I told this story when it happened but, my buddy went to the Florida/LSU game a few years ago in Baton Rouge.. Anyway they were out partying and Tebow was at the bar the Friday night before the game.. Tebow hit on his g/f and gave her his cell number.. She put it on face book and like 500 people (including my brother) started texting and prank calling him..

The number got changed the following Monday..

Rob Gronkowski, a tight end on the Patriots, appears to have spent his bye-week hanging out with porn star Bibi Jones. Her bio on twitter claims she’s a “new” adult film star. She’s on Facebook, too. Go friend her.

Will the Boston media grill Gronk about this on Monday or Tuesday, whenever the Patriots’ next practice is? You know the New York media would.

 Saints destroying the Colts 62-7 and there is still a lot of time left in the 4th. Already broke either most points ever allowed for a home game or any game in Colts history.

Colts have way more problems than just missing Peyton although maybe this is Brees and Sean Payton's way of showing again who really "owns" New Orleans (SB 44 had a lot of talk about the Mannings being important in the area and their connections).

St. Louis has a really soft schedule the rest of the way and Indy still has to play Jacksonville twice, so I doubt either of them will do it. But Miami doesn't have an easy game left on their schedule. The only sub .500 team they still have to play is Philly, and that really doesn't count.

DaveBrawl
10-24-2011, 12:21 PM
Miami still plays the Redskins and if anyone can be a big favorite and choke away a supposedly easy win it's Washington.

Nark Order
10-24-2011, 01:26 PM
The 9ers have very little true tests until the playoffs, which is good for getting a solid record but not so good for developing as a team more. The Ravens and the Steelers won't be easy but all of the division games seem like they'll be fairly easy if the west keeps playing like it's playing. I expect an unexpected loss here or there though.

I'm thinking 11-5 this year, which would be incredible.

The Saints historically have not been good at covering large point spreads at home. This worked wonders as a strategy last year..not so much this year so far. The line vs the Rams is only like -11.5 which is absolutely ridiculous. They'll have that covered in the first quarter, especially if the Rams have Feely again.

Wow Ravens are soo slow when trying to rush a no huddle style.

At what point do the Ravens start considering a new QB/system or maybe Ray Lewis actually punching Flaco for all the times he's "wasted" a great defensive showing.

What a fun game that was to be at. There were honestly a ton of Ravens fans there. The bar we pregame at across from the stadium was raping the Ravens fans for parking though. They were charging them $50.

As for the game itself, I think the quote of the night came from a black guy who kept saying, "the Jaguars is gonna lose tonight, cuz I know it for a fact."

When asked how he knew this, he simply replied, "cuz I simmed it on Madden."

SPEECHLESS! The dude disappeared by the 4th quarter though.

From Something Awful's Football Funhouse:

http://i.imgur.com/BGi4U.png

Please be seated

Now, I want you to remember that no Chump team ever won a Superbowl by sucking for High Draft picks.

He won it by making the other poor dumb Teams lose for their picks.

Men, all this stuff you’ve heard about The Broncos not wanting to fight, wanting to stay out of the playoffs, is a lot of horse shit. Broncos traditionally love to win. All real Broncos love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, the big league ball player, the toughest boxer. Denver loves a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Broncos play to win all the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why the Broncos have never lost and will never lose again. Because the very thought of losing
is hateful to the Broncos, Denver and me.

Now, an Team is a Army. It lives, eats, sleeps, fights as a team. This individuality stuff is a bunch of crap. The bilious bastards who wrote that stuff about individuality for the Saturday Evening Post don’t know anything more about real games than they do about fornicating. They may suck me off every week on TV, but they do not understand this is a team sport.

We have the finest Uniforms and equipment, the best spirit and the best men in the world. You know, by God I actually pity those poor bastards we’re going up against. By God, I do. We’re not just going to score on the bastards, we’re going to cut out their living guts and use them to grease the treads of our pink breast cancer shoes. We’re going to murder those lousy Raider bastards by the bushel.

Now, some of you boys, I know, are wondering whether or not you'll chicken out under 3rd down. Don't worry about it.
I can assure you that you will all do your duty. Oakland, and injustice, are the enemy. Wade into them. Spill their blood. Deliver helmet to helmet hits. When you put your hand into a bunch of goo that a moment before was your blocker's face, you'll know what to do.

Now there’s another thing I want you to remember. I don’t want to get any messages saying that we are holding our position. Managing the clock. Nursing a lead.

We’re not holding anything. Let the cowards do that. We are advancing constantly and we’re not interested in holding onto anything except the ball. In the endzone.
Touchdown.

We're going to hold onto that ball by the nose and we're going to kick them in the ass. We're going to kick the hell out of them all the time and we're gonna go through them like crap through a goose.

There’s one thing that you men will be able to say when you get back home. And you may thank God for it. Thirty years from now when you’re sitting around your fireside with your grandson on your knee and he asks you what did you do in the great NFL, you won’t have to say, "Well, I shoveled shit in Louisiana." You'll say "Gfarble garble", because you concussed the hell out of yourself.

Alright now, you sons-of-bitches, you know how I feel. Oh, and I will be proud to lead you wonderful guys into battle – anytime, anywhere.

That’s all.

Tebow will save us all

As a firm supporter of religion and a Creationist, I witnessed a miracle on the field last Sunday. It's a true hero's tale, David and Goliath, if you will. Tim Tebow was once a hero in his state at the university that bears his name. Upon receiving the honorary title of "First Round Draft Pick" in the heathen land of Colorado, he unfortunately fell into obscurity, being placed behind an inferior, redneck alcoholic who is not half the man nor a twelth of the player of he who is Tebow. This time out of the attention of his adoring fans left Tebow in a state of moral dilemma and tears as self doubt slowly but surely poured into his brain.

That all changed, though, as his time drew near. The alcoholic finally drank himself into failure, and Tebow's hard work, dedication, and cool tees finally paid when St. Elway of Stanford said "Go ye, young Tebow, to the frontlines as starter, and win. As I your Father and the Lord cammand ye and with our love you shall do everything and anything. Amen". Tebow journeyed with his followers back to his homeland where the evil insidious aquatic beasts occupied a hellish, sinful city.

"I AM TEBOW, SINNERS! ACCEPT THE LORD OR BE VANQUISHED INTO THE FIRES OF HELL!" he said as a rallying cry. Unfortunately, times were tough for Tebow, as most of the trial was dominated by the hellions. In the final three minutes, young Timothy had not given up. And finally THE LORD appeared and gave Timothy the strength and wisdom to overtake the beasts and win the day. Much celebration and drinking of wine was done after Tim's victory.

Tim Tebow puts the H in "Jesus H Christ". What happened yesterday was a miracle. Any time some atheist swine asks me for proof of the existence of God, I will point to this game. Anyone who doubts Tebow and thus the Lord your God better pack some hot dogs when he dies because he is going to be enjoying the fires of hell for quite a while.

NFL Network carried Terrell Owens‘ workout live on Tuesday afternoon, and Owens had better hope some NFL front office personnel were watching, because no teams were there.

Linday Soto was live on the scene and reported that no teams were confirmed to be in attendance, and that there wasn’t a single team’s scout in the area “unless somebody snuck in and isn’t wearing team gear.” The workout took place on a high school field in Calabasas, California, and the stands were empty.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean no one is interested in Owens. Coaches, general managers and scouts may have watched the workout on TV, and teams bring in veteran free agents for workouts all the time, so it’s entirely possible that Owens will still get an individual workout.

Owens started the workout wearing a shirt reading “I Am” on the front and “Ready” on the back, then took the shirt off to reveal his chiseled upper body. Although there was no 40-yard dash in the workout, Owens ran pass routes and did agility tests and appeared capable of running and cutting without any problems with his surgically repaired knee.

However, being able to run and cut on a field all by himself is quite a bit different from being able to perform on an NFL field on Sundays. And there are some questions about whether Owens is really ready to compete.

Owens’ former teammate Jerry Rice said on ESPN that Owens looked like “He’s just not in football shape.” And NFL Network’s Charles Davis said Owens seemed tentative in his movement, as if he wasn’t sure whether he could trust his knee.

So Owens’ public workout may not have told us much of anything. The big question now is whether any team will bring him in for a workout without the cameras rolling.

Not only are the Rams winless, they aren't competitive. The 0-6 club is being outscored by 19.2 points per game and has lost by at least 12 points five times. The Colts are the only other team averaging double-digit losses (16.3 differential) this year, though it took Sunday's 62-7 shellacking from the Saints for that figure to plummet so far. For comparison's sake, the 2008 Lions, infamous as the only team ever to finish 0-16, lost by an average of 15.6 points per week.

It seems like deja vu for New Orleans after last week's drubbing of Indianapolis: Winless opponent missing its starting quarterback and ravaged by injuries elsewhere as well. Overconfidence could be the Saints' biggest obstacle, though they claim it won't creep in.

The mismatches are everywhere. The Saints are the league's top scoring offense, the Rams its worst. New Orleans QB Drew Brees is on a torrid streak that should get hotter vs. a decimated secondary while St. Louis journeyman A.J. Feeley is making just his second start in four years behind an ineffective O-line now sans RT Jason Smith. Playing ball control behind RB Steven Jackson would seem to be the Rams' best bet ... assuming they can stay within striking distance.
