Nuh uh. Growing up a Cowboys fan, I'm solidified in a "Cowboys are the good guys, Niners are the bad guys" mindset. Plus I've got a couple friends who instantly became obnoxious once SF started playing well.
I'm rooting for the Texans though so it's not all favorites.

I'm going for the Texans, Broncos, 9ers, and Giants for the final 4. Will never fucking happen but I can dream.
I'm a 9ers fan but I'm fairly skeptical about the playoffs this year. Even if we hold the Saints below 20 or so points, I don't know if our red zone offense is good enough to clinch things for us. I will hold my head up high, but it's a bit nerve wracking.

The Patrick Willis/Jimmy Graham match-up bothers me a bit because of the size difference. Willis has been able to cover much bigger guys than himself this season in match-ups but Willis isn't fully recovered from injury just yet.

I can't logically see how anybody could truly be against Tebow succeeding. Anybody who is hardcore against him has to just either be against that amount of coverage or hype in general or just be a major contrarian asshole. How can you know this guy's story, follow him on TV every week, see all of the wonderful things he does outside of the NFL... and still be against him?
I'm against Tebow succeeding this week since he's against the Pats.

I seriously doubt "a lot of people" thought the 49ers would beat the Saints. No one in their right mind would seriously believe the saints would be held to 17 points through 50+ minutes of football.
AND I was saying the 49ers would win right after the Saints won last Saturday too so..yeah on that.

But now I'm thinking not only could it be God vs. God, Ravens could go vs. the 49ers for a Thanksgiving brother vs brother rematch.
Emperor Smeat
01-14-2012, 07:37 PM
The opposite could be true that if the Saints didn't have 5 turnovers, they probably would be having a huge lead considering the 49ers only have a 6 pt lead as of now.
4 turnovers from the Saints in the 1st half only generated a +3 in the score for the 49ers.
A lot of doubt for the Saints did occur once it was revealed the field condition would be a bit muddy or sloppy which hurts the Saints more than the 49ers.

Droford so convinced that Baltimore will go up to New England and stuff them like 2 years ago. This Patriot team is playing nothing like the pretty average 10-6 team of that year. The only game the Ravens have won on the road all year that was against an opponent outside their division was the Rams, so there's absolutely no evidence to suggest they can win on the road in the playoffs, especially against arguably the best team in the league at their place. I'm not saying they won't win, but you have no reason at all to be so confident.

Super Bowl Facts:
No team has ever won the SB when their offense finishes outside of the top 25...that eliminates SF.
No team has ever won the SB when their defense finishes outside the top 25..that eliminates NYG, GB and NE.
No team has ever won the SB when their QB was the league's leading passer....that (and the 49ers) knocks out NO.
No team has ever won the SB with a Rookie QB, that eliminates Houston.
That leaves the SB winner to be the Ravens.
lol
Emperor Smeat
01-14-2012, 11:02 PM
ESPN already did those facts and managed to come up with a Saints vs Ravens SB matchup that is impossible now. Texans were eliminated due to no SB winner had a rookie starter when they reached the game.
The day after that on the front page they had a list of reasons why the Ravens probably won't win with the biggest reason being themselves.

Quarterbacks with the first name Joe have a pretty good record in the Super Bowl..Joe Namath, Joe Montana and Joe Theisman (most ever first name).

PREDICTIONS:
San Francisco over New Orleans 33-28
New England over Denver 41-25
Baltimore over Houston 20-3
Green Bay over NY Giants 37-34

Bummed to see the season end like that, but I'm still happy with the overall result. Considering they had the second worst record last year, anything was an improvement. Gotta get a cornerback, a safety, and a better possession receiver for next year. In the words of Bart Scott, CAN'T WAIT.
