Video 1 - The Entrance

MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY :love: Ted comes out with THE MILLION DOLLAR CHAMPIONSHIP! He strusts his way down to the ring, taunting the crowd along the way. He gets in the ring and taunts the crowd. There is a great sync where Ted's model laughs, just when he does in the music.

Video 2 - Fight Time

Ted takes Tajiri down with a stiff chop and gives him a backbreaker. DiBiase then gives him a running scoopslam and then knocks him down with the shoulder block.

Video 3 - The End

DiBiase drops three fists down on Tajiri and then punches him a couple of more times in the head which BUSTS HIM WIDE OPEN! He then locks in the Million Dollar Dream and forces Tajiri to tap out. Ted then celebrates his victory.

I have no idea who Junkyard Dog is. That in addition to his 83 rating make me believe he doesn't deserve to be a legend.

Ive always tried to create him but it was never the same without that music. Million Dollar stable are going to invade smackdown on my game i know that.

Only things im dissapointed with are 3 HOGANS, lack of interactivity in hell in a cell matches, no UK vs USA online matches, and no new match types.

Other than that im happy, oh and isn't the time limit hardcore match returning? :naughty:

This has been addressed already. THQ claims that the fans wanted Hogan and it was done as a tribute to him. So hopefully this is the last and only time we'll ever have 3 separate Hogans. ;)

Like what? We already have a mini-game where you try and prevent somebody from leaving through the door, they've improved the way you grab people down from the cage wall, you can push people off the cell ceiling, do moves and put people through the ceiling to the ring below. What kind of interactivity were you looking for?

This one I happen to agree with. If other games can do it...

To quote Eric Bischoff, "Hold the phone! Hold the phone!" Is Buried Alive not a new match type? Is the classic blue steel cage not a new match type?

Point 1. I sure as hell didn't want 3 Hogans. However i know what your saying here, so lets just hope this Hogan fetish is out of THQ's head by the time the next smackdown games released.

Point 2. I want to see more animations when throwing someone through the cell - throw people through the announcers table.

Also id like to see panels break randomly during each match so every Hell In A Cell match is different.

Weapons under the ring, being able to throw weapons onto the top of the Hell In a Cell would be great too. :y:

How about being able to stomp on your opponents fingers when he's right at the top of the cage (when climbing up). :y:

More and i mean a lot more special moves when throwing someone off the side of the cage, plus make it harder to do and add more damage when you pull off a special move off the cage.

The ability to set up tables - stack them, and throw your opponent off the top of the cage and through the tables.

These are just a few ideas off the top of my head but they'd improve the Hell In A Cell match type in my opinion. :D :y:

How about having an animation for example like how Mick Foley was back dropped through the top of the Hell In A Cell? Maybe have a dent appear in the mat to show the impact? :D

You could even go as far as implimenting some kind of mini game to try and avoid being backdropped through the hell in a cell! :D

I still believe there is a lot more THQ/YUKES can do to improve interaction in gimmick matches. Even if a few of these ideas were used it would improve my enjoyment of the game in a big way.

Maybe on the PS3 the matches will be more complexed and interactive? Only time will tell.. :D

Point 3 Agreed no UK vs USA online sucks donkeys balls! Would it really be that hard to impliment Thq?

Point 4 You got me there, Buried Alive is a new match type but i want to see More New Match Types not just one or two. The series has been the same for years now, why not have more gimmick matches? The more different NEW match types the better for me. Even if they had to take some others out to save time, i just want to see some New Match Types.

The Buried Alive Match and the Classic Blue Cage Match is a start but it would be great to have a new feel to the game rather than playing matches that have simply had a new upgrade or two.

More interactivity please! :naughty:

Anyone have any thoughts on my ideas?

PYRO: What other new match types would you recommend? I say they include an Ambulence Match, where you throw your opponnet into the ambulence to win. It would along the same lines as the Buried Alive match, and even have a little animation at the end where you drive the ambulence out of the arena. :p

Also, this is WWE, so there wouldn't be multiple table stackings and mega-bumps through said tables. But I do agree with you on the varied animations and the randomness of ceiling cells breaking. :)

Right well id like to see maybe an Inferno Match, Ambulance Match - Great Idea :y:, A Stretcher Match too - which you could have as part of the Ambulance match. :naughty:

Push the stretcher to the ambulance, push it into the ambulance, close the door, AND THEN comes the little animation of you driving out of the arena! :p

You could maybe push the stretcher off the side of the stage as a special move or something. :lol:

Maybe a classic street fight - Outside the actual arena like Al Snow and Crash Holly or Raven did one time.

TLC match thats a lot more interactive with the addition of fighting eachother on different ladders e.t.c. Ladders falling out of the blue, just something to add a bit of spice and excitement to the TLC/Ladder Matches.

Its hard to think of things off the top of my head but basically any match thats been on WWE Tv i would like to see at some point.

As for the violence issue, its a video game so basically anything goes in my opinion. Most of the people who play it are my age in there 20's or maybe some are late teens / early twenties. I dont know many kids that play the game personally.

Im glad you liked the animations ideas, im hoping someone takes notice of those and adds more excitement and mini games to matches like Hell In A Cell and TLC matches. :y:

So far, this years game is looking pretty damn good to me, the list of modifications and improvements is vast compared with last years effort. I'd like to see a stretcher match, because that's a fairly new gimmick in WWE...Hell in a Cell could be more interesting, weapons from under the ring, taking the weapons to the roof, random panels on the sides of the cell so you don't know how to escape, as opposed to just walking into the door whenever you want to leave, and the ability to actually fight and do your own thing between the apron and cell wall...

No chance in hell WWE was using the Queen theme, and I think "Grab Them Cakes" wasn't classic enough for them. I never even knew JYD had a theme between "Another One Bites The Dust" and "Grab Them Cakes" (or before them both?). That's awesome and will be added to Xylot Themes. :D

Also...British Bulldog's up next! But his theme is...weird... generic version methinks.

And I think Bulldog's ringwalk video settles it; they had guys impersonate the legends that are no longer with us for the motion-capturing. :D

I think that since they're using "Schizophrenic", they should've had the old Mankind (brown attire) in there. I associate white-shirt-and-tie Mankind with "Wreck" and Mick Foley. But it's all good.

And yeah, the theme JYD uses doesn't really sound like anything he would've used. But still, why couldn't they have used "Grab Them Cakes"? They own that theme, I know that for sure. Unless somebody representing JYD post-mortum owns it instead.

He was simply one of the best wrestlers never to win the major title. :y:

Brilliant charisma, he was funny - in an evil way (but i like that!) :naughty:

He was as ive said a fantastic grappler both down on the mat and on his feet. Ive asked Paul Bearer in the past whether Ted Dibiase should have been WWF Champion or not and he said "He was one of the best never to win it" i remember those words. :y:

One of my favourites at the time and still is, im going to play the hell out of his character! i cant wait. He was and will always be an Awesome Bad Guy! :y:

A cheap knock off of his British theme plays and he comes out and struts his way to the ring. He gets in the ring and flexes his muscles.

Video 2 - Fight Time

Bulldog beats Flair in a test of strength and shoves him on his ass. Bulldog then gives him a stalling suplex and a huge gorilla press slam. He then chops him down and the taunts the old man.

Video 3 - The End

POOOOOOOOOOOOUNCE on Flair and then gives him the Oklahoma Slam, I'll probably change that. Bulldog gets the three and then celebrates.

OMG HEEL MANKIND :love: :heart: :love: He comes out wearing the HARDCORE TITLE! He walks down to the ring in his heelish ways, no more Mr Socko. Wish he had his brown attire though :( He gets in the ring and breaks kayfabe and does the socko taunt on the turnbuckles.

Video 2 - Fight Time

Mankind runs over Carlito with two clotheslines before throwing him away by his throat. Mankind then drops Carlito with a powerbomb and a back suplex.

Video 3 - The End

Ref is down and Carlito and Mankind are on the outside. Mankind whips Carlito into the ring and gives him an elbow across his neck. Carlito fights back by smacking him in the balls but Mankind comes back with a back suplex. He then lays out Carlito with the Double Arm DDT and gets the three. Mankind then celebrates the victory, although he doesn't have his soothing music :(

Looking awesome.. i should get a good 6 - 7 months gameplay out of this game, i always do.

Then when i get the PS3 hopefully one of the first games i get will be Smackdown Vs Raw 2007.. oh i cant fucking wait! :lol:

Level of detail is awesome on the character models considering the PS2 is a good few years old now. :y: Amazing stuff, Bulldog and Dibiase look cool.

Nice. I wonder why a lot of IGNers feel strongly about killing THQ for ever including GM Mode. It makes no sense, it's an additinal feature, if one doesn't like it, just don't play it. :p

I also told a few to fuck off, and i guess that didn't help things. They called me a psycho and sick in the head for beating up divas on Smackdown Vs Raw! :lol:

Plus i dont like divas and you know how many diva fanboys they have on Ign.. daaamn!

I made a nice impact though and some people even had my name in there sigs, truth is though i couldn't care less about IGN. The only good posters are people who post on here, the rest of IGN bitch and moan about every god damn thing.

I only browse IGN now really but not as much as i used to.

I was called The_Man_Known_As_X on Ign by the way. Wasn't around long but made some good posts about Smackdown and some ideas i had. :D

I like the fact that they gave Andre some sort of theme music... This is the best music for a CAW I've done in every SmackDown game, Mynd.

I'm upset with Hitman's intro... The pop isn't loud enough. NEEDS MORE NOISE!!!!

Oh dear, Spike is going to get his shit fucked up. Andre lifts him up for a gorilla press slam and drops him down. Andre hits some shoulder thrusts and gives him a big knee to the gut. Andre then gives him a big sidewalk slam.

Andre punches Spike really hard in the head and drops the big elbow and gets the three. Andre then celebrates.

October 27, 2005 - You've heard the rumors, seen the Australian box scans, and asked the editors at IGN Live, but the subject has always been the same: General Manager Mode: is it real or is it not? As we're sure you've guessed by now, the franchise-inspired feature in indeed a real addition to WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2006 -- the final piece of a grand scheme that THQ hopes will show gamers that this was the year the team pulled out all the stops.

"Going into this, we wanted to make sure we listened to the fans who enjoyed creating and simulating their own weeks through Fantasy Football-type leagues," commented producer Devin Knudsen, one of the primary masterminds of the GM Mode. "We think that this is a great way for guys who like power booking to get even more out of their game than what was originally thought."

The feature itself is pretty straightforward. Available in the same menu as Season Mode and Create-A-PPV, the GM option allows users to assume the role of head of either SmackDown or RAW with the ultimate goal of earning the highest ratings. When starting off, gamers can use SVR's default roster set or draft their own from scratch and gain up to 20 superstars for their roster at a time. The trick here is to work within your budget to assemble the best possible lineup -- while also keeping in mind that first pick is entirely random (which can affect the order and which guys you go after).

After players have picked their lineup, it's off to assign their champions. Luckily, you don't have to assign champs if you don't want and can set it up so that they can wrestle for the title later on in the season. Any champion can end up on any show through trades and releases too (with the exception of Cruiserweight for SmackDown and Women for RAW), but to start all the proper belts begin with the appropriate program.

Once titles have (or haven't) been taken care of, Vince McMahon welcomes you to the family and charges you with the goal of getting the highest ratings possible from now until WrestleMania. Whichever GM gets the highest score by then, wins the season and wins the mode (along with a few unlockables and trophies).

Internally, this feature is being referred to by THQ as "Year One GM Mode." The producers have acknowledged that there's still a lot they could add and tweak if it's to be perfect somewhere down the line, but they're going to use fan reactions and suggestions from this year to figure out where to take the mode for next year's version. But this forward thinking doesn't mean that Year One GM Mode isn't capable, it does offer some cool little things to toy around with.

To start, GM Mode can be played by one or two players simultaneously. That means that one guy can head up SmackDown while the other heads up RAW, and they can compete head-to-head in the aftermath. This kind of multiplayer element was frequently requested for Season Mode of course, but because of the specificities of the storyline, wasn't too plausible. Now with GM Mode where storylines are a non-issue, multiplayer is a reality.

Anyhow, the GM Desk itself allows for some pretty flexible decision making. Broken into Schedule, E-Mail, Rosters, Reports, Financials, and News, the desk area gives users all the information necessary for a successful year. The schedule, for instance, gives you an easy to read calendar that highlights when your shows will be along with PPVs. Strangely, Velocity and HEAT aren't on the schedule, but considering the new roles that both of those shows have on recent programming, it's no big loss.

E-Mail is a very important section that serves as your primary lines of communication. If Jim Ross wants to send you helpful tutorial info, then this is how he does it. If one of your wrestlers is unhappy with his current situation and wants to demand a pay raise or trade, this too is where he'll do so. The Roster option is equally important because it's used for trading, releasing, and hiring new superstars to fill the lineup. Created wrestlers can appear in the Free Agent pool (along with unselected and released WWE Superstars) and you can add whomever you wish from there as long you have room for them and can afford it. Luckily, you can make trades for up to three wrestlers at once, so making room shouldn't bee too much of an issue.

The Reports tabs offers graphs that show off what kind of fan reaction you're getting. PPV, SmackDown, and RAW ratings results are housed in this screen via helpful graphs and the Fan Support meter shows the ups and downs over the year across the board. J.R's Report Card is also part of the Report category and allows you to check out his view on the overall picture, injuries, locker room morale, and more. Financials work in a similar way, with the exception that it deals with how you spend and make money as opposed to ratings.

To make your numbers work, players can do a number of different things in a given week. During any card, for instance, you can book up to six different matches and cut two promos to help create excitement around you lineup. The key here is successfully build rivalries and popularity through wins and effective marketing. Sadly, promos aren't illustrated in any way and are text only, but at least you'll have the ability to come in and participate (or simulate) any match you want. You could simulate and not play the entire season if you want, or play out every individual match -- the choice is yours.

There are a number of other factors that contribute to how popular your show is as well (so if a hometown hero wins in his breeding grounds, then that will boost his popularity rating). Match type, title defenses, and rivalry intensity affects the popularity of your wrestlers, and if you don't push a wrestler enough, hard enough he can get pissed off and leave you. You can invade competing shows and try to injure competing superstars too, and winning cross-brand PPVs gives you special bonuses later on.

At the end of the year, the WrestleMania main event and GM closer is decided by which show got the highest ratings. Following WrestleMania, three guys randomly switch sides and the season mode starts all over again. As an added bonus, if you were good enough to win the ratings war, you'll win the GM of the Year award which enables you the ability to pick one superstar from the competitor's roster. It also unlocks a few special costumes and some extra cash, so being the best certainly has its rewards.

Of course, there are a few other cool little things associated with GM Mode that are best left for you to discover in a couple of weeks when SmackDown 2006 finally comes out. Q: is there any new weapon and apron besides the head into apron moves??? Thanx

A: What I have seen so far is slamming your opponents head into the ring apron and slaming them into the steel pole turnbuckle from the outside. Thats all ive seen so far.

Q: I have seen a challenge that says break 5 weapons so I wondered what weapons actually break and is there a masterlock challenge in the challenge mode or anywhere in season from what you have seen?

A: Some of the weapons take FOREVER to break, so thats not gonna be easy. The easiest one to break is the chair and that takes almost a dozen hits to break and dissapear. I have not seen the Master Lock challenge but I havent played through the RAW season, Ill keep you posted.

A: In Hardcore matches, its under the left side of the apron.

A: Brock yes, Goldberg no.

A: Yes, your character speaks in season mode.

Is the hair better as in more options or better quality...or both?

A: Only winning animations, the hair is better in quality and options in my opinion.

Q: Belts on CAWs, does it still look like the belts are too big for the CAWs or do they fit on them like they do on normal superstars?

A: They don't look perfect in this build, but definitley the best ive ever seen them look on CAWs maybe on the last build we will know for sure. But for now, they look better than last year but not as good as the real wrestlers.

Q: can you watch championship matches in exhibition? like cpu vs cpu for the created championship?

A: Yes you can.

Q: Ok here is my question and its a damn good one, what exactly happens when you close your opponent inside the casket??

A: Not much, you tell the dumpster to dump the dirt on the casket and then lightning hits the tombstone and you celebrate. Thats it...pretty lame really.

Q: Like I asked before, is it possible to make fat people in CAW mode this year? Because I was planning on making Earthquake, and Yokozuna.

A: I already said yes! Do NOT ask this again!!!

Now that is something worth complaining about. :p Seriously though, we all though it'd be like Legends of Wrestling where they had like 100 first names and 100 last names, in addition to other call names. I was easily able to name my CAW (Rich Wilson). In SVR I gave him the "Professional" moniker, and was hoping that SVR 06 would make it possible to have his full gimmick name "The Professional" Rich Wilson. But alas, 'twas not meant to be. :(

I have a question. Has anyone made a CAW in a wrestling game and wished a certain entrance theme was in?

For example I made CJ from GTA:SA. He came out in a low-rider and he had his jeans and white tanktop and came to the ring in a green jacket with LS on the back and SA on the front and had a green rag on his head and shades even the moves where well done but I really wished the Shelton Benjimans 2nd theme "Desperate Times" was in the game.It would have suited him perfectly both in beat and lyrics.
It doesn't have to be a guy from a game.Even if you made an origonal guy. Ever wished a certain theme was in?

Bret comes out in his leather jacket and makes his way down to the ring. He gets in the ring and taunts. He then goes out and gives his glasses away. :heart:

Video 2 - Fight Time

Bret drops HBK with a neckbreaker and after a couple of reversals he does some cruiserweight moves and another neckbreaker. A flapjack and suplex follow.

Video 3 - The End

Bret locks in the Sharpshooter, which HBK manages to escape. Bret then nails a piledriver on Jesus Boys head and gets the three. He then celebrates his victory.

For custom CAW call names. If you've ever played Legends of Wrestling, when you created a wrestler, you could assign a custom first name, gimmick name, and last name that the announcer would actually call out. SVR only had gimmick names, and terrible ones at that, like "Half Man, Half Amazing" and "The Kid".

When SVR 2006 was confirmed to have actual call names, everybody rejoiced, including me. I thought they'd have last names as well. Because only Divas come out with only a first name.

I mean, they couldn't have included common American last names like Smith, Wilson, Johnson, Williams, Brown, or Jones? Meh, oh well.

Oh, and Rich Wilson's gimmick is that he's an arrogant guy who never fails to tell others of his greatness, which he can back up in the ring. He was trained in Mexico and Japan, and is mainly a luchador-style wrestler, with a brawler side to him as well. He's the figurehead of my FWF (Fantasy Wrestling Federation). I have a whole slew of CAWs that belong to the FWF.

They invaded the WWF back in No Mercy 64 and everything, and have been a part of WWF/E ever since. :p

Meh, I hardly call DoR 2 a ripoff.

Granted, SvR 2K6 and even the ORIGINAL SvR killed the DoR series in match types, choices, etc., but I'd much rather SvR have the gameplay system that DoR has. It's infinitely superior, in my opinion.

But in regards to DoR 2, this is looking to trounce it really thoroughly. The fact that GM Mode is 100% confirmed is even better. EWR in a videogame format = A game that needs to be released NOW.

This won't be the best WWE game ever, but it'll obviously be the best one to date. Looks a HELL of a lot better than SvR.

Gamecube Wrestlers have always had 3 key factors over smackdown ones, and 1 smaller factor
-Gameplay
-Create an Entrance
-Create a Wrestler
-Perfect Hell in a Cell Match (not TOO important)

Now that Smackdown finally has create an entrance, and DOR 2's CAW has gone to shit, the only thing DOR has left is it's gameplay. Gameplay is one of the most important things though.

I just wish they would put DOR 2's gameplay into SvR...

I had a feeling the GM Mode would be in too. The only reason i thought they might leave it out would be to bring it in as a new feature for the PS3. It just makes you wonder what they have put into the game and taken out in development doesn't it?

The PS3 version could be like EWR depth wise potentially. I know they wont show as much detail but it would be a cool little feature if you could handle wages, sponsorship, future stars and signing stars that kind of thing.

I'll be ordering off gameplay in the coming days, 1st class postage and make sure you get it sent in a plastic envelope too. Why? because if your out or in bed they can still post it through your letterbox. ;) :y:

FIRST THING I do when I GET the game is a ELIMINATION CHAMBER

WITH My Hassan, HHH, ANGLE, CHRISTIAN, HBK, AND ORTON :D :love:

Stevie Fucking A is just me with the volume turned right up. The A stands for Awesome by the way.. that part goes on the back of my shirt and Stevie F'N A on the front. He does the RVD taunt a lot and just generally taunts people a lot.

Dont ask me why but the character pisses my brother off so i use him all the time.

Im excited about the game i must admit but i still haven't ordered it, then again i ordered Football Manager 2005 a few days before it was released and still got it on the day of release from Gameplay, so i'll probably do the same again.

I dont know if i'll be making any Caws to be honest, it depends what music and entrances are available. With the full entrances the game should be a lot better when it comes to creating caws.

Disturbed explain the Double K.O if you can, hows that possible? :-\

Anyway Double KO's are crystal clear. If you and your opponant have low/no stamina, and one of you hits a finisher, you both will go down and will have to the count of ten to get up.

You do this by stopping a slider in the stamina section of a bar. Check out gamingrings Carlito vs Mankind match to see it.

Ahh ok, well to tell you the truth i haven't watched any gameplay videos because i want to find out things myself when i play the game. I love the addition of stamina because that will stop people using their biggest moves over and over again. :love:

If they try that now with the new gameplay system their characters going to become weak and tired. :cool:

Ooh, I like this DKO idea, it only adds even more to the realism already prevalent in SVR 2006. I can't wait to hear the ref (and the crowd?) count while both me and my opponent are on the ground, tired, out of breath, and out of stamina. ;)

Thats only in 2 days and i would jump for joy if it came out then. I wasn't going to pre-order yet but i rang EB games and they said if you pre-order you get a special steel cage edition or something and supposedly thats the box type or something. Anyone have any information about the Box?
