As much as I hate the Cowboys, I really like/respect Witten and Ware..

I don't know how anybody can not like them. Even with the rep the Cowboys have of being arrogant jackasses who have proven nothing, those two are the complete opposite of that. Such great players who you know give everything they have in order to win and they get stuck with the bullshit the Cowboys have been for awhile.

Anyway, hope they pull this off.

Kris P Lettus

I'm torn about a possible QB change in Philadelphia.

On one hand Vick shouldn't be the QB any more. He's washed up and done. On the other hand if Foles plays well that could buy Andy Reid some time, and I really really don't want that.

I'm really going to have to think about this for a while.

I'm pretty fucking excited that the Colts are 4-3 right now. Next week game is HUGE. What a freaking game. Who would have thought Miami vs Indy would be a huge week 9 game.

Luck made some inexplicable passes yesterday. I counted 3 or 4, but he has the clutch gene for sure. He makes some unbelievable passes in impossibly small pockets, with guys hanging all over him. That 3rd down 20 yard pass to Wayne on the final drive, he had a dude hanging on his shoulders. I dont even know how it happened. He did it against GB with Matthews hanging all over him.

His ability to throw on the run might be better than anyone in the league. Maybe that's a skewed view because lets be honest, he's often on the run. Our offensive line is shaky at best. They're getting better run blocking, but the pocket breakdowns are going to get Luck killed if they dont fix it.

I'm so fucking excited now. I was at about a 6 last week. I was trying not to go overboard about the Colts 3-3 record, but now i'm at a full blown 10. They beat Miami next week and they have a serious shot at a Wild Card. Holy shit!

HISTORY LESSON WITH KRIS P LETTUS!!!

Wildly inaccurate since my team does not currently suck worse than yours and thus there would be no need to divert attention from it. Just when I've complimented you on your gaining the ability to comprehend history, you fail on comprehending the present.

I wanted Dallas to draft Jackson the year they traded the pick to Buffalo and St. Louis took him two picks later. If the offensive line was better, I'd say go for him. Apparently St. Louis wants at least a 3rd round pick in return though.

It's not any QB's fault, it's the o-line. To say the Arizona offensive line is awful is really beating a dead horse for the past 12 years. It's always been bad, but never this bad.

Last week (or might have been the week before, I dunno it's all a blur) Skelton was sacked in 1.95 seconds. That can't happen.

Batiste and Massie are so... bad. Like a very small part of me actually feels sorry for both of them for all the (rightfully deserved) shit they're getting. There times where the defensive end doesn't even make contact with either of them before crushing the shit out of Kolb/Skelton/Whateverpoorsapisplaying.

I don't understand. I don't give a shit about how the talent in the NFL is "on another level". I'm assuming these dickheads went to college where they also played offensive line. That's 4 years of experience. You should know what the fuck to do. If you get run over, that's understandable. If the defender makes an incredible move, that's forgivable. If the QB scrambles the wrong way and into your engaged oppenent, what can you do.

But when you don't even get a hand on him? When you don't even make contact? You are literally not doing your job and I can do better. I can absolutely do better. Put me out there coach. Line me up against Jared Allen and I will at least touch him. He will run me the fuck over but hey, I made contact. I am literally better than nothing because that is the protection they provide. Nothing. Aldon Smith ran right by him and sacked Skelton. Right by him. He wasn't touched. Put me in and I will put a hand on him. And I'll do it for 1/10th of whatever Massie or Batiste is making.

Depth. Like Skippord said, Burleson just broke his leg, Titus Young has been pretty inconsistent and there's a rookie playing behind him. They probably just wanted to get a veteran in there to compete for playing time.

Whoa. The Chiefs aren't nearly as bad as this horrible record. If they suck all year and get the first pick in the draft, they're going to be pretty scary.

The defense shows flashes of being competent but overall it's pretty bad. Offensively, Jamaal Charles is incredible and Bowe is a good receiver but there isn't much else after that. They desperately need a QB. Trading for Cassell was one of the more boneheaded trades in recent history. I think they might be a good QB away from being "average" but I don't think they're at the point where one pick would make them scary.

Emperor Smeat
11-02-2012, 05:32 PM
Scoring has been their biggest problem for years since getting Cassel but not just on offense since even the defense ranks as one of the worst.

They get way too many FGs instead of TDs while the opposite happens with their defense giving up way too many TDs instead of holding for FGs.

Sproles, who broke his hand and had surgery, will be out indefinitely, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Spin: At this point, coach Joe Vitt does not have a timetable for Sproles' return, but he is ruled out for Monday's game against the Eagles. "I really don't know that," Vitt said with regards to a potential Sproles timetable. "We'll evaluate him again next week." With Sproles out, Pierre Thomas figures to see an increase in touches/production, with Mark Ingram, Chris Ivory and perhaps even Travaris Cadet in line for extra looks as well.

Sources: Sean Payton contract voided
By Adam Schefter
ESPN

Within the past year, the multiyear contract extension the Saints announced for Sean Payton in September 2011 was voided by the NFL, making the suspended head coach a free agent after this season and casting questions on how long he will remain in New Orleans, according to league sources.
Payton is expected to become the NFL's most sought-after head coach after this season and there already is speculation in league circles that he could wind up returning to Dallas, where he worked as the assistant head coach from 2003 to 2005, during which time the Cowboys brought in quarterback Tony Romo, who attended the same college, Eastern Illinois, as Payton.
Saints Bounty Scandal

An NFL investigation found the New Orleans Saints operated a bounty system that rewarded 22 to 27 players for hard hits and for injuring opposing players. Profile »

Just as Payton's role in the bounty scandal has been an ongoing saga with the NFL for the past year, so has his contract.
As recently as March, when Payton was visiting NFL offices to appeal his yearlong suspension in the bounty scandal, he asked NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for the status of his contract extension and was told it was unsatisfactory as it initially was constituted, sources said.
At issue in the contract was one specific clause that would have enabled Payton to walk away from the deal if general manager Mickey Loomis was suspended, fired or left the New Orleans organization, sources said.
The league believed that any such language in Payton's contract would set a bad precedent for other coaching contracts and rejected the deal well before Loomis was suspended for the first eight games this season for his part in the bounty scandal.
Dating back to roughly the start of this year, the two sides engaged in numerous subsequent conversations to try to resolve the issue but never did.
In the interim, the league has granted Payton permission to work for Saints owner Tom Benson's NBA New Orleans team, and the suspended head coach has been doing some spot work there to earn income.
More on the Cowboys

Calvin Watkins, Tim MacMahon and Todd Archer have the Dallas Cowboys blanketed.

Top 50 Cowboys

Some in the league office believe Payton's contract could toll -- meaning the last year would be put on hold, tying him to New Orleans for the 2013 season -- but there is no evidence to confirm that possibility. Until now, the league has not been asked to review or rule on the contract, according to sources, though some believe it eventually could.
To others, there is no issue. Payton will be a free agent. Some believe Payton's strong relationship with Benson will be enough to keep him in New Orleans long term.
But others are more skeptical, knowing that the suspended head coach has undergone some personal changes in his life that have included going through a divorce and spending plenty of time in Dallas.
When Benson initially announced last year the extension for Payton that never got league approval, he said: "I am very pleased to announce this contract extension today for Sean that will run through the 2015 season. Our goal is to continue to build a tradition of winning here in New Orleans and Sean represents that tradition."
