I mean your supposed to be some of the best fans in the league and then you go and do stupid shit like that. Every person who is throwing a baseball or a bottle at that game, saw the replay, and whether your a Yankee fan or not, you know deep down in your heart that ARod did that shit on purpose.

That wasn't neccessarily a bad play, he was out if he didn't do anything, this way there was a chance the umps fuck up, Yankee luck occurs, and Jeter scores, which almost happened tonight.

It was miscommunication on the Red Sox side, and A-Rod almost made more out of it, albeit by cheating, but he didn't lose much by trying it. Jeter still on first instead of second, yawn.

I don't really follow baseball as I prefer Hockey and Football but this game was a funny.

National Anthem after the 7th inning was ridiculous. Have they done this before? I don't see the point of having some fat guy come out on to the field and sing "God bless America" for no apparent reason other that the ending of the 7th inning?

Rodriguez(sp) ball swipe was decent, but the pitcher was out of place clearly, he was nervous... should of thrown to first base, but it worked out for the Sox.

Swat team getting sent out was a good opportunity for some nice front row seats, they had nothing better to do, I don't see why they can't be out there.

Boston deserved it, because I always enjoy it when games go into a the 7th game.

Sox site says Lowe v. Brown tonight...

I'd expect every team to pull everyone out...

I wouldn't be shocked to see Pedro or Moose out of the pen if needed.

Stima - It's Mike Myers, not Greg (hence when he pitches at fenway they play Austin Powers out of the pen and then Halloween when he hits the mound).

Great game... Ya know... I can't get all over the Yanks fans for throwing balls... in 1999, at Fenway, there were 2 horrible calls at 2nd base... One was a force out, when the yankee 2b (forgot who) never had the ball in his glove for more then 1/2 a second, the other was a tag, that missed by 3+ feet and the sox player was still called out. Jimmy Williams argued and got ejected and the Sox fans litered the field.

This lead to stienbrenner making comments about how the fans reaction was all Jimmy Williams fault and lead to JW famous line of "When Georgie porgie speaks, I don't listen".

As for riot gear, they did that to protect the field, incase the Yanks won... to try and keep 55K idiots from running all over the field and ruining the place before the WS.

You think if the Sox win tonight, and can a chance to win the WS in game #6 or #7 they won't be on fenway in riot gear? Hell, they'll be all over from Cleveland Circle, Beacon St, Comm Ave, Kenmore, Symphony hall... riot police all fricken over... They learned there lesson last time the Pats won, and this would be nuts.

Anyway, game #7, like it should be...

Glad to see those umps get the right calls... Matsui also helped the way he reacted... most players would have gone full speed and played it like it hit the wall hoping to confuse the umps... but he played it like a HR.

Wow, just WOW. Last night I went from feeling like I've been told that I just won the lotto to the lotto guys calling me back 2 minutes later and saying, "Actually, we got it wrong, your next door neighbor actually won the lotto."

I don't know. When did all this umpires gathering together start happening? Like I know it was the right call with both plays, but you're seriously going to give me a heart attack if you keep changing the fuckin calls like that. If you're going to do that, then fuckin get an instant replay rule or something. LOL at A-ROD though. If he got away with that, I could just see all the Yankee Haters just screaming at thier TV's.

When Tony Clark came up in the 9th, I swear I thought he was hitting one out. Like I saw the whole play in my head, heard the call by the announcers, saw the fans going nuts, saw myself going nuts. Weird. But he did what he's been doing and that's sucking.

Tony Clark, nice to see him play how he did for the Sox last year.... Good defense but can't hit.

As for the A-rod play, I don't blame him at all... as a NFL lineman would tell you "It's only holding if they catch you"

Honestly, I think he could have done it a little more subtle and possible got away w/ it...

As for the confrences, thats gone on a few years.... It's not the same as instant replay, where you look at TV and different angles. All they do and the home plate ump has to call it, is ask if anyone had a better view and saw something different.

Can't wait for tonight.

No, they did the right thing, if someone else had a better angle, they should over ride the call.

Torre should start Lofton instead of Sierra

I think if Lofton's on the LCS roster, he's on the bench incase of injury or pinch runner... he's still got speed for an old goat and can play all 3 OF positiions.

Kinda like how Francona didn't want to bring in Mirabelli for Teck when they brought in Wake, cause if something happened to Mirabelli at that point the only person left was Pokey to play catcher. (more likely, Mancavietz move to catcher, pokey to SS and bellhorn to 1st that night.)

That guy in the outfield last night was hilarious, Bellhorns HR hit him right off the chest lol

Yea I thought Clark was going to hit one out last night, I was like if this guy beats us I will go nuts. Maybe shit is changing, that would have been typical Red Sox right there, hopefully they win tonight. I am sick of shit being "typical" Red Sox, its time for a change...Why not now?

And about the fans calling in to complain, yea its pretty stupid since it happened at Fenway in '99. I bet back in 99 tho NY fans were calling in and ripping into Boston Fans. Its just the "haters cycle" you all know how that goes lol

Just saw this in an away message:

Think the Sox can never win the World Series? You never thought the Pats could win the Superbowl either. You never thought a kid from French Lick could revolutionize the forward position. You never thought a defenseman could lead the league in scoring. You never thought the Sox, with Jim Rice injured for the playoffs, could make it all the way to game 7 against the big Red Machine. THEN, Vinatieri Split the Uprights, Larry Bird became a threetime MVP, Bobby Orr defined the way defensemen play and Pudge Willed it fair. You never think its possible, that's why you're not a Bostonian. So go watch your Knicks games, and drool over your millionaire Yankees, while reminiscing over the pathetic Jets' inconsistency, and call me in November

I was saying earlier in the year that this wasn't the Cubs year to win it, and that if they did it wouldn't be as good as it could be. In the same way, this is absolutely Bostons year to do it. After last year, practically the whole country is behind them, they made some real good transactions, and they paid off. Now add to that, they are going to come back from 0-3 to beat the Yankee's in Yankee Stadium, something nobody in MLB or NBA has ever done. They played their cards perfectly, got support of everybody, were huge underdogs, and now are going to do it. This is textbook if the BoSox win the World Series. If it were the Cubs it would just be like "meh, they were shitty this year and aren't playing well even after adding everybody. Meh"
