Yeah even with the Pats he was almost automatic when it came to FGs inside the 45. ESPN recently tweeted that was just his second miss ever in the playoffs for the Colts.

Luck is not Peyton Manning in MVP form, bro..

Come on..

I know this is funny me saying it considering they lost a playoff game 15-6 not allowing a td to the colts, but I'm pretty sure its difficult to win a game in the NFL if you don't score a touchdown.

People are going to say flacco won't be up to it playing on the road in Denver. I'll point out he has 4 road wins in the playoffs and he outplayed tom Brady in new England last year..

Lol bullshit penalty

Was a blatant helmet to helmet hit in every replay they showed of it. I'd say have some class, but you posted this as the stadium fans were chanting 'bullshit' to that and their player getting caught taunting so I'm not really surprised.

Colts dropped too many passes today. Ravens D played good enough to make it count at the right times. The teams played almost identical games really, but Ravens just made it count more. I'm assuming Arians being gone was a pretty big deal. They've played with him most of the season and I'm sure he helped prepare a lot for this game. Not saying they lost because of it, but they definitely didn't play as tight as they could have. Lot of mistakes by a rookie team that I'm sure they'll correct in the off-season. Next season is going to be incredible. Predicting they win the division outright next season.

Broncos going to smash the Ravens next week though. Peyton Manning won't lose to this Ravens team. This game could have honestly gone either way at a couple key moments. I'm sure Droford will act like they dominated, but if you really watched, you could see Ray Rice's butthole pucker regularly.

Requiem
01-06-2013, 04:25 PM
At this point, Manning vs Brady is inevitable. No way the Pats lose to Houston. Texans finished the season pretty terribly.

I may have been wrong. Seattle going as the favorite? Things just got interesting

Droford
01-06-2013, 04:31 PM
Ravens need to get revenge on john elway for Baltimore for being a huge whiny bitch about playing baseball for the Yankees instead of playing for the colts forcing them to trade him which was a nail in the coffin of the colts in Baltimore..

Hate when teams have shitty fields. Remember there being talk about Steeler's field last year. Like I get that it's a part of "home field advantage" and playing on something you're used to, vs the other team having to play on a shitty field they're not used to.

But come on, have some pride in your house. Like the stupid Miami stadium that shares itself with a baseball field and has fucking dirt going across half of it. Pitiful.

Doubt the Redskins could do much to improve the field considering I think its a grass field and its outdoors in the middle of winter.

Until the Colts or some other team complained, Pats used to keep their field in an even worse shape since it gave them a huge advantage.

Shanahan is going to get ripped for keeping him in for most of the game especially once his limping got worse after the 1st.

He was playing good until he reaggravated it after the 1st and then just got worse until his knee finally gave out in the 4th.

Maybe they could have lessen the stress on RG3's knees if they had rushed more with Morris who was playing good or pulled him a bit earlier once he couldn't throw the ball effectively anymore.

"I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better," Ryan told ESPNDallas.com's Tim MacMahon. "I (expletive) made them a hell of a lot better. I'll be out of work for like five minutes."

Pretty stupid move by the Cowboys considering he's right on how big of an improvement he managed in 2 years. Went from 31st to 19th overall by this year and could have been higher if it wasn't for all those injuries his side of the line dealt with.

Saw this on the Baltimore sun yesterday:

It was an extremely turbulent week for the Ravens prior to being routed by the Denver Broncos in December.

Before a 34-17 loss to the AFC West champions, the Ravens fired longtime, oft-criticized offensive coordinator Cam Cameron one day after an overtime loss to the Washington Redskins and replaced him by elevating quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell.

As the Ravens (11-6) prepare for Saturday's AFC divisional-round playoff game against the Broncos (13-3) at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, free safety Ed Reed referenced the troubles surrounding the Ravens on Dec. 16 at M&T Bank Stadium.

"We had some internal stuff going on that definitely affected the way we played," Reed said following the Ravens' AFC wild-card playoff win over the Indianapolis Colts. "We were not a team that day at all."

That was apparent in terms of the Ravens' lackluster play.

Losing their third consecutive game, the Ravens trailed by 28 points heading into the fourth quarter. That followed quarterback Joe Flacco's pair of turnovers, including an interception returned the entire length of the field by cornerback Chris Harris, gave the Broncos 10 points.

The Ravens' offense was ineffective.

And the defense struggled as well with running back Knowshon Moreno running roughshod over Baltimore, hurdling a stationary Reed at one point as Manning exploited the secondary with his receivers' double-move patterns to strike deep with a touchdown pass to Eric Decker behind cornerback Cary Williams.

Will this game be different now that the Ravens get back several injured players who missed the first game against Denver? That includes offensive guard Marshal Yanda, linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Ray Lewis, tight end Ed Dickson and strong safety Bernard Pollard with all set to play Saturday.

"It’s going to be a hard-fought game," Reed said. "This is the playoffs. We know what we got, they know what we got. We’re going down there with all of our weapons and all of our tools. And we’re coming to bang.”

A lot of people predicting the game Saturday based on the outcome of the prior game are not taking into account all of the key players on both sides of the ball who didn't play that game.

SlickyTrickyDamon

In all honesty I like watching Baltimore, I love a good defense, and love Ray Lewis. I haven't expected it to be as lopsided as it was last time since I found out Denver would be playing Baltimore. Denver caught them mid-slump and with a lot of injuries I understood it then and I understand it now. Losing to them would suck, but it wouldn't hurt too badly despite Droford's best attempts at making it. It would probably drive me to drinking to lose to the Pats yet again though. So I fully expect that to happen.

Plus screech is my boy so I can't root against his team too much.

BALTIMORE—In preparation for the highly anticipated AFC playoff game with the Denver Broncos, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco announced Thursday that he is already working on an apology that will express heartfelt regret for the ignoble ending to retiring linebacker Ray Lewis’s career. “I’ve been plugging away on a couple of drafts this week, but I definitely want to focus on what a great teammate Ray has been and how bad I feel that he’s going out like this,” said Flacco, adding that Lewis “deserves better” than to force and recover a critical fourth-quarter Denver fumble only to watch helplessly from the sidelines as Flacco throws a pick-six interception on the following play, bringing the future Hall of Famer’s 17-year NFL career to a discouraging close. “Once I’ve got it all worked out, I’m thinking I’ll apologize before kickoff, because he definitely won’t want to hear from me after all those muffed snaps.” According to team sources, Flacco’s apology to Lewis is just one of many being contemplated by the quarterback, who is reportedly working on separate offerings of remorse to teammates, coaches, and Ravens ownership for Saturday’s loss, as well as to the city of Baltimore for the six-year contract extension he will receive this offseason.
