Why. I mean, if you don't have an xbox or playstation or a gaming pc, I can kinda get it, but Witcher is better suited to the big screen.
To answer the question, Im playing Dusk, Divinity Original Sin and Zelda breath of the wild right now.

2 out of my 3 Switch games are ones I have owned on several other consoles. Skyrim and L.A. Noire because they're classics that I enjoy being able to take with me on the road. That's not to say that SSB Ultimate isn't a blast too, though.
And at the end of the month (May 29th), I've got the Borderlands Legendary Collection pre-ordered for delivery to my house, and it has all the games in the series, not counting Tales or BL3, plus every bit of add-on content for BL, BL2 and Pre-Sequel. Nobody can argue that's not worth dropping (USD)$60 on.

I'm also playing Streets of Rage 4 now. I don't think I like it much though tbh. Doesn't seem as fun as I remember beat em ups being. Think the fact that the controls and gameplay still feel like they came from the 90's is throwing me off. They could have made this way more fluid imo. That and so many of the levels are waaaaay too short. As it is, it's a 90's game with a fresh coat of paint.

Turns out I just was bored with the character I kept choosing. Doing the whole run through with each character for the achievement while banking score for the unlocks. I had played through as Axel already and was playing through as Blaze when I made my post. Turns out I had a lot more fun as Cherry who I just finished the campaign with and now I'm on to Floyd and he is also a blast, but not nearly as fun/versatile as Cherry was as of yet. Cherry just has ridiculous juggles that are very fun.

Cherry is ridiculous once you learn how to move around with her.
Floyd is just as crazy. If you hit toward toward attack, he has this big ass double punch that just knocks the fook outta enemies. 3 of those will break the riot cop shield from a distance where they cannot touch you.
Just started and played Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA for 7 hours today. I'm hooked to that game now. Probably gonna play 7 more hours later. Only on Chapter 2. Love the fighting system. Love the storyline so far. It kind of reminds me of Lost. I bought it off the Eshop for $29.99 but if it continues to be this good, I'll have to open the wallet for the physical copy.

I like traditional turn based RPGs but I'm not big into the strategy/RPG hybrid games like Fire Emblem. I don't like the whole grid based movement system and having tons of characters/enemies in a battle. Games like that feel too slow to me. I used to play some of them back in the day but when I tried my first Disgaea game it completely killed my desire to ever play another strategy/RPG.

So I've been playing a lot of metroidvania games again lately. Finished Ori 2 100% and then blazed through a little indie game called Timespinner 100% as well. Had no idea what game to try next in the genre as I've played a shitload of them and all the good ones....or so I thought. Because I discovered Hollow Knight and I have no idea how tf I missed this glorious gift from the Gods of gaming. This one is easily up there with the Ori games and Super Metroid for best in the genre consideration.
It also has some ridiculously difficult content which is excellent since Ive been honing my skills in these games lately. I'm stuck on an optional boss right now that I am severely underprepared for but I don't give a damn because I will flop my corpse at it 1000 times if I have to in order to memorize all its moves/tells to the point that it cant even hit me if I have to.

Yeah. I can't recommend staying away from the awful PvP Imperial City DLC. I made the mistake of getting it. 99% of the time you're on your own, and I swear trying to complete quests without getting gang raped by enemies and/or members of other factions is impossible. Other than that, I really have no complaints with the game.
Oh and I did also recently complete the Mages Guild storyline starring Sheogorath. Why name the trophy for finishing it "Arch-Mage" if you don't actually (SPOILER) become Arch-Mage?

So I finished the main ending of Hollow Knight. Done a bit of the extra content and can currently fight the "new" final boss but am sidetracked by the Grimm Troupe contents final boss. Let me say this: As of this moment, out of the probably thousand games Ive played, Nightmare King Grimm is easily the hardest boss I've ever fought in any game ever. I've seen videos of people beating him without getting hit but I'm convinced they were on crack and cheating at the same time. This guy is nucking futs and often will wipe me in the first 10 seconds of battle and I am fully upgraded with every ability found. Madness. MADNESS I SAY.
Decided to take a break before I broke my controller or PC. Noticed a decent sale on PSN and got Jotun: Valhalla Edition and Sundered: Eldritch Edition for a total of 7 dollars and change. Beat Jotun in a day but it was a decent experience. Very pretty game with some challenging bosses. Well worth the 3 bucks I spent on it. Started up Sundered now and it's another metroidvania, but with roguelike spin. When you die you return to the starting point, but you have any found abilities and can spend currency to permanently increase your stats and get added buffs. Any doors you unlocked before stay unlocked too which is useful for shortcuts. Game seems rather easy when you first start it but quickly becomes madness as you are swarmed by regenerating hordes of enemies and bullet/laser hell coming from every direction. Seems really fun and challenging so I'm going to grind it out before trying to kill that bastard Grimm again.

The early bosses in Nioh are absolute bastards man. The ball and chain oni (cant remember the actual name) took me absolutely ages to kill, the only thing in Dark Souls that personally comes close to that level of dickhead are capra demon and NG+ Four Kings. Even the DLC dragon in DS3 is fairer. The 1 vs 1 NPC maps are also incredibly skewed against you and the recommended levels are way lower than should be recommended.

That was my big problem with Nue, just standing still momentarily gets you one shotted by the homing lightning strikes so its ridiculous trying to pick up his tells when you cant even look at him safely. It even seems like that boss was designed with the intention of you giving up fighting it fairly and just cheesing it by the way they set up his arena.

Some thoughts up to where i am in the game (theater: )
The sequence where joel and elli are on an outing is pretty touching. Joel essentially teaches the player how to swim which is a wonderful call back. But its this sequence that highlights why the game just doesnt really work.
We are invested in this father daughter duo. Its the bond between them that makes the first game so special. We love her through the eyes of a father. And while avenging joel should motivate the player without that bond the game lacks the heart of its forebearer.
I get what they were going for here but its the wrong choice. This is the choice you make late in a game (or even series) not at the top of the first act. A vengeance story is a fine archetype but its so far from what the last of us was; this it all feels emotionally empty and the scenes that harken back to the tone of the original inadvertently highlight that.

I'm currently reliving the horror of Dark Souls 3. Good times.
I just finished Injustice Gods Among Us: Ultimate Edition story mode. It was good, but a few issues.
1) The multiverse gets confusing
2) This is my biggest gripe. They dont even show the scene that made Superman snap!!!! They didnt show what Joker did to him and Lois! How the fuck do you not show that? It's the basis for the entire game!

MGS gameplay in open world is fun and novel, but the world is mind numbingly boring. Probably the worst sin an open world game can commit.

I tried Carrion which just hit gamepass. It's a 2d metroidvania style game where you play as a tentacle monster escaping from an underground facility. It uses 16-bit graphics and has a really cool atmosphere.
Movement is kind of crazy and takes a little getting used to. It's very loose, but the idea is to make the controls really feel like you're controlling this amoeba type monster and it succeeds in that regard.
Also I say it's a metroidvania but it's honestly a lot more linear than most other games in the genre. It feels labyrinthian, but it's more like Metroid Fusion for example.
drave

Seems linear at first. You can traverse the entire game after a certain point. If you want to get upgrades, you have to anyway.
Great game, I'm at the last bit and haven't finished it up just yet. Only complaint is when you grow to the "3rd" form, it becomes a bit too big and the controls are wonky AF when trying to do things like hit a switch, or fit into smaller spaces.

I didn't mind it, but I also went into it knowing that it wasn't a traditional open world and was more linear. I'd compare it more to traditional Legend of Zelda games, than true open world format.
I was more bothered by the character design. None of it was particularly interesting. Especially with the main playable characters. They threw black clothing on 4 achingly stereotypical anime tropes, and called it a day.
I still enjoyed the game overall though.
Probably my favorite soundtrack in an FF game since 8.

Going to try and power through Talos Principle this weekend. Just about near the end, I think.
I just bought Diablo 3 on Switch. Guy at Gamestop told me it plays shockingly great. I probably got ripped. But i'm gonna play a bit. If anyone is playing, my Switch tag is, Shawnplex.

Nah Diablo 3 is great. And it’s not a graphics hog so it should run just fine on switch.

Here’s a really good site for character builds

That’s if you want to get into the endgame, beyond the story campaign.
oooo ok thank you The Mask.

Rule of Rose. I bought this game for $50 and it's worth $600 now, but I don't have it anymore so I'm playing on emulator. Broken ass game

Diablo III is actually a very very well done port on the Switch. I haven't sunk as much time in it as I have on PC but I absolutely feel like the game is done right on the console. Still fire it up every other Season or so. It plays really well.

Finished The Talos Principle. Gotta do a quick speed run a 2nd time to snatch a couple trophies I missed. One's a goof on my end. The other might be glitched unless I gotta do something different somewhere in the game.
If 'yall are looking for a puzzle game on the cheap, give this a go.
Not playing them yet, but my Gamestop had a clearance on PS3 games CIB. I picked up Ni no Kuni, Infamous 2 and Uncharted 3 for 10 bucks total.

Fun fact: it was the best scam going for caps in vanilla until they patched it and made it so that a) the caravan cap pool was separate and b) you could only play against an opponent so many times full stop. I used to buy shit from merchants, play them for all my money back, rinse and repeat when their stock/caps refreshed every three days I think it was. I was holding so much bank that I was even using old world currency as a lightweight placeholder (all things considered, it was kinda ironic) for more money. Beat the hell out of trying to sell a bunch of heavy crap and deal with encumbrance.
Good thing I'm replying to you specifically, Destor... looks like it's time for Wasteland 3. Popped up on the XBOX dash. I'm going to try to go see if I can land a physical copy somewhere like I did with 2.

itll be a bit before i get to it but im VERY hyped for it
So I thought I finished Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. Turns out there's a Chapter 2 and I am unsure if I should continue. The teaser seems "interesting".

Got through Yakuza 0 finally. Wasn't aware how long these games could be, especially when you dig into the business side stuff. Combat gets repetitive after awhile but it's fun so its ok. The story is pretty great though and I hope they all have this level of story telling because it had me hooked, especially the characters. Goro Majima ftw.
Onto Yakuza Kiwami now.
I really want to play Control

Finished the main portion of Talos Principle. Now working on the Road to Gehenna add-on. Shouldn't take me long and I'll notch another platinum.
Sekiro is still starring at me. But still don't want to pick up a sword again after Ghost of Tsushima. I see Dave played Phantom Pain. And I got that as a freebie. Might give it a whirl.

Yeah I'm liking it so far as well. Glad I played 0 first though since Kiwami has obvious callbacks to it now that I'm assuming weren't in the original. I've noticed the game is much more difficult than the 0 was as well, what with you being weak as shit at the beginning and all.

Steam has Turok 2 on sale at the moment; I'm wondering whether to indulge in a bit of nostalgia.
I completed the first episode (Paris fashion show) of season 1 Hitman, but I haven't played anymore since. I need to get back on it.
I've been hearing the call of Skyrim again lately, but I'm not prepared to drop everything else and be consumed by that beast for the next number of months.

Talos Principle is done. Croteam made you put the brain to work in Road to Gehenna for that platinum trophy.
Just realized the next Borderlands 3 DLC comes out the 10th. So, I'll reinstall and get ready for that.
I've never heard a fanbase so divided than the Tony Hawk fanbase. Anything from 1 to 4 could be considered best by these people. I personally think 2 is the best.
Cant believe they didnt put the 1 and 2 remaster on switch.

Is the Switch that tough to port to that it has to be last to get these games? I wanted to buy PGA2k21 ( i'm not going to because of the reviews of performance ), but if you dont buy the digital, you have to wait until the 21st this month??? Is this because of the country? Whats going on here?

Yakuza Kiwami done, on to Kiwami 2. Seriously good shit. I feel like a dumbass for missing these games for all these years.
Any of ya'll gonna pick up Super Mario 3D All-Stars? Never played Sunshine or Galaxy. Tempted..
I preordered it, but i'm worried Gamestop will run out of copies. My order hasnt processed and i've been hearing that lots of retail stores are canceling pre orders because they dont know if Nintendo will be fulfilling enough copies.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 has guys from NJPW in the coliseum as opponents. Good shit.
I decided out of the blue, to put a game in that i havent played yet ( which is most of them ). Popped Just Cause 2 in and played for about 7 hours having mindless fun. Probably gonna finish it right now.
