Game was fun. Colts played like shit but still won.

On one hand, the defense allowed 500+ yards against us. On the other, they turned the ball over 3 times at KEY points when it was necessary. One for a pick 6, the others to prevent touchdowns. Offense was just terrible. Couldn't catch a pass to save their lives. So many dropped ones, poor throws, terrible run game. Honestly one of the worst performances I've seen out of our offense this year, and Luck didn't even throw a pick.

Jamaal Charles was a beast. Wish we had a guy like that to solidify our run game. I like Donald Brown but he is not a game changer. He can't take enough focus away from the pass to make our run worth anything. And injuries lately are killing us anyways.

Arrowhead was kind of dead from what I imagine it is like when the Chiefs don't suck all year. People got louder when the game was tied, and the second the Chiefs blew their chance, people were leaving. Lotta people left at halftime and then with about 4-5 minutes to go even though the Chiefs still had a chance.

Was a fun experience, and really different than watching on TV. Kinda like TV better, although I would kill to go to a Colts game at Lucas Oil during a key matchup. Hearing that crowd in the dome would be surreal.

Had some guy make a huge deal to everyone around him about this one guy a couple rows down who supposedly 'laughed' at an injured player even though nobody heard him. Then that same guy later kept staring straight at us and clapping and loudly yelling when a call was made in the Chiefs favor. Which in turn, made us get that much louder when the Colts did something. Was pretty 'lol' at the time.

FUCKING PLAYOFFS BITCHES. Brand new team most of the way around, goes 10 and 5 (hopefully 11-5 next week), makes playoffs. Have a real chance at winning their first playoff game. Second could be incredibly tough and probably won't win but who knows.

Bruce Arians will be coaching the Eagles next year. Mark my words. That's the easiest lock ever.

You don't think Colts will try to hang on to him? I mean, it's pretty much -his- offense. Why would they let him go to coach another team when they just built a brand new team around a system that he's a key part of? I mean, the guy just took the team to the playoffs without being the coach at the start of the season. That's someone you fucking hold onto.

Head Coach of the Oregon Ducks. They have had a run of dominance since he became OC and then HC. He is wide open no huddle spread option guy though. I just don't think that will work in the NFL as a base offense.

It's not so much the Colts letting him go as it would be his desire to be the King as opposed to the Prince. I don't think they could give him the pay and perks it would take to keep him from going for a head coaching position without neutering Pagano a little bit.

I've always wondered if there's something about Arians that keeps him from being an HC though. I figured all the success the Steelers had when he was their OC would have gotten him some looks, but he was never in the conversation for any open positons and the Steelers didn't seem to do much to try to keep him when he left for Indy even though Big Ben wasn't happy about him leaving.

The Ravens just fired their OC. They are literally not the same team they were at the beginning of the season.
Actually, you're wrong but that's OK. Jim Caldwell did the offensive play calling in the 44-13 smack down of the Bengals week 1. Cam caemeron got pissed off and never let him do any more play calling. The offense had the spark in the Bengal game just like this giants game. From this knowledge I am convinced the offense will turn tings around down the stretch and firing cam will look like a fucking genius move, just wishing they had made the move sooner.

What happens if the patriots lose and the colts have to go to foxborough and play a pissed off bellichick and Brady? That's actually at least 1 in a million likely, unlike your carle batch scenario.

NBC will want the rookie qb games

I can't see the Colts or Bengals winning on the road in the playoffs. From a neutral "fan of the game" standpoint I hate seeing the Bengals in the playoffs. They get beaten convincingly in the wild card round every time. I hope they can prove me wrong this time but I doubt it. With the Colts I think it's a brilliant achievement what they've done this year but they've gone as far as they'll go now for this season. They've been scraping past mediocre teams all season and their only wins over play off calibre teams were the Vikings in week 2 and the Packers in week 5. They even got smashed 35-9 by the Jets. None of this matters once you're in of course. I just haven't seen anything to convince me that they're capable of a big win away from home just yet.

Stranger things have happened though.

Yeah we know, you think Joe Flacco is the greatest. Too bad for you that Luck's rookie season is about as good as the best Flacco has ever done. Couple more ints.. WAY more yards than he's ever thrown, more completions, TDs about the same.

What are you smoking that you think the Ravens are apparently laughably unbeatable by a team that's done roughly the same as them all year. You mean this veteran Ravens team that's been struggling for years to make it to the Super Bowl under Flacco. Perennial playoff busts, amirite? They have the same record, and Luck, in his first season with a brand new fucking team, has been playing as good, if not better in key aspects, than Flacco has done in his whole fucking career.

So yeah, they have a -real shot- at winning, against a team which has really been doing about the same. Better enjoy the level playing field this year, because it's the last season Flacco ever even comes close to Luck's caliber.

I can't see the colts winning in Baltimore..the only wins on the road were vs the titans, jaguars, chiefs and lion..they lost to the pats, texans, bears and lol..jets on the road.

You guys also lost to the Texans, Skins, Broncos, and Steelers See? I can list off good teams that your team also lost to. Jets are the exception of course, but come on you guys lost to the browns. FFS, you guys beat the Chiefs by a pitiful 9-6. At least our 'lol' loss against the Jets was the week after we fought our asses off to stage a 21-3 comeback to win against the Packers. We didn't lose that bad to the Texans at least, and you may end up playing them which would be just as bad as us having to play the Patriots. So really, these two teams have been having an incredibly similar season, and to laugh and act like the Ravens (LOL the Ravens) are an unstoppable force this year, is moronic and is exactly something I would expect out of you.

So again, I hope you enjoy this short period of time where Flacco is remotely comparable to Luck. Next season, Luck is next level.

Worst season in franchise history. Shorts III ends the season on IR and was only 21 yards shy of 1,000. Now all this Tebow drama again. Ugh, I'd rather the team just forfeit on Sunday in Tennessee. Oh well, at least there is the #2 overall pick in the draft to look forward too? Then again, if Smith doesn't get fired, then we'll likely waste it on a long snapper or a fullback.

49ers Mario Manningham out for the season with a torn ACL and PCL in his left knee.

Cards Beanie Wells says he's done playing for the Cardinals and will leave once the season ends.

According to ESPN, the Saints defense is almost guaranteed to break the NFL record for most yards allowed in a season. Needs to hold Carolina to under 280 yards to not have it occur (lowest allowed this season was 283 vs Atlanta).

Really? I can't let things pass? Like the post I deleted because I thought better of it?

I get pissed off because it just doesn't stop. It's been how many years since any of those situations, and you still never let up, even though I purposely go out of my way to avoid you on this forum. Seriously. I don't direct posts at you if I can help it, but you go out of your way to grab some random thing I've said and toss a jab my way just to try and get a rise. Or call me Il Duce condescendingly. Or point out how stupid you think everything I say is. Congrats, after the fact, it's incredibly easy to rile me up when a mod abuses some power and posts deleted posts that were deleted for the precise reason of me 'letting it pass', which is what I'm being accused of being unable to do. So thanks. Continue holding a Kane Knight level of grudge against me for what amounts to be no more of a reason than any of KK's own grudges.

And Supreme, fuck you. Apparently nothing is private on here, and really this whole situation wouldn't bother me whatsoever if this deleted post nonsense hadn't happened. Would have gladly continued ignoring the situation like I was going to by deleting my post. Supreme gets a much bigger "Fuck you" in this whole exchange. Because really, how much of an obvious cunt do you have to be? You get some power on here to maybe make this place a little nicer, and you use it to start a fight with some words that weren't going to be said. This is honestly the most classless thing you've done on here. This is why you don't deserve King of the Forum. Shouldn't be a mod either, if you're just gonna use it for your own personal entertainment, but I doubt that will change.

I have faith Tony Romo will win this game for the Cowboys. He has played pretty well for the past few weeks.

Tomorrow is like a extra playoff week with all the must wins (For playoff berths or home field)!

Droford should be a homer and fuck everybody who isn't a homer. It just means your team sucks. Deal with it.

Why should everyone be a homer though? It's not like the teams are made up of players from your area anymore. Plus with the exposure we have to so many other teams now you should pick a team you enjoy. I don't agree with switching teams every few years because your team starts to suck, but just cheering for a team because they are located in the same place as you isn't always the way to go either.

I mean I was a Redskins fan up till like the 5th grade and when they're winning, and sometimes when they just think they will, Skins fans can be downright unbearable, and I wasn't about to cheer for Dallas because their fans were the same, if not worse. Super Bowl 26 is the biggest reason I'm a Broncos fan, I wanted a team no one around here would be a fan of, that and Joe Gibbs retiring the first time.

#1-norm-fan
12-29-2012, 06:19 PM
Honestly, I have faith in Romo but as decimated as the defense is I have a feeling he'd have to score a touchdown on pretty much every drive. Can't see them slowing down Washington in the slightest.

#1-norm-fan
12-29-2012, 06:20 PM
I like that Garrett has been putting the game in Romo's hands more over the past few weeks and not being so conservative. Unfortunately it's coinciding with the defense falling apart.

If 4 PM rolls around and the Giants and Lions have both won, then I'll really start to feel really optimistic about the Giants somehow playing January football.

The Vikings are good but with Green Bay actually having something to play for I don't see them winning. And while I don't think the Redskins are really good or anything, I'm just conditioned to think the Cowboys will cock up in a meaningful game. As much fun as it is to make fun of Romo though, a loss tomorrow will clearly be on the defense. So many injuries.

The biggest surprise is going to be the pats losing to the dolphins which as a ravens fan I don't want because it would equal rematch with Bengals in wild card game plus likely div round match up with Denver and not Houston. I can't see the pats and Houston losing to prevent that. The ravens road to the super bowl is pretty much confined to indy-houston-new England. If the seeds all stand as is and no upsets wild card, the pats are the only team that can beat the broncos in the afc.

Nfc wise, I think seeds stay the same and with the cowboys and bears winning I definitely see the Seahawks vs packers for the nfc championship. Packers beat bears and 49ers, Seahawks over cowboys and falcons.

If the Bears and Vikings lose, the Redskins are locked into a 6 seed at the worst and would know who their potential 3 seed opponent would be.

As I think about it...the Skins could conceivably decide that they match up better against the 3 seed team than the 5 seed (which will probably be the shit hot Seahawks). I know you want to be able to host a playoff game regardless of opponent...BUT it is possible they'd rest starters after a few series and just let Dallas take the division and play Seattle.

don't think the Redskins will let Dallas have the division on any terms. As much sense as that makes it also hurts the team financially. That home game will bring in a ton of revenue.

I can't see that happening if the situation comes up. It may make sense to us but I see no way a team rests their starters with the chance to win their division, knock out their rival and go from 6th seed to 3rd regardless of who they would play in the first round.

With the Redskins it's probably got more to do with the fact that they've been shit for so long. I can see why they'd want to give their fans a division title and a home playoff game for the first time since the 90's I believe. That being said I'd much rather play the Niners than the Seahawks at this point. Seattle seems to be the team that has "peaked".

Of the potential 3 seeds the Giants can play, the order of preference I'd have is: 49ers, Packers, Seahawks. Nothing against SF or GB, but at least the Giants have proven they can win there. If Seattle gets a playoff home game, look the fuck out.

If the football gods decide the Giants ain't making it this year, I hope their fate is sealed by 4 PM one way or another. Don't want Dallas to end up kicking the G-Men in the balls with a late field goal or something.

I'd give the MVP to AP mostly because his comeback being more impressive considering his position and the huge difference Minnesota is with him playing than last year.

Denver is roughly the same team they were last year with Tebow although now with more throwing since Manning is a better QB.

I remember when a RB running for 2,000 yards was cause to stop the game and have a big celebration.

Do people forget that Manning had neck surgery last year? Pretty sure 13-3 is a lot better than 8-8 was last year. They're the same team from last year except for Manning. Therefore, Manning is responsible for 5 more wins from last year.

Needs 91 yards to break the record with 11 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. The fact that that doesn't really seem like a whole lot says something.

Minnesota would probably be in the race for the #1 pick in the draft next year without Peterson.

They have to know the rule by now. It's still a new rule though that they aren't used to so in the heat of the moment it's probably tough to compose yourself and remember not to throw a challenge flag.
