The Browns made an offer but Green dont want to go to the browns, I heard the Dolphins is the likely destination.

Lance Briggs flew down to Atlanta to meet with several members of the Falcons including Bobby Petrino and Keith Brooking. The meeting went well and Briggs is apparently very excited about the imminent conclusion of this trade.

Rumor that KC might be looking to shop Larry Johnson, they want picks and don't want to pay him?

There's like 6 teams that would have the cap room for him, but only 2 of those that would probably have the pics. Raiders and Browns.

I don't think you'll ever see another Hershal Walker deal, but I'd think KC would want at least 3 1st round picks for him, or 2 and some othe pics?

Trading Green, looking to move LJ, is KC trying to rebuild?

I've heard no such thing. It better fucking not be anyways.

but the more likely scenario is that they are searching for some depth to help share Johnson's heavy workload.

Hope this is the reason.

Mr. Monday Morning
04-24-2007, 08:23 AM
Apparently he has hit performance targets that will let him void his deal after next season, much like Kerney did recently. So it's no wonder they're looking to see if they can get value for him now. They should just take Buffalo to town and get like all their picks.

Dude fits perfect in Chicago's system, should have just ante up and signed him (Much like the Patriots should have done with Deion Branch)

Although the Pats where 4 points away from the Superbowl so maybe Chicago is making the right move

just wondering, do you reall think so?

Keep in mind, the issue was the money per year or signing bonus, the issues was he wanted to void a year of his contract, something that no pat player has done (see: Brady & Seymore).

I just couldn't see them doing things for Branch that they wouldn't do for those two.

Supreme Olajuwon

What I'm wondering is what happens to the Pats WR next season. They signed a guy with #1 talent (Stallworth), a legit deep ball threat (Washington) and tremendous slot receiver (Welker). So unless the Pats are planning on running 4 or 5 WR out there all the time it seems like some people are gonna be unhappy next year and we all know if there's a position that produces drama queens it's WR.

I don't see it as an issue, what's more important, getting the ball 10x a game or a good chance to win a ring?

The Pats typically bring in good character players, and have a good vetran core that keeps people "in line".

On a different team, word is Detroit wants to trade down from the #2, but still wants to be in the top 10.

Still wouldn't be shocked to see them take Calvin Johnson at #2... cause ya know Millen can't stay away from top WR.

Although, logic was they're probably looking at Quinn and think they can get him later in the draft.

Oakland I think goes with Russell, unless they pull of a QB trade (see: Trent Green) in which case it's Calvin Johnson.

Supreme Olajuwon
04-24-2007, 04:17 PM
All this hype that's starting to build around Trent Edwards (QB from Stanford) makes me think that Oakland, Detroit, or Cleveland will grab him their 2nd round pick.

Does Miami want Quinn?

I don't know, I bet they could have worked something out without having to void out his final year. While Branch got his payday in Seattle, he would be better off staying in the Patriots system and putting up #'s and getting even more money down the line. So I am sure they could have worked something out, but I just think they wanted to make an example of this situation. I mean I can't really fault them too much though, they made it pretty far in the post-season and now they have two first round picks to get some players to help in the areas they where lacking last season (MLB and DB)

As for players not being happy, I don't think Washington would complain since he has never caught a lot of balls in his career...and for Welker I can't see him being the type of dude who will be getting upset plus he will be getting plenty of touches on returns. Also, I can't see Stallworth (or any of the other wideouts for that matter) putting up much of a fuss since they probably realize there is a lot of other capable wideouts on the team.

From Chiefs site:

However, Hall’s production has slipped noticeably over the past two years. In 2006, his average kickoff return, 22.8 yards, ranked 24th in the NFL. His punt return average, 8.9, was tied for 16th. For the second straight year, he had just one touchdown return after totaling at least two a year from 2002-2004.

Hall won't play receiver for us. Maybe in SOME situations, but he won't see too many snaps. Also, we dont have Mcdonald anymore, we lost him to Detroit. I don't think Dante is washed up. He needs a new start, new team. He will be fast on the turf in St.Louis. I can't wait. You all have probably not seen JR Reed, or Arlen Harris, or Mcdonald returning kicks/punts. Terrible.

Mr. Monday Morning
04-26-2007, 02:52 PM
Really, I thought McDonald re-signed? Ok that explains it a bit better, but still they could've just re-signed Ponder and not given up a 5th rounder and swapped down in the 3rd. Way too high a price, IMO.

Hope Mel Kiper is wrong and the Jets don't take Aaron Ross. Don't see him doing much better than a Hank Poteat and Justin Miller combo. Hoping for a linebacker or a big DT. Timmons is probably my ideal guy, but Posluzny could work, Beason from Miami too. Also if somehow Alan Branch or Carriker falls to the Jets that would be supreme. Mostly just hoping Mangini doesn't make a fool of himself (WE WANT SAPP)

I seem to remember another highly touted QB a few years ago who could throw the ball 60 yards on 1 knee.

-Kyle Boller :o

I dunno having a strong arm is great, but anything over 60 yards seems pretty trivial in the NFL to me.

RP
04-28-2007, 01:15 PM
Jamarcus Russell is the next Jeff George.

RP
04-28-2007, 01:16 PM

RP
04-28-2007, 01:35 PM

04-28-2007, 02:12 PM
Vikes will get either Quinn or Peterson

RP
04-28-2007, 02:13 PM
Occording to Marshal Faulk, none of these players drafted so far are worth a damn and will struggle. And has anyone notice that Marshall Faulk's face lights up when its his turn to talk. Like he's never been allowed to talk before.

MTH15
04-28-2007, 02:14 PM
Hopefully its Peterson.

RP
04-28-2007, 02:15 PM
LOL Everyone is passing up on Peterson because of " Medical situation ". JESUS FUCKING CHRIST its football. Injuries happen for fuck sakes. Peterson is gunna tear it up for someone.

Who will weeeeee piccccck....We should trade down with the Bears. Probably Jamaal Anderson

RP
04-28-2007, 02:24 PM
If the Dolphins dont take Quinn he could fall to Jacksonville or maybe KC. That could give Indianapolis an even better player with the last pick in the 1st round.

SammyG
04-28-2007, 02:25 PM
I dunno. I believe the Falcons take Okoye.

RP
04-28-2007, 02:27 PM

04-28-2007, 02:29 PM

KingofOldSchool
04-28-2007, 02:46 PM
Dolphins just wasted their Top 10 pick on a kick returner. UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE

RP
04-28-2007, 02:46 PM
I'm confident in saying the Dolphins will probably not make the playoffs for the next 10-15 years.

KingofOldSchool
04-28-2007, 02:47 PM
Looks like we know who'll get the 1st pick in 2008.

BRADY FUCKING QUINN

FearedSanctity
04-28-2007, 02:48 PM

Nervous Ferret
04-28-2007, 02:48 PM
Cleo Lemon :(

Good to see the fish shit themselves, was really worried about having to play Quinn twice a year for the next 15 years.

KingofOldSchool
04-28-2007, 02:48 PM
Who'll pick Quinn now?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Buffalo get Quinn.

I still don't see Losman being a guy the Bills should rely on.

RP
04-28-2007, 02:49 PM
Brady Quinn or an aging Trent Green with maybe 2-3 years left in him and a major knee repair and a few major concussions under his belt...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

The irony is that Quinn might drop right into KC's lap.

KingofOldSchool
04-28-2007, 02:49 PM
Don't worry Quinn, have your hot girlfriend suck you off under that table until you're drafted.

Nervous Ferret
04-28-2007, 02:50 PM
lol if he falls to Dallas :(

Doubt Buffalo will take him, they seem hell bent that J.P Losman is the reincarnation of Jim Kelly

RP
04-28-2007, 02:50 PM
Losman will probably have a breakout year next year despite his team. He was pretty decent last year.

SammyG
04-28-2007, 02:51 PM
If Amobi Okoye is available at 13, im gonna cream my pants.

RP
04-28-2007, 02:51 PM
LOL TED GINN. Maybe the worst pick in draft history.

KingofOldSchool
04-28-2007, 02:52 PM
I hope the Texans do not draft Okoye so the 49ers can draft them.

RP
04-28-2007, 02:52 PM
LOL TED GINN!!!! OMG. Theres like 4 recievers better then him. He's not even the best OSU receiver in this draft.

Mr. Monday Morning
04-28-2007, 02:53 PM
49ers won't take Okoye, he's not a fit for a 3-4 defense

KingofOldSchool
04-28-2007, 02:53 PM
LOL TED GINN!!!! OMG. Theres like 4 recievers better then him. He's not even the best OSU receiver in this draft.

But...but...Ginn can return kicks!11!!!

FearedSanctity
04-28-2007, 02:54 PM
I hope the Texans trade the pick to Denver so the Broncos can draft Okoye

SammyG
04-28-2007, 02:54 PM
Bruce Smith will announce the Bills pick.

RP
04-28-2007, 02:54 PM
Yah i guess they had tons of needs and the first priority was replacing Welker. LOL thats so embarressing. I wouldnt wanna be a fan of that team.

SammyG
04-28-2007, 02:55 PM
oh

KingofOldSchool
04-28-2007, 02:55 PM

SammyG
04-28-2007, 02:55 PM
oh sweet, nfl.com has a live feed of nfl network. here comes the houston pick.

RP
04-28-2007, 02:56 PM

Mr. Monday Morning
04-28-2007, 02:56 PM

Common Carriker.

UmbrellaCorporation
04-28-2007, 02:58 PM
I know there's like no likelihood of this, but I'd kill to see Quinn go to Baltimore or Green Bay.

SammyG
04-28-2007, 02:59 PM
Now I hope we take Carriker

Nervous Ferret
04-28-2007, 02:59 PM
Quinn is going to go to Carolina I think

RP
04-28-2007, 02:59 PM
Quinn dropping creates a major domino effect. The Colts are gunna have a really good player fall in there lap.

MTH15
04-28-2007, 02:59 PM
Lol he said when they picked Ginn Jr. "Thats suprising" I read his lips

SammyG
04-28-2007, 03:00 PM
Yeah i saw that too

KingofOldSchool
04-28-2007, 03:00 PM
I know there's like no likelihood of this, but I'd kill to see Quinn go to Baltimore or Green Bay.

Why would Green Bay select another young QB?

RP
04-28-2007, 03:02 PM
So Brett Farve can bury them?

UmbrellaCorporation
04-28-2007, 03:02 PM
I dunno. Something about it just feels right to me, but that's probably more of a personal thing.

And I was grabbing my ass cheeks hoping the Texans didn't take Quinn. Thank God.

Mr. Monday Morning
04-28-2007, 03:03 PM
It wouldn't totally shock me to see the Lions try to come back up and get Quinn if he keeps falling

Or the Browns, come to think of it

MTH15
04-28-2007, 03:04 PM
Rofl I'd love it

UmbrellaCorporation
04-28-2007, 03:04 PM

JaMarcus Bustell

KingofOldSchool
04-28-2007, 03:07 PM
I don't think Carolina will pick Quinn, they signed David Carr for a reason.

I can see Quinn going to Baltimore if the Bills don't take him.

MTH15
04-28-2007, 03:08 PM

FearedSanctity
