If you have a Vita, all I hear about Persona 4 Golden is how amazing it is.

I was gonna start Dishonored last night, had it for months but not got round to it. I ended up leaving it too late and didn't want to to play for an hour and put it down, so I played some WWE 13 universe mode instead.

I'd say you probably shouldn't touch Persona 1 or either part of Persona 2. They haven't aged particularly well. Persona 3 is pretty good, but the seven hours I've played of Persona 4 has more interesting characters than Persona 3.

I know you play a lot of JRPGs though, so you could probably handle whatever. Luckily there are some decent remakes of 1 and 2 (though EP isn't out yet, I believe) on the PSP, so I'd probably go there for those.

Along with Persona 4 (slowly, I haven't really been in the mood recently, despite how good it is), I've been playing Metroid: Zero Mission and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and I'm enjoying both a lot.

"Persona 3 FES" is the only one I have so that is the one I am going to play. I'm not really sure how the series works.

They don't have much of anything to do with each other (P1 and P2 are technically in the same timeline, as are P3 and P4), but the connections aren't really important. I played Persona 3 FES, and its definitely worth playing (I wasn't a huge fan of the extra campaign that they added at the end of FES, but it did add to the end of the story).

Just went through ICO for the first time. Not really sure why it gets so much praise, it took me 40 minutes of aimlessly exploring a room right near the beginning before I walked close enough to the doors for Yorda to magically open them, when I had no idea she could even do that. That pretty much sums up my feelings on the game.

Yeah, I never got into ICO either despite so many people raving about it, much preferred Shadow of the Colossus.

ICO was mostly about the aesthetic to me, the puzzles could be challenging/frustrating though. You're barely given any guidance which I liked because it puts you in that position of feeling clueless and helpless like the boy and the girl are.

Boomer

I liked ICO a lot when I played it. Loved the simplicity of the relationship, and felt more connected to the two characters than I ended up feeling with SotC. Shadow is the better playing game, though, no question.

I didn't feel anything towards Yorda but spite for taking 5 minutes to climb up a ladder. I guess going into it straight off Bioshock Infinite did it no favours.

Games I've Beaten in 2013:

Max Payne 3 - 80
Driver: San Francisco - 77
Shift 2 Unleashed - Holy Shit I Don't Care
Dead Space 2 - 77
inFamous 2 - 65
God of War 3 - 70
God of War: Origins - 61
The Walking Dead - 79
Forza: Horizon - 62
Tomb Raider - 71
MLB 13: The Show - 80

Tomb Raider was fine. I dunno. The ending was very anti-climatic. I dunno, I don't feel like typing.

MLB 13 is fine too whatever.

Sadly it does not, as I only have a standard laptop keyboard which is of the QWERTY variety, and is without any fancy-shmancy symbol entry buttons that would allow me to create the empty heart that I desire (it's poetic really; I'm full of desire and yet I want an empty heart... anywho). Do you have a suggestion for me or other users in my position as to how we can circumvent this obstacle to help us in our qualm? (While I know I can make the symbol [♡] and that it isn't ABSOLUTELY mandatory that I be able to know the method of creation, it would be helpful if I had a go-to method of making it, so that whenever I want to use it I can do it on the fly instead of having to refer back to this thread.)

Hope this answers your question, OssMan.

Sadly it does not,

Ah. Technically, I was wrong, here: my original question was how you made the heart, which you did answer, (completely and concisely, I may add), since you told me the process that you used to make it. I then mistakenly responded that you did NOT answer my question, when in fact you did. The reasoning behind this was that A) the real issue I was getting at was how I could make the symbol on my own, and I was attempting to do so through the method which you used, and B) that I was not paying complete attention to the question I had asked. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

Actually feel dumb for not remembering this last night but you can do an ASCII “filled” heart by simply holding ALT and pressing 3 on the numeric keypad (the numbers not above the letters, but under the Num Lock key): Doing so produces ♥.

Remember Me. A fucking wacked yet good gameplay mechanics in the tradition of Arkham, Tomb Raider, Assasin's Creed, Total Recall, Eraser and Minority Report in one..

I also liked the boss battles in this one esp. the memory remixes in other people's memories.. At first, I thought the memory glitches felt like my game was on error and static much like in a TV screen but still, it was intense of rewinding and moving objects ala the Matrix style.

And the heroine looks like Halle Berry/Rihanna lovechild. lol.

Finished beating the game Remember Me... On hardcore mode "Memory Hunter" option.. My only complaint are the camera angles during the boss battles esp. the last one. I can hardly tell whether I'm being hit from behind or front everytime I shoot the cubes... Still, it was another Game of the year 2013 nominee for me... And I like the message of the game of how memories can be just as part of human life despite negative ones and trying to change the past by manipulating the minds of other people and their dark secrets.. Nilin is the new Tomb Raider of the cyber world. More like memory raider.. Still, I could care less if the battle fight moves are repetitive or whatnot.. There's one boss battle named Kid X-Mas who behaves like Punch Out's Bald Bull charging at you everytime you punch and he blocks. Highly recommend this game..

The Leapers and Skinners reminded me sooo much of Bioshock's Splicers... And the final boss battle with the AI of Memorize was just as intense as beating a giant Human Reaper in Mass Effect 2.. I died many times trying to beat his ass by just shooting the fucking cubes without being interrupted by LOTS of Leapers esp. the invisible ones that scratch your ass to the floor for it.

Also, I'm done beating Fuse.. Even on Normal mode the final boss battle can be totally frustrating.. Stupid Medic AI doesn't even notice me when I tap A to crawl faster when hurt.

Finished my 2nd playthrough of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and got 2/3 100 pt. achievements. Just gotta play once more on hard with the safeties off and do a supersneaky run through factory zero and that'll be done. But that's another day.

Next: Finish King Washington in Assassin's Creed 3. Followed by The Witcher 2.

Playing Mass Effect on PS3, the controls are really jarring as their set to L2/R2 for aiming and shooting, where-as in 2 and 3 it's L1/R1. Changing it back! The trigger configuration only works on 360 controllers.

Tyranny of King Washington is done in Assassin's Creed 3. The last couple scenes made up for how farfetched the story was. Still didn't like how dumbed down the maps and items were. Hope the team on Assassin's Creed 4 learns from this.

Going back through Dead Space at the moment, man this game is so unsettling, it's scary in a way the Resident Evil games used to shit me up on PS1. After this I'll be playing Dead Space 2 for the first time.

Based on what I've read about Dead Space 3, it seems they've made the same mistake as Capcom and turned it into more of an action shooter.

Pretty easily got all the Dragon Keep achievements and finished all the missions in like ~12 hours the other day. Still need stupid ass Michael Mamaril to show up to Sanctuary and give me a fucking gun for that achievement, and the other one pissing me off right now is for Axton's action skill achievement of killing a total of 100 enemies with the sabre turret. I was at 5 the other day, got to like 106 looking at the challenge screen, which means if I got 101 kills in that session, that should be more than enough to satisfy the requirements for that achievement to pop...but it didn't.

Another game of the year 2013 nominee for me. I could list lots of LOL moments of Deadpool being a talkative noisy prick from making fun of the player's tutorial to the game story, it's almost like he's talking to you the player just to piss off or have a comedy central hour with him.. He almost felt like he really owns this game like as if he's alive inside your comic world.

Best parts was imagining a fangirl and instead he got Cable and he almost squeezed his man tits!!! And slapping Wolverine too.. That was fun.. I love his gross moments in his apartment by taking a shit then I saw this blockout censor thingy and he expanded and goes, "THAT'S BETTER!" My god I couldn't stop giggling and smiling how he's so very talkative and funny everytime I finish a level. I think I finally understand the Deadpool appeal.. Can't wait to finish it and he's like the Ace Ventura/Tex Avery/The Mask of the Marvel universe...

You know as much as I heard I was going to hate it, I think Revelations was actually my second favorite of the series so far behind the first one. Probably because I stuck to the main story and did none of the side stuff except a couple of den takeovers and accidentely entered, and lost, a den defense then subsequently killed the 2 captains and regained said den. I imagine it will still be second because what little I saw of my brother playing ACIII didn't look better, but I may have missed the fun stuff.

Good idea, poor execution. Too many load screens, to long of load screens, you get reset if you get of course by more than a car length, and why is there "make up time" sections when the race is position based EA? Lame game, why can't they bring back the Underground series :/

I like that the mission structure is dynamic, vehicles are finite, and that the item spawns are random. Makes it more than just "run to x house and get the bazooka" demigoding (although you can exploit the hell out of the modern pickup truck if you have a decent homebase). But, it also means you can easily get boned by not finding any good weapons or guns for quite awhile... or getting a decent gun but barely any ammo, or a ton of ammo, but not finding the right calibur gun to even use them.

My main complaint, however, is the fatigue and sleep deprivation. I mean, I get what they were trying to do, (not having one person, say Marcus, do EVERYTHING even though he is the Chrissy in this Friday the 13th) and it's a cool concept on paper... but only being able to do like 2 missions then having to go all the way back home and swap with someone who can't carry as much weight when the game arbirarily decides they're sleepy is a pain in the ass. Especially early on, when you don't have many "friends", and you're stuck with like a 3 man rotation (Marcus, Maya, random 3rd recruit). If they're all tired/hurt, you're kinda fucked.

Also, the fact that the Y button does EVERYTHING has fucked me over as well. I've had countless times where I'm trying to stealth kill, and end up going "HEY, OVER HERE!" and been ripped apart by the Big 'Un because I was trying to close a door to stop a flood of perpetual spawning zeds I was too tired to fight off looking for that damned watch, and ended up spin kicking out the doorway and getting grabbed.

I had scav'd some reall kick-ass shotguns and a decent ammount of large backpacks that game, too. Tragic.

Contemplated making a thread about this, but I didn't want to be the only poster. What can I say, I'm a sucker for hopeless underdgs.

So... just set up my OUYA.

Seems a bit interesting so far, except a couple larger titles like Sonic 4 and Final Fantasy III. Obviously, most of the titles are indy fare. Tried Sonic 4:ep 1 to demo to check the responsiveness of the controller, since I'm already familliar with the game. Feels pretty good and responsive for something that feels almost like an offbrand 360 controller in your hands. Haven't really tested the touchpad outside of the GUI of the system. Not bad, but not great... almost like a cheap surplus laptop from 5 years ago. Haven't tried a game needing it yet, though.

Has potential for the $100 spent. I know the upcoming Gamestick is $20 cheaper, but it isn't quite as open (purportedly no room for emu or rooting of any kind, no expansion of memory, wifi only). Hoping it doesn't get completely drowned out in the waves of the "big 3" and go the way of Neo Geo Pocket Color. Need more hands on time with it than the 30 min I've spent playing around with it now.

Anyone else get one/try one/care?

Coughed up the points and bought the add-on to Samurai Warriors 2. One of the few games where if you haven't completed it before you got your 1000 points, you were forced to get said add-on for total completion.

Should have this out of the way before Splinter Cell: Blacklist comes out in a couple weeks.

I know, the only thing is my 360 play time has been brought to a screeching halt in the last few weeks since the people I rent from brought in a new roommate to live in the room where my tv was and my room has no tv jack so that's why I've started to get more into Steam. I was kind of trudging along through those games that I didn't really care about just to get rid of them in order to have time for Fallout and the 2 Arkham games and now I have no time to play them at all.I shall overcome the odds though, and claim that title no matter the cost.

Quick question. How do you save on the Steam version of Final Fantasy VII? Feel dumb asking it, but the option stays grayed out and I lost like 40 minutes of progress earlier because I am oblivious. It mentions Steam saving, but apparently the servers for it are M.I.A. so that seems to be out too.

If anyone mentions a checkpoint shortly after Cloud, Barret and Tifa have their initial tiff in the clubhouse I will cry big crocodile tears as that is the point I gave up and just hit the quit to Windows button hoping it would save that way. Alas it did not.

There's a save point one screen over from outside the bar where the support tower is. I think there's also one on the 2nd floor tutorial room just south of the bar. Basically you walk into it and then you can save while you're occupying the same space.

I came across one of those while blowing the reactor and I thought it meant I could save at any point from that moment on. I didn't realize it was a "C" for checkpoint. I thought it was a "?" for tips or something. I didn't explore any of the area around the bar, just went in got whined at, got my money, then quit. In short, I am an idiot. Almost finished with Ryse. Great game, not sure why it got so much flak. Combat is very Batman: Arkham games, the switching of 'perk' rewards when you finish an execution adds an element of strategy, and the story isnt half bad.

Really hard Megaman fan game, but it's not hard for the sake of being hard like most fan games. Tough as it is, it's still fair. If there's one criticism I could lay against it, it's that the levels are just too long.

The Day in the Limelight games are still the best. Third one on the way. But still, I like this one for the challenge, and original sprites and backgrounds.

I never got over the hump on Skyrim. I just cant connect with fantasy settings. I was like that with Bioware (Mass Effect over Dragon Age) but I did push myself to finish Dragon Age and ended up loving it, so I should attempt the same with Elder Scrolls.

beat the last of us

I've never felt so engaged emotionally with a video game but I don't think a second playthrough will have the same feeling. I will run back through it just to see what I missed

been also rocking another Fallout 3 playthrough and on my main game of Skyrim

bought Gran Turismo 5 just to f around

Yeah, Terreria in space basically which I'm all about. Can't wait to buy it in about a year and half in a Humble Indie Bundle.

Beat Dead Rising 3 this weekend. I didn't level up all the way and complete all the side missions so I'm going to do that.

It is one hell of a game. If you have attention deficit problems you will love it. Shiny things and plenty of ways to kill zombies.

9.5/10

Would hit it

It's a hilarious button basher. No real skill involved so far, but it's hella funny.
