i just wonder why they can't sell it out. Economy being bad? Week after X-mas and people are broke?
If Arizone cant sell there game out, they should never be allowed in the playoffs again. Atleast not be allowed to have a home game. Thats so fucking stupid. If this game was in Atlanta, they'd sell out in like 4 hours.

Record the game, and avoid ALL sources that would tell you the results. Watch it as if it were live when you get back home.
I did that with the Giants a few years back.
And according to ESPN, Peyton Manning will be named MVP

Unfortunately I don't have a VCR, and I haven't had my MythTV box set up for ages, so I can't record it. Not unless I come back later today and spend all day just trying to set it up for that one game.
If I did it, nobody at work better fuck it up for me. I would punch them in the face.

Rod Woodson, on NFL Network, just said Peyton Manning should give the MVP award back to Demarcus Ware..............Demarcus ...... Ware...........
I'm all for having opinions, but com the fuck on. This guy should be fired just for saying something that dumb. This isnt an opinion. This is sensationalism. This guy should be gone next year. What a moron.
Here is someone like me would give anything to see the Arizona Cardinals play, and they can't even sell out their stadium.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP)—The NFL has given the Minnesota Vikings one last chance to sell out the Metrodome for Sunday’s playoff game against Philadelphia.
The Vikings have until 4:30 p.m. EST on Saturday to sell the remaining 3,100 tickets to avoid a television blackout in local markets.
The task isn’t as daunting as it appeared earlier in the week. The Vikings were granted their first extension on Thursday and still had a whopping 8,000 tickets to unload to avoid the first blackout since 1997.
But the team made big strides, selling nearly 5,000 tickets as of Friday afternoon. The remaining tickets are priced $80, $120 and $160 a piece. It’s the first time the Vikings have been in the playoffs since the 2004 season.
Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals have sold enough tickets to Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons for it to be televised in the Phoenix area.
The NFL gave the team two 24-hour extensions, the last expiring Friday afternoon. About 2,400 tickets remained Friday morning.
Tickets returned from the visiting team allotment and club seats remain available for purchase. Neither counts against the blackout rules.
Stay classy Minnesota
James Steele
01-03-2009, 05:26 AM
I saw on ESPN where one of the teams sold a bunch of tickets to a dude who owns a pool supply company and he gave away 2 tickets for each $100 of pool supplies purchased.

Coulda been Lofton on that coverage...you never know. Either way neither LB should have been worried about coming up on that RB leaking out of the backfield.
Matt Ryan is the future though, that last scoring drive they had the Falcons didn't run the ball once. He lead them down the field to put them in a position to win - the defense just couldn't step up.

Where in the hell did Edge come from? I don't think anyone in thier right mind was expecting that kind of game. I mean it's just 73 yards but but that's huge jump. 73 yards is about his season total. :haha:
I almost killed everything around me when they tried that end-around the last possesion. WTF play call was that. Even if that got us a touchdown I would have still said it was a bad call.
I'm really hoping to play at Carolina next week.

Just please not the Giants, Vikings, Chargers or Colts, especially Giants/Colts. I had enough torture last year with Pats/Giants.

I liked Mangini, but it seemed to be the popular thing to do. Really at 8-3 coming off wins AT New England and AT Tennesse to finish 9-7... is just an embarrassment. Hard to forgive something like that, even if a lot of it was on Favre. (It was) But then there was some piss poor gameplanning too. (How does Leon Washington NOT get 10-15 touches a game? pitiful)
But getting rid of Mangini was a very popular decision amongst JEts fans, to answer your question.

Rivers has his coming. Dont think Indy fans forgot. I think Indy is gunna torch the Chargers tbh. I really think this is gunna be a blow out. The Chargers are not a good team. They just arent. I'm worried about Sproles and thats about it. I mean, if they were smart they'd just throw screen passes to Sproles all day long, but even that plays into the Colts defense so...

I read in the Boston Herald today that economics could be a factor in hiring McDaniels too, since they still owe Shannan a ton of money plus the owner owns a part of the arena league team in Denver (which had it season canceled). So hiring younger cheaper coach would make a lot of sense.

2. Chargers - this is tough because i'm not an LT fan, but Rivers earned a lot of respect playing injured in the playoffs last year.
3. Eagles - let McNabb get a ring and wave it in TO's face.
4. Ravens - Flaco... and a sick D, if it wasn't that Ray Lewis already has a ring i'd have them higher, but there are soo many good stories this year.
5. Giants - only to let people argue that Eli is better then Peyton :P

2. Ravens - Flacco got a chance to make some history. All depends on who's winning the AFC game today.
3a. Giants - Can Big Blue go back to back? Will they survive without last year's star Plaxico Burress?
3b. Steelers - Wouldn't mind seeing them go back.
5. Eagles - McNabb only gets a second crack at a ring.
6. Chargers - As a Broncos fan, I'm sworn to hate. And if they go all the way, we won't hear the end of it.

2. Cardinals - To give Bengals fans hope that literally anything is possible in this batshit crazy league
3. Giants - Nothing against them, but they won it last year

Im actually depressed. What does RP do every time the Colts get knocked out?
I can't say that I'm surprised by the G-men laying a giant egg today(no pun intended), but that doesn't make it sting any less. You have to have a better gameplan considering Eli Manning doesn't have a strong enough arm to make throws in the wind that he had to deal with. You can say all you want about that Championship game last year in Green Bay, but it was cold as shit, not windy. Also, I would have been content with running Jacobs into the ground, literally. Should have had more than the 19 carries he had today. Just not enough for a guy who is so effective against one of the best defensive units in the NFL.
And Im pretty sure that John Carney has a reputation of falling apart late in the season, and in the postseason. 44 year old legs get tired, no matter what kind of shape you get yourself into. It's unfair to expect the guy to be able to kick darts with a frozen ball in 25 mph winds.
Defense did a great job, but you can't go to the well in the middle of a drought.
That being said, the Eagles were just the better team. They had a better game plan, they were better coached, and they did a better job of executing. Let's see if they can do it against a high octane Cardinals offense when theres no ridiculous cold or wind to help them out.

I mean some of the plays were predictable by the Giants, but with the 3-headed monster that was the Giants' running attack, we still held them down. When you put the game in Eli Manning's hands, you are either going to get 1.) Last year's SB strech Eli or 2.) 2005 Eli. I've always said that Eli is DANGEROUS when he is on a roll/winning streak. When he comes off of a bye or hasn't been playing well lately, he is either going to have to depend on the running/defense or PLAXICO.
The Eagles DEFENSE knew exactly what to do. Get in Eli's face and stop the run. Jacobs was supposed to be the factor and in the red zone/30 yard line he is pretty damn good. But that stingy defense stopped them.
And our offense was acceptable. Could've put up even MORE points but didn't take advantage of the red zone. Overall, Eagles played better and planned better for the Giants. The problem with the Giants is they think they will either win from Jacobs, Plaxico, or Eli. Going to have to stretch it out a little bit more than that.

The team that beats the defending Super bowl champ in the playoffs is 0-11 in the next game. Add that to a 24-6 lead at the half, and it's not looking good.
It can be done though.
