I seem to recall having to do something about this when I set mine up, but a friend walked me through it AS I was changing the firmware of my router, so I'm not exactly sure what I did that was related to my 360.

I find when you piss a trash talking clan off with a loss, they tend to get so frustrated they lose over and over and over. Which is the case, I wonder if they are crying at the moment.

Thought you'd notice that. I was getting some awful connections last night and that game was one. I don't see the point in staying in a game when the latency gets really bad. If I see it happen in a game where I basically have no chance in a fair shoot out then I just leave.

Only works sometimes. I tend to get a lot of games where a LOT of people have ninja on. If they do, I switch to other weapons because it's not useful having one dot show up, only for there to be multiple people coming at you around that corner once you check it out.

Sometimes though, you can get lucky and everyone is using something else, and there are red dots galore on it.

did you report the host for tampering? The only way they can mod a game is with a jtagg'd console, so if you report them, microsoft can easily ban the console because you cant hide a jtag altered system like you can a modded dvd drive.

well, to tell you what to look for, at the start of the game (as its counting down) you press the button to look at the scores and connection.

The player who is the host, will have a 4 bar green connection. Everyone else will have a red 1 bar as they connect slower. A few seconds later it will show everyones connection usually 3-4 green bars which while good, the first player to connect is deemed best host.

Earlier tonight, G4's The Feed website ran a story (http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/702911/Security-Appears-Unannounced-At-Infinity-Ward-Studio-Heads-Missing-Staff-Freaked-Out-.html) from a source at Infinity Ward (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/infinity-ward) that a "bunch of 'bouncer-types' just showed up outside of the Infinity Ward offices unannounced. When approached by employees, the non-uniformed 'bouncers' were unwilling to disclose why they were there ... everyone is on edge" and "Infinity Ward studio heads Vince Zampella and Jason West reportedly met with Activision this morning and have not been seen by Infinity Ward staff members since."

To be honest, it smelled a little funny. Bouncers showing up in late in the evening to bar people from offices? Only one source for the story? We were ready to chalk it up as a publicity stunt, possibly as a lead-in for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2) DLC, or possibly some unannounced game. But information keeps coming in, and unless someone at Activision has faked an SEC filing (which is probably illegal somewhere, right?), some big changes are coming for the Activision-owned developer.

We drove over to Infinity Ward's offices (they're nearby) and we asked the front desk guard if anything like that hed been going on. He told us not to his knowledge, and that he would have known if something was going on. The lights were on, but the parking lot was empty and no one besides the guard was around. Calls to Robert Bowling and Infinity Ward went to voicemail. Makes the story seem suspect, right?

But wait, there's more. Apparently Activision filed a Form 10-K with the SEC (http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/718877/000104746910001649/a2196314z10-k.htm) on Monday, which is basically an overview of the company's financial condition, and includes any information that could possibly affect that condition. This filing states "In November 2009, the Company released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a game developed by one of the Company's wholly-owned studios, Infinity Ward. As noted above, Modern Warfare 2 was the best selling console title in the U.S. and Europe in 2009. Consistent with past practice, the Company intends to release a Call of Duty game in 2010 developed by another wholly-owned studio. The Company is concluding an internal human resources inquiry into breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward. This matter is expected to involve the departure of key personnel and litigation. At present, the Company does not expect this matter to have a material impact on the Company."

Looks like the Activision-Infinity Ward feud goes farther than just unpaid royalties since some places are reporting the CEOs of Infinity Ward got upset a new studio would be added to help make Call of Duty games.

Infinity Ward then secretly makes negotiations with other publishers for future support and might have included a Call of Duty game (or spinoff game) since Infinity Ward owns a % of the series and Activision ended up freaking out and firing the CEOs. The whole unpaid royalties was meant for the CEOs and not the studio itself.

Well, according to The Tech Game, the first pack (due this spring (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/11/modern-warfare-2-first-exclusive-dlc-pack-officially-coming/)) will be titled "Stimulus Package" and includes five new locales (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/11/modern-warfare-2-first-exclusive-dlc-pack-officially-coming/) - three brand new and two returning from Call of Duty 4 (Crash and Overgrown).

The images and accompanying video (the latter posted past the break) look legitimate enough, though we've sent word to Activision for confirmation. I hated wetworks for that, christ I was a beast with with the MP5 on it, but its nowhere as good in this game.

I loved Vacant as you could run around with a shotgun like mad and have loads of fun. Also, claymores and martydom made it havok.

Excited about overgrown though, should make for excellent sniping, provided they fixed the fucking glitch in the ditch where you could go into the ground and shoot out.

I've suddenly discovered that the SPAS-12 is actually a pretty good shotgun. I can get kills with it better than I can with the F2000, which is a terrible gun.

The F2000 is a pretty terrible gun, If you mean the PP2000 I think you would be wrong and its just a weak UMP which is great as a secondary for a sniper class (I occasionally will switch out my AA-12 for it)

Pop a RDS or Silencer on it and it works really well as you can kill mid-distance (something that basically hipfiring your rifle allows as the shotgun is too short and the sniper scoped in is too long)

Sidenote, anyone else hate the ACOG on any rifle but the M21?

I use the Acog on the intervention, and it is fun. Have found that it is easier to get headshots with normal scope though. Was tearing it up yesterday with the silenced intervention in hardcore s&d on Favela.

Got like 4 kills in a 10 second time frame one game last night. Heart was beating like crazy just cause it only took 4 shots total. Didn't miss once, and 2 were headshots. Felt like a beast. :cool:

SPAS is I think along with the M1014 one of the best (use extended mags) shotguns, however I still prefer the AA-12 with my sniper class, as if I have to use a shotgun it usually means someone has crept up on me and a slower firing shotgun will get me killed pretty quick.

Along with scavenger and extended mags, I got a 16 shot clip which helps alot if two people are coming and I dont have time to reload.

For non-sniper I use dual-rangers or spas+extended mags

F2000 is not that bad, but for such a late unlock its a rather shitty gun as you got the SCAR-H AND the ACR before it, there really is no reason to use it. Controlled bursts is where it is at if you want to hit anything mid-range or farther, I have shot a sniper on the rear buildings of Derail from the second floor window of the office building with a silenced UMP. Have to be pretty precise and control the fire so the muzzle doesnt jump ;)

Its crazy how people dont understand how accurate ANY gun can be in controlled bursts (even LMGs)

As for Grip, I find it ruins shotguns as it lessens the spread of the pellets.

The only reason I'm using the F2000 right now is to get the mastery for it, otherwise it would never make it into my normal rotation. After that it's only the FAL left, but I'm not ever going to try to master it.

Like the WA2000 and the Intervention, I use the M21 and Barrett mostly.

FAL, F2000, FAMAS, I only use when I pick up from enemies.

AS for SMG, I use all them except the mini-uzi as its unlocked after the P90

64 and 4 is a somewhat impressive score for people who don't play this game competitively/all the time. My highest streak at the moment is 29, in which I got a nuke.

It was on Highrise as previously stated, I was sniping and using claymores as much as possible and as you all know, when enemies go through the passage-way below the surface I kind of cant shoot them and have to watch my back all the time to make sure a shothgun isnt pointed at it.

There were several times I was noob-tubed/RPGd and I had to hit the ground to recover so it wasnt like I had an incredibly easy time doing it.

It also helped loads when your teammates arent fucktards, as Alvarado held down the fort while I ran to the back of the tower to drop my killstreaks out of harms way.

Considering all weapons/perks are reset every prestige, there are plenty of people on the same page as you all the time.

There's really not much of a learning curve.. it's a shooter with a few extras. You either 'get it', or you don't. Some people are just better at it than others.

Listening to the podcast, sounds like Bailout is gonna be more sniper friendly, while Salvage will be more of a Scrapyard-esque firefight. Bowling specifically said that camping will be a tough proposition on Salvage. Sounds like the playlist updates will be more inserting maps and new versions of current playlists (Hardcore Mosh Pit) than flat out new modes, so I wouldn't be expecting Global Thermonuclear War quite yet.
