Why does everybody diss the Divas on a video game? I don't just mean you, but everybody seems to do it, everwhere. I actually like the fact that they're there and playable, it's all good. Just admit that she looks very realistic and the detail is amazing, even if her boobs on the game are a bit too big. :p

Video 1 - Enterance

Right, I don't think anyone got the chance to see Jindrak perform on Raw before he was released, so I guess we will just have to say this enterance is EXACTLY what he would have done, if he had the chance. Some generic rock music plays as Jindrak comes out sporting some lovely gold underpants. He makes his way to the ring. In the background we can see King and JR having some kind of debate and when Jindrak gets to the ring, we see Lillian holding the mic behind her back. Amazing how much detail they have put in this time. Jindrak looks great, in a non homosexual way :shifty: He gets in the ring and poses. Pretty funny how he gets almost no reaction from the crowd.

Video 2 - Fight time part I

The video starts out with a huge GOSH by JR. We are 46 seconds into a Jindrak vs Scotty 2 Hotty match, the sign during his enterance was right, this is MATCH OF THE CENTURY. Jindrak goes for a choke lift by it gets reversed, much to King's delight. The two wrestlers return reversals for abit before Jindrak knocks Scotty on his ass with a straight right punch. Jindrak nails a backbreaker before the video goes black. Again, almost no reaction what so ever.

Video 3 - The end

Scotty has got full momentum and pounds on Jindrak a little. Jindrak fights back and whips Scotty into the corner and his his finishing move, the huge flying clothesline from the top. He pins Scotty for 3. I love that clothesline, had it as one of my CAW's turnbuckle moves last year. Jindrak goes around the ring punching the air celebrating whilst King tells us he is the luckiest guy in the world, ahh bless.

When THQ was making the game, it was around spring of this year. AT THAT TIME, all those released superstars were IN THE WWE.

If you put in months of work scanning superstars' faces and motion-capturing their entrances and taunts and even some of their moves, would YOU throw it all away just to make it accurate as possible? They don't HAVE THE TIME to fill in replacement wrestlers in the place of Charlie Haas, Mark Jindrak, etc.

I personally don't mind the old roster. I'd love to play with Charlie Haas...er...in the game that is... :shifty:

So yeah, everybody take notice of what I just typed above. Don't ask again why older wrestlers were left in. Please.

<font color=goldenrod>To be honest, I appreciate the detail, but I don't really care as much about seeing the divas because I'll likely only use them in a match a couple of times (usually the first day I get the game I make sure I see EVERYONE available at the start before diving into season, but other than that...)

I think they should have done away with voiceovers because it limited the storylines so damn much (couldn't switch brands around and you always had the same storylines), but since your own character now has VO, methinks none of the voiceovers will mention a specific wrestler (thus allowing you to have different characters in the storylines).....one can only hope, at least...</font>

That's a good question. Animal might not be a legend in this game, and Rosey definitely isn't in it. Neither are MNM or even the Heart Throbs (though they were never champs), I don't think. Regal isn't it either, is he? So it can't be Regal/Eugene. La Resistance perhaps? I know Conway's in there, is Grenier? I'm too lazy to look.

I'd say Guerrero and Mysterio for the WWE Tag Team belts. Ah well

Generally the loading times of the same game, are faster on a Gamecube. But there still are loading times for games, I'm playing through Killer7 at the moment (on the GC), and there's a lot of loading in that.

Only game I can think of console wise that has no loading times is Dead Or Alive Ultimate on the Xbox, but even that preloads things into the cache (but not every time you turn it on).

I'm not bashing the PS2. I own all three consoles, and my PS2 gets a LOT of use. Thing is, if anything is ever multi-platformed, my PS2 gets ignored because of the horrible loading it has to deal with. Killer7 is a prime example indeed. There's still a lot of loading on the GC version, but not NEARLY as much as there is on the PS2.

Video 1 - Enterance

Woooooo another diva! This time it's Michelle McWHO!? Seriously, I have never heard of her. Hmmm says she was part of the 2004 Diva search, no wonder I have no idea who she is, I always used those segment as piss breaks. Anyway, she comes out to no crowd reaction what so ever, although to be fair I think it might be a fault with the game and not the fact that these people don't know who she is. She comes down with a big smile and shakes her thang for all the world to see. Although I don't know who she is, the detail on her is pretty incredible. She gets in the ring and just waves at people.

Video 2 - Fight time part I

Right, it's Michelle vs Torrie in this one. I passed a naked bloke the other day in Newcastle, carrying a woman on his back so I stopped him and asked what he was doing. He said he was on his way to a fancy dress party. I was really confussed so I asked him what he was going as. A turtle, he replied. I was still confussed so I asked him about the woman on his back. He replied "Thats Me shell".

Michelle punches Torrie before giving her a series of knee's to the gut. She then takes Torrie down with a dragon leg sweep. When Torrie gets up she gets a dropkick in the face. Torrie starts to fight back with some reversals and a back body drop. Michelle gets up and gives Torrie a hard Irish whip into the turnbuckle before kicking her in the face.

Video 3 - The end

Michelle reverses a sunset flip before kicking Torrie in the face ala Rey Mysterio. Michelle picks up Torrie and gives her a huge powerbomb finisher and pins her for 3. Michelle celebrates the victory by jumping around, waving and blowing kisses to the crowd.

Generally the loading times of the same game, are faster on a Gamecube. But there still are loading times for games, I'm playing through Killer7 at the moment (on the GC), and there's a lot of loading in that.

Only game I can think of console wise that has no loading times is Dead Or Alive Ultimate on the Xbox, but even that preloads things into the cache (but not every time you turn it on).

I was quite gutted when I heard Xbox 360 won't have a HD as standard when I heard, as I was hoping it'd store things on it and reduce loading times greatly.

Video 1 - Enterance

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH CHAVO! I am so glad he is in this game. I don't see myself using him much, but at least his horrible new gimmick isn't here. We first see a loading screen of Trish, looking very hot. I must say, that is one whicked Mexican moustache Chavo's got there :cool: Chavo comes out struting his stuff, although no crowd reaction. Chavo continues to walk down to the ring, and does his kneeling taunt when he finally gets in there. Detail is great, I think we may be saying that alot during this countdown.

Video 2 - Fight time part I

Chavo vs Tajiri gets off to a flying start as Chavo knocks Tajiri for six with a huge running clothesline. He picks up Tajiri and clobbers him with a couple of punches before dropping him with a neckbreaker. lol, a Chavo sucks chant starts up. Chavo doesn't take well to this a pounds away before taking Tajiri down with an armdrag.

Video 3 - The end

Tajiri is fighting back with some kicks but Chavo reverses into a russian leg sweep. Chavo picks up Tajiri and goes to hit the Gory Bomb, to which the crowd boo the fuck out. The screen turns black and white to add to the drama of the finishing move. That could get anoying I think. Chavo pins Tajiri for 3.

HEY! HEY NOTHING YOU CAN SAY, NOTHING GONNA CHANGE WHAT YOU DONE TO ME! Orton comes out and poses at the top of the ramp and the pyro goes off. Orton walks down to the ring continuing to pose. Christ, the detail is reaching insane levels. Orton hops onto the apron and climbs in the ring. he then goes and poses on the turnbuckle. The lighting effects on this enterance are incredible.

Video 2 - Fight Time Part I

It's Orton vs Taker and Orton gets the first shot in with a flying forearm. Orton then slams Taker down with a nasty shoulder breaker. Orton tricks Taker into a test of strength but blasts him with a belly to belly suplex. Taker's body is in yellow now. Orton nails a gutbuster, Taker body is now in orange, must be on easy level. BTW the commentry is great.

Video 3 - The End

Orton nails Taker with a side suplex/back body drop thing. Orton then taunts Taker, signalling he's about to hit the RKO, but then Undertaker punches him in the mouth. Orton punches Taker and then hits the RKO. Taker is out for the count after just 2 minutes 52. Orton climbs the turnbuckle and taunts.

Despite the dated roster (which, as mentioned before, is still worlds better than last year's addition), I can't wait for this game. Should be fantastic. Probably going to trade in last year's SVR for cash toward this one, which will be the first time I've ever done that with a game. Last year's game just doesn't have the replay value that past editions had, imo.

Wow, I can't believe it. I have finally found someone on this roster who I don't want on here MORE than the divas. Yes, I don't give a flying fuck about Scotty 2 Hotty. Never have, never will. Christ, when was the last time he was on tv? Anyway, Scotty comes out looking like a gimp, trying to dance his way down to the ring. What happened to his hat? Poor Scotty, he is trying his best yet nobody likes him. He gets in the ring and bounces around looking gay. Lighting is ok though.

Video 2 - Fight Time Part I

Wooooo, it's Scotty vs Katrina, whoops I ment Hurricane (abit of tropical humor there for you folks....oops, done it again!) Match already is 50 seconds in as Scotty reverses a punch into an ARMBAR! Nice flowing annimation there. We see the submission bar come up, it's changed slightly from last year. This year we have got a green vertical line that we have to stop in between two blue parralelle (whatever) lines. Hurricane manages to stop it in escape and he gets out. Hurricane reverses but Scotty reverses again and nails Hurricane with a straight kick to the jaw. Scotty then smacks Hurricane with a one man flapjack and then hits a ddt after many reversals.

HOLY SHIT, HURRICANE IS BUSTED WIDE OPEN! Sick, Hurricane is dripping blood all over the canvas, this is GAB when Eddie bladed wrong. Meh, the blood on the mat disappears after awhile. Although Hurricane is constantly oozing. WAIT! Scotty has Hurricane on the ground and hits the W-O-R-M, lol Tazz called MC girlpants, looks like Tazz watches The Cramp Twins. He then picks up Hurricane and gives him his DDT finisher, screen goes B+W for this, it looks really good, shame the move is actually pretty crappy. HURRICANE PUNCHES SCOTTY IN THE BALLS! Great reversal there, simply because Hurricane was getting pwn'd by Scotty. Hurricane is is bleeding really badly. Scotty delivers a shoulder block and pins for a close two count, which brings up a cool blurry kickout motion and goes to Scotty who cant believe it was two.

Wow, I can't believe it. I have finally found someone on this roster who I don't want on here MORE than the divas. Yes, I don't give a flying fuck about Scotty 2 Hotty. Never have, never will. Christ, when was the last time he was on tv? Anyway, Scotty comes out looking like a gimp, trying to dance his way down to the ring. What happened to his hat? Poor Scotty, he is trying his best yet nobody likes him. He gets in the ring and bounces around looking gay. Lighting is ok though.

I think Scotty is great, I have always liked him, ever since I first saw him.

Okay, you guys are missing the point. The Divas are already in the game. It's done. But I've still seen some guys bitching that a Diva was next in the coutndown, and there is no point in complaining about that. Would you rather have the Divas at the end? I say save the best for last. Get all the Scotty 2 Hotty's and the Mark Jindraks and the Divas out first. THEN, hit us with the Triple H's and the Randy Ortons and the Legends. "BLARG!! UUUhhh EVERY TLC match and a few ladder matches have used them. They're so fucking cool, they are in the raw series for xbox and when you're on the top and it gets tipped over you fall so far out of the ring and also you can climb the 30 foot ladder set up on the outside and do an ariel move on a guy that's inside the ring.

I think that the n00bs on the IGN Smackdown boards live there, you get 100 posts a minutes asking "whens the countdown? who's tonights superstar? where's the countdown? who do you think is tonights superstar?" it gets really annoying. Then you have the UBER-N00BS who bump the previous days superstar, or even earlier like friday with what that *********** GoW_KrOwS(or what ever his name was) did, not only The Undertaker, but he bumped every single thread that Jeremy Dunham posted for SvR 2006

My Thumb Tack System:


First of all you must reach under the ring and you grab the bag.

You can press a square while the bag is in your hand to spill out the tacks anywhere you want.

Then you have to irish whip your oppenent towards the tacks.

Your opponent will then be groggy and reeling in front of the tacks (similar to when you whip your opponent towards the edge of the roof of the hell in a cell).

When your opponent is in this state you must do your move.

While your opponent is in this state, by pressing a directional button and circle there are 4 different moves you can do to your opponent to slam him into the tacks.

A lot of tacks will then stay on your opponents back and the remainging tacks on the ground will be useless. Your opponent will have tacks on his back (with blood) for the rest of the match.



This would be so good and as you can see it's not complicated at all. What are your thoughts? Also I would be happy to answer any questions about the system.

The groggy thing would look ridiculous. They just need a decent contact system. That way you could use tables like they should be instead of having to roll the opponent on top first.

It would be ideal if they had a physics engine, not an over the top type but at least some character bones. They already have the limb detection, all they need to do is work with that. That way you could cut down on animations and put in more or even finish the rosters off. You make enough animations to carry off the animations and use the physics engine to have the other wrestler take the move.

Then if they have an area of effect on the wrestlers, like from the knees to the armpits, if any part of that area hits the objects, the object breaks or performs the task it's suppose to. If it below the knees or above the shoulders, have animations that react accordingly.

So say you suplex someone onto a table, if they hit in the area, it breaks. If they are too far away and only the feet hit, the table doesn't break and acts as a solid object causing the legs to pull towards the chest. If they end up going to far, probably not possible with a suplex but if they released I guess, and hit above the shoulders, the head would bend towards the chest.

Try naming moves where a physics reaction wouldn't look better or work, just to see if this is possible.

Hate to nitpick, but the Brain Damage is a double armed Chokeslam, much like A-Train's old finisher. That is, unless he's changed it for a more dangerous move since coming to the WWE. I can completely see how that could happen. ;)

OH YES, ANOTHER DIVA! :roll: Slut's music starts and she comes out. She walks down to the ring and for some reason keeps throwing up Devil Horns to the crowd. She eventually tires of this and runs down to the ring and slides in. She climbs the turnbuckle and throws up more Horns. She then moves across to the oposite turnbuckle and does the same. Fucking slut.

Video 2 - Fight time

It's Slut vs Michelle McWHO!? What a dream match here folks. Slut dropkicks Michelle and lands some punches to her back. Slut then applies the sleeper to her. JR has a hissy fit at no one by saying "DO YOU WANT ME TO CALL THIS MATCH OR NOT!?" Can you guess what my reply was? Slut drops Michelle with a jawbreaker before going for a neckbreaker, which Michelle nicely reverses. Fucking slut.

Video 3 - The End

Slut smashes Michelle in the face with a running dropkick before leveling her with a DDT, the one which is her finisher. Slut then climbs the turnbuckle and performs a moonsault for the three count. Slut celebrates her victory by blowing kisses to the crowd. What a fucking slut.

Video 1 - The Enterance

I'LL SHOW YOU, YOU'LL SEE! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS It's Stevie Richards in a wrestling game :love: Although it's not BWO Stevie, it's better than nothing. Stevie comes out sporting some lovely white shorts with SR on them. The detail is amazing, it looks like what Stevie would look like if he was looking in a computerised mirror. Stevie powerwalks his way down to the ring and pauses for what looks like a prayer. Stevie climbs in and does his one handed salute on the turnbuckle.

Video 2 - Fight Time

It's Stevie vs Chavo and we are a minute in. Stevie delivers three knee's to Chavo's gut and then stamps on his face. He then levels him with a headbut and then taunts Chavo. Pretty short one here.

Video 3 - The End

Chavo is fighting back and rakes the eyes of Stevie. Stevie replies with his Double Arm DDT which sends Lillian into a introducing fit. Stevie recovers some stamina and then blasts Chavo with the Stevie Kick which busts Chavo open. Stevie pins Chavo for the three. We see a 1P Challange Completed sign come up informing us that the Perferom 3 finishers challange has been done. The ref raises Stevie's hand but he snatches it away and goes off celebrating by himself.
