So about a dozen out of 70,000 might have some class. Big deal.

I depressed man in a jacket wasnt doing anything, 1 kid in Colts blue was clapping, 3 guys in Eagles gear were clapping and one guy in Colts gear was clapping.

2nd row, 1 woman in eagles gear was clapping with mittens on, one girl in eagles gear was looking behind her, someone in a Manning Jersey and someone with a Vick Jersey looking backwards and someone in a gray shirt clapping.

Meanwhile, its crazy to think the Ravens have a game in 4 days in Atlanta. Its probably going to be their 2nd toughest game of the year so far behind the Pats game because of how well the Falcons play at home.

Ever since Jerry Jones guaranteed no changes and job safety for rest of the season, the entire Cowboys team decided to half-ass the rest of the season.

Any trade value for players will plummet since no team wants players that give up or quit easily and nobody else wants to overpay for these players either.

Something is up, as I expected the Falcons to be at least a 3 point favorite (basic home field advantage) but the Falcons are only 1 pt favorites. They are 17-1 SU with Ryan as the QB in the Georgia Dome (vs 9-11 on the road with Ryan at QB). Last time he lost at home was week 8 in 2008 24-20 to the Denver Broncos. I was gonna look up the Falcons ATS record at home, but being only 1 pt favorites basically means they only have to win so its essentially SU.

I guess if you feel that the Chargers would be 0-9 without him instead of 4-5 with him..

The sad thing is I can see the chargers making the playoffs but only if they win the division. the toughest game they have the rest of the way (outside of games with KC/Oakland, both at home) is game vs the Colts in Indy. They also have 2 vs Denver and 1 vs SF and Cincy.

Through eight games, Bradford has thrown for 1,674 yards with 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions with a completion percentage of 58.6 and a rating of 75.9. For frame of reference, Bradford’s quarterback rating as a rookie is better than the likes of Peyton Manning, Matthew Stafford, John Elway and Troy Aikman through eight games.

Because Bradford is playing like a good rookie while Suh is playing like an All Pro.

NFL Networks week 9 Power Rankings

1.) Ravens -- Ed Reed has three picks in*two games back; team had three takeaways first*five games total. Joe Flacco top rated QB in NFL since Week 2.
2.) Saints* -- Defense still getting far too overlooked.
3.) Steelers -- I expect Big Ben to get better from here on out.
4.) Giants -- That just wasn't even fair Sunday. Men against boys.
5.) Packers -- Hitting their stride.
6.) Titans -- Picking up Randy Moss on waivers not too shabby on a bye week.
7.) Patriots -- The defense could still be their downfall.
8.) Jets -- Since Oct 1, Mark Sanchez has a 67.5 rating, with four TDs and five picks; L.T. averaging 3.7 yards per carry last*four games.
9.) Eagles -- Second-half schedule shapes up well for them.
10.) Colts -- Another game, another offensive skill position starter lost.
11.) Falcons -- As good a home team as there is. Ravens provide stern test in short week.
12.) Chargers -- They're baacckk. Another gutsy showing without a ton of skill players. Bye comes at perfect time and Vincent Jackson just a few weeks away.
13.) Raiders -- Biggest win in a long, long time. Amazing comeback. Right in thick of AFC West race and have wins over K.C. and San Diego already.
14.) Vikings -- Much like the Chargers, might be getting off the mat at last possible minute. Don't see them reaching playoffs, but could salvage something.
15.) Chiefs -- They won some crazy games and were due to lose one ... If they fail to reach the playoffs, though, circle that loss.
16.) Dolphins -- Very tough stretch against three straight AFC North opponents now behind them.
17.) Bucs -- That may have been a must-win game in Atlanta in terms of real playoff hopes. Regardless, this team so vastly improved from a year ago.
18.) Texans -- Same 'ol, same 'ol.
19.) Lions -- Have to find a way to incubate Matthew Stafford from the kind of crushing blows he so routinely absorbs.
20.) Rams -- Win their division games and Sam Bradford will be playing in the postseason.
21.) Jaguars -- Gained ground in the division with a bye. But better start playing with some semblance of a defense.
22.) Browns -- Play their best against the best teams. Capable of being overpowering in run game on any given day.
23.) Redskins -- Few places do a QB controversy like Washington, real or contrived.
24.) Bears -- Not a pristine showing coming off the bye.
25.) 49ers -- In any other division you'd say, have a nice draft. But if they can beat the Rams ...
26.) Bengals -- Beating up on Browns, Ravens and Steelers a year ago not helping now... Those division foes remember and smell blood now.
27.) Seahawks -- Absolutely pummeled by physical teams the last two weeks and the injuries have been crippling.
28.) Cowboys -- Believe it or not, this may not even be the nadir.
29.) Cardinals -- If they beat the Seahawks this week they'll be right back in it.
30.) Broncos -- Falling well off the pace while the rest of their division steps up.
31.) Bills -- Find ways to lose every week. So close but yet so far.
32.) Panthers -- Horribly non-competitive football team right now.

Excited about the Giants' chances this season. Definitely going to be a tough road through the last half of the season. Two games against the Eagles, Redskins, and one against the Packers yet to go.

I want to see them keep rolling against a few good teams. The Colts tore their ass up in the beginning of the season, but hopefully that can be attributed to the problems the Giants' were having early on that seem to have gone away recently.

I dont care what anyone says, it was a push off and 99/100 times if a Ravens player does the same thing they get a flag thrown at em faster than you can blink.

In all seriousness, the Ravens didnt deserve to win the game but to have the Refs blatantly steal it from them is just fucking ridiculous. It was the same reffing crew that did that Pats/Ravens game last year with the infamous phantom hit on Tom Brady flag by Suggs, and they also conveniently missed the facemask call earlier on Suggs and instead called it on him for a split seconds worth of contact with the falcons's player's facemask while he has his head turned completely around by the facemask grabbing..

The Ravens defense is crap though. Probably the 2nd worst defensive game of the year behind the Bills debacle. Im hoping for some changes over the next 10 days but honestly I dont know what they could do that would make a huge difference. At least the next game is vs Carolina so it shouldn't be that tough of a game to get things going again.

If you search Ron Winter, you'll find his crew is known for throwing flags. Falcons only got called for one penalty which was the one for the player going OB on the punt that gave the Ravens the extra 19 yards on their last scoring drive. Flacco threw 1 bad interception, threw 3 TDs in the 2nd half and led a 4th quarter drive to take the lead...

and Matt Ryan has 50 pass attempts to throw for about 80 more yards than Flacco, and throws a game winning TD on a play that should have been called for illegal contact after 5 yards at a minimum, pushing them back out of FG range with 20 seconds left...

""We were actually trying to get the ball to Tony [Gonzalez]. They were double covering him. It left me wide open, with one-on-one coverage. He tried to grab me, and I just pushed him down."

The Falcons only have White..all their other WRs (not counting TE Gonzo) suck ass.

IC Champion

Matt Ryan is the real deal. I'd say he's better than Flacco when you consider what Flacco has to work with, Flaccos entire offense is more talented, from the line to the recievers. Matt Ryan has a quicker release, makes his reads much better and faster, and is more accurate. Matt Ryan is for reals.

Droford
11-12-2010, 02:53 PM
If Matt Ryan was all that, he'd be a better QB on the road.

Flacco isn't statistically a good QB on the road (hes much better at home too) but at least he goes and wins games on the Road (see New England last year and Pittsburgh this year for instance). Matt Ryan is like 9-11 on the road as opposed to being 18-1 at home. If there was any team that needed to get home field advantage for the playoffs, its the Falcons, who will probably be ousted the first game they have to play on the road.

Im not too worried about the Ravens probably blowing Home field last night (rooting for the Patriots to beat the Steelers Sunday Night is like rooting to have Cancer instead of AIDS..but whatever) as they should be able to at least stay in contention for the Division and ahead of the pack when it comes to a wild card spot.

IC Champion
11-12-2010, 02:58 PM
It's not like he's 0-20 on the road. It's the NFL, winning on the road isn't easy for a young QB. Matt Ryan just does everything better than Flacco and in three years it will be much more evident.

The Falcons game plan was obviously to basically abandon the run, but use the short passing game to keep the clock running down. Everybody just stacks the box on the Falcons, so it was a good call. Matt Ryan will never have the stats to compare with Flacco because the Falcons don't play that kind of game. They play the clock-eating game, not the high-scoring offense game. And the Falcons could have easily won that game against the Steelers earlier this year, Dro. They lost on one big play in overtime, which certainly wasn't Matt Ryan's fault. Philly was certainly the only game in which they've looked pedestrian.

Im still pissed that the Ravens had the game won and the Refs decided they wanted to give it to Atlanta with 3 shoddy calls on the game winning drive (ticky tack pass interference call on 3rd down, questionable catch ruling with the WR going OB, and the blown call at the end).

As for Atlanta, 4 of their next 7 games are on the road and their remaining home games are vs the Packers and Saints (and not counting the panthers..), either one or both should be able to beat them.

After next week at the panthers, the Ravens dont have another easy game left though they luck out with 4 home games vs the Steelers, Bucs, Saints and Bengals and road games with Houston and Cleveland. I will go ahead and say it, if they lose the Steelers and Saints games, they won't make it to the playoffs because I dont think 10-6 or even 11-5 will get it done, and if they lose any one of the other games they're toast regarless.

That was pass interference on third down, it was a catch going out of bounds, and the push off was probably pass interference. The thing is, Ravens still had to play defense, and they didnt stop the Falcons. They were already in feild goal range anyways at the time of the "push off". Ravens defence has blown 2 leads this year. So maybe you should look at the Ravens and quit looking for outside sources to blame.

OK I just saw that Austin Collie hit for the first time. And I remember Eagles fans were bitching about the flag on it. Yeah he wasn't defenseless, but that was a blatant helmet to helmet hit. What is there to complain about, the penalty would still be unnecessary roughness regardless of whether or not he was defenseless.

Would you guys shut the fuck up. No Push off for interference, no TD, no win for Atlanta.

Also, Ryan might be great at home, but without winning on the road, he is not the real deal.

He' just under .500 in his third season, come on used your head. Peyton Manning was only about .500 overall after his first 4 seasons.

Don't get all bum hurt because the Ravens lost. Ravens had chances to stop them before that, they didn't. They let them in FG range, and then gave up a TD. Ravens would have lost with or without that interfernce call probably.

We can all agree on that. I hated when people would put him in the the Mannings and Bradys. I just never saw it, he had one good season like 4 years ago.

Horrible ending for the Texans since the defense did everything correct on the hail mary pass but unlucky since a Jags WR caught the ball after it was swatted in the air.

Meanwhile Buffalo finally wins its first game of the year.
