The Seahawks not playing for the division this week makes me happy. I think it's a winnable game for SF for sure, but Seattle has been getting scary lately.

Robert Griffin III has been fined $10,000 for his postgame attire following the Redskins' victory over the Ravens, an NFL official confirmed Wednesday.
Griffin often wears a suit and tie to news conferences after games. But the Redskins’ star suffered a knee injury in that contest and instead wore an Adidas sweatsuit and t-shirt as he fielded questions from the media at the podium. Adidas is among Griffin's growing list of endorsements.
The NFL’s official uniform supplier is Nike, an Adidas rival.
Earlier this season, Griffin covered the Nike swoosh on his compression shirt during warmups in New Orleans with marker. In St. Louis, Griffin wore a grey shirt inside out to obscure the Nike logo.
It's believed that he's worn a plain white compression during warmups since.

How long until NFL tries to dictate what sponsorship deals NFL players can make? After all, their endorsements could possibly reflect on the NFL.

Isn't that the case with every league though involving sponsors.
The league itself doesn't care what sponsorships a player has but won't allow those sponsors to be given free air-time if its conflicts with the league's own pool of sponsors. Addidas got free promotion while the NFL and not Griffen has to deal with an angry Nike.
Kris P Lettus
12-19-2012, 11:09 PM
UFC isn't like that.. Sure alot of their sponsors also sponsor fighters for a particular event but individual fighters can have independent sponsors on at any given time..
That being said Zuffa has banned certain sponsors but it's only like when Affliction started promoting their own fights..

Jets announce they are dumping Tebow once the season ends while looking to see if anyone if dumb enough to offer a trade for Sanchez.
McElroy has the starting job for the final 2 games but could still be benched for next season depending on what the Jets draft or fin in free agency for the QB spot. Sanchez won't be starting regardless if no trade gets done.

Supposedly the Chiefs told their GM and coach they won't be fired once the season ends only to have news of the real decision to fire them once the season ends get leaked to the press.
Pioli has been their GM since 2009 after arriving from the Pats while this would be the second time Crennel has been fired/demoted as team coach.

He's an average head coach. I heard Ben maller rail on him right before he was out in Tennessee. Basically In 16 full seasons as the titans coach he had them 7-9 or 8-8 in 7 of those seasons and worse than 7-9 in 3 more. Only 6 winning seasons with the titans, 3 of which resulted in 1 and out in the playoffs (overall 5-6 playoff record). Just average...and surprise he's got the rams right around .500.

I was this close to calling last night because he went on about how they should not franchise tag Flacco even though he has a .671 winning %with a 100/56 td/int split 60% comp and 84 passer rating...there's no one available thru fa that is even close to flacco who'd be the best free agent qb available and would get paid by some shitty team like Arizona or kc should the ravens not resign him

If the Cowboys win out, Garrett keeps his job and the biggest threat to take Payton away is eliminated.. But, that would mean the Cowboys would beat us today, which is a horrible thought..

If the Bengals win today they're in the playoffs, the Steelers are out of the playoffs, and everything bad said about Marvin Lewis will be pretty much erased.
So I fully expect them to come out flat and lose by 30. :'(

<font color=goldenrod>If the Skins and Cowboys both win their 1 PM games, the Giants are ostensibly eliminated from the NFC East race before they even play (only other way they could win would be to go 2-0 and then have Dallas and Washington play to a tie next week, but let's be real, that's not going to happen).
Can't really worry about the division though. Just gotta focus on winning. Everything I've seen last week leads me to believe that the Giants are done...yet I also felt that way when they were 7-7 last year.

As long as the seeding stays as it is now, which means the Texans beat the colts..the ravens should be able to beat the colts in the wc game and the patriots should beat the Bengals. Sets up broncos/patriots, tom Brady usually owns peyton manning and they were the last team to beat the broncos..and you can't tell me the Texans are the same team that pasted the Ravens earlier after they only scored 6 points vs the Vikings.

<font color=goldenrod>With the AFC...I see the Ravens/Colts first round game being pretty good and I think it's a toss up. But I see the winner of that getting knocked off in the 2nd round regardless. The Bengals are a good team, but I don't think they're quite there yet and I can't see them going into Houston, New England, or Denver and winning (sorry Supreme :( ). So that leaves the 3 top seeds. Gotta go with the Patriots. Regardless of seeding, it's hard to bet against Brady and Belichick in the postseason...unless Eli and Coughlin are on the other sideline. :shifty:
I think the NFC East winner will get bounced by the red hot Seahawks in the first round, and the 49ers will be able to get past the 6 seed. The Falcons are very difficult to beat in the Georgia Dome, so in spite of the "one and done" reputation they've had I could see Falcons/Seahawks going either way. But in either event, the Packers get past the 49ers in Lambeau and I think they match up better against both possible NFC Title game opponents.
