WWE is sad to report that Chris Benoit and his family have been found dead in their home. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Tonight's Raw will be a tribute to Chris and his family.
I hope this is a work.

Death:On June 25, 2007, wwe.com announced shockingly that Benoit and his family were found in his home dead. No other details are known at this time.
Goodbye, old pal...he was another superstar who was way way way too young to die (40). Well, he will be happy to see his best friend Eddie Guerrero up there in Heaven. Not to mention, a lot of us are still getting over Sensational Sherri’s sudden passing. I don’t mean to be stupid, but maybe Vince should be taking this as a lesson, that death isn’t something you can put into the script of your life and fake it when it really happens, like a wrestling storyline. This just further goes to prove that we must live every day to the fullest, for we never know when it will be our turn to return to the ground, and life is way too short to be running around scared of dying. We might as well make good use of the time we get with friends and family in our earthly lives, because some of these people we will surely not see for quite some time after our/their passing.

I also get bad feelings about this. Three people don't just die, especially after a family emergeancy. I don't want to speculate, but I think we have all considered two of the possible scenarios. Let's hope it isn't so. Fuck, let's just hope this is all a work.

Other than saying that my thoughts go out to to his remaining family, I don't know what to say. I got the same feeling. I hope it isn't so. I feel like an ass speculating on how someone should die when taken too early, though, it was too damn early for all of them.
And it doesn't make sense for this to be an angle, Val. Now that I'm thinking a bit more clearly, I'm almost certain this isn't a work. It wouldn't make sense. The WWE are reporting Benoit was "found dead." You can't be "found dead" and then come back as a wrestler, all Undertaker jokes aside. If they've killed off Benoit, we'd never see him on WWE TV, again. The WWE haven't even fully come out and said Vince McMahon is dead, because it's something you can't really come back from. The WWE would be reporting Benoit in critical condition, or something, if it were a work.

This is just wrong. It shouldn't happen like this. Benoit was one of those guys that I expected to see sitting in the front row of RAW until he was in his nineties, and coming out on stage with a walking stick for special ceremonies.
As for other guys this must be really hurting, besides those who are known to be close to Benoit (Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, William Regal and Dean Malenko), you can't overlook MVP, who was a huge fan of Benoit, and even trained under the guy for a while.

Two words: fucked up.
R.I.P., "Crippler": one of the best pure in-ring performers, arguably THE best, of all time.
I'm not even sure what to say about this. Chris Benoit is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, and I've seen a good majority of his matches. Anyone who had read anything about him, or watched anything about him, knows what a great human being he was. The thought of this being a homicide is absolutely sickening. I'm absolutely in shock.
Rest in peace, Benoit family.
This is hitting me harder than Eddie's, and I hate to say that, but it's true. Forget about WWE works, forget about McMahon, forget about Vengence...this is an absolutely tragedy.
The man was an icon, inside and ourside of the ring. I'm not sure I could say anything else without rambling.
The man and his entire family. It's sickening, saddening, and horrific. I hope they find whoever did this, and find him quickly. He doesn't deserve another minute free.
Watching Edge's testimonial there was hard.
I just can't imagine how hurt so many people must be right now. Malenko, Regal, Kurt Angle, Jericho to name a few.
Just as I type that I can see JBL hurting as well.
I still really don't know how to respond to the news. Like many I turned Raw on expecting the McMahon angle and I saw the video of him winning at WM 20. Remembering hearing that he had flown home for a family emergency, I thought that maybe something had happened with his family and he had retired. Then that message "In Memory of Chris Benoit - 1967 - 2007" appeared and it took a moment to figure out what it meant.

This is really hard to believe, and it's not really sinking in yet. Benoit was one of the few wrestlers that kept me interested, along with Eddie, Jericho, and some others. When I first started watching wrestling, Benoit was one of the few people in WCW that I wanted to watch, and when he jumped ship with the Radicals, it was one of the biggest markout moments in wrestling for me. When he won the title at WM and celebrated with Eddie it was probably THE biggest markout moment in wrestling for me. He put on some of the best matches ever. His family too? it's insane. I'm not sure I want to know what happened. Somehow this doesn't feel real, even less real than with Eddie.
I will say that as crazy as Vince is, he's handled this really well. I was worried he wouldn't even be on the show and they would keep the death angle running.

Pro wrestler, family found dead in Fayetteville home
By Saeed Ahmed, Kathy Jefcoats
The Atlanta-Journal Constitution
Published on: 06/25/07
A well-known professional wrestler and his family were found dead inside their house in Fayette County Monday afternoon.
Authorities confirmed that Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their 7-year-old son, Daniel, were found dead at the home on Quarters and Redwine roads in Fayetteville about 4 p.m.
Officials were investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.
Benoit, a 40-year-old Canadian native maintained a home in metro Atlanta from the time he wrestled for the now-defunct World Championship Wrestling.
Most recently, Benoit fought as part of the World Wrestling Entertainment organization. WWE canceled its live show in Corpus Christi Monday night, and its broadcast of "Raw" on the USA Network was a three-hour retrospective on Benoit's career.
"Obviously, all sorts of speculation are running rampant but I have talked to so many people and nobody really knows [whether the couple was having marital troubles]," said Bryan Alvarez, who runs Figurefour Weekly, a wrestling newsletter and Web site, from Linwood, Washington.
Benoit was scheduled to appear in a pay-per-view title match Sunday night, but was a no-show due to a "family emergency," the WWE said during the broadcast.
Benoit's wife, Nancy, managed several wrestlers and went by the stage name, "Woman."
They met when her then-husband drew up a script that had them involved in a relationship as part of an ongoing storyline on World Championship Wrestling.
Soon after, the two became romantically involved in real life and married, Alvarez said.
Benoit has two other children from a prior relationship.

If anyone has a live feed for RAW, it would be appreciated.
I'm in the U.K. at the moment and don't even know where to find it on the television.

I find it chilling that when their is an active roster death. (Pillman, Owen, Eddie, Benoit) that it happens on Sunday or Monday.

i know certain types of mold can cause reactions like coughing up blood and so can the poison that termites emit from their bodies when they are in large amounts living in the wall of a home.
According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, this is now being treated as a "murder-suicide".
yea we may have another phill hartman, this will be sadder then eddies death

I did think of that earlier. However, nobody knows when the Benoits died, could have been Saturday. Just saying.
It always seems to be on the day of a PPV or TV taping.

I recommend every1 that dont own it to buy Benoits DVD. Wal-Mart has it for only 5-6 bucks now I believe. Its an incredible doc with some amazing matches on it. I am still stunned over this and it will take me quite a while to get over this and I will never forget Benoit.

wow this is how I heard of the news:
I was walking home from the liquor store, with some new shades on, drinking a beer, then my friend (who thinks wrestling is gay, and he makes fun of me for liking wrestling) texts me to call him. I call him and then he asks me if I knew a wrestler names Chris Veno. Obviously he meant 'Benoit' and I corrected him. He said he was shot dead
I was a bit buzzed walking home and I still can't believe this has happened
Then I go on the computer and found out that there were no gunshots and his wife and son are also dead. Wow. This is just as big as Owen's death because of the speculation and mystery
Biggest wrestling headline of 2007
RIP Chris Benoit :(

I hope to the higher power that it was a homicide and not a murder-suicide because that would mean that Benoit could've killed Nacy and his son.
And there is no way hell Benoit would do such a thing.

Chris Benoit was the wrestler that every wrestling fan liked. He could make anyone look like a million dollars. He was the bench mark that told you if the wrestler he was facing that night was any good or not. He could go hold for hold with the best of them. No, I'm not just saying that because he's no longer with us. I've been saying this for at least three years now.
Wathing Raw right now... He made JBL look like a great wrestler, he went hold for hold with Malenko, he made a rookie Burke look like a threat, and all in all one of the best mat wrestlers.
Rest in peace Chris, Nancy, and Daniel.... :wavesad:

. Tommy Pope told the Associated Press that it was being investigated as a homicide pending results of a preliminary autopsy report that will come out tomorrow. No gunshot or stab wounds were found, but they couldn't rule out poisoning, suffocation or strangulation. Pope said he was not confirming any of these potential causes, just not ruling them out.

Conflicting reports are going around right now. This one sent a shiver down my spine.
Pro wrestler Chris Benoit (http://javascript<b></b>:siteSearch('Chris Benoit');), his wife and 7-year-old son were found slain Monday at their Fayetteville home, authorities said.
Detective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being investigated as a murder-suicide, but said that could not be confirmed until the evidence was examined by a crime lab.
WAGA reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and son over the weekend, and then himself sometime Monday.
A concerned neighbor called police. The bodies were found in three different rooms.
The lead investigator, Sheriff's Lt. Tommy Pope, told The Associated Press that the deaths were being investigated as homicide, and said the cause of death awaited autopsy results on Tuesday.
Pope said the three were found about 2:30 p.m., but he would release no other details about the deaths at the house in a subdivision near White Water Country Club.
World Wrestling Entertainment said on its Web site that Benoit, 40, his wife, Nancy, and son, who was named Daniel, were found dead, but also had no other details.
From foxnews.com
According to ABC (http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/Story?id=3315501&page=1) "the instruments of death were located on scene," so I guess they have a general idea of what happened.

I know there's a chance that it happened, but it's hard to believe a guy like Benoit would do something like that.... based on what people have said about him. Not just not, but well before he died. He seemed like a quiet, decent, human being. He's so well respected.
Wow, if Benoit did it then I don't know what to think.

I know it's hard to believe, and tough to take in, but it looks as though Benoit may have killed his wife and child. That's going to put him in an entirely different light.
Of course, you can't rule out Nancy as the killer.
But most news outlets are running with the double-murder/suicide right now.
I am having a 'really' hard time believing that.
I'm even more ill than before.
