I will steal a few Harriers with countermessures saved, sneek in, jump over the walls over the S.A.M. sites and plant C4 on them, then when I am about to take off (or before I even jump the fence) I will blow them up so I don't need to use the countermessures while taking off

also I had a San Andreas Dream last night :$

I was playing the game with my cousins by my side, I passed one of the truths missions (The farm mission), I gave the controller to my Cousin and he wanted to start a new game, the cut scene happened, CJ got home but instead of meeting Smoke CJ started in front of the Save icon facing the door. to the left was another room with a Computer in it and the floor boarded up with planks of wood and stuff, anyway He shot through the wood all the way around, he went to get a glass of coke and a ghost shape zoomed out of the hole, it was a ghost with hands out to the side like the classic "BOO!", then after a bit another ghost, but this one had a guy as it zoomed and a ghost knife which cut his throat and the blood floated around as a ghost-like substance aswell it was cool, then after another few seconds another ghost shape zoomed out of the hole, I forget what it was but it got a "oooh cool" from the three of us. Then after we saw that a 4th ghost took us to a park where we saw a 5th ghost of some grove street guys who got murdered by ballas with chainsaws (looked awesome I am very pleased with my mind for the graphics on this one :D).

Yeah, I think I've been playing it way to much :D :$

awesome dream

Vertical Bird took me 3 tries (I got through the military guys on the ship easily each time, it was just a matter of me learning how to fly the plane and not crash it). Once I figured it out it was mad easy.

Then I got back into the Hydra afterwards, thrusted forward, went ALL the way up to my maximum elevation, and then bailed once I was over my mansion and parachuted onto the helipad. I was so high up it even took my aircreft a good 20 or so seconds before it hit the ground (and I was so high when it finally hit that I didn't even hear anything).

I have planted about 30 (the max I think) Remote Charges inside a Police station, but I didn't see much of the explosion because of the walls blocking the enterance to the rest of the station... but still good for the reason behind doing so... to get back at the man.

You guys that have beaten Supply Lines, did you use L2 R2, the stick, or both, and how did you maintain the plane behind the targets?

I used the stick since it seems a lot easier IMO. Just practice with the bigger airplanes and you'll do better. One thing that actually helps is to go slow when your close to your target since you'll end up zooming past them if you don't and turning around eats up precious time.

el fregadero
11-22-2004, 10:59 PM
I used the stick, too, unless I really messed up and was about to hit something when I would start using L2/R2 and the stick to make sure I didn't crash.

Ok more clarification, since I just spent 3 hours and didn't complete it....does the use of X really affect fuel usage. It seems like I just can't even get close. I've only gotten all 5 twice, and was still 3 blocks off fuel wise. I read somewhere that fuel still depletes if you sit there, so are you supposed to glide for less usage?

Supply Lines was by far the hardest mission in the game

Fuel usage is just on a basic timer, nothing to do with acceleration. Basically you just have to control the plane and it's speed so that you shoot the guy and explode him in one swoop, if you find yourself taking too long then just restart. Sometimes you will get shot too, so try to kill them before they kill you.

For the first territory you take over do it in the alleyway near the expressway so you only have 2 worry about 2 directions and for the 2nd territory do it in the backyards just to the west of that alleyway

Also, haven't paid any attention to the thread and I don't feell ike looking back a few pages to see if it's been asked, so...

Is there a way to like, "transport" vehicles? Like I want to export all the cars and whatnot, and say if I'm in Venturas and I find a car I need to export, is there like a plane or something I can drive the car into, to fly it over to Fierro? That would make things much easier.

BTW, where do you get the molotovs from? :o

Yeah, the sniper rifle sucks, too. The zoom is crap on it, and so is the delay when shooting a moving target. I used to be able to nick people walking on the streets all the time in Vice City.

I have the strategy guide, and there's no mention of a laser scope sniper rifle. I have no clue why the removed it from the weapons list, it was one of my favorite guns.

I got mine from Area 69, drove through the chain link fence to the south and up to my airport to save, then just drive carefully to the export docks.

however it is easier to just steal it from the naval base, have full health and armor, shoot all the police then speed out of the main gates then down the road to the left, down the alley then get in the crane, I got wasted as soon as I exited, but it saved a lot of time than grabing one from Area 69.

Yeah, something like that happened to me to.

As for transporting cars, there is a certain truck that if you tilt the right analog stick down, the backend tilts down to touch the ground. Then if you tilt it up it becomes more like a flatbed. Not sure what the name of it is. I honestly don't think it's the flatbed (not being sarcastic). It's easier to just drive the car where you want it though.

It's a nasty glitch and alot of people on here have experience it, alot have started a new game in an attempt to so what causes it...

Also to DS, I read in the guide that if you ever leave the casino owing them money as soon as you walk out you get a call from the owner saying you better pay up and then the next time you return to the area his henchmen come for you. Wish I could try that but since I have something like 131 billion it's pretty much impossible for me to go broke....

I just died a great death in San Andreas. I had just modded a Washington and it looked kickass but as I was backing out I ran over a cop which got me a star. I drove away until a cop on a bike finally made my precious car go up in flames. I jumped out and watched my wonderful car blow up :(. Then I shot the cop that was responsible and went after the other cops at the bottom of the hill's bridge. Finally I was low on health and a chopper had appeared. I committed suicide by jumping off one of the bridges and landed face first on the side of a mountain and then the chopper beamed its spot light on my crippled body. Such a good way to go down!:D. I probably would've gone out differently if I had been in the Jason Costume though.

Finally beat the B-Dup Mission, using Sweet, 2 other Grove Street guys, and my massive amount of M4 ammo to my advantage.

Now for the NOOOOOOOOOOO part: Right as I was heading back to the Grove to save, the Ballas decided to attack. I got right to the area and tried to run them over, but they all shot my car so I had to bail, I ran away to a nearby wall and watched my car explode. I ducked behind a nearby wall and plotted my next move, but what I didn't realize was that a car randomly parked behindd me was on fire from the last explossion, and that exploded to, leaving my health to the point where the bar was flashing on and off. My Armor was all gone and my health down to below 50%, so when I jumped into a nearby ambulance (totally ignoring the remaining 2 GSF guys I had left over :o ), and sped off to the Grove to save.

However, during the riots, if I can't find a good spot I have to fight out in the open, and when police and sometimes other peds get involved, THEN it gets pretty tricky, because I'll have about 10 million people shotting me on the way to pick up more armor/health. :o

I brought my PS2 to a friend's house which was great since he gave me a few tips while I did my missions. Some of them are good while others are bad but it's still good to work together. Today I also completed the Ammu-Nation challenge so I don't have to worry about that anymore . . . I use to have lots of trouble with the shot gun round when you have to beat booth 2 and 3 but I'm doing better now. The desert eagle is a really good gun since it seems to take out most people in only one shot which will be good for The End Of The Line if I run out of M4 ammo.

I always bought a few Grove guys with me, I will tell them to stay somewhere then I will climb up top of a building to act as their sniper, the ballas will go after my gang member, however I will kill them before they get too close. also using molotov cocktails to cut off some areas is a good way to get them to go the way you want them to go.

but in some cases you have to find a great spot, along the east coast there is a bridge over the highway, go up there after you start a war, the enemy gang members will have to climb the stairs at either end, throw grenades or M.Cocktails at them while aiming with the AK/M4. as Vito said, Try not to get surrounded, you get raped with bullets easy

hint. don't act like rambo with duel machine guns, it is best to bring along a M4 or better yet a chaingun to mow down heaps of people.

Well, for the first two bikes you have to drive to the top of the ramp so maybe that is affecting you.

Anyway, can somebody tell me what the basketball challenge is excatly? Also found out that I loaded so much that I never got busted once throughout the whole game. But I guess that isn't a huge accomplishment.

And I also loaded so much I had about 1500 M4 ammo and 1000 SMG ammo (among other things) going into the last mission. But nobody likes to get wasted.

Finally get to try the last mission.

I ended up having to take over 19 territories (pretty sure it's based on size and you have to control at least 35% of the territory to continue).

But unfortunately, taking over that last territory, by the time I was finished I had the cops all over me. Unable to find any usable cars, I just started sprinting home (I was right around the Willowfield Ammunation). But a damn cop car ran me down from behind (didn't hear it or see it coming), and another cop on foot busted me for the first time in the game. :(

Ah well, I still have $162,264, which should be more than enough to stock up on ammo and armor for the final main storyline mission.

well I figured out how to fix the girlfriend is not home glitch, you must have a blank save slot, save twice on the save slot you have running on then save a third time (or however many times you have to save untill you have reached the time period in which the girl is home) on the blank save slot and load from that slot. Proceed to date the girl untill 100% then do the save for any other girls you have left.

It would've had the ending been better. I think the last mission in Vice City sucked, but I think the last mission in GTA3 is still by far the best of the three games.

I actually liked Vice City's ending a lot since it reminded me of Scarface. I still wouldn't mind if Tommy returned in a future GTA since he was the best main character due to his insanity. Heh, he would've shot Zero the first time that little bitch gave him orders like a slave.

I beat all of Zero's missions and the main story mission and I have two more missions in the Wang car property before I'm finished with all the missions in the game. I'm about 60% done with the game right now.

For the last 4 hours I had a non-stop 6-star chase which covered Land, Sea and Air.

I started out on foot climbed ontop of buildings then shot down some helicopters, blew up some cars using the chaingun, when I got 6 stars I proceeded to take my hydra (from sweet's place), just as I took off a hydra came at me and shot a missle, I just got the flare out in time, there was no smoke coming from the jet so I was glad... after a good half hour of aircombat with about 20 other hydras I clipped another hydra and bailed out into the ocean, south of Los Santos. I stole a police boat which got RAPED by police Helicopter gunfire soon after  , I bailed out and swam for a bit, got back on land stole a tank, went for a joyride through Los Santos, then along the train tracks into San Fierro, caused chaos there then proceeded to Las Venturas via the same train tracks, then bashed down the gates at Area 69, took out the north eastern S.A.M. site of the base, stole a hydra and started my 2nd air combat, flew back to los santos jumped out over grove street parachuted down landed right in front of the house, went in and saved

I had a few close calls with the tank flipping on it's back, but I was smart enough to fire the turrent in a direction which made the tank turn back onto it's tracks.

Right, I'm having some trouble with that mission where you have to get Jizzy's phone off of him. First bit is a piece of piss, but when he runs and drives off is where I'm having trouble. At the first couple of goes I went after and shot his car to bits untill it exploded, causing the mission to fail. Then I just chased him round abit and eventually lost him after I had to switch cars due to his goon shooting it up.

So what have I got to do? Just keep chasing him dodging the bullets or what?

Yeah, I assume that will work.

My percentage went up today 'cause I beat the low rider challenge (which was hard for me) and I bought a property in LV. I've also began the importing and exporting which is fun. Can anybody tell me where I could find a Patriot?

EDIT

I went through a funny glitch that I call "Statue" where I jumped out of the military jet pulled out my parachute and pressed triangle to get out of it but landed in the ocean in the parachute position. CJ went underwater and above the surface over and over again without the air meter.

I remember that mission, and I kinda cheated on it a little bit.

I knew from the start that there would be a car chase involved, so I shot the tyres on Jizzys car outside the building hoping it would work. It did.

The Monster should be harder to get. You can get it by winning a race at the stadium in Las Venturras, you get it from the Import/Export, you get it by meeting Michelle, and you get it in a mission in the desert where you can just drive it to your garage.

P.S. Did anyone think that the after-storyline game in Vice City was more fun to play? I just don't have any motivation in San Andreas to keep playing once I beat the storyline. All the extra missions and races suck for the most part [not to mention it takes awhile to find everything and drive from one county to the other], and you can only go around killing people for so long. I think part of the reason is because the map is so big. Vice City was a big map, but it was all bunched together, so killing sprees were easier. I just think that there's so much to do and so many places to go, I just don't bother sometimes. Does that make any sense to people? It seems like it was easier and more compelling to just start a riot in Vice City than in San Andreas.

I fucking love this game, and I'll probably get back into it and think "what the fuck was I going on about" but as for now, I'm resting from the game.
