In all seriousness, there becomes a point in the future where replicating the PS3 is trivial. It's just not now. Also they're still producing PS3s. Also life is precious and your possessions end up owning you.

The one thing I hate about this generation is games that are tied to one account with online passes etc. You can't take a game round to a friends house like we all did as kids, without having to re-download stuff on their console using your user account.

I understand why they do it, but it's lame.

An online pass is a few Kb. Downloading something like that should be the least of your concerns.

Yeah moving accounts around, at least for XBL, got smoothed out and it isn't the problem it was before.

The worst thing about this Gen is the over use of DLC. Especially if its already on disc.

Well do people think Hollywood isn't doing enough to shield kids from R movies while not knowing about the rating system and even still letting their kids watch whatever they wanted? That would be similar.

According to Sony they haven't finished designing the PS4 yet which is why it wasn't shown during last week's debut show. They are still undecided on some of the smaller specs and physical features of the console.

Even the controller took a while to finalize with the boss of Sony saying it was only ready to be presentable a day before the show.

Finally they are considering a tier or subscription-based system with the PS4 although as of now its only considered as a "dream" and wouldn't be ready when the PS4 launches.

There's a lot of coverage on the Ps3 so I may have missed it, but they're saying games purchased online are going to be 50 GB.

...I don't think they thought this through.

Even still, much of the Western world has to contend with bandwidth caps. I don't know about Japan or Asia, but North America and at least to some extent Europe has to contend with this. And the US is one of their meat and potato markets.

Turns out there actually is a "block used games" option possible on the PS4 although Sony states it is up to publishers to enable the option for their games. Sony themselves have said they will not use this option for their games.

I don't get why they want to stamp out the used games trade. I thought they combated that by removing content from the base game and including it as a DLC code in the box, or bought on the network if you have a used copy for extra moneys.

If they do go after it, the main reason is because of profit. When someone buys a used title, only the retailer profits.

It sucks that this is the way things appear to be going, but with the rising cost of creating new games I can see why they are doing it.

What I wanna see is more integration of game exclusive apps like Battlefield and Halo hubs in the game. Keep the website and mobile app versions, but put them in the game as well. Special community destinations for stat tracking and such are on the rise so I want that easier to get to.

This is the generation of no excuses for me. More than ever I don't wanna hear what can't be done due to 'technical limitations'. That shit let companies off on player counts, framerates, multiplayer, and many other things this generation. Fuck that.

I'd love to see more persistent world games on next gen anyway. More MMOs and stuff like DayZ and Destiny.

According to UStream, they are not in an exclusive agreement with Sony for just the PS4 and states their goal is to provide the same type of service and features to both current and next gen consoles.

Unless Microsoft states the next Xbox can provide the same service on launch day, most likely the PS4 gets the service first while UStream works on being available for other platforms.
