Hello Nick and thank you for contacting us - yes, it does seem as if your game disc is not being scanned correctly. Usually for quickness it's best to return your game disc to the shop and I think your disc may well be damaged but I should suggest perhaps trying the game in a different PS2 just to kill off the possibility that your PS2 is not having problems scanning a disc that's not damaged. Very remote possibility I agree, particularly if your other games are playing fine but it's just to separate out if it is the game disc that is not working rather than the PS2 itself. Hoping this helps. Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this is causing you.

I doubt you'll need to buy a new copy if you keep your receipt or proof of where you bought the game. I'm sure once you hear they have re-released it without the glitches you can go to where ever you bought the game origonally and tell them you have a glitched version and you want to trade it in for an unglitched version. I'm sure they would do it no problem.

Most are minor but it seems that possum,the new sleeper system and not knoxking landers over may be a problem for some. Plus finishers randomly dissapperar for me sometimes. Other than that nothing TOO major but I'm still going to try and get one that works 100%

other than that no complaints, i've only played one match and the graphics are amazing, gameplay is awesome. stamina isn't terrible like it was on gamecube, it's a great feature.

the momentum meter will take getting used to, personally i liked the old 3 finisher system better, but this is easy to get used to.

also, online isn't up yet for us it seems, going to have to wait

Right, it seems that you CANT lose the Rumble. So far through the four seasons I've done, I won the Rumble, so decided the throw it to see what other storyline I got going to Mania. But, it turns out that if you get eliminated, Vince McMahon comes out and says the winner cheated by switching his entry number and demands a restart with 6 guys. If you then lose that, you get the choice of a rematch of the six guys or exit. I went to exit and season mode just ended. Complete bullshit if you ask me.

I also really hate the way you can only win the title at Wrestlemania.

I never rent, I always buy. If I buy a game and it sucks I usually take it back and exchangher it for another game but if the take back period is finished then I hold onto it and then when a game I like comes out I use it to trade in.

Guys, even if you lose your receipts when it comes time to get your new copy of your game, just do this: go to your local video rental store, rent SVR 2006 and see if it's a non-glitch copy. If it is, then swap your copy inside and return it a few days later. :D

Okay, this is what I've gathered.

You don't need Jake to beat the challenges.

Beating the first set gets you the ECW arena, the second gets you the WM 9 arena. I believe the blue cage becomes unlocked after either doing the third set, or unlocking the WM 9 arena.

The blue steel cage is indeed in the game, as there is picture proof of it at IGN. It's there somewhere, trust me. :)

Also, I was right about Monday being the ship date. EBGames still hasn't called me. I think I'm just going to ignore the fact that I pre-ordered it from them and just buy it somewhere else. Did anyone else pre-order it from the EBGames web site and set it for in-store pickup? If so, have they called you yet? I just want to know if they forgot about me or not. :(

Anyway, besides that, I found no glitches and it plays VERY realistically.

It is AWESOME! I just played a single one on one. I was Eddie (RIP) and I did a random pick for the CPU, it turned out to be Chavo. The gameplay is a MAJOR step up from last year and is just like No Mercy on how they slowed it down, but its better that way because its more realistic. The stanima meter is awesome. I mean I was more than halfway full, I went for a missle dropkick, missed, and it drained less than halfway. FUN!

The only "Glitch" I see is that there is no background music. It doesn't bother me too much, but it would be nice to have. Gonna take tommorow off of school to play the game-ah!

GM mode is tough at first. Gotta get used to that. They added it last minute I believe, hopefully next year they'll make it alot better. Like I don't think you can pick who wins, or I didn't see it, I just rushed through it to see how it is. Love how you can pick the champions.

Just did a match with Eugene against Snitsky. After 9 minutes I hit the Stunner and we both ran out of stamina and we both were knocked down for the 10 count :love:

It seems all the females can do in the ways of gimmick matches is the wack FYF match. No Cage, No Ladder, Nothing... I could live without the First Blood matches, but ALL of the gimmick matches (except Ironman and Submission)? PB&J!

My only major gripes with the game are it's hard as hell to hit ariel finishers (Eddie or RVD's frogsplash), and the fact that the ref seems to constantly get in the way and get hit, causing DQs (Computer and mine). Worst case scenario, I can turn off DQ, but I'd like to leave it on.

Also, it sucks that all finishers don't have the slowdown (Like Edge's spear doesn't have it).... Also, Edge seems really supercharged, like they sped up his entrance and his spear...

Was playing a ladder match last night (TWO LADDERS!) against Paul London, I was Hurricane. I superplexed London off the ladder, he got up before me and won. All the matches are very realistic, like I haven't played a match under 5 minutes yet on NORMAL. On the other games I would kill the comp in 2 on normal. Maybe I just need to get used to it.

Few minor things wrong with it that I can't think of off the top of my head. Like I was playing around with create and entrance and I was a little sad that you can't create a taunt or anything, but they have a large list of moves and freaking camera angles and lighting and all that good cheeseburger stuff.

For the person talking about HHH No-Selling 4 RKO's... Make sure you're momentum meter is full when you do the RKO's and it probably wouldn't hurt to have as much stamina as possible.

I was hoping they'd change that, and the fact that the Sharpshooter damages the legs and not the back. But, neither is changed.

First of all, the Sharpshooter in real life affects the back more than the legs. They SHOULD have made it also affect the legs, though.

Second of all you can knock the stairs out. I've done it plenty of times. If you do a normal whip they run into shoulder-first and if you do a strong whip they go OVER it knees-first. You just have to line it up perfectly (you have to hit about the middle of the stairs).

The weight system is awesome: to choose a weight class, you must choose an actual weight number. It appears that (roughly!!) 100-140 is Diva, 140-200 is Cruiserweight, 200-240 is Light Heavyweight, 240-280 is Heavyweight, and 280-400 is Super Heavyweight. Pretty neat. And YES I know those numbers are way off, but I'm at work and can't check it right now.

I wanted to get the reverse the possum thing over and done with so I went to the options to take off the time limit on matches, go have the match me being hassan and the comp hogan. After 19 minutes the comp finally does a possum pin and I kick out. Does the you finish a challenge screen come up? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Apparently you can't touch any of the options to do the challenges.

I just got this, and for my first match, I played as Dupree/Conway and defended the WTT against Spike and Jindrak.

I could focus onto every other player, ASIDE from the illegal opponent. I'd try to hit a finisher and knock the illegal opponent off of the ring apron, but the arrow would never face him. I had to RUN at him, do a knee lift that was meant for the legal opponent by pushing right and X, and then try to make the cover. Is it impossible to target the inactive opponent?

The only reason I won that match is because when the referee was counting, Spike Dudley's elbows were missing completely. He was in the ring trying to attack me like hell though.

Hold the R1 button. Thats what I do and it selects the target closest to me or in the options select the option to take off the auto targeting so you can press R1 and it rotates threw the different wrestlers.

Holy shit, this game rules! Played a couple of exhibition matches earlier, now I've started my GM mode. I got 16 of the 20 guys I said I wanted earlier. Damn RAW took RVD, Chavo, Cena, and Orton from me. I got Edge, Hassan, Jordan, and Danny Basham in their place. Simming my first match, and the AI is so good. It really looks like I'm watching SmackDown. It's Paul London vs. Charlie Haas vs. Tajiri. Doing three triple threat matches on the first show, then the three winners will battle for the Cruiserweight Title next week. Match has already gone 10:30. Main event is Angle vs. Michaels vs. Benoit vs. Guerrero in a ladder match for the World Title. Fantastic fantastic game.

every wrestler is so small and the game has so much wasted space outside of 1 on 1 matches with the side view. this wasn't as bad when the camera was behind the ring rather than to the side

I was playing as Jericho fighting Taker earlier, and it took me 35 minutes to win with that system, despite the fact that everything was red but his arms. When it got to three, he would always somehow manage to escape it. Somehow I magically did it at the end. Anyone know anything about how that system works? It didn't tell ME to press X, but it told the CPU controlled Undertaker to hit X to escape.

The only real "glitch" I found was the stats for getting your created wrestlers maxed. Not really a glitch but does seem to be some sort of accidental loophole.
