In my opinion, If there's one thong you cant "attack" Kris P for, its his passion for his sports teams. He's a pretty hardcore fan and he likes looking into intricate stats and such. His hobby is sports and he knows a fucking shit ton about his team. He is a true fan whether they win or whether they are awful. He's "all in." Again, if you don't care then just don't read it. Pretty easy to skip over.

#1, you're complaining about something that can easily be ignored if you don't care for it. This is the NFL thread, he is well within his rights to post about his favorite NFL team. I don't think you have much of an argument. Just find a way to ignore him if you don't like it.

Like I said, there's a difference between posting about your team in a way that can be discussed (like everyone else tends to do) and posting random stats. Not stats that say "Hey, this player is having a remarkable season" or anything. Just regular, run-of-the-mill stats that basically say "Hey, guys. In case you wanna save the time it was gonna take for you to go on NFL.com and look up the current stats for my team, here they are." It's not even bragging, which would be understandable. It's literally just meaningless shit. I'm just saying it's retarded and it's along the same lines of most of his Saints talk.

Maybe Ossman's more subtle reply to it at the top of page 18 was a better idea. If it was most other posters I probably would have gone that route and not flat out told him no one cares. Meh.

I don't know what's more sad, the Giants being 0-4 or the fact that they're only 2 games out of the division lead.
#1-norm-fan
09-29-2013, 10:09 PM
Considering the Giants have lost their last three games by a total of 80 points, Dallas beating them by 5 almost feels like a loss now. 7-9 could win that division like the 2010 Seahawks.
Evil Vito
09-29-2013, 10:15 PM
Yeah, 7-9 really could do it. A Giants win next week would shockingly tie them with the Eagles and put them right within striking distance, possibly even just 1 game out assuming Denver continues to roll. A loss would probably be it though even with a terrible division. 0-5 is just too big of a hole. Would require a 7-4 finish to the season with 4 divisional games left to play.
Evil Vito
09-29-2013, 10:17 PM

They are the most underachieving team of the past five years, probably. So much talent on offense, but the defense has never done much of anything. Matt Ryan doesn't have shitty games like this often, but he also doesn't really carry the team very much either. And with all the injuries, Matty has to carry the team right now - he's not doing it, not even close.

And as good as Mike Smith has been in making the team a consistent winning team, he's just really conservative most of the time, and the Falcons really just get caught flat-footed in the second half of a lot of games. Mike Smith went for it on 4th down in the 1st quarter tonight and it didn't work out, so he'll probably just kick field goals the rest of the year!

His 4th quarter comeback ratio is starting to dip pretty badly. I don't think he's the issue with the offense though...the playcalling is still subpar most of the time.

The Chargers completely whiffed on their decision between Brees and coaching but it did make some sense back then.
Brees was showing signs of already peaking with the Chargers while he didn't really start to become an elite QB until around 2-3 years into his Saints era.
Using Rivers as an example, he probably wouldn't have been able to reach the next level of greatness had he staid there.

Also, Former Cleveland Brown Coaches include Bill Belicheck, Nick Saban, Al Groh, Kirk Frentz, Pat Hill, and Bill Obrien.
Oh Yeah Ozzie Newsom, and Thomas Dimitroff are also Cleveland Browns alum.
There's also this thing about Cleveland firing their founder and that founder moving to another city and starting a team there that I am currently a rabid fan of.

So, do you guys remember when Peyton was available and the Cardinals dropped themselves out of the race because they loved Kevin Kolb too much? Because Peyton FUCKING Manning definitely would not have loved still playing half his games in a dome and throwing to the vacuum otherwise known as Larry Darnell Fitzgerald Jr.
