Yeah I noticed in Chicago people where like that when I was wearing a Red Sox shirt at a game. I dunno here its different, if you are wearing a shirt theres a good chance you'll have a few dudes telling you to fuck off. I dunno which one I like better either, like I guess first one is "more classy" but you are going to a baseball game - not church.

TBH, the only fans that piss me off are the fans that adopt a different team. Especially when there is a local team.
Like I went to a game at the Dome agaisnt the Red Sox, and there were people starting 'Lets go Red Sox' chants. I will give the benefit of a doubt and say that there are probably some people there who have real ties to New England, but there are so many who just jumped on the bandwagon after the World Series win. I mean come on, I have nothing against Red Sox fans who are real Red Sox fans, but if you are from western Wisconsin, Iowa, the Dakotas or Minnesota, you are a bitch.
For some reason it just really pissed me off that Minnesotans would root for the away team.
You should get Fifty Cent or somebody else who's black and pop-fashionable to wear a Twins jersey, you'd be a Charlotte Hornets-style hit overnight

Yeah, Fenway and Yankee Stadium are great when people wear opposing shirts. Sometimes it isn't even worth it wearing the others teams shirts there because people will start shit with you the whole game and you won't be able to watch.
I remember at Yankee Stadium for the '04 playoffs against the Sox we were sitting in the bleachers and there was 2 Red Sox fans where we were. And they were pretty much the only ones close to my section. Anyway, they got shit the whole game, it was non-stop for about 4 innings until they decided to move after then.
I don't know, I would feel pretty weird wearing a Yanks shirt into Fenway and NOT having a bunch of people be assholes.

Yankees have their playoff lineup out there tonight.
1. J Damon, CF
2. D Jeter, SS
3. B Abreu, RF
4. A Rodriguez, 3B
5. J Giambi, DH
6. G Sheffield, 1B
7. H Matsui, LF
8. J Posada, C
9. R Cano, 2B
A little crazy having your #9 hitter batting .343
Cano = best hitter in the AL in the second half
Not too bad at 2B either:p
Also those t-shirts are fuckin immense

The Twins have the same type of thing with Bartlett hitting ninth. I think it works though, because it balances out the back part of the lineup and doesn't really allow for an easy stretch.

the Mets had better be fucking around right now because if not it's going to be a v ery long....or should i say short postseason for them
13-1 ouch. Beckett and the BoSox got raped by the Devil Rays 11-0, now thats just plain silly.
I tipped the Braves for NL wildcard about 2 months ago:o
Also, how the hell have we ended up with the best record in the Majors?
Detroit and the Mets have both let it slide quite a bit in the second half.

lol Red Sox just had one of the most disappointing finishes in like the last 6 years and still have a good chance of having a better record than the Jays.
our coach is fist fighting our own players and we still have a better record
Jays have been pretty consistent where they are all season, the Sox were oncourse to win the division, it's a little different Gertie:p

Assuming neither Toronto or Boston goes crazy in the offseason, I think they are both going to be pretty even teams next season. Toronto can add a FA to take Shea Hillenbrands money and hope AJ Burnett gets healthy. Boston will probably do some trading, but Beckett will be back and probably a bit better. It will be an interesting offseason in the AL East.
they've wasted so much money as well
There on the hook for alot of koskie and hinske's contract next season as wlel as Towers AWFUL contract. lol not too keen on Ricchardi with $ to spend

Bud Selig Nervously Informs Ozzie Guillen That White Sox Aren't Making Playoffs
September 28, 2006 | Onion Sports
CHICAGO—With the regular season winding down and the White Sox seven games out of first place, a sweating, visibly shaking Bud Selig entered Ozzie Guillen's office Monday to tell the notoriously proud, hot-tempered manager that his team had been eliminated from playoff contention. "Excuse me, Ozzie, or Mr. Guillen, whichever you prefer… Well, Mr. Guillen, sir, I'm afraid I need to tell you something, and well, it's about the whole October thing and the Twins and the Tigers and the playoffs start soon and…" the commissioner reportedly said before leaning on Guillen's desk and accidentally knocking over a picture frame and a can full of pencils. "The whole league, I just want you to know, we were all really pulling for you, really all year, just thought you were doing a tremendous job, and, well… Okay, well, I'm going to leave now. See you in… April, then?" Selig later announced that, due to a miscommunication, the White Sox would be facing the Yankees in the first round of the playoffs, and promised that he "will definitely make it up to the Tigers next year."

Astros are 1/2 game back with Clemons going tonight. The Cards still have a game in hand and could play the Giants on Monday if needed.
I am going to be in Houston the 14th through the 20th (gf is moving back home, I will be following early next year), so I'm hoping to try to catch a game while I'm there.

HA! TWINS LOSE 6-3, NOW ALL TIGERS HAVE TO DO TO WIN THE A.L. CENTRAL IS TO BEAT K.C. TONIGHT, because if we do we go up 1 game on Minnesota with 1 game left Sunday for each team...and so if Detroit were to lose tomorrow and the Twins beat Chicago tomorrow, the A.L. Central would be tied, but via Detroit's record vs. the Twins this season, they (the Tigers, that is) would win the A.L. Central crown.

Before the start of the season, I was thinking the Jays would win 90 games. Today, before their last game they sit at 86. Despite all the injuries and the dive after the all star game, I must say, it's been good to have a competitive team to root for again. I expect better next year, JP has been told he can spend more money again, so hopefully he's smart about it and lands a mid infielder and perhaps another pitcher, a 4-5 guy. The bullpen has looked real good lately, League, Romero, Downs, Frasor.
...I wonder if Soriano could be lured to the Jays.

Report: Grimsley implicated Clemens, Pettitte, Tejada, others
October 1, 2006
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte and Miguel Tejada were among the players that a former major league pitcher accused of using performance-enhancing drugs, according to a federal agent's affidavit, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday on its Web site.
The agent for Clemens and Pettitte denied the accusations. Baltimore teammates Brian Roberts, Jay Gibbons and Tejada also were implicated in the sworn statement, the Times said; an Orioles spokeswoman said the team had not seen the report and had no comment.
In June, federal agents searched reliever Jason Grimsley's home in Arizona after the pitcher admitted using human growth hormone, steroids and amphetamines. Grimsley was later released by the Arizona Diamondbacks and suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball, and has not played since then.
In a 20-page search warrant affidavit signed by IRS Special Agent Jeff Novitzky, the Times reported, he said Grimsley identified other players who had used drugs. Those names were blacked out when the document was released.
The Times said an anonymous source with access to the document -- minus the crossouts -- let the newspaper see it, but kept the copy. The Times said a second source who had identified the other players provided additional details about the document.
According to the affidavit, the Times said, Grimsley told investigators Clemens and Pettitte "used athletic performance-enhancing drugs."
The affidavit also alleged Grimsley told federal agents that Roberts, Gibbons and Tejada "took anabolic steroids."
Novitzky also was the lead investigator in the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative probe. Two BALCO officials and Barry Bonds' personal trainer, Greg Anderson, served jail time after guilty pleas in that investigation.
Grimsley has complained to friends, the Times said, that federal agents attributed statements to him that he did not make.
"I'm told he has denied saying all of this," Randy Hendricks, who represents Clemens and Pettitte, told The Associated Press on Saturday night. "It's an agent's recollection about a conversation he had about conjecture."
"I've grown weary of having to defend (Clemens) from innuendo and conjecture about every six months for the last several years when he's complied with all of the rules and regulations," Hendricks said. "Andy is just surprised and stunned, and has no knowledge of any such activity."
Clemens and Pettitte pitch for Houston. The Astros won 5-4 at Atlanta on Saturday night.
Tejada, Gibbons and Roberts had left the clubhouse in Boston after Baltimore's 5-4 victory Saturday night when an AP reporter sought comment.
"I don't pay attention to what (Grimsley said)," Tejada told The (Baltimore) Sun. "I know that I've never had a problem with that. I know that I've never used that and I know I am clean.
"I don't worry about anybody who puts me in that stuff. I'll get checked out for anybody, any time, any moment -- whenever they want."
Gibbons told The Sun: "I have passed every test administered by Major League Baseball over all the years. And I am not going to dignify these claims and accusations with any further response."
Along with the federal probe, baseball hired former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell to investigate the use of steroids.
All major league players are tested at least twice a year for banned drugs. There is no test for HGH, but it is banned by baseball.
