He'd have matches against people like Taker, Triple H, etc, taking the place of guys like Rock, Austin, etc (with their move sets). And after every match, his promo would simply be "VINTAGE ME!"

Quick question: Other than locked character's moves/intros/signs, are there any locked CAW parts (moves clothing) that is also locked?

I notice that for all of the 234789237654 moves put in or put back in, there are a few staples missing. It's a little annoying.

Yeah that's normal - springboard dropkicks generally hit as a kind of splash if your opponent is on the mat.

Well guys, I rented the PS2 version since I still dont have a 360 or PS3 yet, and I can say all in all its alright, but they did recycle a bunch of stuff from last year. I mean all in all its not a bad game by any means, but since I have been watching videos from the PS3 and 360 versions, the PS2 one just doesnt cut it for me. It made me realize that I seriously need to get a 360.

Pisses me off that they never seem to build on their "New Innovation of the Year" with each release.

Last year was all the stuff with tag teams...which seems to have been removed completely. Before that it was the fighting in the crowd...which seems to have been removed completely.

Why must they give us something new, only to strip it of other factors? Why can't they build on what they have already done? Especially given that the graphics and gameplay are only ever marginally better/different.

I really liked the new tag team system. As far as I know, the crowd fight is gone. Kinda sucks..I like to re-create some of my favorite ECW battles.

I really like that they actually have new moves in it this year and that they actually have a "New" label next to them so you know they are new. And some of the moves are actually pretty good.

It was actually sony and microsoft's doing that restricted editing on downloaded caws. Not THQ. So I wouldn't expect it in a patch, next years edition, or ever for that matter. Makes the whole feature useless to me.

Actually you can't upload any caw you download, so that's not the issue. The real issue is a far more retarded reason. It's that the caws are seen by sony and microsoft as the property of their creators and editing them would be a copyright infringement.

Put them in a stable. Then give 2 of the stable-mates a set of tag titles. Put them against 2 other CAWs (who are also in a stable) in a tornado tag match for the belts. Have the CPU control all 4 guys.

All 4 guys will get point bonuses for being in a match with stable mates, being in a specialty match, and being in a title match...the winners will also get a couple extra points for, well, winning.

You can just do something else and come back later when the match is over, and restart it, and get more points.</font>

Put the difficulty on legendary, and put a.i. reversal sliders to max. Then play against your caw. That might do it.

Spent awhile looking through them and getting the "best" ones. Looking at WWE.com really the only guys I DIDN'T get were Curt Hawkins and Kung Fu Naki (the one I had sucked so I got rid of it)...but they have both been inactive.

My biggest disappointment is the Zack Ryder CAW I got...it's good, but there were better ones. The reason I settled for the one I did is because the others had absolutely no theme, I'd decided I'd like to at least have some music for each guy to enter to rather than silence. And it's good because a lot of CAW makers give themes that sound closest to their real music.

Gotta work on a paper today so I might try the tornado tag idea with reversals kicked up and build stats all day as I work. Then I can try getting my sim fed started up.</font>

This. Although I find it goes even quicker if you play the match. Assign one guy the fan favorite ability, then do a tornado tag table match for the titles. Throw a guy to the outside and immediately throw him on the table. Activate your fan fav ability and hit the table finisher for the win in under a minute. You'll still get up to 20 points for the match.

Right now I'm writing my paper while having the Hart Dynasty and Stable No. 16 (aka Zack Ryder and Yoshi Tatsu) :shifty: fighting a series of matches. The winning team banks like 15 points each time, the losing team only gets 1...I'm just letting the points build, I'll allocate them later when I sit down and actually plan out the kind of stats they should have. When I'm ready, I'll just do an exhibition match with each guy individually and make sure to strike, grapple, taunt, etc...whatever stats I want to build for the guy, and then allocate my points.</font>

Dunno, wouldn't count on that. A lot of the really good creators on there have stated they won't be releasing formulas this year, with the addition of community creations. Can't say I blame them, as typing out 64 layer formulas can be a huge chore.

That said, you might be able to find some face formulas in the forums, as people are still asking for those. As I said, making the hardest attires isn't difficult if you have even a little bit of creativity. But the face morphing is the biggest pain in the ass.

Unlocking Jesse in Edge's RTWM was a major pain in the ass for me. I had to disable auto target, do my finisher on every guy, and then turn auto target back on so I could get them all incapacitated eaiser long enough for the pin.

His later wwe days is when he wore it. Mainly in his fued with angle after he won the title. I'm actually not going with the purple anyway. Found a better, more detailed pic of the cross, on black tights with turquoise flames. Looks pretty good, so I'll prolly change the colors to that when I redo the cross.

Paint tool is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. Although I really wish you could use the d-pad to move the cursor, as it is much more precise.

Also, dunno if I mentioned this, but paint tool technically has an infinite amount of save slots. If you upload a caw to live, you can delete any custom logos he uses, and they'll still be on his attire both online and off. That's a godsend because this eddie took up half the spots as it is.

And a heads up before you get too far into creating a logo. You can't have a high res and low res logo on the same outfit. And you can only have 2 high res logos per attire, where as you can have 10 lowres.

Which pretty much means high res is useless.

I've given him 4 costumes. His SF IV one, his SF IV alternative attire (the sparring mask/head gear etc), a Ryo style bright-orange look and a Ryu costume. Just gotta do his moves list and he's all set.
I agree with Funky Fly that the hair in CAW is poor. I can find no long pnytails. Anything close has a bunch of other crap going on with it.

Once I'm done with Dan, I'll probably try other characters. I don't ant to do the usual guys. No Mario or Wario or Spiderman etc. I'm trying the unusual guys. Thinking of trying to make Zeke and the female character from Zombies Ate My Neighbours next.

Question concerning Mickie James' RTWM.

Do I have to do it twice in order to unlock The Brian Kendrick's alternate attire and Natalya's Mickie James attire? I'm assuming you do.

I'm guessing that the part where you have to pick who to talk to (Either Kendrick or Natalya) has something to do with it. I ran out of time to pick and it automaticly chose Natalya. So I ended up unlocking Kendrick's alternate attire.

Which is a bit pointless when you think about it. :-\

the week when it happens doesn't let you save. It's right after No Way Out. (If I remember correctly)

You have your match at No Way Out, then you have Raw where you pick who to talk to, then after you pick, you deal with the match that happens right after it, then it goes to the next week where you get to save.

So if I was to do what you said, it would mean having to go through two, somewhat long, matches again.

Though at the time I was playing it, it was 4am and I really wasn't thinking straight, due to me being incredibly tired and just wanting to get Mickie's RTWM over and done with. :p

I hope we get a DLC of more CAW parts. I've been trying to make certain characters and things just aren't there. It's not outlandish things either. I thought I'd try making Weird Ed from Maniac Mansion. I got the berret, the glasses, the shirt (had to settle for short sleeves) but there are no trousers that match the military shirt. It's all leather and denim trousers. Also, they actually have his belt in this game. The belt that goes from his shoulder, across his chest and to his waist but it goes through his shirt so he only has half of it on show. Probably going to abandon him.

I seriously hate playing Ladder matches now, even one on one. The fucking meter is too fucking long. That needs a serious overhaul because the current meter takes the fun out of the game.

I've said it before, they need a system where you can win it at any time during the match, whether it's a shorter meter that regens every time you fail to grab it (and maybe loses a bit overall), a mini game or a combination of the two.

So..with the game being out about 2 weeks now..I was going to ask you guys..how do you guys think the game stacks up against games like Here Comes The Pain and SVR 2006? I personally like the game play a lot..I feel like it has slowed down a bit and the AI feels a little more realistic. The roster is decent..HCTP and SVR 2006 have pretty kick ass rosters, specially HCTP. The entire connectivity, caw system, etc of 2010 really gives it some sick replay value. If it's better than the others..I don't know yet. I guess I need to keep playing.

I never realized Story Designer Mode would be so... detailed and complex.

I'm currently creating an epic story where my usual CAW returns after nearly 6 months of injury. Week 1, he complains that he's not 100%, but is ordered by Vince to compete in a match with Chavo. His former valet approaches him, asks if they're still cool, and he just walks away.

Week 2, still in progress, sees my CAW state that he is, in fact, 100%, and plans on going after Santino, who is the I/C champion in my game. To even the odds, he enlists his former valet to be at his side in the game.

There are some twists planned, and this is actually pretty exciting. It's basically designing your own Season Mode, and it's an amazing feature that means insane replay value. I'm psyched, and glad I spent $46 or so on this game. Well worth it IMO.

OK, fair enough. Not a criticism or anything, but after several (probably in the "at least 3-6" range) finishers, your opponent should stay down long enough to give you or your partner time to knock the illegal tag partner of your opponent to the floor more than long enough for you to get the easy "1..., 2..., 3!"

I actually changed it up now. I knock them down, rile up the crowd so I get an automatic finisher. Then I used that fired up thing, so I have three. I hit all three times, and then just keep throwing them off while getting the title. It's much faster.

I sometimes do that for ladder matches. Other times I just play it the way THQ intended....with me sloooowly getting the meter down and getting knocked off the ladder over and over.

But for MITB matches, I just get one ladder and run to the top of the stage and set the ladder up at the side, then grab the other ladder and hold it until everyone walks up the ramp to get the other ladder. When all my opponents are at the top of the ramp, I climb up and loosen the briefcase. I just keep doing that over and over until I win. That's been my stragety since the match type debuted in the SvR series. Though I haven't played the MITB match yet on SvR10 so I don't know if they've blocked off the ramp with an invisible wall or what.

Also, is it just me or does the new referee suck? He takes forever to start a 3-count.

I've had about 7 Championship Scramble matches and I've only ever won twice. The other five times have ended in a draw because nobody managed to get a pin because the referee was so slow at starting a count, that the pin was interupted by an opponent before the referee even counted to one. :wtf:

Same for a Falls Count Anywhere match. If there's more than two people in that match and you pin outside the ring, the referee runs to the ropes, BOUNCES of them but stops, then slides out the ring and positions himself on his hands and knees and THEN counts. By that time, all my opponents have had time to run from where they are outside the ring and break up the pin. What's worse is the referee goes BACK into the ring, even though all the action is on outside the ring. :wtf:

Thing that gets me is how sometimes you'll hear the third slap of the mat before the pin gets broken up, but it doesn't count because you're in the cutscene in which the pin is getting broken up.

I still say it's much more fun than just "Hit 'B'/'Circle' and hold until your opponent's meter runs out, eliminating them." Plus it seems to take a few seconds off the old way of getting eliminations to happen. I'd say the new Rumble controls are worth getting used to in the long run, even at the expense of it not being much of a challenge anymore.

Right, but this is just the beginning stage. I mean, there is tons of empty slots in the game if you access it with a hacking device. What hackers are trying to do at this point is figure out how to fill up those empty spots with characters from previous games and alter their move sets. It will be interesting to see what this development can offer in the future.

There seemed to be lots of problems with it.

Like the second match you have against JBL, and Orton is on Commentary. He interferes in the match and gives JBL a chair. I knocked the chair out of JBL's hands and continued to fight him, but then JBL got the chair and he hits me over the head with it in full view of the referee, yet, he didn't get DQ'd. So the match is still going on and Orton starts hitting me and breaking up my pins, and still, no DQ gets called and the match continues.

So I look at the rules and notice that DQ is on but I'm guessing that's a mistake and I just go to see if I'll be DQ'd or not, so I hit JBL with a chair and got DQ'd. :wtf:

Next thing is that at No Way Out, I have a Steel Cage Match against JBL, and I see the opening of No Way Out and everything, but when HBK and JBL make there way to the ring and during the match itself, the arena is now a Raw arena. :wtf:

After the match, Michael Cole was talking and then suddenly, another voice spoke and said what sounded like "It doesn't look like it". It didn't sound like Michael Cole or Jerry Lawler though, it sounded like a deep voice and was louder than what Cole and Lawer were talking like before. But it probably was Cole but it was just bad sound editing or something.

Last major thing is that at my match at WrestleMania, when Cole does the recap segment, he said that I refused JBL's offer of facing him at WrestleMania and it showed a picture of HBK being held back by Orton and JBL talking to him but I didn't refuse, I actually accepted his offer first time. :lol:

Also, to end off this massive post, all the way through my RTWM, my matches always got introduced as "And Their Opponents". Even though they were all Single Matches.

Got all the trophies now and completed the game, but for some irritating reason my CAW went from 100 points down to 34 points and I lost my moveset! Gotta redo all my attributes from scratch. I didn't delete anything from my PS3 or save over my CAW so I have no idea how this happened.

Did you erase the save of your RTWM file or Career? I did and lost most of my attributes.

Yeah, it sucks when you can't even get rid of either of those once you have started them just for fear of losing all your CAW's attribute points so far and having to start from scratch. I've done enough in Career and RTWM that my CAW is up to a 94 overall, and I'm not erasing anything, especially when all I've got to work on is my TEC (technical), which is at 50 (lvl. 10) and SUB (submission), which is at 45 (lvl. 9) attributes; the rest are at 99, and I've got the Anaconda Vice 02, a struggle submission as a finisher, so with enough submission victories I should have submission maxed out in no time, and I've finally got most of the cadences/"pacing" of all the people I defend my belts against down, so if I just manage to counter 6-12 moves a match that should max out in due time also.

I kept all my CAW's attributes when I deleted the saved RTWM file. I'm on the PS3, no idea if that matters.

I saved over my CAW RTWM and kept the stats. So it's probably deletion = bad, save over = safe.

I was playing Shawn Michaels' RTWM again about an hour ago and what I said earlier about it was a mistake.

It wasn't Michael Cole who said anything after the match at No Way Out. It was actually an EMT saying "Do you want us to help you Shawn?"

Also, after that, this happened to me.

I deleted my CAW RTWM and I still have my stats, moves and abilities. I'm changed my attires multiple times and the most I've ever lost was abilities which I just reselected from the Create A Moveset screen. Even that only happened once.

So I got one of those fucking radial scratches. Been trying the toothpaste method but I'm still getting problems. Before I couldn't play at all because it couldn't load player models on the character select screen and would freeze. Now I only seem to have problems with the CAW models. Just had a match where my CAW's skin was missing.

I'm thinking of trying to set up one based around the fact that the WWE is trying to limit superstars' use of stuff like twitter and whatever, only maybe just use SvR '10 as the catalyst itself, and have Shelton lead a huge revolt amongst the most hardcore gamers in the WWE, superstar wise.

I finally finished my CAW of Dan Hibiki and uploaded him with 4 costumes, his symbol on his back and a created finisher if anyone is interested.

I'm working on Yusuf Amir from TBoGT now. The costume is accurate but I'm having a tough time with his shape.
