The Browns are retarded.
Because they keep going after "high value", great white hype quarterbacks that they don't have nearly as much faith in as they pretend to have just to watch them get injured behind a garbage line they never seem to build up? Or a running game? Or WR targets besides the one guy they lucked into? And then, throw said QB under the bus and away when the new sexy emerges from college? And repeat that cycle over again?
You're talking out your ass! That's sound business strategy right there!

Jags signed Mohamed Massaquoi to a two year deal. Well, I guess we know who will be the slot receiver behind Blackmon and Shorts III now. I suppose it is an upgrade from Laurent Robinson.

Hey now! The best four years of my life were in NOLA. Show some respect. Tulane Green Wave in the fucking building.
As a Georgia boy, I just couldn't turn on my Birds. I learned to love the city, hate the team. Kind of like a wife with mother in law you wish would fuck off and die. I'm debating getting tickets myself. I'm not a big wrasslin fan anymore, but the opportunity to see it in 'Nawlins is very intriguing.

Pats signed Emmanuel Sanders to a 1 year deal although it won't be official for another 5 days in order to allow the Steelers to match it or not. If the Steelers refuse, they'd get a 3rd round pick from the Pats as compensation.
Pats also resigned Julian Edelman to a 1 year deal.

Ravens close to signing Rolando McClain..another decent signing. if it's cheap

04-10-2013, 09:55 PM
I like the move for McClain, especially since there was a rumor of them getting Urlacher.
Droford
04-10-2013, 10:16 PM
I would rather they stay away from urlacher, think hes done
McClain was 1 year $700,000. Id think he either does well and makes a boatload of money somewhere else or he does poorly and ends up in the CFL, UFL or something like that.
He had 99 tackles and 5 sacks in 2011. Only 23 years old....

Congrats! NOLA finally won a Super Bowl, but quit acting like the 2009 season is where football ended and nothing else after that is relevant. The Saints are a different team now other than Brees and (the returning) Sean Payton. They are a good football team, but they aren't the GODS OF FOOTBALL you act like they are. Based off last year, the Saints have more to prove than almost any other team in the league because of how far they fell when faced with a little adversity.

Authur Jones in car accident
Baltimore Ravens defensive end Arthur Jones was in an appreciative mood Monday morning. Jones' car ended up in a ditch after spiraling out of control upon taking a hit from another vehicle that had swerved into his lane.
"Thank you lord for saving my life today. He has a plan for me. And I guess today wasn't the day to die," Jones tweeted. "Not worried about the car. It can be replaced. I'm just happy I'm still breathing. Sooo grateful."
Fortunate that oncoming traffic was clear, Jones escaped the harrowing accident unscathed. He even participated in voluntary offseason conditioning with Ravens teammates on Monday.
"Arthur is doing great," agent Joe Panos told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Through Panos, Jones said, "I'm happy, I'm healthy, and I'm blessed."
Jones is also expecting a new baby within the week, leaving him feeling especially fortunate to survive. Now he's providing a useful reminder to live life to the fullest because the future is promised to no one.

Steelers ended up matching the Pats offer for Emmanuel Sanders so they are keeping him while the Pats are keeping their third round pick.

The Atlanta Falcons are pushing the pause button on contract negotiations with Matt Ryan.
The quarterback is entering the final year of his deal and due $12 million in 2013. The Falcons don't want a Joe Flacco situation with Ryan playing without an extension reached. But it's time to focus on the draft, general manager Thomas Dimitroff told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's D. Orlando Ledbetter.
"The situation is, as we've mentioned, both parties, we're in a very comfortable situation," Dimitroff said. "We are focused on the draft again. After the draft we'll continue to discuss (Ryan's contract) and I'm sure both parties, Matt and the Falcons are feeling good about making sure that this gets done at the right time."
The organization has been cutting salary this offseason in anticipation of a mega-deal for Ryan. He's started from day one, was named the 2008 offensive rookie of the year, led the team to the NFC championship last year and the Falcons haven't had a losing season since Ryan was drafted.
The deal is expected to surpass Flacco's $120.6 million contract.
"There is no time frame on it right now and I don't want to keep you hanging on it, but I feel confident things are going to be taken care of when the time is proper," Dimitroff said.
Like Flacco, it's not a matter of if - just when and how much.

The Green Bay Packers had the No. 1 scoring offense in the league in 2011, the No. 32 total defense and were bounced from the playoffs in the divisional round. General manager Ted Thompson went out and drafted defense with the first six picks of the 2012 draft.
The New Orleans Saints could be in a similar position. The Saints ranked No. 3 in scoring offense, No. 31 in scoring defense and No. 32 in total defense last season. They missed the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
The need is clear.
"Certainly we're looking closely at our defense, and that would be a priority," coach Sean Payton said on WWL radio in New Orleans, via SportsRadioInterviews.com. "I would say this: When you start getting into that selection and you see magnets both offensively and defensively that are close to each other on the grade line, it's easy then - if you feel real close about the players - to go with one side of the ball or the other."
The Saints are switching to a 3-4 scheme under new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and need help at virtually every position. There's an emphasis on the front seven and a pass rushing linebacker is probably the top priority.
But there's danger in drafting for need only.
"The challenge is when you see the magnet that sits up there much higher than the defensive player," Payton said, "for instance, and then are you just strictly trying to draft a need player as opposed to maybe the best available player. And I think the key is just, what's the gap?
"And so when a player falls or you feel like you have a real high grade on a player, you have to pay attention to that."
The Saints have an offense built to win now. Those offensive prospects better rank much higher if the Saints pass on a quality defender. Ryan needs pieces now, not in 2014 or 2015. Drew Brees, 34, isn't getting any younger and the organization can't afford to waste a season while the defense rebuilds.

RG3 in trademark dispute with, well, RG3
Posted by Mike Florio on April 20, 2013, 9:27 AM EDT
The hottest brand in the NFL has a bit of a problem. Robert Griffin III (better known as RG3 or RGIII) was preceded by Research Group 3 (also known as RG3), a company that makes motorcycle suspension parts.
According to the Washington Post, Griffin and the company are trying to negotiate a “coexistence agreement,” which would allow both to use RG3.
Likelihood of consumer confusion becomes the legal standard in cases like this, and we can’t imagine anyone mixing up the two brands. Unless Griffin starts endorsing motorcycle suspension parts or RG3 comes out with a football-themed product line.
Regardless of how it works out, the situation provides even more proof that Griffin has quickly become a major phenomenon, both in NFL circles and beyond.

$96 million for Revis.
Jets meanwhile are taking a $12 million dead cap hit for Revis this year. Keeping him would have cost $9 million. Pretty clear the Jets view 2013 as a lost cause.

“The organization is not committed to winning,” a source close to Revis told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News in the aftermath of the trade that sends Revis to Tampa Bay.

Depending on what they do with the two 1st Round picks (#9 & #13), they could end up winning the trade deal in the long run.
Then again this is the same team that once drafted a player solely to prevent the Pats from having him. End result was that player (Gholston) became a big bust for them while the Pats "plan B" pick (Mayo) ended up becoming a cornerstone of their young defense.

exactly
if it's big enough news it's gonna be everywhere
personally i prefer copy/pasting the whole article as opposed to just posting links and most sites have so many pics, gifs, and ads its easier to just copy the bulk of the article then doing it in sections to avoid the stupid pics

Revis in a Bucs jersey is odd, but for the Jets that's the right move. Rebuilding is tough but necessary for this team.
