As the son of WWE Hall of Famer the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes grew up admiring his father and watching him capture the imagination of wrestling fans worldwide. Now Cody is ready to carry on his father's legacy while carving out one of his own in WWE. Cody's road to success started when he teamed with Hardcore Holly, as the two captured the World Tag Team Championship in 2007.
Besides being the son of "the son of a plumber," Cody seems like he was destined for the squared circle. He had a stellar high school wrestling career, winning major tournaments before signing a deal with Ohio Valley Wrestling, WWE's developmental territory. While training for his debut on the big stage, Cody was honored when his father asked him to help induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame. It was highly emotional night for father and son, who are extremely close.
"He and I, we're like best friends, we're really close," Cody told WWE.com at the time. "So for us to be together – if ultimately he were to say, 'I don't want anything further to do with pro wrestling,' this would be a wonderful way to cap it off."
Now, with his father watching on, Cody Rhodes is thrilled to have an opportunity in WWE and show our fans that the legacy of the Dream lives on. The second-generation Superstar has already won championship gold twice, the first time obtaining the World Tag Team Championship with partner Hardcore Holly, and the second time turning on Holly with new partner and fellow wrestling scion, Ted DiBiase, to win the title again at Night of Champions.
Along with DiBiase, Cody Rhodes represents a new generation of Superstars that have the genetics, pride and confidence to go the distance. Rhodes has made his intentions clear: to make his own name in WWE, and he doesn't want anyone holding him back. Source: WWE.com

Hardcore Holly is a man definitely deserving of his name.
Known as "The Alabama Slammer," he is as tough as they come and has been a mainstay in WWE for more than a decade. Brutalizing opponents with his gruff offensive attacks, Hardcore Holly earned his nickname during the era of the hardcore division in WWE. Even to this day, Holly still lives up to his hardcore reputation, punishing opponents with hard fists, hardcore brawling and his trademark Alabama Slam.
Channeling his anger as a tool in the ring, Holly has enjoyed great success. Just a year after his debut, Holly teamed with 1-2-3 Kid at the 1995 Royal Rumble to win a tournament for the World Tag Team Championship. Four years later, he won the World Tag Team Championship once again with Crash Holly.
He was extremely successful in the hardcore division as well, winning the Hardcore Championship six times during its active era. His toughness and no-nonsense attitude earned a slot as one of the trainers for MTV's Tough Enough 2, where he used his fists to teach several hopeful trainees about respect, hard work and paying your dues.
All of which serves to reinforce the Alabaman's grit. It's also why you don't get any respect in WWE unless you've beaten Hardcore Holly first. Source: WWE.com

I don't care about him that much, but I tend to play around with the themes a bit. Like last year(and probably this year too) I changed Takers music to his Ministry theme(Which, IMO makes his 'slow walk' a lot more bearable), as well as various others.
Basically I update the themes, or track back to a better theme.

if you're too lazy to watch it, it confirms:
-30 CAW slots for both 360/PS3
-Create a Tag team entrance as well as new tag team motions
-64 CAW layers for both systems
-same framerate (60fps) for both systems
-still unable to take CAWS with logos online, but next year that will be gone
-CAWS no longer appear in a box on the wrestler select screen and will now be fully rendered just as the in game models
-if you copy a CAW, only their model will be copied, not their attributes
-next year they will try for being able to use the Highlight Reel as a created titantron
-there will be premade Highlight Reel videos at the start of the game
-you can save up to 20 highlight reels (ones you've made yourself or ones you have downloaded from other people)
-there will be new motions for wrestlers that hold championships
-the demo will feature tag team matches
-there will be new grapples for cage/HIAC matches
-more moves have been added in this game than any other Smackdown game (around 50 to 60%)
-PS2 version does not have highlight reel or online
-there will not be trophies for the PS3 version (but promises they will be in next year)
-you will be able to turn of the glass shattering effect for finishers
-there will be a few more secret characters as well as a new unlockable match type that is unlocked in Road to Wrestlemania mode. also there will be unlockable unannounced championships in career mode
-DLC will be available shortly after the release of the game (it sounded like he slipped up because he said "i cannot confirm who...or what will be available for DLC but it's going to be really cool". so that should give us hope for wrestlers as DLC)

<font color=goldenrod>This game sounds awesome, definitely buying.
However, I'm INCREDIBLY bummed about the CAW stats not being transferable. I was gonna make a generic CAW with like 6's for everything and then copy him over whenever I wanted to make a new CAW so I would only have to play with that CAW through Career a little bit to fine tune their stats.
Now...I can't see myself making more than 3 CAWs tops since you have to spend at least an hour making the model plus it took Greg 4 hours just to get his CAW to a 69 OVR.</font> :o
Lord-Of-Darkness
10-17-2008, 04:58 PM
Why are you guys so bummed about CAW stats? Lat years game had an option in shopzone where you could buy stats for your CAW to make him an 80, then you could build from there. Who says this year won't have the same?

<font color=goldenrod>It's been confirmed that the only way to build CAW stats this year is through career mode...basically, playing exhibition matches with your CAW. and Greg Miller of IGN started off at like a 28 OVR rating and it took him 4 hours just to get it to a 69 OVR, meaning it'd prolly take like 6-7 hours to get a CAW with stats on par with the rest of the regular roster</font>
Lord-Of-Darkness
10-17-2008, 05:04 PM
Hmm, that kinda sucks. Doesn't bother me because I only ever make one primary CAW and edit it from time to time, and maybe make a couple others.
Sucks for those who do though.

He did say that the backlash over the career mode being the only way to level up every CAW was something they've seen and they were working on possibly copying CAWs with stats. No promises though.
I usually only create actual wrestlers with CAW, but I guess that's not necessary given DLC.

The Brian Kendrick is one of the more unusual and eccentric young Superstars on SmackDown.
Kendrick has been working to make it in wrestling since he enrolled in the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy in the summer of 1999.
Since Kendrick was the smallest trainee at HBK's school, he tried to catch on with a company in Mexico or Japan, where size isn't necessarily as important as it is in the U.S. He also didn't have the standout amateur background that WWE officials covet. But Shawn Michaels — himself known for overcoming the odds — saw potential. With Michaels as a teacher (and unlimited amounts of fortitude and hard work), Kendrick gained momentum.
In 2004 he put his WWE dreams on hold to hone his skills. By doing so, he ensured that when he returned to competition he would be stronger, quicker and more fierce than before.
He again began to perfect his craft by traveling all over the world. By learning the strict Japenese wrestling dojos he continued to gain more experience.
Now, Kendrick will use that same determination to distinguish himself from WWE's other high-flying Superstars.
Kendrick holds the distinction of being the first Superstar to switch brands in successive years as a result of the WWE Supplemental Draft. Source: WWE.com

When it comes to exciting, high-flying wrestlers on Raw, Paul London immediately comes to mind. Only in his 20s, London has already acheived stardom in WWE, winning the WWE Tag Team and Cruiserweight Championships since his WWE debut in October 2003.
London may be a bizarre personality, but once the bell rings, he's all business. He has impressed fans with innovative moves such as the "Dropsault" (a combination dropkick and moonsault), the "mushroom stomp" and his 450 splash. And his successful tag team combination with Brian Kendrick has only led to more innovation.
In March 2005, London won a Battle Royal on Smackdown to win the Cruiserweight Championship. Chavo Guerrero claimed London never actually defeated Chavo one-on-one, which lead to their match at Judgment Day. There, London retained his championship and successfully defended it until losing to Nunzio in August 2005.
London and Kendrick scored yet another upset victory when they defeated MNM for the sixth straight time at Judgment Day to capture the WWE Tag Team Championship. London & Kendrick would hold those titles for nearly a year before being defeated, making them the longest running WWE Tag Team Champions in history. Source: WWE.com

So, not to be an ass or anything, but since my browser won't load Youtube or similar links right now, let me just ask. How's the grappling engine look? Do they include those wrestling "classes" or whatever (Speed, Showman, Triple H)? Are the basics the same, or have they improved them?

From what I remember seeing, they've overhauled the Styles system - reading up, looks like the abilities they gave you will still be in the game, but rather than each wrestler having 2, they get up to 6 out of a pool of 20 overall abilities. Which sounds much better than the forced pigeonholing they had with the old system.

Never challenge John Bradshaw Layfield to a street fight—especially on Wall Street, or when he's offering valuable investment pointers to help bulk up your portfolio.
Our fans watching JBL every week on WWE programming think he's more "bull" than "bull market," but consider the following: He didn't clothesline his way to a senior vice-president position at a major investment bank. Analysts respect his appearances on Fox News Channel, CNN, CNNfn, MSNBC, CNBC, and C-SPAN as a financial advisor, not a "wrestling god." He didn't need a degree in Finance to line people's pockets with cash, or provide common-sense management tips in his bestselling book Have More Money Now. And "The John Bradshaw Layfield Show," a weekly radio program in which he champions his views on politics, sports, and entertainment, is now syndicated in more than 150 radio stations across America. Face it: JBL is saying something the people want to hear.
Not bad for a banker's son from Sweetwater, a Texas town that JBL claims is renown for its annual "Rattlesnake Roundup." (He still laughs at the time the Humane Society picketed the event—"We weren't cruel to the snakes. We just caught 'em and killed 'em.") Snakeskin, however, is no match for pigskin in Sweetwater; football is the town's prime pastime, and the sport that fueled two of JBL's three teenage aspirations ("playing football at Abilene Christian University, going pro, and becoming rich"). He'd earn impressive All-American honors as an offensive tackle at Abilene, though lingering knee problems would limit his second dream to less than a year with the NFL's then-Los Angeles Raiders, and two seasons as part of the World League's San Antonio Riders.
JBL was down to a 1980 Chevrolet step-side pickup truck and $27 in his bank account when he invested his energies toward a career in wrestling—and not opponents like the eight-foot, 800-pound brown bear he faced at a local cowboy bar on a college dare. More important, he realized that he needed to wrest control of his financial future; as he states in his book, "I decided that being poor ain't fun, and staying that way is stupid."
Getting physical in the ring has netted JBL a career wealth of championships, while his "fiscal" approach to the stock market has made him a very bankable resource in shareholders' eyes. Perhaps the one drawback from his economic success is that it affords him the luxury of saying whatever's on his mind—mainly because he can put his money where his mouth is. And since his return to in-ring competition in early 2008, JBL has also put his boot where his opponents' mouths are.Source: WWE.com

If you ask self-proclaimed chick magnet The Miz, all the ladies want him and all the guys want to be him. And, quite frankly, it's hard to argue otherwise.
A devoted WWE fan his whole life, Mike "The Miz" Mizanin competed on the fourth season of "Tough Enough" in hopes of winning a contract to become a WWE Superstar. After finishing as the runner up, The Miz didn't give up on his dream and continued to train once the "Tough Enough" competition ended. Now, his hard work is being rewarded as the reality TV alum with the frat boy looks, sophomoric humor and explosive intensity is living out his dream as a Superstar on ECW.
The Miz was first introduced to TV audiences as one of the seven strangers on "The Real World: Back to New York," the 10th season of MTV's popular and groundbreaking reality show. Since then, The Miz has certainly made his rounds on the reality TV circuit. He's been on four seasons of the "Real World/Road Rules Challenge," "The Inferno," "The Gauntlet," "Battle of the Network Reality Stars," and recently as a competitor on a special edition of "Fear Factor."
Alongside John Morrison, The Miz won the WWE Tag Team Championship, defeating Montel Vontavious Porter & Matt Hardy on SmackDown. Since, the duo has dominated WWE's tag team division. Source: WWE.com

John Morrison endured a personal evolution of sorts after capturing the vacated ECW Championship at Vengeance: Night of Champions. The Tuesday Night Delight, formerly known as Johnny Nitro, officially renamed himself John Morrison, his given birth name, on the historic July 17, 2007, edition of ECW. Morrison had reached the peak of his fame with the ECW Championship and he believed he could "be himself" from that point, forward.
Shortly thereafter, Morrison found unexpected success alongside another brazen, rising star in the Land of the Extreme, The Miz. The unlikely tandem secured the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown territory following the unique talent exchange arrangement between SmackDown and ECW managing officials. The Shaman of Sexy's vanity reached new heights, much like his sports-entertainment career.
And Morrison has good reason to be confident. He has never been too far away from gold since his debut in 2005, capturing tag team gold as well as the Intercontinental Championship. The Shaman of Sexy was ultimately drafted to ECW during the 2007 Supplemental Draft on WWE.com, and his career was given new life. As the world can now see, Morrison has taken full advantage of his extreme home, and ECW may never be the same.

When it comes to Jesse & Festus, looks may be deceiving; however, WWE Superstars might be wise not to mess with these country boys.
Jesse, along with his partner and big buddy Festus, has finally made his way to SmackDown. In the weeks leading up to their debut, the pair introduced themselves by giving their opinions on a variety of subjects – from fame to fashion to WWE Magazine. Actually, it was Jesse giving their opinions, as Festus stared off in the distance with a blank look.
But don't let Jesse's country-bumpkin airs or Festus' looks fool you. As Michael Cole noted the night of their debut, Jesse has quite the amateur athletic background. And just as Jesse promised our fans about his big buddy, Festus is all business once the bell rings. Both men showed off those traits during their in-ring debut on the Oct. 5 Friday Night SmackDown, leading to their first WWE victory.
Together, Jesse & Festus would love nothing more than to make a major impact inside a WWE ring. With Jesse's amateur ability and Festus' sheer power, there's no telling what these two country boys can do. Source: WWE.com

In the weeks leading up to their debut, the pair introduced themselves by giving their opinions on a variety of subjects – from fame to fashion to WWE Magazine. Actually, it was Jesse giving their opinions, as Festus stared off in the distance with a blank look.
But don't let that look fool you, because that…that is the face of a man who looks like a wrecking machine inside the squared circle. Jesse promised our fans that from bell to bell, Festus is all business – and the big man delivers on that promise. When they made their in-ring debut on the Oct. 5 Friday Night SmackDown, Festus literally transformed into a new man the moment the bell rang; once it rang again to signify the end of their debut victory, however, the placid, vacant look returned to his big, burly country mug.
Inside the ring, Festus' transformation is bad news for his opponents, and one can only wonder what the situation would be like if encountering the country boy in an elevator.

Hey--
Two things:
1) Today, you're getting two Countdown profiles. They're not a tag team. Be on the look out for both.
2) The THQ crew is in Japan, so they can't do a THQ&A tomorrow. So, I'll do a Friday Fight in addition to the two Insider matches. However, I don't feel like putting up polls. Reply to this post with the match you want to see. When I'm ready to capture, I'll browse the first two pages of responses and choose the bout I want to play.

She's bubbly, she's beautiful and she's an object of desire for many men. She's Maria, and she's darn proud to call herself a WWE Diva. While many may think she's ditzy or absent-minded, there's one thing that's well-known: she's hot.
But hey, she wouldn't have it any other way. Maria has won many beauty pageants in her time, but she's not just all beauty. From kickboxing to sewing to dancing to working on cars, Maria's areas of expertise make her one of the best-rounded Divas in WWE.
After years of entering beauty pageants and an education at Northern Illinois University, the Ottawa, Ill., native struck it big by nearly making it to the end of the 2004 Diva Search. While she didn't win, our fans felt an immediate connection to her, and she quickly made her way to Raw as a backstage interviewer who wasn't afraid to ask any question, from the hard-hitting to the quirkily obvious. And of course, she looks great doing it, perhaps no more so than when Eugene doused her with chocolate milk after winning the World Tag Team Championship that year.
Since her debut in WWE, however, Maria's role has expanded by leaps and bounds. At first, she was tentative to step into the ring, but to this day she continues to learn the ropes and develop into an exciting and skilled performer. She also can be seen (or read, as it may be) lending her auto expertise to our fans in her very own WWE Magazine column every month. Another magazine our fans might be interested in perusing is the April 2008 issue of Playboy, in which Maria showed our fans what's under her hood, namely a racy chassis and va-va-voom curves.
If there's one other thing for sure about Maria, though, it's that while she radiates beauty, the girl her friends call "Boop" won't stop honing her craft until she wears the Women's gold around her waist. So watch out all you stars and studs in the locker room, because you never know when you're going to get your dose of Maria. Source: WWE.com

Our fans first saw Michelle McCool during 2004's Diva Search. Seeing a mix of beauty and love for WWE, she was brought to SmackDown. But there's so much more behind the beautiful face; there is strength, determination and inspiration.
Before coming to SmackDown, Michelle was a teacher in Florida — but her love for the business started well before that. Both her pappap (grandfather) and dad loved WWE, and brought Michelle along to a live event when she was 6. A little of the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes later, she was hooked.
With her motto "Faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within," McCool continues to inspire our fans with her words and strength. Source: WWE.com

Been playing the ps3 demo, seems to load up pretty quick, no load screens between individual entrances which is nice. Game seems a bit more fluid this time around, noticed a few new animations, new camera angles when you're fighting outside the ring, its like the camera guy is crouched down beside the barrier. If you're outside the ring to around the 7-8 count the referee starts telling you to get back in the ring and dishes out warnings.
One odd thing i noticed was triple h was announced as wwe champion but didn't have the belt on.
Swanton looks good, the twist of fate is pretty weird, in game hes doing it the way he was for a little while with them landing back down instead of face down. Havn't been able to do whisper in the wind yet.

For whatever reason parts of the wrestlers entrances are still missing, the titantrons are obviously there but the large screen under that just displays the raw logo all the time. On wwe programming for instance michaels entrance that screen shows people with their hands in the air, more or less the same thing with them always missing the minitrons on the 2 side walls and the video screen at the entrance way in earlier games.
Then theres the screen thats above the titantron that says "save me" when jericho enters, near sure that has some form of video that plays as well but in the game (if its there) i think it just says raw or smackdown or whatever. Never really sure why that happens, im assuming disc space on the 360 might be an issue but i really cant see a wrestling game taking up the full 8.5 gigs.

Simply put, Jeff Hardy is an artist. His world revolves around writing "emoetry," recording music ("alternative, alternative music," according to his brother Matt), and employing tinfoil and paint to craft intimate, personal, and sometimes bizarre works of art. His house is decorated with toys, artificial plants and life-size Japanese fiberglass sculptures. One of his most cherished creations—a thirty-foot "Aluminummy" statue called Neroameee, from Nero, his middle name—stands tall outside his studio.
Still, this artist has always been drawn to another, very different canvas—that of the squared circle. Growing up with Matt in the pinewoods of Cameron, North Carolina, 11-year-old Jeff—influenced by the likes of Ric Flair, the Fabulous Freebirds, and the Rockers—took a ramp he built for his bike and painted it to resemble an entrance stage for his "wrestling ring," the backyard trampoline. As he grew older, so did his desire to take greater risks, whether it was to feel the rush of executing hundred-foot-high triples on his motorcross bike, or jumping off the roof of his house as a member of the brothers' "Teenage Wrestling Federation." It was such fearlessness and desire that would bring the 16-year-old daredevil to World Wrestling Entertainment, and after several years catapult him to worldwide fame and main-event status, first as one-half of WWE's high-flying "Team Extreme," The Hardys, then in singles competition.
Though many of his paintings are abstract, this free spirit is a Rembrandt inside the ring, signing his name not with the traditional paintbrush or pen, but with wildly unorthodox, high-impact maneuvers off top ropes and 20-foot ladders. His credo is simple: to create, then surpass his creation.
Unfortunately, most true artists must sink to their lowest point before attaining their greatest heights. For Jeff, the wear-and-tear of living life on the road would help prompt him to leave WWE in 2003. But after a three-year personal journey of refocusing his passion and energies, he now finds himself "in a positive place…and that's what motivates me." Since returning to WWE in August 2006, this reinspired risk-taker has gone back to creating the art he loves most—entertaining WWE fans in arenas around the world. And his most extreme masterpiece awaits. Source: WWE.com

In the ring, Matt Hardy lives his motto: "I will not die." Time and time again he has sacrificed his body for both the enjoyment of the fans, and the sport which he has loved so dearly for his entire life.
Matt came to the WWE in 1998 as a tag team specialist, teaming up with his brother Jeff to form the appropriately named The Hardys. While severely undersized, The Hardy's outstanding chemistry and unmatched heart carried them to stardom. The Hardys went on to become five-time World Tag Team Champions in WWE before breaking up in 2002.
In 2003, shortly after joining the SmackDown roster, Matt Hardy pursued the Cruiserweight Championship. After struggling for weeks to make the weight limit, Hardy defeated Kidman for the Championship at No Way Out '03.
After he won the title, Hardy endured an up and down rivalry with Rey Mysterio. Hardy got the best of Rey Mysterio in a controversial Championship match at WrestleMania 19. A month later however, Mysterio got his revenge, defeating Hardy for the Cruiserweight Championship on SmackDown. Source: WWE.com

Gaming Ring had some more time to check out Road to Wrestlemania over the past week and there defintely is some interesting developments.
By looking in the eyes of Randy Orton. Are you looking at the blue eyed killer who is capable of doing anything to play the ultimate mind game.
Is Batista and Rey Mysterio destined for greatness or is there dissention on the horizon.
No one should question John Cenas commitment and loyalty to his country. Maybe MVP will find out personally.
When in betterthanyoutopia you do as betterthanyoutopians do. Does that include stacking the deck against your opponent. Maybe?
What do you do when 2 of the most infamous factions are gunning for your services. Why Its time to play the game of course.
You know the other day I was thinking back about WCW. Do you ever miss the good old days when WCW superstars fought for the world championship belt? Nah neither do I.
Last time please notice I specifically mention 2 unlockable characters not superstars. Read into that as you will. There are superstars to be had in the RTW mode.

Sports-entertainment has seen its share of immortals. There have been icons, some Great Ones, a few Olympians and a whole lot of legends. But there has only been one Showstopper, and he is Shawn Michaels.
In an industry where the hyperbole is the norm, there may not be enough ways to describe HBK. He is truly incomparable. Michaels has made a career of stealing the show – competing in matches that are talked about for years. His rivalries over a career spanning more than 20 years are truly the stuff of legends.
Michaels first started revolutionizing the sport during his partnership with Marty Jannetty as The Rockers. Their wars with "Playboy" Buddy Rose & Doug Sommers in the AWA and then the subsequent rivalries with The Hart Foundation and The Brain Busters in WWE changed the face of tag team wrestling and captured the imagination of our fans. Arguably, Michaels could have gone down as one of the greats if he had chosen to stay primarily in tag team competition. But HBK knew he could become an all-time great. One superkick to Jannetty during Brutus Beefcake's Barber Shop closed the door on a popular partnership and opened another to Michaels' legend.
HBK's career can't be just measured in titles, even though his trophy case is spilling over. He was WWE's first-ever Grand slam Champion, holding the European Championship, World Tag Team Championship, the Intercontinental Title and WWE Championship. He, along with Triple H, co-founded one of the greatest factions of all time, D-Generation X, whose popularity and anti-establishment philosophy continue to capture the imagination of our fans today. Good. I've been adding it to his entrance the last 2 years, now I don't have to. I'm a firm believer that when doing a virtual wrestler's intro - keep it accurate and keep the best elements intact (sadly you never know if it would be the wrestlers final in-game model alive). This is why I hated Orton not having his sparks at the ramp, even if he didn't have them anymore for real. That could've been a cost decision that a game didn't have to suffer from.

Burke is a natural athlete and skilled fighter, and though he talks a big game, his extraordinary background speaks for itself. With an amateur boxing record of 103-1 (102 knockouts), Burke is a deadly, stand-up striker with fast, heavy-hitting hands.
Elijah Burke arrived in WWE in July 2006 on SmackDown. In his debut match, Burke used a barrage of quick hits and weakening holds to earn arguably the first of certainly many victories in his WWE career. Toting his ruthless signature move, The Elijah Express, Burke brought his domination to ECW in November to wreak havoc on the other ECW Superstars.
The self-proclaimed "Paragon of Virtue" formed the New Breed (with Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker and originally, Kevin Thorn) in early 2007 and waged war against Originals Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu and Sandman over control of ECW. CM Punk earned Burke's wrath when he infiltrated and tried to destroy the New Breed from within, and the two have had a heated rivalry ever since.
But the real object of Burke's desire is the ECW World Title, and he believes he is destined to wear the gold someday. And he is determined not to let anyone - especially a certain Straightedge Superstar - stand in his way. Source: WWE.com

Also from the EuroGamer Expo...
Downloadable Superstars are CONFIRMED. - They will be treated as a special class of wrestlers in Create Modes (Superstar - Downloaded Superstar - Created Superstar)
The locked match type is some form of Handicap Match. It's under that sub-heading in the match selection menu. It could be some sort of Gauntlet, maybe the return of SLOBBERKNOCKER!

Give the bodacious loudmouth Mr. Kennedy credit: He sure knows how to make an entrance. And he sure as hell won't let anyone outtalk him – ask any poor soul who has been on the receiving end of a verbal drubbing by the Green Bay, Wis., native since he burst onto the WWE scene in 2005.
No one else in WWE, before or since, has made his own ring introductions. Hell, if no one else can do it right, you might as well do it yourself. But with Mr. Kennedy, there's always been the impression that he likes to hear himself talk … loudly.
Still, Kennedy is more than just talk – he knows how to dish it out in the ring. He can talk smack and give it back at the same time. Kennedy has billed himself as the "future of WWE."
Those are quite bold statements, but Kennedy's record speaks for itself. The laundry list of former World Champions and future Hall of Famers he has defeated reads like a Who's Who of the elite in WWE. Kane, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Batista and Shawn Michaels, among others, have all tasted defeat at the hands of Mr. Kennedy. Though he has held the United States Championship and is a former Mr. Money in the Bank winner, Kennedy will not be content until he is a World Champion. Only then will he shut up … then again, maybe not.
So what fuels Mr. Kennedy's desire? Maybe it is his huge ego; maybe it's greed. Maybe it's his memories of growing up in the frozen tundra of Green Bay, watching legends such as Hulk Hogan, Randy "Macho Man" Savage and later, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. His toughness was forged by a stint in the U.S. Army and battling before hundreds – not thousands, hundreds – of onlookers in dirty rings while on the independent wrestling circuit before hitting the big time in WWE. If nothing else, Mr. Kennedy is a survivor who is living his dream.
Mr. Kennedy was drafted to SmackDown in the WWE Draft, where he hopes to continue the hot streak he has been on in 2008. Source: WWE.com

Randy Orton doesn't have many interests. Other than listening to Metallica or Pantera and watching the occasional movie, wrestling is his life…or, as he would tell you, his destiny.
It's easy to understand why. His father is WWE Hall of Famer "Cowboy" Bob Orton, his uncle Barry "Barry O" Orton, and his grandfather "The Big O," the late Bob Orton, Sr. Most kids remember their first ball game or school play; Randy's childhood memories include sitting in the kitchen of his family's St. Louis home with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, and repairing a broken banister leaned on by Andre the Giant. He wasn't even five years old when he watched his father knock out "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff in the main event at the inaugural WrestleMania, but he already knew he wanted to be a WWE Superstar.
Randy's parents tried dissuading him; his father even warned that life in the ring meant a life on the road, away from family. Yet Randy, seeing how his friends perceived his world-traveling dad in "a different light," recalls only thinking the prospect was "quite appealing, and something I wanted to do."
Still, he agreed to try other avenues first. After graduating Hazelwood Central High School in 1998 (where he was an accomplished amateur wrestler), Orton enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. His plan was to serve a four-year tour of duty, then focus on a wrestling career; his reality was a dishonorable discharge one year later, due to unauthorized absences on two occasions (one for 82 days) and for disobeying a superior officer's direct order. After spending 38 days in the brig of Camp Pendleton Base, he would resume his civilian life…and to pursuing his destiny.
Back home in St. Louis, Orton accompanied his father backstage at a local WWE live event in late 1999. He left the show with an opportunity to try out in Stamford, which soon resulted in a developmental deal to train at Ohio Valley Wrestling. Orton quickly rose through OVW's ranks, and in April 2002, he officially made his WWE debut as a member of SmackDown. The third-generation Superstar had at last fulfilled his dream, though a long-standing rivalry with Mick Foley (and a brutal Hardcore Match at Backlash in 2004 that Orton remembers as one of his greatest contests) provided him with a new purpose:
What better way to make himself a WWE legend…than to destroy the legends before him? Since then, many WWE legends have fallen to Randy Orton. And many more will follow. It's his destiny. Source: WWE.com
