Breaking news when I posted it Harvey
El Capitano Gatisto

Be interesting where he ends up. Good timing for the Ireland job, but I can't see it because he probably still hates the FAI.
Obvious choice is Celtic, but I think there'll be other top European sides interested,
Mr. Monday Morning

Unlike you and him I am not a pie-muncher
Confused
11-18-2005, 11:20 AM
Yeah, I’d have thought he’d move to Celtic for a season or two.
Don’t know if he’s interested in management. For controversies sake I fucking hope so…if he moves to Celtic I’d have thought he’s guaranteed the top job in a few years.
Supposed to have not been so mutual now, meant to have had a huge argument with Ferguson which resulted in him being told he'd get no new contract and being stripped of the captaincy so Keane told him to get fucked and quit basically.

Ah, the age old "It's Mickey Mouse if we're either not in it or we didn't win it" thing, so refreshing to see things don't change over time
We should've won. I couldn't help thinking that this is how fans of other teams must feel whenever they play us, you piss all over a side for about 85 of the 90, lose a goal, get a shitload of offside decisions given against you, 3 goals disallowed (1 should've, 1 was 50/50 and 1 was 100% onside) and manage to lose.
Oh well, even if we had won, no one would take us seriously as the best side in the world, its probably a god send for Liverpool fans anyway.
Should be interesting how it impacts on the players though

In practice, no it doesn't. But when does any knock-out tournament result in the 'best team in the competition' winning? By this logic Chelsea would have won both domestic cups last season (instead of just one, which we shall not talk about in further detail) and Barcelona or AC Milan should have won the European Cup.
As it turns out, knock-out competitions are determined by so many other variables than just 'who is the better team', but as many will know from last May, how well a team can perform on any one day.
p.s. Although in theory, we are the second best team in the world.

This from the bbc.co.uk/sport website
Liverpool winger Harry Kewell has hit back at his critics - particularly those who questioned his injury in the Champions League final in May.
Kewell, 27, limped out after 23 minutes but has now told the Daily Mirror: "Everybody thought I had thrown it in.
"I could not believe the reaction from some people. I did not realise there were so many qualified doctors watching the match. My groin just snapped
Firstly, Mr Kewell, your sarcastic "I did not realise there were so many qualified doctors watching the match" comment will not go down well with the thousands of fans who have been patient and given you the chance to play. Now that you are finally looking decent enough to warrant some restricted action in the famous red jersey I would be thanking the fans for their support, not bashing them for being supporters.
Secondly, you stupid Aussie cunt, we didn't boo because we thought you faked it. We're not that stupid - trust us (even if we are scousers). We know that as a professional, this cup final was the biggest match of your life and no player would ever voluntarily walk away. The reason we boo'd was that during that match, and probably everything you'd done in a Liverpool shirt up to that point, was utter shite. You've actually been a liability. Rather than settling down and play football, you spent the first few months of your Liverpool career sueing Gary Linekar over comments which most people believe in anyway.
You are a disgrace to Liverpool football club, your fellow professionals and football in general. I will not cheer for you or anything you do from this point on. From this point on, you are a nothing to liverpool football club.
Now go spend your £40,000 per week on some shampoo and condition, you fucking prima donna.

Has anyone had more unprovked jabs at a manager ever than Mourinho on Benitez? Now he's saying all we can do is defend....right, and winning 10 games in a row is all because you can defend and nothing else? With the whole Wenger/Mourinho thing, they were sniping at each other, but Benitez practically never speaks on Chelsea unless Mourinho comes up with another snide unneccessary comment.
He's a great man motivator, with a lot of world class players and a lot of money bank rolling him, but I'm certain he is jealous of what Benitez has achieved with Valencia and Liverpool, regardless of what Mourinho did at Porto.

I hope Burton beat United tomorrow just because of all the United fans I was watching the game with tonight talking like cocks. I hope half your team gets crocked too after some of teh comments tonight.

How was it out of line? As for Vine diving, he did what every Premiership player does when they are looking for a penalty and ran into the goalie.
The best team won no doubt but the ref had a nightmare. If I have ever seen a Premiership ref sticking up for a Premiership team then it was in this match. Luton deserved better. Benitez moaning like a little bitch was priceless too.
And to add to awful refs, this ref during the Clyde vs. Celtic match is a joke. Clyde just had two perfectly good goals disallowed. Well they just scored one as I type this HAHAHAHAHAHA :D

As a Chelsea fan I guess I'm happy with the draw. Everton should win and they'll be a tough side to beat but they're not Chelsea class, but Millwall would be such a scary atmosphere and the Millwall lot would be so determined to do us that it would be a difficult match. It's been a long time since Chelsea faced Millwall, I think the last time was in like 1989 or something when all the horses came onto the pitch. I bet the docker boys are drooling over the possibility of facing Chelsea, not drooling over seeing England's finest club and players, drooling over the fact that there will be major trouble and they can have a ruck with their old rivals.
Personally I hope we get Millwall, although it'd be an intimidating atmosphere it would also be a brilliant atmosphere as only the true Chelsea boys would be there. Not the posh knobs sitting at the Bridge who don't know the words to any songs. Plus, Millwall are the weaker side, on paper at least.

Wow, was looking for the old porn passwords and thought I'd pop into the old Footy Forum.
There won't be trouble, Millwall's ground hasn't had proper trouble in years, nor has Chelsea's. They both have their racist fans and most of both sets of fans are a bunch of cunts, but when the police stepped and eliminated football violence lots of the actual hooligans went stopped going, Babbsy was the leader of our main firm and he sits their with his son now, away from all the trouble, it really has all died out.
If we get Milwall I'm heading straight down the box office and queuing overnight for my ticket. Will be a good game with a class atmosphere. There's not going to be any trouble unless your looking for it, and I'm hardly gunna throw on some Burberry and have a row, or wear a Chelsea shirt. Went down West Ham the other week, and if I didn't know better I'd say our fans loved each other, not even the slightest hint of any trouble kicking off.
And the posh knobs don't go to away games anyway, Man City aways the only time I've been unfortunate enough to be caught up in a bad non-singing atmosphere, otherwise our away fans are always class.
And last time we played them was the F.A Cup in 1995.

Must be pretty embarrassing to be a former Arsenal fan who now supports Middlesbrough

What a bunch of fucking tossers, pay good money to go to Hillsborough and they get great backing, which was about the only bright spot of the day, but still put in an inept, passionless performance. Patrick Kisnorbo is up there with Junior Lewis as one of the worst players i've ever seen aswell.
Worst position for 15 years, cheers for Fryatt but fuck off Levein.
