and a backbreaker. Alot of moves get reversed before MK lays out Kane with a big boot.
- MK gives Kane a clothesline and a full nelson slam. MK picks up Kane and give him another choketoss and follows up with a shoulder breaker. MK picks up Kane once again and gives him a powerslam.
- MK gives Kane a suplex and taunts. MK then gives Kane the powerbomb pin move, but is broken up by a rope break. MK then gives Kane the chokeslam and pins him for the 3 after 2:16.
Looks like both Masked Kane and Legend Undertaker are going to have EXACTLY the same move set as the origninals

Notes on "Legend" Undertaker:
- It's the same as the modern day Undertaker. When you see a close up of Takers face, it looks so amazingly life like and looks really freaky when he rolls his eyes.
- Match starts out against modern day Undertaker. LU's hair looks like a wig has been whacked on his head. LU gets the first blow in with a clothesline and gives him a choketoss. He gives him a spinebuster and then gives him a full nelson slam. After a shoulder breaker, LU does some taunts.
- Taker gets taken out by a big boot from LU, who then grabs him by the neck and throws him across the ring. LU gives Taker another shoulder breaker and a sidewalk slam before taunting some more.
- Taker is down, but sits back up. LU whips him into the corner and does the Old School armlock punch thing. LU picks him up and gives him a tombstone piledriver, but is broken up by the ropes. He picks him up again and then gives him his chokeslam finisher and pins him after 3:57.
Must say I am a little disappointed about these last two legends, nothing is different apart from their attire and Legend Undertaker has a chokeslam as a finisher.

just wonderin if anybody else got some weird 30 second clip before they could view any of the vids.
BUt anyway I'm guess this is their way of short changin us for makin such an awesome game. Takin some shortcuts with Legend Undertaker- which they say weighs 305 lbs. when he clearly weighed 328 lbs. at the time. Sorry a lil nit picky there. Then the entrance... good grief. But Kane they really took short cuts on. It was a lil sad... but ah well. They really didn't need to screw up the name like that either.

T-Man is right, you cant get thrown out the limo like that, well, not out the front seat anyway.
The animations (from what I've seen) for the limo at the front door is you get your head put through the window, and at the back seat is where you get chucked in, ruffled up and then thrown back out again.
Judging from that shot, it looks like it somekind of cut-scene in season mode.

FUCK! This was posted on IGN's boards from Jeremy:
A lot of people have been asking me about this, and so I figured I'd confirm that it's true. You can't use legends in Season Mode. As some of you may remember, THQ informed us a few months ago that they would be playable; and was part of the plan -- but apparently, it wasn't included in the final build. I haven't been given an official reason why it was removed yet, but then again, I haven't really asked either.
Hope that answers some questions.

He is the most electrifying man in sports and entertainment. He is quickly becoming one of the most recognized faces on the planet and one of the hottest celebrities in all walks of life.
Call him whatever you want, but to the millions—and millions—of fans around the world, there is no substitute for The Rock.
A third generation WWE Superstar, The Rock at first did not plan to follow in the family tradition of sports entertainment stardom, but instead used his athletics heredity on the gridiron where he starred for the University of Miami. After a very brief professional football career, The Rock decided to give WWE a shot—a choice that would prove to begin a new era in the entertainment world. In only a few years, The Rock was a multi-time WWE Champion and one of the most celebrated superstars to ever set foot in the ring.
But it was more than his ability to layeth the smacketh down in the ring that made The Rock a Superstar. His quick wit, charisma, and ability to talk smack earned such raves that "The People's Champion" was asked to speak to the people over and over again. Among his many famous public appearances were a stint hosting "Saturday Night Live" in 2000 and a speech at the 2002 Republican National Convention.
By 2001, The Rock became a multi-media superstar, having starred in the feature film, "The Mummy Returns," and its highly successful prequel, "The Scorpion King." His autobiography, "The Rock Says…" was a New York Times No. 1 bestseller.
Recently, The Rock may have earned his biggest box office break to date with a starring role in "Walking Tall," an action drama based on a true story that is expected to be even more successful than his previous hit, "The Rundown." While many consider The Rock to be Hollywood's next great superstar, he still believes that World Wrestling Entertainment is his home and is ready to return to the ring when duty calls. When Mick Foley suffered injury and humiliation at the hands of Evolution, Rocky returned to RAW to reform the Rock 'n' Sock Connection and the two competed as a team at WrestleMania XX. While Evolution walked out as the winner, The Rock proved that he has not lost his touch in the ring and at the microphone and is as beloved as a WWE Superstar now more than ever!

http://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/article/558/558957/wwe-smackdown-vs-raw-20041022023715318.jpg
Height: 7'5"
Hometown: Grenoble, FR
Weight: 525LBS
At 7'5" and more than 500 pounds, Andre the Giant could have been famous for his size alone. His drive, talent and ambition, however, proved to be as big as Andre himself, and the wrestler became legendary for his achievements in and out of the ring. Andre was born Andre Rene Roussimoff in Grenoble, France on May 19, 1946. His parents, Boris and Marian Roussimoff, and four siblings were of average size. Andre, however, suffered from acromegaly, a disease that results in an over abundance of growth hormones. Also known as Giantism, this disease caused Andre's body to continue growing his whole life, and by the time he was 17 he stood 6'7".
Due to his immense stature it seemed inevitable that Andre would excel in the wrestling world. He had just started to make a name for himself in the ring as "Monster Eiffel Tower" or "Monster Roussimoff" when French-Canadian wrestler Edouard Carpentier first laid eyes on him. Carpentier was impressed with Andre's raw talent and decided to bring him to North America. Andre began wrestling under the name Jean Ferre in Canada for Grand Prix Promotions. In a short time Andre went from the undercard to being a headlining name. Inspired by the movie King Kong he acquired the nickname, "The 8th Wonder of the World," which stayed with him for the rest of his career.
By the time Andre had performed in front of 20,000 wrestling fans in Montreal, his legend had reached Vince McMahon, Sr. at the World Wide Wrestling Federation's (WWWF) headquarters. McMahon would forever alter Andre's life. In 1972, McMahon signed Andre to wrestle for the WWWF and changed his name to capitalize on his enormity. "Andre the Giant" became one of the most recognizable names in wrestling. Andre performed under his new name at Madison Square Garden, where he easily defeated his opponent Buddy Wolfe without breaking a sweat. Before long, Andre's venues were sold out and wrestlers lined up to perform in his shadow. As Andre's fame grew to stardom, he was featured in Sports Illustrated in the largest feature they had ever published.
In 1987 Andre drew the biggest crowd in WWF (formerly WWWF) history thus far. A record 90,000 fans packed the Pontiac Silver Dome in Detroit, Michigan to watch Andre wrestle fellow legend Hulk Hogan in the main event of WrestleMania III. In all, Andre participated at six WrestleManias and faced some of the toughest opponents in the business, including Big John Studd and Jake "The Snake" Roberts. For many years he was known as the "Uncrowned Champion," until he found his place in infamy and held the WWF title for the shortest reign in history. This wasn't the only championship Andre captured - he also won titles in the (NWA), (IWA) and the WWF Tag Team Championship.
Andre's fame also opened the door to Hollywood. He made his acting debut in 1975 as "Big Foot" in The Six Million Dollar Man. Andre enjoyed the experience and went on to appear in television shows including B.J. and the Bear, The Fall Guy and The Greatest American Hero, and movies such as Conan the Destroyer, Micki and Maude, and Trading Mom. His favorite role, and the one for which he is best remembered, was the lovable giant "Fezzik" in Rob Reiner's classic The Princess Bride.
Andre's last television appearance was on a celebration of 20 years of NWA/WCW wrestling on TBS. Sadly, over the years the effects of acromegaly had continued to wear down his body. Eventually his immense size was just too much for his heart, and Andre the Giant died in Paris, France in his hotel room on January 27, 1993. His ashes were later taken home and spread over his North Carolina ranch. Though professionally Andre will always be remembered as The 8th Wonder of the World, he is known and loved by fans across the globe as The Gentle Giant.

Height: 7'5"
Hometown: Grenoble, FR

Notes on The Rock:
- "IF YOU SMELL...WHAT THE ROCK...IS COOKING" Large WWE logo shows where Titan Tron would be. It cuts back to see The Rock walk out on stage. He stops halfway down, looks at the crowd, takes a couple of steps back, looks the other side of the crowd and then continues walking to the ring. He walks up the steps and along the apron to the turnbuckle where he climbs up and taunts. The Rock looks fantastic, one of the best models in the game IMO. He gets in the ring and climbs the turnbuckle and taunts again.
- Match starts out against Triple H with a shoving battle. Rock has a terrible first shove so match begins properly. Rock takes down Triple H with a running elbow. Rock then ducks a clothesline from Triple H and hits one of his own. Rock DDT's Triple H and nips up after. He picks up Triple H and then gives him a Samone Drop. Rock then gives Triple H another DDT.
- Rock gives Triple H a suplex and then claps to himself. He then does his "Rock Angry" move. He picks up Triple H and scoopslams him then gives him a dragon screw.
- Video opens with Rock taunting Triple H. He then picks him up and gives him a Rock Bottom. He picks him up and gives him a clothesline. Rock goes over to Triple H's head and does a People's Elbow. The Rock pins Triple H after 5:20
Well it seems that it's HCTP Hollywood Rock in a different attire and new enterance :-\ All his "Hollywood manerisims" are still in :-\

Height: 6'
Hometown: Calgary, Canada
Weight: 235lbs
Bret Hart, son of wrestler and trainer Stu Hart, grew up with many brothers, which made him determined to be a great wrestler like his father. Wrestling with the likes of the British Bulldog and Chris Benoit in his father's Dungeon, Bret soon learned his craft well. He became one of the main attractions as "The Hitman" in the Stampede Federation, as well as a few other organizations. He earned part of his mystique due to his shyness. In interview segments, since he didn't want the audience to see his eyes, he started wearing wraparound shades. With the Calgary Stampede, Bret had two reigns as the British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Champion; was a 5-time International Tag-Team Champion; and won the North American Heavyweight Belt 6 times.
In 1985, he joined the WWF, wrestling in a low-card status for a time. Then he was recruited by Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart and was teamed up with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, his future brother-in-law, forming the rulebreakers known as the Hart Foundation. After a year together, the team finally made it to the top, defeating the British Bulldogs for the Tag-Team Titles in January '87, partially thanks to the help of Danny Davis, the referee they had paid off. They engaged in feuds with the Bulldogs for the next few months, which included making Davis wrestle with the Hart Foundation. The team went on to other feuds with various tag-teams in the WWF, holding the belts until the end of October, when they were finally defeated by Strike Force (Tito Santana & Rick Martel).
It didn't take long for Hart to shake up the WWF as a singles competitor. During the King of the Ring competition in '91 (which was televised), Hart defeated Pete Dougherty, Skinner, and Irwin R. Schyster to take the tournament. Because of this win, Hart was given the Intercontinental Title shot against Mr. Perfect (Curt Hennig) at Summerslam. Hart came through, defeating Perfect with his new finisher, the Sharpshooter, to become the champ. Hart held the title until the beginning of '92, when he lost the belt to the Mountie. An illness kept him from getting the rematch for the title, so he gave his shot over to "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper then defeated the Mountie at the Royal Rumble '92. Hart then met Piper for the belt at Wrestlemania VIII. The two fought hard, but kept things clean, as Piper decided not to use a foreign object to win the match. Hart won out in the end, winning the Intercontinental Title for the second time. Hart and Piper then parted as friends.
In October '92, he completed his climb, defeating Ric Flair to become the WWF World Champion. Hart stayed the champion for almost six months, having some great matches with wrestlers like Papa Shango, Shawn Michaels, and Razor Ramon (Scott Hall). The Hitman usually employed the Sharpshooter to come out the victor, and remain the World Champ.
Hart next went back against Shawn Michaels, and the two were set up in a 60-minute Iron Man Match at Wrestlemania XII. It has been argued as being one of the greatest matches in WWF history, as both men went to their limits and beyond. At the end of the time limit, the Hitman had the Heart Break Kid in the Sharpshooter. Unfortunately, the time expired, leaving the decision undecided. This led to the powers that be announcing that the match would continue in Sudden Death. Michaels, able to recover during the short break, managed to get the pin on Bret, taking away the World Title. Hart then left the wrestling business for the next few months, taking some time off to rest and recuperate.
In the later months of '96, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin began sending out challenges to Hart in his interviews. After many insults from Austin, Bret finally reappeared, to the crowd's delight. Hart faced off against Austin in a great technical match at the Survivor Series. The two fought for nearly 30 minutes, with Hart getting the pinfall victory in the end to show that he was still a major player in the WWF. Hart then went back to the top brackets, going after then-World Champion Sycho Sid. Unfortunately, interference from Hart's old nemesis Michaels cost Hart the win.
After facing the Undertaker one more time at One Night Only, where he won via DQ, Hart went through a brief feud against the Patriot and Vader, with the British Bulldog again helping him out. The Canadians won out over the American team. Hart then went back to feuding with Michaels, who had allies of his own in Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Rick Rude (the start of Degeneration-X). The two faced off at Survivor Series '97 in a highly-anticipated match. It soon, however, became one of the most infamous moments in wrestling history. Earlier in the month, Hart had given his notice to Vince McMahon, saying that he was leaving the WWF. This was to be his final match. At one point during the fight, Michaels got Hart in a version of the Sharpshooter. Before Hart could fight his way out, McMahon came out and ended the match, making Michaels the World Champion. The screwjob completely shocked the Hitman, as it wasn't part of the expected storyline. Hart spit in McMahon's face and walked out. It was later claimed that the two fought in the backstage area, with Hart breaking McMahon's jaw. Either way, Hart was finished with the WWF.
In December '97, Bret showed up in WCW; but after years of being under-used and underappreciated, Bret Hart announced his retirement in late 2000 following a serious injury.

Notes on Andre the Giant:
- Andre comes out first, to no music. He comes out on stage and raises his arm, and continues to the ring. Andre looks fucking amazing. Andre steps over the top rope and taunts the crowd.
- Test of Strength starts the match off between Andre and Big Show. Would be interesting to see who would win this in real life. Andre wins it and gets the first blow in. Andre sticks Show's head inbetween his knee's and jumps up and down. Andre then headbutts Show and gives him a side suplex and another headbutt.
- Andre chops down Show and gives him a headbutt to the back of Show's head. Andre slams Show's head into his knee which knocks him out. Andre picks him up and smacks Show in his lower back. Holy Crap! Andre just scoopslammed Big Show. Andre gives Show a sidewalk slam and then taunts.
- Andre knocks down Show with a shoulder tackle and then whips him into the corner where he pounds Show's head on the turnbuckle 10 times. Andre then gives Show his Big Splash, but it's broken up by a ropebreak. Andre drags Show into the middle of the ring and gives him another Big Splash for the 3 after 2:07.
Andre looks amazing. They were fighting in the Wrestlemania 20 arena, which look amazing too.

Notes on Bret Hart:
- Music starts and Bret comes out and walks down to the ring. He looks soooooo good. Bret gets in the ring and taunts the crowd. Bret climbs out of the ring and gives his glasses away to a fan. Bret gets back in the ring and walks around abit.
- Match starts out straight away against Chris Benoit. Hart goes to level Benoit with a clothesline but misses. He gives Benoit a nasty chop which knocks Benoit down. Bret picks him up and gives him a shinebreaker, a gutbuster and a DDT.
- Bret gives Benoit a neckbreaker and a butterfly suplex. Hart picks up Benoit and gives him a snap suplex, and follows it up with a gutwrench suplex.
- Bret whips Benoit into the corner and gives him a suplex off the top. Bret kicks Benoit in the gut and gives him his Piledriver finisher. Bret drags him to the center of the ring and locks in the Sharpshooter. Benoit manages to escape after battling hard and the video ends without showing a winner.
Bret looks absolutley stunning. I can not wait for this game to come out now, despite some of the recent disappointments. Bret is going to be the first legend I unlock. Cant wait

Surprised no-one has posted this yet, but yesterday, there was a Play of the Day at IGN. It's of the Royal Rumble, so all those who missed out on the Insider Rumble, can see this one.
The match is split up into 5 video's which are below. Be warned, they are huge files, part 3 is over 65mb:
Part 1 (35mb) (http://media.sports.ign.com/articles/559/559986/vid_974015.html?mu=http%3A%2F%2Fstreamingmovies.ign.com%2Fsports%2Farticle%2F559%2F559986%2Fpotdrumb le_001_wmvlow.wmv)
Part 2 (36.9mb) (http://media.sports.ign.com/articles/559/559986/vid_974013.html?mu=http%3A%2F%2Fstreamingmovies.ign.com%2Fsports%2Farticle%2F559%2F559986%2Fpotdrumb le_002_wmvlow.wmv)
Part 3 (65.4mb) (http://media.sports.ign.com/articles/559/559986/vid_974011.html?mu=http%3A%2F%2Fstreamingmovies.ign.com%2Fsports%2Farticle%2F559%2F559986%2Fpotdrumb le_003_wmvlow.wmv)

The Finish (50.4mb) (http://media.sports.ign.com/articles/559/559986/vid_974171.html?mu=http%3A%2F%2Fstreamingmovies.ign.com%2Fsports%2Farticle%2F559%2F559986%2Fpotdrumb le2_001_wmvlow.wmv)
And how exactly are you going to do that? Cant do it in season mode.
Damn, didn't know that. :'(

the rumble looks good. I really like that is slightly more difficult to eliminate people. And also I miss havin 6 people in the ring at the same time. And it is pretty cool that they have DOR music durin the matches.

Just noticed they have changed the elimination animation to. In the earlier builds, they just feel to their feet on the floor, now they land on their back aswell.

I don't think the next one will be coming out anytime soon. The time they go to court is December 2009. So we might not get one for a while. :nono:
isn't it the opposite, that means if they go to court 2009.. they still hold the license to make the games till then?
i mean, if they had to stop before the court day, SvR wouldnt' be coming out in 5 days + 0.5 hours

Rumble looks awesome. I watched the third part of it last night, the one that was about 9 minutes, and like...the whole match is probably like a real long time, unless the people who were testing were making it go slow....
A rumble in HCTP would have been over in 9 minutes.

Neah, Gohan3k is right...but then again if they would go to court, there are enough other developers on the market that are willing to make a game for the WWE (PS2,XBOX, CUBE), i think EA could make a great WWE game imo.

I don't know... I mean what other developers out there has wrestling game experience besides Acclaim? and we see how they do with LOW...
Maybe EA, maybe Midway... who does the DOA games on XBox anyway? maybe they could? I dunno. :(

EA did great with Def Jam imo, so i think they are able to make a good wrestling game 2.

10-28-2004, 06:21 PM
Team Ninja of Tecmo does the DOA series. I don't if that's a good choice, granted it'll be a great looking game. WWE/THQ possibly breaking up spells a sad note for gamers. Like when Nintendo and Rare split, and look at Rare, it's a laughing stock now. And Nintendo really needed their magic with the 'Cube struggling in the console wars. Then again, THQ would probably hook up with TNA/NWA, I mean it isn't the first time they jumped licenses (1998's switch from WCW to WWF/E). Long story short, we'll still have quality wrestling games, just not of the WWE variety. Which is sad because THQ with AKI and Yukes as done more justice than WWE's telecast production in the last 3 years.

I quite liked Mayhem, but Backstage Assault was a bad concept from the start.

Good, now I can wait for the new Jap-developed WWE game for XBox.
The graphics have improved a lot which is really cool. I can't wait to go through the season mode and I'm also looking forward to Bret Hart.

I hated Def Jam.
I mean don't get me wrong the graphics were good and such but there is a certain feel when it comes to wrestling that the Def Jam series did not produce... and EA really does not look like a good wrestling developer. I would say they would be at least average.
When the jump was made from Acclaim to THQ things at the beginning looked bleak but still hopeful cause THQ did do wrestling games before. Now when you look at WWE games youthink THQ. Yeah I really wasn't thinkin Tecmo could do a great job I was just thinkin nice graphics. But anyway only time will tell in this situation. But if WWE loses THQ in this whole fiasco then you TNA is gonna pick them up and if TNA does then WWE will be missing quite a bit in the gaming world.

IGN's Sport section has put up some "Classic" matches. It's Bret Hart vs HBK in an Ironman match, Undertaker vs Mankind in a Hell in a Cell match and The Rock vs Triple H in a Ladder match.
All three can be found here (http://sports.ign.com/articles/561/561404p1.html)

Thank you. I hate that pathetic excuse for a "wrestling" game. Boy, would I have loved to have been a fly on the wall when that concept was pitched.

god, I'm playing Bret first chance I get.
ign's full review will be up from 8 - 8:30 pacific time, which i THINK is about 1.5 - 2 hours from now
damn, it only got an 8.4 on IGN!!
the reasons they stated were
-Online mode didn't have enough features
-Only 1 Backstage area
-Easy A.I.
-Season is more linear than last year
-No alternate attires
-No stat tracking in season
-Less wrestlers than in hctp
that's all i can remember.. it's a 5 page review
this game is still gonna kick ass, they were just really dissapointed with the online mode, if online mode wasn't there at all i'm pretty sure the game would have gotten at least 9
Batsu
10-30-2004, 02:32 AM
-No alternate attires
This explains the reason why Kane/Masked Kane and Taker/Legend Undertaker are seperate characters. WACK!!!
I dunno. I'm not expecting more than a 8.9 out of this game, really...
and online really isn't all that important...but gameplay is.
The improved Royal Rumble looks promising.

No more Zesta for you!
okay, i've made a more detailed list of all the negatives they said in the review, this is for people who dont' want to read an entire 5 page review to see why it did so bad
-online limitations (no official rankings, permanent online names, online titles, downloadable content)
-pre match challenges too frequent (when turned on)
-faulty weight detection (turnbuckle moves and specials that start on the ground, eg victoria's black widow)
-Easy A.I.
-Lacking Roster (compared to HCTP)
-Only 1 backstage area
-No Cruiserweight, Women's or Tag Team championships
-No stat tracking in season
-Season seems to be more linear, can't travel between matches
-No alternate attires (except for John Cena and 'one legend')
-Can't customize which guys are on each show in season
-Shorter Winning animations
-Bad Commentary and Voice overs
-No progressive scan and widescreen

I kind of see why with those reasons above. The stat tracking and customizing which wrestlers on each show in season was awesome. I dont see why they didnt add that

Yeah, i'll still buy the game, but it's kinda fucked up if you compare it with HCTP.
Really hope they will do better next year...an online roster would have been cool...btw :-\

I loved lookin at the stats. And the roster changin stuff. That was what amde that game complete for me. Created 20 wrestlers and one female star so that they can have their entire own show and then have 20 top stars reign on the other show. I loved it. BUt I liked the stats even more. Tryin to keep my people undefeated and stuff. Hope they have a history like you know results of past matches and stuff even though they took away stats.
Either way Tuesday mornin I'm walkin with that game.

is this all cuz of ign's review?
you have to keep in mind that that guys an online gaming mark, which is why the score is so low, wait for gamespot's review, if thats' low too then something's wrong
