But hey, at least that McDaniels faggot is gone. Who needs a good offense when you can have the coach of the 29th ranked RBs running the show?

Because you take sports way too seriously.

If he took sports too seriously he would know that a game isn't over until 4 quarters of play.

Giants are only down 7 points with right now like 5 minutes left in the first half.

Vito: Lighten up francis, the game isn't even half over.

See Fumble Packers and now the Giants have the ball. Touchdown Giants and the game is about to be tied with the PAT.

Wow. What happened to Miami in the 4th? Lions ended up tearing them apart.

Miami is horrible at home (1-7) especially when the game is close or enters the 4th quarter but surprisingly near the top of the league for away record (6-1).

I would just like to say that Tom Brady will be playing until he's like 45 years old. The guy never gets hit, doesn't throw the ball THAT deep so his arm isnt being overused, and teams will still want him at that age. I was about 14-15 when he started, and i'll be about 35 when he's done. Wtf lol

SlickyTrickyDamon
12-26-2010, 09:27 PM
Well, I have ended the TPWW Fantasy season with a strong victory. I ended up outscoring the team in the championship match :). In the end I was 5-8 in the Regular season and 2-1 in the Consulation bracket. So, I end up in 9th place but the Nexus will return next year and will do much, much better!

Johnny Vegas

Evil Vito
12-27-2010, 11:40 AM
Yeah. And if Coughlin goes, I hope the entire coaching staff is sent packing also. Let the new coach bring in who he wants.

Of course that won't happen. Quinn is the only coordinator who is definitely gone. Feel like ownership has a hard-on for Gilbride, and I see Fewell sticking around if only because they don't want to make the players learn from a 4th different defensive coordinator in 4 years.

Hey hey, ho ho, Jack Del Rio's got to go.

Gene Smith, please draft some Safeties and CB's next year. Grab a QB too while you're at it. Kind of don't even want the Jags to make the playoffs now as they'd just get embarrassed by the Ravens.

OssMan
12-27-2010, 12:12 PM
Here is something that has bothered me for a while actually and will not be changed until it costs a team a game. You get two challenges and if you get them both right, you get a third one. If you use that third one and get it right, then you're out of challenges. So if the refs fuck up again and make a terrible call, you're screwed. I'm not sure if a team has had the need to use a fourth challenge, but I feel like it will probably happen in a big situation. If they would just change the rule now it could be avoided altogether.

Innovator
12-27-2010, 12:32 PM
Yeah when you get your two challenges right, you should be able to keep challenging until you lose one.

Yeah when you get your two challenges right, you should be able to keep challenging until you lose one.

They don't want the game stopped all the time to check calls. The system seems to be working alright as it is right now. It benefits people who call challenges right, but doesn't give them a totally unfair advantage.

I remember when my friends and I went to a bowling alley and the scoring machine was broken. Somebody kept getting strike after strike and we let him go on until he stopped because we didn't know the rules without the automatic scorer since we usually played Candlestick bowling.

Since the machine was broken we didn't know how many games we were playing or being charged for. So, we ended up paying for way more games than we thought we played. I guess the machines worked to count the games at the paystation but not at the alley boo.

ESPN is predicting as high as 12 head coaches are going to be fired once the season ends or almost 1/3 of all the coaches in the NFL. So far just Minnesota, Dallas, and SF fired their head coaches.

*ahem*

You forgot Denver.

Emperor Smeat
12-27-2010, 05:43 PM
Yeah ended up forgetting about them when looking at the list of coaches ESPN was reporting could be gone.

That makes it 4 fired during the season with another 8 possibly gone once the season ends (and maybe all of the intern ones to make about 16 total fired or released).

Kind of crazy how 2 divisions could drop 6-7 coaches (AFC South only keeping Colts and NFC East only keeping Eagles coaches, Dallas could get rid of Wade and the intern).

I hope Gilbride gets the axe. I wouldn't mind if Coughlin stayed, but Gilbride has to go. He is so predictable. Fewell is alright. He has games where the scheme works, and others where it seems that he is being out coached.

I love the aggressive defense from the Falcons tonight, and I cannot fucking stand the typical conservative offensive play-calling. Punting the ball to the Saints with 2:30 left just isn't worth it. And running the ball up the middle with a stacked line over and over is driving me crazy. The Falcons offense is too good to leave that many points on the field.

I'm not worried though. The Falcons defense played great, and the team has a great shot of doing well in the playoffs.

Current Playoff Standings and seeds:

AFC
East - Patriots #1 seed
North - Steelers/Ravens (division winner takes #2 seed, loser takes #5 seed)
West - Chiefs (#3 seed if Jags win South, #4 if Colts win South)
South - Colts/Jaguars (division winner is #3 or #4 seed, loser is out of playoffs)

Jets locked up #6 seed.

NFC
East - Eagles (Ranges from #1-#3 seed)
North - Bears (Ranges from #1-#3 seed)
West - Rams/Seahawks (division winner is #4 seed, loser out of playoffs)
South - Falcons/Saints (division winner is #1-#3 seed, loser is #5-6 seed or out)

Currently Saints hold #5 seed, Packer hold #6 with Giants and Tampa Bay on the outside.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, 49ers owner will fire the head coach and might not even wait till after next week since he gave a "no commitment" to Singletary.

Im rooting for either:

Steelers loss to the Browns (unlikely) or the Chiefs losing to the Raiders.

Really dont want to see the Ravens go to Indy for the Wild Card game. A Chiefs loss means the Ravens would go to KC.

Also, definitely rooting for the Jets to win their WC game vs whoever which would keep the Ravens out of NE til the Champ game, and possibly a home game in the Champ game should the Jets win out.

The Broncos arranged a press conference on Tuesday for Lloyd, the only member of the team who made it to the Pro Bowl after the franchise’s toilet bowl season. And near the end of the session, Lloyd was asked if he wanted to say “told you so” to the three teams for which he previously played — the 49ers, Redskins, and Bears.

Said Lloyd, per Mike Klis of the Denver Post: ”No, I want to say, ‘F–k you.’ And I mean that in the most professional way.”

Klis said that the “F” bomb was delivered “half-good naturedly, half-seriously.”

Either way, we think that the most pointed and biting two-word phrase in the English language should now be chased whenever uttered with the disclaimer, “And I mean that in the most professional way.”

Just as they had several times before*after big road wins, several New Orleans Saints defensive players returned to the playing field to commemorate Monday night's 17-14 victory at Atlanta by taking pictures on the midfield Falcons logo.

While several members of the Falcons organization reportedly were disturbed by the Saints' postgame antics, Coach Sean Payton and linebacker Jonathan Vilma said too much is being made of the Saints' celebration.

"The only thing I'm surprised about is that they were so quick to put a negative spin on it," Vilma said. "For us, it was a group of guys, we clinched a playoff berth. That was huge. These are memories for us to have for years down the road. We wanted to take that picture.

"It had nothing to do with Atlanta. It had nothing to do with showing them up in their home stadium. It had nothing to do with that. It was us being happy. We're in the playoffs. We wanted a picture. Same thing we did in Dallas. We won the Thanksgiving game. I had never done that before. Won the Super Bowl, you take a picture. You have milestones in your career that you want to remember, and you take pictures regardless of the stadiums. I was just surprised at the negative spin they put on it. Aside from that, I don't care."

The Saints and Falcons rivalry has ratcheted up in intensity recently as the players have sparred on the field and took verbal jabs at each other off it.

Last week, Atlanta receiver Roddy White criticized Saints' fans and the city of New Orleans on his Twitter account, starting a mini-feud with several Saints players.

It was clear Monday night, though, that the Saints wanted to send a message to the Falcons. And now, they'll have pictures of their latest conquest.

Still, Payton warned not to overplay the incident.

"It's something the linebackers have done for a while here," Payton said. "It's always done with respect and after the game and they've gone out. If you go into our linebacker meeting room, there's pictures there with their families.

"There are pictures of the Super Bowl. There are pictures after a big win at Dallas, but it's always after the teams leave the field -- and it's never in any way, shape or form meant at all to be disrespectful. I think in light of last night, a lot's been made that it was in more of an arrogant manner. I would disagree with that. It's something that's done after the fact, after the teams have left the field."

So Roddy "Bitch Made Faggot" White can tweet shit about our Super Bowl win being God helping the city from falling apart, but it's disrespectful for our lb corp taking a picture after the game??

Fuck the Falcons.. I pray we go back to ATL the second week of the playoffs and destroy their dreams..

I def think Palmer will be gone, along with Marvin Lewis.. My question is, will Palmer catch on somewhere eles or is he done?? He was a top 5 QB a few years ago but hasn't been the same since his knee injury.. At the same time, the Bengals haven't been the same since then either which shows how good he actually was up until that point..

Dont care about T.O..

parkmania

Supreme Olajuwon
12-29-2010, 05:19 PM
Palmer will be back. And he should be. Dunno why everyone shits all over him. The playcalling has been atrocious the past two seasons. And not to point fingers, but isn't it odd that against San Diego's #2 ranked defense without his top 2 targets, Palmer has the best game of his career?

The coaching staff needs to go. I have nothing against Marvin Lewis and I think he did a great job, but he's gone as far as he can with this team. Bob Bratkowski is done as OC. Has no imagination and can't call plays. But I think Marvin will be back. Dunno.

Chad and TO are great players, but they're not what the Bengals need now. They need youth.

ESPN broke down the reason for the fine over suspension pretty well since NFL was in a tough situation since any decision wouldn't be liked.

They could have suspended him but since he hasn't passed the concussion test for next week, it wouldn't have made any real effect. Neither would a suspension for next year since it would be worthless if he retired.

NFL was pissed but only could fine him $50,000 due to the rules on amount for fines. Farve isn't clear of all this mess since he can still be sued but it wouldn't be a normal case due to statue of limitations on the original complaint already passed by.

Yeah the complaint about the NFL being upset for Farve not cooperating was dumb by the NFL even though the NFL didn't start the investigation until 2 months ago. If the NFL felt like Farve wasn't helping, then the fine and/or suspension should have been done sooner.

The NFL also ended up being stuck in a mess since the lawsuit against Farve was going to be based on the NFL's decision and Farve didn't break any rules but did embarrass the league so something had to be done.

The Bears are so bad. They are going to get slaughtered in the second round. Disgusting that they even get a bye week.

Also, I don't really mind that we're playing the Colts next week. I didn't want to go to Arrowhead, and I didn't want to play Peyton either, so whatever. Just take what you've got. You can't hide in the play offs. Time to step up and prove you belong if you truly believe your team can win the whole thing.

Think Marvin might be a candidate for the Pitt job now that they're looking for a coach again. He'd be a good fit in the college ranks.

Pitt hired the head coach away from Miami (OH) a couple weeks ago. Unless something happened that I haven't heard yet.

EDIT: OK, yeah. Hadn't heard that Pitt fired "Coach X" over the domestic abuse thing.

lol, the NFC West game getting the shittiest timeslot was the most obvious thing ever.

Anyway, I'm glad that the Giants won as this probably saves Coughlin's job for one more season. Only has one year left on his deal though and they historically don't keep around coaches with 1 year deals. They'll probably give him a 1-year extension.

Wish the fucking Bears could have gotten blown out though instead of dragging it out til the end. Oh well.

Go Packers next week. In fact, anything but an Eagles/Pats SB would suffice for me.

That didn't take long. Tom Coughlin will be back next year.

Praying Kevin Gilbride gets shown the door though. Not only is his playcalling predictable, but apparently it's wickedly complex. Was reading that most of the receivers the Giants have had to slide in late in the year have no idea what the fuck is going on half the time.

In our defense the #2 pick warrants serious discussion, something you wouldn't know about having to wait all the way to #3. We don't have the luxury of the 10 extra minutes Cincy will have so we must make the most of what we have.
