I have been having such a hard time getting into the season. Its so early and so logn a season, I usually dont even catch my stride until a month in. Fist 2 weeks are so crazy, good teams suck, bad teams win, crazy hot starts make people think they are on pace for 200 RBI.

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah I was kidding. Was mimicking all the emo idiots on the Mets message board who want him traded. Probably should have overdramatized it or added an extra emoticon or something to highlight the sarcasm. :o

d. Riotous job done by Joba Chamberlain introducing the Yankees' starting lineup on Fox Saturday baseball. Quippy job. When he came to the eighth spot in the order and catcher Jose Molina, he said, "Batting eighth, of the 27 Molinas in baseball, name that Molina, ours is Jose.''

i lol'ed hard at this cause i play Fantasy Baseball with a buddy and everytime we see a highlight with a Molina in it, I tell him i have Molina and then we argue about which Molina i actually have and then we start trying to name them all. Its weird.

Finally a win.

Girardi better come up with a game plan with Mussina, Hughes, and Kennedy. Cause at the way they're going, it's gonna be a long, tough season for the pitching staff.

Not much he can do. He just has to hope they can step it up. I think both Hughes and Kennedy will be fine (moreso Hughes), it just seems like more of a mental thing right now because they haven't looked bad stuff wise. Just need to cut back on the walks and attack the zone. Who really knows what Mussina will do this year.

One thing he definitely has to do is get the rotation set up better. He can't have Pettitte/Wang going back to back and have Mussina/Hughes/Kennedy going one after the other. He should probably try and put Pettitte in between Hughes and Kennedy somehow.

Innovator
04-20-2008, 07:29 PM
Everyone says Kennedy and Hughes have the stuff, but moreso Kennedy needs to start hitting the strike zone, don't be afraid to throw down over the middle. He keeps trying to pain the corners and it isn't working.

YOUR Hero
04-20-2008, 09:58 PM
Thomas was off to his usual slow start, Jays benched him and Frank got vocal. Thomas has always been a vocal guy and I feel he's partly right, that he'd turn it around but at the same time, he has to remember he plays for the Jays, they don't play for him. Because he was negative the Jays made the decision to release him, which I'm ok with.
What bothers me is the Jays have now moved Glaus and Thomas from the offense and they've replaced it with no one else that puts concern in the mind of a pitcher. Maybe they'll pick up Sosa or something.

Kinda stupid that Hank is starting in already. Joba does need to go to the rotation this season, I've always said that but it makes no sense to put him there now. He's on a 150 innings limit max this season.

But throwing 100 MPH automatically means he should be in the rotation according to Hank.

He also said Mike Mussina needs to start pitching like Jaime Moyer lol.

I went into the outfield seats when the Cubs were doing BP and I yelled to Carlos Zambrano who was doing warm ups in the outfield and he gave me one of those fist bumps on his chest and kissed his two fingers kinda thing. I dunno. I've heard his fastball has been terrible this year. Like mid to low 80s all year. He never had blazing speed on his fastball but when it gets to that low of a speed its tough to get ML hitters out.

When he gets bombed by the Red Sox, the Yankees do even more damage with 15 runs.

Tonight he's up against a pitcher that is just as good, if not better all around than him, and Seattle makes 4 errors in 3 innings and gives up several unearned runs.

Man, Yankees have been streaky this year. They haven't won or lost just one game at a time since the first three games of the season. Since then they've lost two, won two, lost two, won two, lost two, won three, lost three, won three, lost three, won two, lost three, won three and then lost two. Kind of crazy. A-Rod/Posada really can't come back quick enough.

Not even a bad game tonight for Wang but Lee was just ridiculous. Lee's stats this season are insane - 44.2 IP, 25 hits, 2 walks, 39 Ks, 0.81 ERA
