CINCINNATI -- Charity-minded callers are getting intercepted by a sex phone line because of a misprint on Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco's namesake cereal boxes.
Because of a wrong toll-free prefix for a number listed on Ochocinco's cereal, callers are directed to a phone sex line instead of a children's charity. The phone number is supposed to connect callers to Feed the Children, which benefits from sales of "Ochocinco's." But because the box has the wrong toll-free prefix, they get a seductive-sounding woman who makes risque suggestions and then asks for a credit card number.

History: Road team has won 9 of the last 13 meetings.

Panthers are 34-25 ATS as an underdog the previous 59 instances.
John Fox is 4-1 ATS as a divisional underdog of 7+.
Saints are 28-44 ATS at home since 2001 (11-9 since 2008).
Saints are 21-34 ATS as a home favorite since 2001.
Saints are 2-7 ATS as double-digit favorites under Sean Payton.
This is keeping in mind that the original line is Saints -14.5, I bumped it up 6 points to Panthers +20.5
This was also why I took the Lions +20.5

The first half of the Ravens game was too good to be true and sure enough first drive in the second half and they fumble deep in their own territory. Good job there..

Slight knee sprain.. He was questionable all week.. I think they just sat him cause it's the Panthers.. Both safeties being out is hurting us.. And the turnovers..

10-03-2010, 03:28 PM
So the local CBS coverage is waiting to show the Colts Jag at 3pm instead of Steelers Ravens, because of Manning and not wanting to go against the Saints game..
BOOOOOO
Supreme Olajuwon
10-03-2010, 03:34 PM
I don't think they have a choice. The NFL, Fox, and CBS decide all of that stuff.
Kris P Lettus
10-03-2010, 03:41 PM
I thought the local affiliates picked the games.. I know Fox and CBS rotate the double header, but I thought they still got to pick which game is broadcast..
Supreme Olajuwon
10-03-2010, 03:46 PM
Actually I'm not sure if the rules are different when it's a CBS affiliate in an NFC market. Cause I think the games are determined by what division your team is in, but that should only matter on the channel that runs your conference.
So I dunno.
Kris P Lettus
10-03-2010, 03:48 PM
Well, it seems in the NOLA area, instead of showing the best AFC game (which they did in Missisippi) they will always show one or both of the Mannings, cause they are local boys..
Supreme Olajuwon
10-03-2010, 03:52 PM
Hmm, I dunno then. Cause I always get mad when they show Browns or Ravens games instead of the Colts on CBS.

Surprised how bad the Bengals are in terms of their expectations/potential. They lose to the Browns and fall 2-2 but Palmer has another big stat game. 3 straight games where the team failed to score more than 2 TDs since Palmer is getting good stats but majority of it didn't come in critical or Red Zone situations.

Bengals have tons of talent, but shoot themselves every single week by making stupid ass penalties. On their last drive, Chad Johnson made a stupid penalty that knocked them out of field goal range. Then on the Browns last possession, stupid fuck Pat Sims gets a defensive holding penalty and gives the Browns a first down and then they ice it. How the fuck does a fat fuck d tackle get a defensive holding call. Fucking retards.

FUck man, Vick is fucking hurt. Kolb is scared to throw down the damn field, and i haven't trusted our defense since Jim Johnson retired as defensive Coordinator. We are going to be a 10-6 team, but not do shit in the playoffs with this shit happening. Btw, if Kolb doesn't show Philly some hot stuff, Vick is definitely taking his place the MINUTE he screws up ala Vince Young (which i don't understand how Fisher is still the God damn coach for pulling that stunt, taking out Young..show some confidence in your future QB you dumbass).
Vent. Over.
Didn't Jim Johnson die? Bit of an extreme retirement.
OssMan
10-03-2010, 08:06 PM
I don't think Kevin Kolb completed a pass for more than 15 yards. And they were just checkdowns where the receiver was able to run for extra yardage. How can the Eagles possibly think that that guy is their future QB
McLegend
10-03-2010, 08:11 PM
Yes Jim Johnson died.
It's odd with Kevin Kolb. Last year he looked really good in 1.5 out of the 2 games played(2nd half of the Saints game he wasn't that good). The first preseason game this year he looked good. It seems that he has regressed in the last 2 months tbh.

Not surprising, it's a passing league now.
3rd and goal on the one is a passing play now, where as 20 years ago, it was a guarenteed run, weather you had a Dan Marino or not.
Someone will break Marino's season yard record, but Marino's accomplishment will always be more impressive when you consider the era in which he did it.

They're 2-2, with a loss in the division to the Texans who are 3-1. The Titans are also 2-2 but wildly inconsistent. There's a solid shot they might not even make the playoffs *GASP SHOCK HORROR*
Look at it this way, at least 1 wild card in the AFC is definitely coming out of the AFC East between Miami/New England/NY Jets, possibly even both of them. The AFC North has a strong shot at the other Wild Card between Pittsburgh and Baltimore, whoever doesn't win the division. So the Colts would have to likely win the division, which they are already at a slight disadvantage for given they lost to the Texans.

Miami focused their coverage on him for most of the game or before it became a blowout similar to New England focusing their D on Marshall.
The 41-14 score is a little deceptive since the defense and special teams contributed a lot to the scoring than just Brady and the offense.

The DA was clear that he believed something had happened, problem was they didn't have enough to get a conviction. If this was the first time, he'd get the benefit of the doubt. When you're a grown man in a college town courousing for pussy, and you're body guard is reported to have blocked off the bathroom, that seems a bit suspicious. So the fuck what? QB Rating is not the end all of stats. Personally, I tend to ignore it. You can be 3/4 for 35 yards and have a rating over 100, doesn't make you a good QB. And btw, in Schaub's second season his season rating was 98.1. Who fucking cares if it was a whole 1.9 away from 100? The hell makes 100 so magical?
Ben had more pass attempts his first year in the league than Schaub had in his first 3.

I think its funny that Favre could get suspended for the cell phone thing and it'll end his consecutive games streak (which likely wont be his for long anyway with Peyton Manning not that far back of him), end his hopes of winning another Super Bowl (since the Vikings have no shot at making the playoffs without him) and end his career (why would he come back after the suspension to play for nothing, and who would have him for next season?) and he's going to lose all of his endorsements for after his career was over.
If you think about it, he was on the Madden Cover the year he sent the cell phone pics, so this seems like the ultimate Madden Cover Jinx.
