i've got all the legends...
i did smackdown on hard and raw on normal and got all the ppv's,
stuck on the legend challenges thou, how the hell do you beat mick foley, mankind and cactus by using mankind :(.
also i gathered 80k exp in season using randy orton, when i completed it i tried to use them but i couldn't... so you need to complete it using a caw...
if you want i will come online and trade you my 99 caw so you can just edit him...

I went through season with my CAW and got Summerslam everytime.

Only need to unlock the GM Mode trophy and then I've done it all apart from the online achievements.

Speaking of online, I found out something more annoying than button mashers and move spammers....QUITERS! :mad: Should have won at least 6 more matches than I have if people didn't be fucking dicks and quit, so I neg rep their ass :foc:

Had an awesome elimination tag match online though. I was Batista and my partner was RVD, we went against Edge and Triple H. My partner got pinned after about five minutes and left me to fend for myself. Got my ass handed to me but managed to turned it around. We were all in red and I clotheslined HHH and speared Edge and pinned him, then I went back to Triple H and Batista BOMBED!!!! him for the three, I was really chuffed :D

I've built my CAW up from 38 on season. Just vary your moves from striking, quick grapples, and running grapples/ strikes, until you get a finisher. Then try to lay on a couple of heavy grapples, then hit your finisher.

Rinse and repeat

I guess it sorta makes sense, but I'm used to taking different wrestlers through Season Mode and then using their experience to build up my CAW. I usually stay realistic with mine, so I keep it at like 94 or so.

This is something else I mentioned about improvements to be made to the series.

Last year you had a few Raws then a PPV but not all of the PPVs. Bullshit.

As I said earlier I started a season on Raw with HBK (on 07 I mean) I had 4 weeks of Raw, no PPV, turned down the title shot and went straight on to WrestleMania!! Surely that's not normal!

This game is gonna last me a looooooooooong time. I unlocked everything and played season mode through twice in the first week last year. Now I'm working (out of the house from 8:45am til 9:30pm everday) I've hardly had chance to play.

Oh well, value for money I guess.

Which controller setup you using?

If its the analogue one it's pretty simple...

Just do any strong grapple and move towards the hotspot, should start automatically. So grap and go to corner/middle of ropes/announce table/ring barrier/steel steps/ring post/centre of ring apron.

On another note...what table specials are there?

I've done chokeslams with Taker and Big Show, a DDT with someone else and I've seen a pedigree through one too.

There are enviroment moves that can KO people, plus at least two enviroment finishers, just so you know. My favorite is the big boot through the window. That is pretty badass.

I'm still undecided on the game. Yes, it's fun and I enjoy the environmental grapples and some of the new features, but take all that out and I'll much rather be playing 06.

The game is definitely enjoyable. The commentary can be annoying, but that doesn't bother me much. THe game looks good, the interactive stuff and new grapple system is fun. They could have added more moves, or removed less, and parts of the CAW bother me (coloring issues in the PS2 version make it impossible to have a good short sleeve black shirt without adding stuff to it, etc.)

It's fun but if you're thinking of making a CAW like Samoa Joe, be prepared to be very limited in what you can do.

A chairshot is called a Stone COld stunner, the tag intros are messed up Lillian's voice for but Tony CHimmel in ring duing joint brand PPVs, JR and and King commentary but SD ref as well.

Tons of really stupid things that should not be there.

Well, for one thing, the fact that you're limited to two types of move types and even then, you're only allowed to use certain types for certain builds. I hate to use Samoa Joe as an example, but it's the best one I can think of.

In 06, Joe was either a superheavyweight or a heavyweight, depending on if whether you wanted his realistic weight or if you wanted your lighter CAWs (i.e. AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels) to lift him. Now with that in mind, most people I know made him using three move types (Power, Speed and Technical). With 07, if you make him as a heavyweight, say goodbye to his athletic side because you're restricted to power, tech, old school and brawler. If you make him realistic and make him a SHW, well, you're stuck with power, brawling and old-school. I'm not even going into the mass-reduction in moves.

I realise that this may or does make me sound like a whining cunt, but damnit, it just feels like a step down from the previous CAW system and that was a very large part of the game for me.

You know, I normally avoid GM mode, because I'm clueless as to what I"m really doing...I stumble around, making the same matches week and after week. I'm fucking clueless.

That having been said, it's retarded that you can create a female CAW, but because she can't be used in Season Mode, you're screwed in adding anything to her attributes unless you get Unlimited Exp Points via GM trophy. It's goddamn ridiculous, that feature. What's the point in using anybody else in Season Mode besides the money?

Anyway...in Season MOde, as my CAW (with a 45 overall at that point), I beat Kurt Angle in an Ultimate Submission match. You can't exit the ring, and it's like an Iron Man match with submission-only wins. I was LOVING IT. It was on Easy Mode, granted, but certain matches are tough as HELL on Easy mode. I was in a Parking Lot Brawl against Kane one time, as the Boogeyman, and I got my ass handed to me on Easy mode.

I didn't know whether to be pissed that it wasn't as easy as it used to be, or grateful that it was challenging and realistic as far as who you faced (Kurt and Kane are tougher to beat than, say, Paul Burchill or Trevor Murdoch...the attributes actually mean something in all difficulty modes).

I'm afraid to see what the game is like in Legend mode. Although I might use Kurt in Season Mode under Legend mode and simulate all the matches (and hopefully win them all), just so I can get lots of money and purchase everything.

Not only that, but the voices you get to choose from for your CAWs? The preview is them yelling, which does NOT help me one bit in choosing the right voice... when I heard my CAW speak that one line, it sounded way off and not what I expected from the sample.

That, coupled with the experience points only being valid for the character you used in Season Mode (thereby making exp points from original superstars useless, and experience points for female CAWs nonexistent), pisses me off.

you get more EXP points by using them in GM mode... like if you actually wrestle the matches rather than sim them... that's how you can beef up the Divas points... or CAWs if you feel like it I suppose

3. The whole cruiserweights and heavyweights is messed up, play Matt Hardy vs Helms for a laugh. Helms cant lift hardy up at all. Its just gay.

4. They have tried to hard with GM mode. Rivarlies just dissapear without notice, it will give you a list on contenders for the WWE / Heavyweight title, you pick one of them, and then it tells you that they arent a contender?!?

Like i said, the game is ok, and better than last years, but not by much. Anyone else have any of these probs?

the GM mode is boss... way better than 06... as is the Season Mode... the Create-an-entrance is way better as well, the roster is fucking huge.

I'm not big on the new grapple system, but if you go and change the controls to "D" it is the same as 06...

If you're not sold on buying it, at least rent it and judge for yourself... Arena ceilings and Commentary don't make a good wrestling game man

Okay, I'll try and add some postivity to this. There's some good music to listen to on there, the new environmental grapples are fun, table and ladder matches are much more fun now due to the changes in winning them, the load times are honestly not that bad, you've got a more updated roster, it's fun customizing your own entrance... that's all I can think of for now.

I'm sorry if people got the impression that I hated this game, because I don't. I'm very disappointed with certain things in '07, but I'm not saying you should avoid this game at all costs. Go out, rent it and see if it's your cup of tea. Personally, I will buy it eventually, but the game hasn't grabbed me that much that I need to own it now.

By the way, if you people are so pissed off with the EXP system, just take your CAW into Season mode, put it on Legend difficulty, plug in a second controller and select Multiplayer when you want to do a match. That way, you can just clothesline the dummy opponent to the ground and pin them for a easy 2400 points in about 10 seconds (minus loading time).

IN the end, I whip Booker into the corner and go for the Stinger splash, but he moves and I hit the corner. I stagger out, Booker goes for a spin kick, but I duck, and as he turns back around, nail the T-bone. he kicks out at 2.9 (I let him out). I hit the dragonwhip and go up top. I come off with a clothesline, but Booker kicks me in the gut on the way down and nails a scissor kick for the 3. It played out really well.

I did the roster achievements using Khali, he is pretty awesome for squashing people. I have beaten him a couple of times, in season mode twice (got him to tap out on one occasion) but in exhibition I just used a super heavyweight to throw him about.

Draft HBK and Shawn Michaels, the two most popular characters in the game, then end your draft so they are your only people on the roster.

Then, you turn injuries off and Card Re-Run on.

All you have to do from then on out is put them in insane high risk matches on every show and PPV.

I did it with Angle, Cena and Batista, just to mix it up with triple threat matches. Sign them to yearly contracts.

You got to turn off injuries, morale and put the card on re-run.

I put them in high risk/ratings wining matches, leave nothing vacant. Every couple of months I would change the card when the other show started to claw the ratings back. I ended the year with over 7 million viewers and with $35 million in the bank :cool:

Also, does anyone else find that if you change the appearance of your CAW, their moves revert back to their default settings? I've only had this problem with the powermoves.

I play MITB all the time because its just chaotic. One time I was Johnny Nitro and I set the ladder up like the staircase and ran up it and knocked Shelton Benjamin off it. WHAMMY!

Another time I was Johnny Nitro, same match, and I got superplexed off the ladder by someone else and I fell to the outside :yes:

And another time I was Johnny Nitro and I set the ladder up near the ropes, me and Benjamin were fighting and then Rey Mysterio pushed it over and we fell over the ropes to the outside.

And another time I was Joey Mercury and I pushed Perry Saturn off the ladder while eating a Mars bar. I then attempted to climb the ladder to the moon to retrieve the briefcase but I fell back down to Earth when I got shoved off by a created CAW named Abyss, then he gave me the black hole slam, then I got shooting star pressed by Rey Mysterio.

i've had the problem with the CAB once, it pissed me off so much! I think it helps if you don't put CAW's into the CAB match for some reason.

It was a forum just like our TPWW forum, it was mostly gray tones though, with some red and yellow text IIRC. It was dedicated solely to the Smackdown! games from HCTP to 2006 and featured hacks and codes discovered by the moderators of that forum.

Why is it that when HCTP came out it was so good and everyone stayed hooked on that for ages. SVR came out and the amount of time you were hyped about that one dwindled quicker than with HCTP, then comes '06 and less time happy with the game then we have '07. Not even a week has passed and I'm already bored with it.

This game is irritating beyond belief. Two times I lost belts. Twice because the stupid game would freeze up.

I had my belt created... 60,000+. I defended it successfully and the game was to return the belt back to the memory card... froze up so I lost the belt.

Second time I just created the belt, made it cheaper this time... 40 grand. We made it to the ring and inbetween loading times from that to the match it froze.

Custom belts blow on this game and the entrances... created entrances. I make them look good but it would look even better if my guy could come down with a belt. Instead there is only one part of the entrance he has the belt and that is when he walks up the steps and enters the ring.

GM mode blows cause the only way you can feud is with the shitty storylines that usually make no sense whatsoever.

Yeah I could go on and on about my dislikement of this game.

The money in the bank ladder match is glitched to fuck, you can be on top of the ladder reaching for the case with no one else on the ladder then suddenly the guy whos closest to the ladder appears on top beside you hitting you with a grapple move, he doesn't climb the fucking ladder or anything he just appears there in an instant. Andf wtf is it with 2 of you climbing a ladder, then all of a sudden you both fall off it for no reason then the ladder falls over? Its nothing to do with anyone pushing it over or stamina (had it turned off) just sometimes you both seem to randomly fall off it then when you do the ladder falls over for no reason. :wtf:

The "morphing to the top grapple" is a special. Anyone can do it if someone is on the ladder and a person on the ground, or on the ladder has a special saved.

I'm actually enjoying GM mode this year.

Last year it seemed like the opposing brand could put on any show and still beat you. This year seems a bit more even. I'm currently around 3,000,000 fans ahead of Raw.

In regards to the storylines in GM mode...they are pretty shitty. Half the time my superstars "Don't qualify for this storyline". The "No Respect" storyline pisses me off. I try to use that with Undertaker/HHH/HBK and it says it won't work. So I got Austin.

1. Go through it with the created wrestler.

2. Complete a season on Raw or Smackdown. - most preferred method because that should give you unlimited attributes for your created wrestlers.

Its me with yet another issue with what has to be the worst Smackdown Vs Raw game ever. Well as far as GM Mode goes.

Aight here is the deal. I'm doing GM Mode 2 players simply cause I don't want to battle with the computer but for fun I like to make the cards a bit "interesting" building up both shows on my own.

Now the problem starts when I finish an entire show for Raw and then I go to Smackdown. None of my matches that I do register at all. It's like I do a match on Smackdown, I win it, then when it gets back to the card itself it's showing up on the Raw card, I switch shows to SmackDown and the match looks like it never even took place.

Then the most recent happening, as in a minute ago. I had the card for both shows laid down. I decided to do SmackDown first and have CM Punk compete in his match and win of course. But his match on Smackdown didn't count. His match was number 3 on the card. And the matchup on Raw that was in the number 3 slot that I didn't even touch was done. And the person that was in the position that CM was in got the win and the other got the loss.

GM mode is completely gay on '07. I thought that these new updates and stuff would make it the most enjoyable that it could ever be but it's made it the worst. Last year's was better because you could actually have a feud that didn't require gay storylines to complete. And you could also put anyone in a feud on the other one. On this one only certain people can fit and even then it's gay cause once the storyline is done nothing happens.

My friends rented it and I have to honestly say that I'm severely disappointed with it. Yukes is still showing their laziness by using a lot of the same entrance animations, CAW materials and pieces, commentary bits, and total lack of alternative outfits. The grunts and groans are f*cking cartoonish, the grappling system is needlessly complex and annoying. Ladder matches and the like seem more like a chore than a good time. I'm sorry, I know a lot of people are digging this game and all but I have to give this one a BIG thumbs down.

I rented it for 2 weeks (PS2), and I liked it. I hated the loading times and shit and CAW is a mediocre. The appeal of the new controls and moves lasted a little while before I got bored. I hope 08 is better. I'd give it a 6/10.

The only thing I hate (360 controls) is the "back" button for secelcting opponents. The autoselect is retarded by default, and having to either reach across the control pad to hit it or take my thumb off the D-stick is really bad placement.

Anyway, if you don't like the control scheme, can't you simply opt to change it? I don't know if you've got the PS2 version, but the 360 version seems to have the option.

When you're in that are in the area in the top right fans will randomly show items including signs, crutches, umbrellas, and belts. Take them like you take any other weapon (it's escaping me right now, but it's either X or A).

Pretty much all my complaints in a nutshell. Except one.

Copied the ISO onto my computer, cut down some wavs, imported them in place of tracks in the game, saved the iso, and burned it to a new disc.

A few interesting points if anyone wants to swap music and can for the PS2 version.

The real songs in the game have some of the longest entrance run time (22.7mb). The regular entrance music is limited by how long the entrance itself is. Basically if someone's entrance is only 40 seconds, there music only runs for 40 seconds, and can only be replaced by a song that file size or under, so if you use it for a longer entrance, it'll cut out like the music does for some CAE.

Also, there are seperate entrance tracks for each song, one for faces, one for heels. So, if you wanted to, you could double the entrance music by having face and heel music. (I gave Trips King of Kings for his Heel music, Angle his percussion entrance off Anthology, RVD Walk, etc.)

I don't think there's a way to get up quickly... It's happened to me too. What it is for me is I'm pounding buttons, and hitting the button for the possum pin as well by mistake, and when the computer attacks, it treats it as a missed possum pin attempt and takes it away.
