Another issue is that I don't have NFL Network so I don't get to see these games I could easily watch/follow on Sunday.
This. Rather annoying to not see your favorite team play because they are on the Nfl network.

I remember at least at one point, the local CBS/Fox affiliate here would simulcast the game here if it was a local team and the game wasn't subject to the blackout rule. I didn't check either time this season though to see if that's still the case.

The Jags will win on week 10. They are playing Tennessee and it is after their bye week. They also play Houston twice and may end up with a win there. Also, Indy is during the last week and with any luck, pun intended, the game may not matter for Indy.

I really hope the Jags go 0-16 this year. Mainly because their 0-16 would be significantly worse than '08 Lions. :o
Though to be fair, the Lions were 7-9 ATS that year, and Jax is so far 5-1, so they are covering. However, the counterpoint is the Lions had never seen the ridiculous spreads that Jacksonville has been seeing this year, so suck it
I bet Jacksonville wins at least 3 games this year. They're really bad, but I don't think they're abnormally bad. The predictions I make in this thread have been bad lately though.

I don't know. They don't really have much of a bright spot on the team outside Jones-Drew and even he seems to have given up trying to win football games.
Nervous Ferret
10-19-2013, 06:33 PM
The Curtis Painter Colts still won 2 games. The Jaguars aren't abnormally bad. Every year there is a bad team or 2 that people love to pile on for comedic purposes I guess. Blackmon and "Shorts III" are fantastic.
The worst team in recent history is definitely the Rams before Sam Bradford. Something like 25 straight losses over 2 years. And that was only 5 years ago maybe. You people have the worst memories.

They might have a chance against the Cards but yeah wouldn't be surprised if they went winless. Their schedule being really tough this year doesn't help either.
Think the Lions being winless would still sting more considering at least they were really competitive in several games that year unlike the Jags so far.
#1-norm-fan
10-19-2013, 06:55 PM
The Bucs seem to be flying under the winless team radar with all this attention the Jags are getting.
Giants too of course but I can't see them even making it past this week winless.

MJD is gone after this season. He will still play, just not in Jax. Same goes for Mercedes Lewis. Granted if we can get a stellar franchise QB, and he can produce, he along with Blackmon and CSIII will absolutely wreck shit.

Bucs stunk just as bad as the Jags when they went winless but usually gets attributed more because it was their first ever season in the NFL. The NFL even passed several rules so that future expansion teams were treated better than the Bucs were.

What games do I get to watch today?
1:00pm on CBS: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Detroit Lions. Favorite team playing. Lions fun to watch on tv. Bengals kinda boring to watch sometimes but still favorite team. Evenly matched teams. 7/10.
4:00pm on CBS: Cleveland Browns vs. Green Bay Packers. Browns not that interesting. Rival of my favorite team. Packers pretty interesting. Probable blowout. 6/10.
4:00pm on Fox: San Francisco 49ers vs. Tennessee Titans. 49ers pretty interesting. Don't know anything about the Titans. 49ers probably better but don't know for sure. 7/10.
8:00pm on NBC: Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts. Yes very good. Denver very interesting. Colts very interesting. Interesting storyline. Evenly matched teams. 10/10.
Could be a good day. Depends if afternoon games are competitive. Think Titans game could be sleeper good.

Romo, Witten, Dez on the offense. Ware, Carr and Scandrick on the defense. Outside of them, I'd be fine just seeing the rest of the team gutted. I feel like with those six, they've got a shot. But Goddamn, they need some competent coaching.

Not a lot of confidence in this team to win in Philly today though. If they do, I'd be pretty impressed. As it stands, an amazing offensive performance against Denver and a win last week screams "time to get lax and not show up". Tends to be how things have gone under Garrett.

1:00 ET: Chicago Bears @ Watchington Redskins on FOX. Skins are my hometown team so I root for them. Chicago has always been my #2/3 team, but recently I have disliked them because of J Cutler. Devin Hester is my favo(u)rite player ever. Love RG Third. Interest: 7/10
4:00 ET: Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers on CBS. Fuck both of these teams. This is consistenly the most boring game every year and it is always shown. The Steelers actually suck now, I don't know if that makes this game better or worse. Interest: 1/10
8:30 Denver Broncos @ Andrew Colts on Sunday Night Football on NBC. Love Peyton Manning. Colts are interesting. Big storyline here. Interest: 10/10

Nothing wrong in that obviously, but I wanted to watch a good chunk of their games to see if that is true.

Of course you, being starved for attention, chose the NFL thread to randomly try to start a big fight in the NFL thread back up.
Also, a man who has had posters get together and spend their time to write and film a music video dedicated to how horrible and cringeworthy he is as a person offically loses the right to call others horrible.
Also, you seriously will likely die of diabetes in a year or so and it will be the greatest day in TPWW history.

Offense is too conservative for its own good. When you settle for field goals all day, especially after a turnover, it normally comes back to bite.

Sean Payton should have made that face. Ryans group did their job, stopping Brady like 3 times in the last 5 minutes of the game. Saints lack of a running game, and questionable play calling, lead to not getting crucial first downs to run out the clock.

I can see a home win against Buffalo, possibly Arizona and a random division upset like the last week of the season in Indy if Indy already has their seed locked up and everything. They showed in Denver that they can at least "get people's attention" when their completely outmatched.
