loving boro at the moment 4th in league and above newcastle get in!

also bolo zenden asked us for a new song as he didnt like his old one of:

theres only 1 bolo zenden, 1 bolo zenden, he use to be shite but now he's alright walking in a zenden wonderland!

ive no idea why he didnt like that one so he now has a new one of:

bolo, bolo bolo, bolo bolo, bolo, bolo zenden ( along to the tune of 2 unlimiteds no limit )

what songs are doing the rounds at your teams grounds at the moment?

I don't call looking smug and putting your fist in the air while looking at the fans as taunting. Unless they didn't show everything on Sky.

No, that was pretty much the gist of it, he shouted something too, I dunno what. There was no need to go and celebrate the goal infront of the home fans, there was no reason to gesture at them either. The referee realised this and got them to move away.

If he had been getting stick because he's an injury prone, shit, squeeky voice, ugly scouser and he had scored, then fair dues, give us stick back, like Wayne Bridge did, although he went a bit over the top. But otherwise, go celebrate with your own fans.

and LOL that Zenden song was quality, and accurate. I had him in my fantasy team and he did nothing, then when i took him out he started scoring

They couldn't exactly run all the way to the other end to celebrate, and the celebrations weren't exactly OTT.

Henry got ripped apart when he celebrated infront of the Everton fans and the same when Man U won at Everton. Just leave it.

Mista? I think. I hope it's not him, saying they only want a million pound for him and I don't think that appeals much to me.
Last I heard the Real president said he didn't want to sell anyone in the Jan transfer windown and Morientes said that he'd rather go to Monaco.
Not sure with Johnson, I see him staying at Palace.

Mista's a good player but he's signed a new contract now and was only available for that price cause his contract runs out at the end of the season.

I only saw Villa play in one match but he looked good, a bit like a Spanish Dickov in terms of work rate but Liverpool should be looking for a taller player, someone who Baros could work with.

Why do you always overreact, it's like the time last season when we beat you 3-0 and Wayne Bridge scored the first goal, and he ran over to our dugout in delight, whilst shaking his fist, he couldn't help but go past your fans, as it happens he was elebrating at that point to the Chelsea fans in the two teirs above your fans.

they train how many days a week? they have access 24/7 to the gym, they play a sport for a proffesion, the clubs they play for employee fitness coaches so you tell me why the fuck they still come out with bullshit that players arnt at full fitness?

with viduka he was banned for the first few games of the season, in that time he should of been working on his fitness so he was ready for when his season started!

dont know what kewell's situation is but i never accept it when im told a player isnt at full fitness as with the amount they get paid they have no excuss for not being fit.

thank god we have stewie downing  and tony mcmahon who are super humanly fit and could run allday if they needed too!

Well he earned himself the nickname Moanar after a couple of weeks being here. He made some comment about how he had loads of offers from English women but would only go with Croats. Then he made some comments to the press about how English football was aweful and only Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal play the right way. Considering he had just moved from the Belgian league and how much Harry Redknapp prides himself on his teams playing good football, this wasn't bright.

He whinged about being played on the right wing, insisting he was a striker but then spent Euro 2004 playing for Croatia on the right wing, incidently Boris Zivkovic left us after insisting he was a centre back and saying he didnt play at fullback then spent Euro 2004 playing fullback and in midfield...maybe its a Croatian thing.

Then he turned up unfit for a preseason friendly and this pretty much was the end and we loaned him out to Rennes for the season. He hasn't scored for them.

From F365..

Let's All Chant
Or rather let's not, actually - especially if the chant in question is the one written by 'Barclays Chant Laureate' Jonny Hurst in tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson, sung, of course, to the tune of 'Mrs Robinson'. Mediawatch brings you the highlights...

'So here’s to you Mister Ferguson
You’re the greatest coach this club has seen
(like Aberdeen)'

'God bless you please, Mister Ferguson
Who said you don’t win anything with kids
‘Cos yes you did (oh yes you did)'

'Your boys play the tune to the sound of your beating drum
Your skippers are as tough as your chewing gum'

'The Beautiful Game pumps your veins
Gives you a natural high
Yes, you’ll be breathing football, Fergie, ‘til the day you die'

'So here’s to you, Mister Ferguson
You’re the reason why this club has grown
(And you’re as hard as stone)'

Remarkably, Mr Hurst 'beat over 1,500 worldwide entries to win the title of Barclays Chant Laureate'. Which makes you wonder about the other 1,499...
God thats bad.

Yeah I would expect them to play in central midfield for the Olympiakos match but Hamman would have done a decent job keeping out Rivaldo and Giovanni, giving Gerrard the option to move further up the field.

Some Dundee fan got a life ban for racial abuse towards Momo Sylla and Bobo Balde of Celtic. The dude that grassed him better not go back to Dens Park if he likes life. Bad thing to say but it's not as serious at Scottish grounds as it is in most other places. I've been to enough games to know you can tell it's pure wind up (not an excuse for it at all). I remember being at Villa Park at Euro 96 and Patrick Kluivert took the worst abuse I have ever heard aimed at a player - No black insults but more murderer and rapists insults than I can remember. Harry Redknapp has described the vacant Wolves manager's job as "a great job for somebody".

Redknapp was installed as the bookmakers' favourite to succeed Dave Jones at the struggling Coca-Cola Championship club after resigning as Portsmouth boss yesterday.

However, it is thought unlikely he would leave the south with former Pompey star Paul Merson last night claiming "he lives in a lovely part of the world and I can't see Harry moving."

Redknapp has admitted one club has already been in touch with him, although he refused to identify them.

But he told BBC Sport: "Let's not kid ourselves, Wolves is a great club and they're a bit like when I first went to Pompey.

"Everyone told me that was a sleeping giant that I would never wake up, but Wolves have already been woken up."

Wolves have delayed naming a successor to Jones, who was sacked on November 1, with Sir Bobby Robson - currently negotiating the terms of his departure from Newcastle - also linked with the post.

Former Leicester boss Micky Adams, ex-West Brom manager Gary Megson and former Aston Villa boss John Gregory have also been linked with the Molineux post.

But Redknapp added: "Dave Jones did a great job in getting Wolves into the Premiership, but unfortunately they went down.

"But they have great support, a terrific stadium and it's a great job for somebody."

oh my :$

Had a good 3 seasons, beat United twice, beat Liverpool twice, drew with Arsenal twice and ive always said div 1 was a great league anyway. Playing Crewe and Rotherham isnt as aweful as some people would have you believe, probably just as aweful as watching Birmingham or Everton grind out a result but with more banter between the fans.

just heard that the big deal in the tunnel after the Arsenal match wasn't pizza, soup or any other food.Apparently the Arsenal players wouldn't swap shirts with any of the United players because underneath their own shirts they had 50 NOT OUT blazoned on T-shirts that they were going to display if the match went their way.

wow over three months into the season and RVN has finally scored from open play. and scholes has scored two in two. hopefully that's our problems with goalscoring done with and we can attempt to climb back upto third place by the end of the season.

Rob
11-27-2004, 01:01 PM
3rd place? You serious? We are only 3 points off Arsenal and 99 off Chelsea. We still have to play both of them and they still have to play each other twice. League is still wide open.

jerichoholic169
11-27-2004, 01:09 PM
yeah but tbh i cant see us with this squad getting higher than arsenal or chelsea. unless RVN scores 30 league goals and carroll turns into the new schmeichel. remember we have to go TO arsenal and by the time they'll be back in form. as for chelsea.....they're looking really strong.

Wow, Rob has been correct twice in a week. Chelsea have to play United at the Theatre of Silence, the Arse at home and the Library and the Geordies and Scousers in their ow back yards. with three out of four of them happening in April.

Like Neville, Fergie and Rooney have all said, you have a chance of winning the league still. More accuartley, like Fergie says, the league table means shit all until January. I still doubt United will not finish outside the top two.

Oh and for those people that got upset when I said I hope Diouf got injured. This is from the BBC match report:

"And as Bolton's frustrations grew El-Hadji Diouf seemed to spit at De Zeeuw. "

Now obviously im biased but if you can find anyone to say a bad word about de Zeeuw (apart from Dazz, but his reasons are gay) then you try. He is a complete professional, 100% effort, clean, fair and honest player and ive met him off the pitch and he is cushty there too. So I honestly doubt he did anything to wind up Diouf but even if he did, spitting is disgusting whatever. Now by my count thats 3 times he's been accused of spitting, twice against fans, the guy is a cheat and a scumbag and I seriously hope he suffers a serious injury because when he does, it will be funny as fuck.

Not a bad goal, but a good centre back would have scored two goals today ( )

But he was very professional about the spit, like Shearer said, another footballer may have sparked him. to De Zeeuw's credit he was obviously annoyed but his reaction was about as good as you could get, keep your temper, follow him and say what you like, but just don't lose it. Viera did dive, Hamman didn't touch him and he went flying on to the ground. But if he told the ref it wasn't a foul then fair play to him.

boro are appealing against french franks red card, after watching the replays i can see why, he went for the ball, his eyes were on the ball at all times and it was malicious at all. fair enough he shouldnt have gone in with 2 feet but i feel a yellow would have been more deserved.

saying that the way he's been playing latly we could do without him in the team, yesterdays red card follows 2 games in a row were he has got scinned and cost us a goal. also i feel sorry for young tony mcmahon, he was having a quality game (again) yesterday but yet again maclaren takes him off and brings on reizeger when we are chasing a game, and yet again within 2 minutes of him coming on we conside a goal. also schartzer got beat at his near post again, when will he learn?

Gotta admit, at first I thought it was a pen, the same with Rooney, but he definetly went for it. I dunno if Toure brushed his knee or not, but even so, it was a dive, and it pisses me off when Liverpool players act like cocks on the pitch (see previous comments about Diouf and Liverpool players (led by Kewell) taking balls into the corner).

well hopefully the match of the day 2 tv evidence last night that showed defoe doing more or less the same thing but his looked worse will help us. Defoe only got a yellow for his and again he clearly won the ball like franck did. and if it doesnt get recinded we allways have  super colin cooper  to fill in for him but knowing mclaren he will put zenden there and put nemeth on the right with parlour moving inside one!

The row about racism in Spanish football has taken a bizarre twist, with La Liga club Getafe's president, Angel Torres, announcing that the whole first team would play their next home game, against Villarreal in 10 days, with their faces blackened with shoe polish, to "prove" that the club is not racially prejudiced.

Torres's announcement followed ugly scenes in Getafe's home game against Barcelona on Saturday, during which the away team's striker, the Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o, was subjected to monkey chanting from a section of the crowd throughout the match. Eto'o, visibly upset by the chanting, was eventually booked for kicking the ball into the same area of fans as it ran out of play. Barcelona's Brazilian star Ronaldinho was also subjected to racial abuse in the match, which Barcelona won 2-1.

"It was a stupidity from four idiots who don't represent the fans of Getafe," said Torres, promising to ban those concerned if they are identified by security cameras. "But it brings shame on the whole club. It is a silly and disagreeable way of behaving." He consulted his players, who agreed to the unconventional protest, before making his announcement. Getafe, from the southern suburbs of Madrid, is one of three teams in the top league not to have any players from racial minorities in their squad.

The Spain manager Luis Aragones - who started the race row when he was overheard calling Arsenal striker Thierry Henry "a black ****" in order to motivate Henry's Spanish club-mate Jose Antonio Reyes during a training session for the national team six weeks ago - has revealed that his family asked him to quit his job over the affair. But he added: "I have never thought about resigning from my position... I think it is wrong that they [the English press] have been calling Spain racist, and calling me racist too."

The president of the Spanish FA, Angel Maria Villar, will appear before the Anti-Violence Commission next week to explain comments made by Aragones before Spain's friendly with England last month.

so by getting all his players to dress up like the minstrals is going to show his team isnt racist? i cant see how that is going to work myself, and i see that as more of an insult than anything. do the only thing you can do, ban the guys who were chanting and ban them from all football gounds for at least 5 years just like what happened in the UK.

im not saying this will stop it however it will send a message out that it wont be tolerated. i think im right when i say since the blackburn - birmingham game and what happened with that fan who abused yorke, there have been no reports of racial chanting in the games that have taken place since (that ive heard of)

i can actually picture this chairman funding a move for a black player in january just to show his club isnt racist and that would be wrong as they should be buying on a players ability and not skin colour!

Racism is fucked up, not spain!

6 out of 11 is not most, it's a small majority.

I just can't understand some (not an attack on you here btw) Man U fans hailing this as some great victory over the mortal enemy Arsenal, when United played half a reserve side against the Arsenal U21s and Jermaine Pennant. United *should* have won, if they hadn't might've been quite some time before you saw some of those players in the first team again.

Minus Wes Brown, it will a full reserve team, not half. Big deal anyways. The big names will be playing against Chelsea for sure.

i don't think it was a great victory - it was probably one of the worst mathces i've seen in a long time, especially after missing the first 30 seconds. arsenal's U21 side was mostly all foreign. and the reserve teams of united, arsenal and chelsea could easily compete in the premiership and beat most teams.

You've had no Butt or Shearer for the last couple games and done ok.

To be honest IMO you're going to be better off with say Jenas and Bowyer in the middle mainly because they have more energy than Butt has, and they're going to need it tomorrow. Plus on top of that Terry and Carvalho match up to Shearer physically pretty well, whereas Bellamy and Kluivert might be able to get round the back of them, especially if you put Dyer up against Gallas, who while he's quick isn't the most natural left-back in the world.

From what I have seen, Nicky Butt has been a huge dissapointment, it seemshe has forgotten how to tackle properly. I thought your defence held their own quite well last time we played you, and considering we will play with a lone striker I can't see us producing the goods, we seem to play better away. I would love it if we beat you 5-0 again though.

And yes Rob, screwed, as in they deserved to win if it wasn't for shit desicions, can you honestly argue back to any of the following:
Kluivert was not offside
There was no foul in Newcastle's late goal
O'Brien was fouled by Rooney in the run up to the penatly (not to mention Scholes' stupid looking dive, granted Given did make contact and fouled Scholes but he went down like a cunt)

WHAT A GAME. Bringing that fat lump Gudjohnsen off for Drogba really made the difference, as did Kezman being on the pitch. At half time I was pretty nervous about the second half, then Drogba showed he is the man and WOOOO, Kezman finally bagged one. He has been superb for us and I have never seen someone deserve a goal more, he has been so unlucky. To try a cheeky chip when he was under pressure to score shows how much of the man he is.

 at Newcastle fans chanting "What a waste of money" to Drogba, tossers.

Bit annoyed to see Robben dive twice, he should have been booked for the second one. Rob Styles needs to learn what advantage is and that if the lino flags an offside and he waves play on then he is a tit for then bringing play back 20 seconds later when the team lose the ball, besides that he was shit today anyway, fucking tosser.

Forlan also cost more.

Anyway, that's bollocks. And to prove it I checked over SportingLife.com's records of the last few seasons as to how many minutes each played in the league before they scored their first goal

Kezman: 1 goal in 458 minutes

Forlan: 1 goal in 790 minutes

So it's fair to say you're talking shit there Robert.

(if you're really interested he debuted as a sub away to Bolton Jan 29th 2002 and didn't score until October 26 2002 at home to Villa. He didn't score at all until a penalty against Maccabi Haifa at home on September 18th 2002)

No, but I haven't seen much of Forlan, the duck has, he is more clued up then me on the guy.

Kezman is a Paul Dickov type guy, makes stupid challenges, gets stuck in, only difference is he doesn't then try and wind up the player, he gets up and gets on with the game. Ask any of your Chelsea supporting mates about Kezman, the guys work rate is fanfuckingtastic.

Rob, can you honestly tell me Diego Forlan was good enough to be a United player? He worked tirelessly all game, there's no denying that, but in sheer quality and technique the guy was clearly lacking. His distribution was, at times, appauling and his shooting was rushed and reckless. He was light-weight and if you compare his game to Smithy's or Rooney's the difference is laughable. As for the statistics, it is true he didn't make that many starts etc., but in my mind his goal tally wasn't what really pissed me off - it was his general match-play.

As for Kezman, the guy was prolific in Holland (as was Ruud) and now he's off the mark it wouldn't surprise me if he weighed in with a fair few goals. Goal-scoring is all about confidence and the guy undeniably had it yesterday to take that penalty in that manner.

On a side not, everytime I see Robben play I get pissed off a little bit more. That bloke should be a United player and Giggs' heir to the left-wing throne, but for the cretins on the MUFC board. :(
