Lost in the excitement of playoff seeding and such, Eli Manning played long enough today to throw his 27th interception of the season.
He also ends the season ranked 35th in quarterback rating ahead of only Terrelle Pryor and Geno Smith. lol

lol. ALMOST as good on the road as the Cowboys are in general. Yet you promise "next week will be worse for Philly". You must think the Cowboys are pretty good then to be that cocky about it.
Yes, Saints are ALMOST a .500 team on the road while the Cowboys are a .500 team in general. You can pretend it's because Romo isn't there, because I know that makes you feel better about it (even though yall have had the same record the past three years with Romo).
I am confident the Saints can get a win in Philly. I am also confident that the Cowboys wont get a win next week because they failed at making the playoffs.

The New Orleans Saints Need Popeyes Chicken to Win Postseason Games (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1905620-the-new-orleans-saints-need-popeyes-chicken-to-win-postseason-games)
It’s just a fact: You cannot win in this league without the proper amount of spiced chicken in your diet.
That’s the wisdom coming from columnist Glenn Guilbeau of the Shreveport Times, who spoke with members of the New Orleans Saints as they waited for their postseason opponent to be decided Sunday.
The Saints didn’t know which team they would be facing, but players understood that if they wanted to win on the road in the postseason, they would have to bring back a time-honored franchise tradition.
“Coach has got to give us Popeyes in the plane again,” said Saints wide receiver Robert Meachem. “Everybody’s talking about that.”
Yes—they’ve got to have that chicken. It is the key to the Saints getting the bug off their back and winning on the road, according to Meachem.
“Every road trip in ’09 we had Popeyes,” Meachem said. “Coach needs to bring back the Popeyes. Wherever we play, whoever we play, when we get on the plane—have the Popeyes ready.”
Meachem has a point, considering the Saints went 7-1 on the road during the 2009-10 season and won the first Super Bowl in franchise history.
This season, however, the team’s decision to forgo eating hand-battered chicken at high altitudes has clearly hurt its ability to win on the road. The Saints are 3-5 playing away from the Superdome in 2013, and running back Pierre Thomas believes its time to bring back the tradition.
“We’ve had Popeyes since ’09, but just not this year,” Thomas said. “Oh, we had so much in ’09. Popeyes has been good to us. I think we’ll have Popeyes on the plane this time.”
Considering the Saints haven’t won an away postseason game in franchise history, having Popeyes certainly cannot hurt.
“All we have to do is go to work and keep playing well,” Meachem said.
“And bring the chicken,” interrupted Saints wide receiver Lance Moore.
Hear that, Saints fans? Sounds like a hashtag and a rallying call all in one.

It's amazing that you'd bring this ginger sack of shit up. It is no secret that I am not a believer in Dalton. His numbers don't lie: he chokes in pressure games. But with one win he will have more than Tony Romo! He also has led the Bengals to the playoffs for the third straight year.

Apparently Lovie Smith to the Bucs is looking likely.
Also, Greg Schiano says he's "proud of the culture" he created in Tampa Bay. Wasn't the big story in Tampa Bay that there was a huge rift in the team and a lot of guys openly criticizing him? Be proud, Greg!

Hmmm...Gotta admit that Tampa Bay could be an intriguing opportunity. Would rather see Lovie and Ndamakoung Suh get together in Detroit.
Hate to play the Black Card, but I love Tampa Bay for giving another African American canidate a shot. They're progressive in that regard. This would be their third AA Coach.

As I understand it, we need the Saints to beat Philly. If 9ers and Saints both win in the wild card games, the Saints will have to face the Seahawks at the CLink and 9ers would face Carolina. That would be preferable because not only does Carolina seem a bit easier, but it would give us a chance to not have to play in Seattle if the Saints beat them.
Chances are Seattle will make it to the NFC Championship game, but it would be wonderful if they got upset early on. Never wanted another team to lose more than I want the Seahawks to lose.

I thought SF was the 6th seed. Apparently that win over Arizona put them a game above New Orleans though and eliminated the head to head tiebreaker.
I have a feeling Carolina's not gonna win in the divisional round regardless of who they play though. They just seem "fragile" for some reason and there's always a home team or two that gets taken out in the round.

And now he's arguably the worst QB in the league. Have fun always looking back fondly.
He had a shitty year but there is no way that one year is enough to throw the guy into "worst QB in the league" status. Not many QBs can avoid having shitty years when virtually their entire offensive line goes down and they are stuck being protected by the practice squad.
Even the 27 interceptions are misleading. There's no question he makes some really dumb decisions at times. But I've also never seen a team have so much bad luck with tipped passes. If they keep track of those things, the Giants probably set a record for tipped ball interceptions this year. Once the inevitable Eli 27 interception montage comes out I'd actually be interested in seeing how many times the receivers bobbled the ball right into the hands of the defender. I'd guess at least a dozen.
Priority #1 this offseason is to rebuild the line. I'm hoping for at least one free agent signing (preferably at center) and drafting the best tackle available at #12 overall. If they have to shift Justin Pugh in to right guard, so be it. Eli may not be in the top tier of QBs but if he can a line that doesn't cause him to get swarmed in half a second every other play he'll be more than serviceable.

12-30-2013, 08:48 PM
I looked to see if the "Eli Manning 27 interception montage" is out already to test that theory but all I found was a montage of all 25 interceptions he threw in 2010. Forgot all about that. lol
You can make excuses and I'm sure not all of the INTs were his fault but he has made a habit of throwing a fuckton of interceptions. Probably more consistently than any QB in football.

That...and the fact that he doesn't know what the fuck he's doing.
Honestly, I can't say that. He has amassed a lot of talent in Dallas. I think he tinkers a tad too much. There was a sports radio guy who compared JJ to Steinbrener. They said that George didn't really make the Yankees good, The core of their championship teams was built while he was serving his yearlong suspension, and the GM's could amass talent without the Boss brooding over them, questioning or vetoing their ever move.
Wonder if it's time for somebody to kidnap Jerry...for the good of the Cowboys.

Literally dont remember Romo winning any game past week 16. But, I cant be bothered to care about any of romo's stats. Could care less about any of his failures. But keep up the gimmick, your idiocy is oddly endearing....in a 'lets befriend the retard' type of way.

I could care less about Romo. I could care less about his stats. He has one win in the playoffs. Andy Dalton would tie him if he wins this week. Dalton has been in the league three years. Romo has been in the league since 2003.
Now that the correct statement has been made, it actually makes me laugh a bit harder at the clusterfuck that is the Cowboys. The cowboys reward mediocrity with votes of confidence and contract extensions.

Nah, they're too busy covering Kobe's knee injury and Lebron existing.

Did Alex Smith not play a great game?
Or are you just ragging on him because you just want to as a 49ers fan?

FRAUDS!
Hats off to your boys, RP. Chuck & Luck conducted that 2nd half beautifully.
Touche good sir. Touche.
I don't know what to do right now. I'm unhinged.
You deserve to party like a fucking rock star right now. Enjoy this victory. It's certainly well deserved.

No way, he played a great game. He played the game of his life in fact. Well, except under pressure...AGAIN. I hope for his demise because of my support for Kap and so I can prove the point I've tried to make all season. Since week 2 the 49ers (not so) faithful were begging for him back and turning on Kaepernick. That point was, I'd rather have Kaepernick as my quarterback any and all days over Smith. It's a self-fulfilling thing, really.

Oh ok.
I really liked this tweet, The Fraze. I was impressed with the wordplay and found it to be very clever:
