I will be doing a modern Ministry of Darkness story. Starting with the Undertaker taking superstars into the Ministry by force, like in 99, and then start causing chaos with Vince and the face main eventers.

Now that the gme is out in the States, and most of you have it, can someone answer my question from earlier? Can you use Superstar Thread attires in CAS? I'd quite like to have some black-themed Ministry attires for this story if possible.

I don't have the game yet, but from what I've seen you can use alternate attires. I've seen vids with Vince in his alternate suit attire.

Yeah, that one too me a few tries. Santino's the easiest to get to submit, you just have to catch him when the others are out.

Finished the CAW story. The second month was terrible, but it got better for the final month. The ending was silly.

There is an AMAZING aj styles up for 360. Same guy has really good versions of Daniels, Jay Lethal, and Samoa Joe as well. Guy spent a lot of time in the create-a-logo mode. Very unfortunate that you can't edit entrance themes, because these guys are great.

One thing of note is that when you go to create an entrance/moveset, "Downloaded Superstar" is there as an option, it's just greyed out. Fucking assholes, teasing us like that.

My plan is to build it like the greater power angle, with Shane first being assumed behind it but then Cena is revealed because he was "tired of the shitty product he was being blamed for. ARE YOU HAPPY!? I'M JERKIN THE CURTAIN YOU FUCKING SMARKS!". The subplot which connects it (and makes it seem like Vince isn't writing it) is that Cena goes on a losing streak.

There was a post on the SVR2010 Twitter account this morning saying that the developers were still at work creating wrestlers, and to look for something like "THQDEVPTEAM" as creaters of wrestlers in the downloadable content.

It has since been deleted, and I didn't get the actual name down.

I've only found a couple codes for unlockables so far:

The Rock: Enter The Great One as a case-sensitive code.
Dirt Sheet and Vince's Office Backstage Brawl Areas: Enter BonusBrawl as a case-sensitive code.

Haven't seen any others yet, and it doesn't even say where the password entry thing is, though it's probably under the options menu somewhere like last year's was.

Yep, it is easy... Hell, you gain attributes for a CAW when they're in the match period, even if you aren't playing at them.

I was pissed they took out "Zachary" in the last game. There seems little point in removing names. I only used a couple of guys whose names were viable, so the removal of one was annoying. I wish we had a few more "regular" name options to begin with, so major disappointment if they removed them all.

Don't have the game yet but had a little idea last night to also do a New Ministry storyline with Taker claiming he wants to destroy the WWE and brainwashing a group of wrestlers as his new minions.

Then JBL comes out and says that the goal of the original Ministry was to take over the WWE not destroy it. Then it can lead up to some Ministry vs JBL, Edge and Christian matches, with Edge teasing, and then eventually joining up with the Undertaker leaving Christian and JBL to try and fight back against them.

You can't even put on themes that are in the game. Nothing. The creator can put in his own music, but only if its from the game. Custom tracks don't carry over.

Most people here are buying for the 360. Since I'm hoping my friends get it, too, I have to get it for the 360. Well, I don't have to, but if I want to play on the same system as everyone else....

The thing is My Subscription ran out and I haven't gotten a new one, I got a few monthly ones from the guy at the store for a few bucks, I entered in the first one, went to play a game of red-alert III, something came up and I didn't end up playing it. I didn't use the card that whole month and it went to waste, so I figuered I'd wait before getting another year. I still have another month that I haven't activated yet, but that's it for now....

But I've decided i'll get it on X-Box 360... Is there anything that I wont be able to do, Someone said music exporting or something is ps3 exclusive.

I was already thinking X-Box for the same reason, more people, and it would be fun to play with you other wrestling nerds...

why did they get ride of casket matches and keep the stupid inferno match for god sakes, they should have just kept adding variables to the casket match, more ways to go in and such, it was fun now and than, especialy for career mode when you wrestle taker in a PPV, I Remeber those matches being hard.

I was thinking the other day how that Wrestlmania game for the 8 bit Nintendo was around for a long time, it was also a top seller for a long time too it seemed, althoguh it just may just been that I was younger and it felt like a longer chunk of my life( for example lets assume it was selling from when i was age 3 to age 6, it would have been out and around me half my life at that point.)

I feel you guys on that. One thing I don't get is why they don't just rip off the name system from Legends of Wrestling 2 (yeah, it sucked, I know, shut up). They had hundreds of first names, 9858623586935867534 nicknames and hundreds of last names that you chose seperately. So you could literally put together several famous wrestlers' names who were not actually in the game (Booker T, Carl Oulette, Shawn Michaels etc) and actually have them announced as such. Hell, I was able to make a Johnny Bravo CAW who actually got his name announced.

I always thought they should have the announcers record all the sounds in the phonetic alphabet with different inflections and emphases so that you can assemble CAW names to be pronounced as they are. As great as the LOW2 naming system works, you couldn't come up with some of the names of guys coming up through FCW.

Like, if you strike or grapple a lot those stats will increase on their own...I was under the impression that you just earn points and you use them to upgrade your guy however you please...like you could strike or grapple a lot but use the points towards say, hardcore and charisma.

Again, please correct me if I'm wrong. I only did a couple of matches as my CAW before exploring other phases of the game so maybe I missed a menu or something. I will be seriously bummed though if it's based on what you do, because that is basically the same system as last year, just not confined into one mode. This has so many glitches....
In the royal rumble as edge, I did spear. As edge starts to taunt he falls out of the ring, t I can then move around outside for abit. I feel you guys on that. One thing I don't get is why they don't just rip off the name system from Legends of Wrestling 2 (yeah, it sucked, I know, shut up). They had hundreds of first names, 9858623586935867534 nicknames and hundreds of last names that you chose seperately. So you could literally put together several famous wrestlers' names who were not actually in the game (Booker T, Carl Oulette, Shawn Michaels etc) and actually have them announced as such. Hell, I was able to make a Johnny Bravo CAW who actually got his name announced.

Kinda miss the No Mercy/DoR finisher period, where you get like 20 seconds of time to hit your finisher as many times as you want. Great for those types of matches.

And specifically for guys who had finishers that chained together. Mostly, I'm thinking of guys like the Rock, where he often did three "finishers" close together.Or, at the risk of sounding like a Kalyx-esque douche, I had a CAW whose "finisher" was a turnbuckle move from each corner.

I always thought they should have the announcers record all the sounds in the phonetic alphabet with different inflections and emphases so that you can assemble CAW names to be pronounced as they are. As great as the LOW2 naming system works, you couldn't come up with some of the names of guys coming up through FCW.

A system like that would be too much effort for too little reward. That being said...ME WANT!

I've never noticed the sliders for each individual part of the match. They've always done that? Could've sworn it was new. I've never seen being able to change a foreign object shot from a 50 effective to a 100 effective.

That's one I know for sure is old, because I always tweak it so weapons are more devastating.

I wanted The Big Show to be the Leader of a ne Dungeon of Doom so I used theit music from WCW. I had Big Show, Kane, Umaga, Jeff Hardy and The Great Khali.

I wanted to see what would happen so I switched Khali for La Parka and atleast as part of that team La Parka has that music I put for them.

That means if you DL say Marty Jenetty put him w/ HBK edit their team as the Rockers and as long as he comes out w/ HBK he'l come out to the music you want him to. That is the only way around it

Love the game in general, but my one major problem so far has been CAW. I had a pretty standard guy, a wrestling version of myself that I make every year. When it came to making the cutscene attire, I gave him jeans, a white shirt, and a suit jacket. But when it came to giving him a '3D beard' as I had on my other attires, but I couldn't because there weren't enough points available.

Its kinda bullshit that such a simple design wasn't allowed.

Only did two exhibitions so far. I was Jack Swagger against Primo, and I had Primo down then he, out of nowhere, gets me into a cradle pin for a 3 count. Awesome.

Also, I just played as Kofi against Michaels. I noticed that if you chop someone more than once, their chest turns red.

At the end of the match, there are "Match Highlights." Is that only an option in RTW or something?

Oh, and you can skip songs during the menu by clicking the LS. That's cool.

Match Highlights are after every match as far as I'm aware and it is a pretty cool feature. I need to play around with the Highlight Reel a bit more to make myself a good entrance video.

The points system in CAW is a bit weird, be a bit better if they allowed you to have a few more points for example I want the cloak the Undertaker sometimes wears on my guy but then I also want elbow pads which I can't have because the cloak uses a lot of points.

Finished HBKs RTW today as well, really good job done on it I thought. Probably gonna do Edges next.

The Orton career was the best so far. The CAW one just felt like..a chore. I did not feel as engaged in the story as the other ones. The only highlight of it was Santino.

The only thing I really enjoyed is the cutscene in the CAW story where Santino tells your created superstar "You look like somebody some loser would create in a wrestling game." or whatever, with a close-up of him breaking the "4th wall" by winking and smiling at the camera.

Just learned this one the hard way: Once you've started CAW RTWM and have a save file in there, you can't edit that CAW at all. I wanted to make some new attires, so I deleted the RTWM since I'd already completed it.

Apparently, deleting the file erases all the experience you earned from RTWM....meaning my wrestler went from a 94 overall to a 67 overall. :foc:

Good to know. I got this on Sunday, made my Funky Fly CAW as per usual. Also made a double SSP finisher. One thing that pissed me off is that the long CM Punk style hand wraps are gone this year and I can only do the short ones with the finger wraps added. Funky Fly (the CAW) ALWAYS has the long hand wraps. :mad:

Are there 3 actual separate outfits for the CAWs like they said or is it just the requisite ring/entrance/cutscene combo that they've always had?

I have done the Mickie James, Orton and CAW RTWM.
The Orton career was the best so far. The CAW one just felt like..a chore. I did not feel as engaged in the story as the other ones. The only highlight of it was Santino.

First thing I did was a few of the little training checklist things, once I got bored with that I did a few matches.

Then started Ortons story...

I really like the game so far. There are a few tweaks here and there that are annoying but then again thats common in any game. I love the smoothness with some of the moves and I actually like how this year your bar builds up so you can use a signature move...then follow it with a finisher. I hated that you had to store it last year to use it as a signature.

I also like how interference happens in exhibition matches. When I was Dibiase Vs Kofi I had Rhodes at ringside with me and half way through the match Triple H came out and tried to interfere.

I think the only "special" deal is you have to create one, finalise, then go back in and edit. Every time I edit, it asks if I want to make this an alt attire. Which would begreat, if I wasn't just making tweaks.

If you make a second attire, the attributes don't carry over. Incredibly gay, but someone has apparently found a way around this. Go in and edit your original attire. Change everything to what you want the second attire to be, then go to finalize and hit submit application. It will ask you if you want to save changes as an alternate attire. Click yes, and it will do so, as well as carry over your original's stats.

I havn't actually tried this yet, mind you, but word is, thats the way to do it.

Also fyi, if you make a wrestler with a paint tool logo, you can delete the logo after he is saved, and it will still be on his attire. This pretty much means we have unlimited paint tool slots.

And the Highlight Reel mode itself....if you pause the match and do a highlight reel...it only lasts like 30 seconds. So if you do another one and save it, you cant splice them together cause it says its from a different match? Are you serious? Or am I doing it wrong?

Also, when you go outside to the ring, the camera angle sucks.

Here's something thats good:

I put the mode on hard, made a CAW, then went into career, had a tough match against Evan Bourne, then lost against Cody Rhodes and TBK, and I actually tried to beat them. So I actually put effort into it....when the other games I could beat them piece of chocolate cake.

Also, you can edit the rules in career mode. That's swell.

What do you mean you can't select it?

Another gripe: If you have a finisher moment (And probably signature, too) from the turnbuckle and go into the highlights, the clip ends right at the start of the move. Which sucks, because I got a pretty sick impact out of one, and wanted to throw it in a highlight reel.

Auto targeting seems shittier than before. Haven't tried manual yet, so I can't talk.

The game still has its flaws, but it's the most solid WWE game in ages. I'm not a fan of them trickling in new features, because I know next year they'll probably add in a new finisher position and shit, but there's too much business in doing that for us to stop that shit.

One thing I'd like to see is smoother transitions between parts of the User Finishers. They still look kinda blocky at points.

Also, they took out the fucking patterns for clothing. Things like camo, flag patterns, and tye dye. I know you can technically do a flag logo, but it ain't the same. Most of the time, it doesn't matter too much, but some ideas work better with the pattern options. Paint tool is nice, but I don't like the dropping of features. And they seriously need to relax the point system. Though so far I haven't had a CAW where I needed more than the allotted points, I haven't exactly been pulling out the stops, either. I always start simple.

Also, THANK GOD you can choose your abilities and level up your stats as you see fit. I'm fine with having to earn the stats, but it was annoying that you had to play a certain way every time to get the "right" stats before. I'm still having trouble raising my technique, mostly because I generally dont'sit around and let people hit me if I don't have to. So it's slightly a chore, but nowhere near as bad.

I can't select it....like you know how Rematch and Exit are highlighted in white? Highlight Reel for me is just shaded black, and when I go to select it it goes "err" and doesn't let me.

I don't see what's so hard. You change the characters, add the text, add sounds/music/chants, and camera angles. If you look through the menus it's very straight forward.

I think you can preview. Just finish the scene and I think there's a preview option in the screen where it shows the calendar.
