Friggen Boozer
R Kobe is still a selfish horrible teammate.
Ranks #12 in the NBA in Assists Per Game(6.3). Yeah, real selfish.
We're talking about a team that had Kwame Brown, Luke Walton and Smush Parker as starters and Brian Cook as one of the main guys coming in off the bench.
Perhaps you could say that his team didn't have success, but he didn't make his TEAMMATES better?
How is Smush doing now without Kobe?
Where was Mihm before he played for the Lakers?
How many assists has Kobe averaged all throughout years?
He's ALWAYS been one of the top assists 2 guard in the league.
Here we witness Carlos Boozer using unorthodox methods (body odor) in trying to stop Kobe Bryant.
http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/tools/med/2008/05/ipt/1209969712.jpg
I see that white thing keeping his pinky and other finger close together. Do you think it helps his shooting? I bought a shooting sleeve last night and I don't feel like it will help my shooting form so basically it seems like it will just make your arm sweaty and look cool.

both teams played like crap the first half and somehow you assume LeBron is going to "put the celtics out".
No question James didn't have his best game, but neither did Pierce or Allen.
Also consider the Celtics play great defense which allows them to win games when they can't score.
Celts > Cavs.

Celts STUGGLED to be ATLANTA, a team like 9 games under .500 and Boston won all their games at home. I'm saying LeBron doesn't have bad games all that often, and this is the guy who single handedly put Detriot out last year.
I'm sick of everyone on the Celts bandwagon, no one watched these bums last year.
Ummm, And Cavs have some pretty solid D themselves, I don't remember the Cavs being blown out yesterday.
Celts may win the series, but I would't bet on it, and betting on the Celts to win the championship is retarded. They can't beat the Lakers or Hornets, who will run them up and down the floor all night.
PLUS, They STRUGGLED to beat the HAWKS!

Struggled? I mean, it did go 7 games, but game 7 was over by half-time.
I'm sick of everyone on the Celts bandwagon, no one watched these bums last year.
and who was watching the Cavs the year before they got James? Exactly, teams change, trades, drafts, free agents change a team year to year... hardly see why because they were bad last year that makes them bad this year.
Ummm, And Cavs have some pretty solid D themselves, I don't remember the Cavs being blown out yesterday.
So then by that logic that they will hold Pierce to 4pts and Allen to 0 all series then the same logic is the Celts hold Lebron to 12 and the result would then be the same.
Celts may win the series, but I would't bet on it, and betting on the Celts to win the championship is retarded. They can't beat the Lakers or Hornets, who will run them up and down the floor all night.
The celtics may win, but you wouldn't bet on it... so what you're basicly saying is either the Celtics or Cavs may win, in your opinion... thanks for clearing that up.
they beat the Lakers twice (home and away)
split the series with the Hornets
Can't? that's a strong word... I think the chance are pretty good.
PLUS, They STRUGGLED to beat the HAWKS!
yes, they went 7 games... they won, and killed them game 7.
I'm not saying it's a lock the Celtics go all the way and win, but the odds are pretty good.
you're talking about the #2 defense in the league this year, they avergaged beating teams by over 10 points per game.
4th in FG %.
the list goes on, they had a bad series in round 1, but that doesn't write a team off.

Chris Paul will honor a boy whose wish to see the Hornets went unfulfilled
Cancer victim tribute afoot
Thursday, May 08, 2008
By Katy Reckdahl Staff writer
Before tonight's playoff game, New Orleans Hornets superstar point guard Chris Paul will write the name "Brian" on his shoes, paying tribute to an 8-year-old fan who died Monday night before he could meet his basketball hero.
Brian, who had cancer, wore his Chris Paul jersey nonstop, said Michael McMyne, president of A Child's Wish of Greater New Orleans, an all-volunteer nonprofit that helps fulfill the wishes of about 100 critically ill Louisiana children each year. McMyne asked that Brian's last name not be used to respect the privacy of the grieving family.
Brian's wish was simple: He wanted to go to a Hornets game.
So McMyne got him tickets to Monday night's playoff game against the San Antonio Spurs.
But at the last minute, a friend of Brian's family called to cancel. The boy had been rushed to the hospital with a high fever, she said. He died hours later.
In his final weeks, Brian told his family that he knew he was going to heaven and that he wanted to meet Jesus wearing his Chris Paul jersey.
Someone within the Hornets organization sent around an e-mail telling Brian's story. It caught the eye of Paul and Hornets owner George Shinn. Both cried.
"It was very touching to me. Tears welled up in my eyes," said Shinn, who sent flowers and a letter to the family and offered to help with funeral costs. The family, overwhelmed with grief, was touched by his kindness but declined. The location and time of the funeral also are private.
Shinn and his wife hoped to attend the funeral with Paul and his parents. But the team will be on road at the time, so that isn't possible, Shinn said. The family plans to bury Brian in his favorite jersey, as he requested.
Footwear tributes aren't new, Shinn said. But usually the name is directly connected to the player. His mother. A family member. A favorite coach. "The NBA allows you to do that, to honor that person," Shinn said.
Shinn has never before seen a player write a fan's name on his footwear, "particularly a fan that the player hadn't even met," he said.
The tribute is "above and beyond imagination," McMyne said. "This genuinely heartfelt response by Chris Paul made this delicate family feel fortunate as they grieve their angel."
With all the assholes getting arrested and being all around trouble makers in pro sports, it's good to see we still have role models for our kids to look up to..

Celts up 24 points in the 4th.
Maybe when you actually have a clue what you're talking about you can call other people stupid, till then, sit in the corner with your dunce cap on.
by the way, Atlanta split their series with LA and Charlotte this year, so by your logic neither one of those teams could be good either.
again, I'm not saying it's a lock the Celtics win it all, but the best defensive team in the league, biggest winning margin over the season, most wins in the regular season.
To dismiss them the way you are is just silly, and your reasons are even sillier. "No one cared about them last year"...

agreed, they seem to be changing game plan when they go on the road in the playoffs, not sure if it's a player thing or a coach thing, either way they need to fix it.
What, Lakers, Spurs and Orlando all won road games in the first round, and those are just the ones I can name off hand.
Vel was refering to that the Pistons are the only wins to win on the road in Round 2.
yes, mis-typed but that was what I was referring to. and wasn't the Pistons win game 4? which would mean every home advantage team dropped game 3 in round 2.

Can't stop LeBron? have you watched any of these games? LeBron had his best game of the series last night and was 8 of 21 from the floor. (5-16 FG 3-5 3pts), If I had to pick an MVP for Clevland so far this series it's Iglauskas.
Last night the Celtics got blown out in the first quater and never were able to get that back, they outscored the Cavs in the 2nd and 3rd, they didn't in the 4th but Doc also benched most the starters with like 5mins left.
IC, you're still doing this "if this then that" routine, are you picking the Cavs to win or not? I'm just looking for a clear prediction from you on the series.
I've stated all along the Celtics win this series, that hasn't changed. But you keep seeming to say "The Cavs can, but might not, but might" come'on man, get off the fence and make a pick.

Counting the postseason the Jazz are 42-5 at home. However their road record is not impressive but if I am correct they started improving on the road in the 2nd half of the season. I think the Game 5 winner of the Lakers/Jazz will be the series winner because if the Jazz win they should be able to take care of home court in game 6. If the Lakers win I see them taking Game 7. Phil Jackson is like 43-0 in series where he wins Game 1 and has an outstanding Game 7 record.

peja is not better than okur, willaims has owned paul this season and West is not better than Boozer. Unfortunately we have to trot out Brewer who does shit all. Kirlenko will guard peja. Chandler can't guard Okur because Okur lives on the 3 point line, which leaves West to rebound against AK-47 and Boozer which is too much for West to handle. Look what happened this season.

you mena game 1 where D will was 1 assist and 1 reobound shy of a triple double and game 2 where he scored 25 and 10, are those the games you're talking about, because I'll double check.
lol Look at this one Hornet's fan.

it won't go 7 cause the jazz are winning two straight
I'm not a Cavs fan. I'm just a really really big Lebron fan. So and yah fuck Boston.

Really annoying to see Lebron shoot ridiclious 3's when he is unstoppable going to the basket.

For all their road troubles at least the Celtics (like most playoff teams this yr) are winning all of their home games. Since they have homecourt adv they could just go unbeaten at home and win it all but I see somebody getting them in Boston.

Another close game. Cavs keep getting closer to winning in Boston, and come game 7 I have a feeling they will.

Watching these playoffs I've come to see one thing that makes no sense.
Why is Jason Kidd on the USA team over Deron Williams?

Id say Legend 2 reasons
1. Kidd would be one of the teams veterans and be used for leadership
2. Deron Williams showed how great he was when he led the Jazz to the Western Finals last yr and the teams were chosen by then.
It is a shame though that hes not on the team. I think if it wasnt for CPIII that Deron Williams would be getting all of his hype.
