Really haven't had that much trouble with people using glitches. I feel like you are exaggerating and you assume that any time you join a game and there is a harrier in the air you assume someone is glitching.

I am truly not exaggerating. Its not when there are Harriers its when an emergency airdrop is called in by someone who JUST called one in. The ONLY way to get an Emergency Airdrop is an 8 killstreak, you CANT get two in the same life and you can only get them in 8 kill intervals (7 with hardline) Which means there is no way someone who is 15-0-1 should be calling in thier THIRD airdrop, the same is true for care package at 4 kills.

This is good. The more publicity a glitch gets, the faster it's patched.

Since launch, I think I've encountered one javelindom user, and that's it for glitchers. I may have had a match or 2 where there were infinite care package users, but I barely noticed. I just unpack my stingers and rack up experience.

I suppose that is true, however what Alravado said below is my stance on it.

Also when your level 70, experience means very little.

Without the care package knifing is one of the more difficult things to do well in this game. You have a gun they have a knife, unless you can outmaneuver them or blindside them your fucked most of the time. I prefer using ninja over commando with my knifing set up as it allows you to stalk your enemies, and pick them off without alerting anyone around them.

Still is a bitch for me to consistently go positive with my knife only set up.

About to go a little Icebox here. Had probably the best match of my COD career, 23-0 Merc TDM on Scrapyard. I had the nuke equipped too, 2 more kills :(. Called in my Harrier which got me my chopper gunner, which was shot down after like 2 kills, and the rest was all me.

Yeah, you are completely vulnerable, so finding a good hiding spot to keep you streak going in vital.

If you get killed, you will reswawn automatically when you are done
If you are getting shot at you will hear a warning sound from the chopper/etc
If you get shot down the controller will vibrate

Had my best game of Search and Destroy last night on favela. Went 20 and 2 with a couple assists thrown in as well. Funny thing was I didn't think I was doing so well until like the fourth round when I got a harrier and went to drop it, then noticed I also had a predator to drop, then after dropping it, I realized I had another predator to drop.

Honestly, I find LMGs to be pretty shit. The only reason I said the Aug was any good was in hardcore, because it is literally a one shot kill. Its accuracy doesn't require you to burst fire or anything. Tried the RPD (the supposed other 'good' LMG) in normal play with stopping power, and it didn't perform as well as an assault rifle would in the same situations. Like, I don't know why you would ever choose an LMG over an assault rifle.

Convince me otherwise, because my mind is open for alternate suggestions on how to use LMGs.

LMGs have much more damage than other weapons, they really don't need Stopping Power. They're less accurate because they jump all over the show when you fire them, unless you have a Grip and/or silencer. I use an LMG for my sneaky class sometimes because having one means you can get more damage while having a silencer and Cold Blooded on in normal games. Accuracy still isn't great but it's ok. The ACR's ridiculous accuracy makes it better even on those settings since you can smack the head or body 9/10 straight away. I prestiged, can't wait until I get the ACR back.

I tried the RPD with the grip, and couldn't seem to do shit with it. Used it the same as I used the Aug, but it just handled differently and wouldn't HIT anyone. Like, stationary targets, it wouldn't hit.. no accuracy at all and I just couldn't deal with it.. To me, it seems like you would have to have stopping power on, BECAUSE of the accuracy issues.

One of my main complaints is also their up close efficiency. Can't turn fast enough aiming down sights, and hip firing doesn't seem to do much due to the bullets going EVERYWHERE.

My style of play might differ from yours, so maybe that is why I am no good with them? Idk.. I don't use SMGs really either so maybe I am just bad without an assault rifle. lol

I find that I really like scavenger or bling depending on the class, followed by cold blooded or lightweight pro(if I use lightweight, I might also use sleight of hand or marathon for perk 1, and IMO lightweight is only useful with pro).

Dude look at the stats. The L86, RPD, and AUG all deal major damage. MG42 and M240 are much lower, but I've never had a problem using those. Again, you can't say any weapon in this game is bad. Certainly some excel in certain areas, but pretty much everything balances. LMGs are for tanks. They've got a huge magazine capacity so you can pin someone down for a while. Good bullet penetration too. And the RPD and AUG are super accurate. Some of the best iron sights in the game too. Slap a grip on them and you're laughing.

And come on, how do you fault them for not being great close quarters? That's like bitching out the shotguns for not being able to hit someone across the map.

It's all in the user. Look at Icebox a couple of pages back, bitching about the silenced ACR. Practice. Everything has it's uses. When I first got COD4, I hated the M60 and the Mini Uzi with a passion. By the time MW2 came out, they were 2 of my favourite guns in the game.

Same here, except for the grip/silence. Can't live without Scavenger Pro. Only use LMGs to camp the tunnel/hallway in Skidrow till I die mostly, never was a huge fan of them even in MW1.

They dont need stopping power at all, before I prestiged I had a class set up as

RPD + Thermal/Grip
Stinger

Scavenger (Took the thermal off) or Bling
Cold Blooded
Steady Aim

LMG's are ridicuosly powerful and can be used at close range but it takes loads of practice as they jump. Grip + Steady Aim, helps ALOT.

Firing into rooms where someone is camping a window is great, also great on derail when you are not holding the office room in the building.

I've pulled off some nice kills with the RPGs. On Rundown I got flashed banged while I was coming around the corner for the bigger bridge, randomly fired a RPG off and hit the pillar of the building, killed 2 people and got the game winning kill.

With the Eagles I have to pace my trigger pulls. One time I unloaded wildly with an Eagle on somebody at near point-blank range and missed the entire clip because you cannot shoot it like that.

I had that problem with a single Deagle; the recoil is distracting especially in ADS. Pretty much went away with two because obviously you can't look down the sights. But I think it helps more that you can actually see the bullets fly towards the other guy and you can extrapolate from that to go a little more crazy with the firing.

Still have my PS3, but I play MW2 on 360 because I can play with friends. Only one of my friends owns a PS3, but they also own a 360 and play on it mostly.


That is Sony's problem. Sure they have free online, but people who thrive on multiplayer don't give a shit because most of their friends don't have a PS3. Really have no urge to buy multiplayer games on the PS3 when I can't play them with anyone I know. Sure as hell not going to pay $60 for a primarily multiplayer game when I can't play with people I know. That is half the point.. no way I would want to play this game all the time on my own.

Also, I can't stand Sony's controllers for FPS games. They feel awkward for it compared to the 360 controller. TPS is fine.. MGS feels fine on it. But games like Killzone or whatever just don't feel good to me on the PS3 controller.

God, Was such a dick today. Playing in estate I snuck into the house and hid in the bathroom. Everyone came in and I snuck up behind someone sniping, turned in place to see someone come into the room and used my throwing knife, turned and knifed the sniper, picked up my knife and got a guy coming down the stairs, picked it back up went around the corner and got a guy with it climbing up the woodpile in back. Switched to dual magnums and shot a guy with all twelve bullets and lumped out the window. Times like that I wish I recorded my games.

Since I prestiged, I've just been using a silenced Famas. Silenced USP. Sleight of hand pro, lightweight, and commando. Also found that I have done better since upping my sensitivity by 1.

Came across a group of 10th prestige people while playing with Roxer and alvarado earlier. All but one of them on the other team was 10th prestige and they were obviously in a party. They talked a little shit about how they were 10th prestige. Obviously paid for it.

So the game starts, and I go 13-0 before dying. About 5 minutes into the game, and ALL of them had quit. :lol: Don't remember what I ended up going, but it was one of the best games I had all night. Was just on it while playing hardcore S&D earlier. Played with these people on my team who were trying to riot shield boost with eachother the whole game. Was STILL managing to win, and kill 3-4 people on the other team each game. Ended up losing 4-3, but it was through no fault of my own.

A couple friends from my buddys clan xDoMx and I were in a party of 6 tonight and we get matched up against this team with the prefix Prodigy. They are all 10th Prestige and were trash talking us because most of us just prestiged, saying we should just quit because we are going to get beat so bad. So xDoMx team leader says Joker will put a bullet in your head to start the match and I will kill you to finish it (my friend) at the start of the match tells me to snipe cover (which I already had set) and Ghost to stealth cover him, its on wasteland and heres how it went down. I Run forward to start the match, site in and headshot their leader, firewall (leader) then proceeds to take out 7, calls in harriers and gets his chopper gunner (the other 3 teammates swarm the bunker and I and Ghost provide covering sniper fire. He gets a 26 killstreak and drops his nuke. end score was like 6200-800 I went 19-1-2 and 3 people on my team (ghost, firewall and gib) went deathless (besides nuke death) so we get back to lobby and I make the comment of "See, when you actually play the game to reach 10th prestige, you tend to be quite good at it, so keep practicing" all the while I am getting called a fag and my team are a bunch of bum buddies. Anyway they left the match and firewall proceeded to join every game they were in (they would back out at the lobby when we entered) and eventually signed offline. Was pretty great to be honest.

Besides the occasional person that's hacked the game, it's perfectly fine.

The only reason we haven't gotten the updates is because Microsoft wants to charge for them, so Valve wants to give the fans their money's worth, thus they're waiting until they finish all the updates to release it. I play it a lot more consistantly than you do, I'm sure. I should know.

I can say that the TF2 community is better than COD in that most of the time hackers wouldn't join a public match and start hacking it. Normally they would create their own. You still get the occasional sky walker/ground sentry that hasn't been patched but it doesn't take much to figure out a way around them.

They're not necessarily "bogged down" with L4D, it's what the team wanted. Valve lets their staff vote for what project they want to work on next, and after L4D1 was released they voted on stuff like HL2E3, L4D2 and whatever other ideas they have. Obviously they wanted to do L4D2. I guess they're pretty much get to anything else when they feel like it, if they haven't started already.

Some circle jerking clan was doing it so my whole team would run to the guy who was outside the map and try to shoot him even though they couldn't and then their whole team would run and ambush them.

Good fun.

So I was going through the audio files trying to pick out all the "RAMIREZ!" audio files and found the MP sound folder. So... There's audio files here for something called "Defcon" (Audio says "Defcon Team Deathmatch" for example), a new gametype called "Arms Race", and Team Deathmatch Pro, Free For All Pro, Search and Destroy Pro and Sabotage Pro. There's also voices for Team Tactical, and no, it's not 3rd person either.

If anybody requests it, I can upload the audio files to youtube.

I also found the weapons folder and found the G3, G36, R700, M40, M240, SA80, AW50, a power drill, MP5, MP9, and the MP44. I can provide pictures for these as well if requested.

Also, I made a 'scout' sniper class for hardcore. Using the acog on the intervention right now, and it is pretty rape. Sleight of hand pro and cold blooded. Have yet to go consistently positive cause I prefer moving around and using it as a MID to long range class, instead of primarily long range.
