Hard to say really since I haven't played SvR for about 2 months, so it's hard to compare, but it does seem nice and "fresh". The inclusion of the Stamina bar really makes a difference to gameplay, so what ever you do, DONT TURN THIS WONDERFULL FEATURE OFF!

Anyways, I'm pieceing my CAWs in the back of my mind right now. I'm just hoping one of the voices sounds like Mr. Showtime.
Anyone recall the old N64 WWF (as it was known back then) games? There was one before WM2000 where you could give your wrestlers voices. Of all the CAWs I've ever made Mr. Showtime, who then turned into Lance Silver, is the only CAW that I've made in every single wrestling game (and for a short snit in City of Heroes).

Played the game and for some reason theres no music during a match and when I'm having a bar brawl or a backstage brawl theres no "staff" backstage like in screen shots and no music or comentating backstage at all. I was doing a scoop slam to hogan and JR said something about a submission and how I may tap out any time now. and when I was irish whipped as Masters I just slide across the room without moving my legs and even got stuck in the scenery at one point :wtf: I'm going to talk to gameplay and see if this is right or if I have a faulty copy :nono:

So, does it come out Monday or Tuesday? Whichever day it is, I'm hitting Blockbuster as it opens, then holding on to it past the due date until the day before I have to buy it, then renewing it for another two weeks... That should almost hold me until I get the game for Christmas.

My life is sad...

If all goes right, it should be available Monday in the US. Hopefully my local store won't fuck up and release it Tuesday (which would mean I'd have to skip Wednesday so I can have a full day of playing)....especially since I've already told all my friends I'd be skipping Tuesday :o

People on the roads had better watch out on Monday....I plan on driving home as fast as possible once the 2:00 school dismissal bell rings so I can get my h/w done and then have the rest of the night and the whole next day to play it :cool:

If I'm right on both counts, I might do a season as The Hurricane, with the shining wizard and the Vertabreaker.

Yeah, I was gonna do a Hurricane season once I realized Eugene wouldn't be available for season....

......but then I found out that Smackdown guys actually start on SD in season (I had been under the impression that EVERYONE started with that same Raw storyline) and so I have decided to use JBL :cool:

CAW SPOILERS

I tried CAW today and it's really cool, there is some new stuff like hair styles shirts and stuff, but you also get to pick your eyelashes and the size of your nostrils.

But you gotta be carefull when creating a CAW, because you don't press triangle to get off of what you're doing, you press L1 and R1 to go from one thing to another, but out off habit, I pressed triangle and I long everything, so I had to start from scratch.:'(

Create an entrance is great too, but it's also hard.:-\

But overall it's a great game.:D:y:

Well you have the Camera Angle from SmackDown! VS RAW and when you pass the lights on the ramp, it's turns around and it's like all the other SmackDown! Games camera angle.

Cool King, is Create a Move there? How is that?

What's GM mode like? Like, do you build up matches and then have a payoff match at a PPV or something? (I'm gonna have a blast with this mode I think :y: )

Create an Entrance, can you pick pyros, lighting and your moves and all that good stuff?

Create a Move isn't there, but there is Create a MoveSET, if that's what you're talking about.

But GM Mode is brilliant, it's better if you play it with a friend, but you can pick matches and what type they are and who are in them, you can pick if that match starts a feud or not, then you can pic a promo segment, like promo about a superstar or spread rumors about the other brand.

Create an Entrance is great, it's hard and confusing at first but it's really easy when you get use to it. Yes, you get to pick pyros and lighting. There is 4 parts, Entrance, Ramp Walk, Ring Enter and In Ring. You get to pick the lighting, screen effect and more for each part, and you even get to choose when your name pops up.:D

So overall it's the greatest WWE Game of all time....until the next one comes along.

I've enjoyed the game so far.
I was playing online all night but got my ass kicked every time. I created a belt, brought it online and lost it in my first match. It was a 40 minute epic between me as Kurt Angle and some guy as Eddie Gurrero. His belt and mine were both up for grabs, he walked away with both of them.

I haven't tried GM mode however I have started a season with RVD. I've gone on a legends tour where I faced some of the legend wrestlers.

There are some faults with the game I think. It's as if it's still not the final build. For example when you do a move on the ramp or slam someone onto the ramp there is no sound. Also when you whip someone into the glass in the elimination chamber there is also no sound.
Anyone else experienced these problems?

Yeah my game is kinda bad too, like some of the music doesn't play, I go through the scenery, sometimes the wrestlers pop out of nowhere and the trons stick.:-\

I think we got a faulty batch or something, or we all have the demo version, like the version IGN would get.

I haven't tried The Elimination Chamber yet but I will try it later today.

No BGM in matches

My gliches: Titantrons freeze sometimes.
No BGM.
Characters go through the scenery.
Characters pop out of nowhere.
Characters slide across the ring on one foot when Irish Whipped.
Can't push over ladders, when I try I suddenly appear somewhere else in the ring.
Can't play possum.
CPU is INSANELY stupid in different matches.
Reversal button hardly works.

I think that's it, but if I find more, I'll post them.

Oh and is it just my copy or do you guys sometimes hear some guy in the crowd shout like a pirate, it's only on the entrances but I always hear someone saying "AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!":wtf:

IGN posted 7 videos of season mode. I watched one of them, won't give anything away, but its with Austin, Vince, and Bischoff. It is so cool because it is actually like a real segment with no subtitles and they actually talk with character. It was 3 minutes long as well. I'm trying not to look at the other 6 videos cause I don't wanna ruin anything.

Right, the problems I have seen so far are:

- No BGM
- Gliding during irish whips
- jerky camera actions during season mode
- Cant push the ladder, although I done it once when two guys where on it instead of just one
- Haven't done a possum yet, although I know I nailed it because I lost my finisher :mad:

I think I'm gonna go down to HMV and exchange my copy for a new one and see if it's still a problem. Can't be arsed waiting 14 to get it to Gameplay and back.

See I don't think there's supposed to be BGM in the matches, there's no option for the volume in the menu any more (I remember there being a specific option just for in game before) and also it's supposed to be WWE style presentation, how often do they play music during matches?

Oh fucking hell......

Yesterday morning/afternoon, I was playing PS2 at my house on my TV, and it worked fine.

Yesterday evening, I was playing at my dad's house on a TV over there (which usually works fine), but after awhile the picture got all dark and it became impossible to tell what was going on (yet when I brought up a color-adjusting menu or turned to a normal channel, the TV was fine.....also, the picture got really blurry at the top and bottom

And today the same thing happened

So basically, either my PS2 is fucked completely, or it just isn't working on this TV anymore for some reason

I swear, if I get home tomorrow and this same shit happens, I'm gonna fucking kill something

If (IF) I'm not mistaken, there's a branch of THQ for each version (PAL and NTSC).

Also, Jeremy Dunham from IGN has sent a PM out saying that he has seen NONE of the PAL glitches in the NTSC version. It remains to be seen how well it plays out in the US/Canada, as the only glitch I've heard him mention in the NTSC version is some kind of teleporting glitch that happens once in a blue moon.

For those of you who already HAVE it, are the glitches bad enough to affect gameplay, or are they just a minor pain in the ass?

It had this really weird quirk in the first editions of the game where it would erase all of someone's data for no reason at all. There was like a mass recall of them after the bug was found.

I have a feeling when they had the finished copy to burn off and produce and ship out to stores, they accidently burned off some early build and now we have the glitchy weird unfinished version. Since things are missing from the game and these glitches everything it would make sense.

Also I hear the pirate aswell. Whenever a heel makes his way to the ring theres a loud "ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGHHHHH!"

And lol at the Americans acting like they wouldn't stand for the glitches, like its some kind of holy law to not have a glitchy game but at the same time telling us to quit complaining cos its no big deal.More hypocricey from america! :p :shifty: (I know I spelt the wrong).Just kidding btw.

Well theres not much point in doing that when it seems the entire batch is glitched. :-\
I will be sending my copy back for a new one but I expect that will have glitches to.If it does then I can only assume that THQ would need to re-release the game and I'd expect to get it in place of my glitchy one at no extra cost or at least not at full price.

whip them into the lower left turnbuckle and them do a directional grapple. This with make you preform a superplex then a mini game kicks in where you both crawl. it works like the climbing of the cage. The fuller the bar is when you stop it the further you cral and then so forth.

When you guys say "can't push the ladder", do you mean you can't walk into it and move it around the ring, or physically can NOT push the ladder over and knock someone off?

If it's the second one, that sucks shit.

But I'm still curious. Are these glitches affecting the gameplay horribly, or are they just minor inconveniences?

And NTSC is just the American version (of a DVD), while PAL is the European version. The NTSC version will not come out in Europe, unless it's a pirated (AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!) copy or a rip from a torrent file.

Got it on Friday. The only glitches I seem to have are the ice-skating across the ring, but that's about it, doesn't really bother me. Really into season mode at the moment, some great stuff in there :D . Going to check out online later probably, might catch some of you on there.
