31-2 Chicago leads Tennessee early in the 2nd quarter. Owenbrown is surely very happy that his team is getting crushed.

Playing a Madden franchise where I'm trying to bring the Browns from worst team in the league to the Super Bowl. I played a game this morning at home against Baltimore where I lost 45-14. If this game ends with the same outcome, I have magic powers.

Be careful, Roxer will delete this post..

Not one to normally do this but the way the game is being refed the fix may be in. From the "Helmet to Helmet" hit that caused a rib injury to the first pass interference call to the Tuck Rule that I guess only counts when Brady does it. Redic. Can't even blame Giants for this. Doug Martin had the second most yards by a rookie running back ever between Adrian Peterson and DeMarco Murray. Then they decided to do some kind of weird play calling where he backed up after taking the handoff and he ran 3 times for -14 yards, dropping him back to 3rd.

The first pass was ridiculous. 6 yards isn't worth running off 4 of your 17 seconds. The second pass was a good idea. Then Atlanta figured it out and did that umbrella thing or else it would have been interesting.

Weeden was awful today. Missing wide open receivers and such. When you use a first round draft pick on a rookie who is already nearing 30 years old, you don't have a lot of time for him to develop. I can't see the guy being a long-term solution.

Boomer
11-04-2012, 11:55 PM
I basically watched Redzone today considering the Falcons were the late game, so I didn't really get to see a lot of Weeden. Richardson looks great, but I'm not sure that team has enough offensive weapons for teams to stop stacking the box. Josh Gordon seems like a decent deep threat, and I always liked Massaquoi at UGA.

Past that, my knowledge of the Browns is slim at best. Seems like they need to get Cribbs the ball more, but I think the same thing about Hester and the Bears haven't done much to do that either.

#1-norm-fan
11-04-2012, 11:57 PM
Seriously, if the Cowboys don't start playing with urgency from the start of the game and using the no huddle instead of the Jason Garrett mundane, predictable, sluggish offense next week, he needs to be fucking fired mid-game.

Fall down 23-0... Let Romo go no huddle, pace the offense and move it down the field and score 24 unanswered points to go up... revert back to your shit offensive playcalling... lose game.

This week, fall down by 2 scores late... Finally decide to let Romo go no huddle, pace the offense and move it down the field and score in about 2 minutes now that there's little enough time left on the clock that you may not get a second drive.

Fucking fuckers. Figure it the fuck out.

Josh Cribbs is a play maker too.

Yeah sorry I edited Cribbs into my previous post. But I haven't heard his name much in the past few years anyway.

#1-norm-fan

I think Cribbs has shown more of an ability to contribute on offense in the past though. Hester was always an underachiever on offense. It seems like Cribbs was always being talked about when the wildcat was a big thing and as it kinda dwindled off, so did his name being brought up a lot.

I have a general problem with lack of media coverage for a ton of teams in the NFL, but that is my Georgia bias showing. I have trouble finding decent media coverage for my own team. Falcons can keep winning, and most people won't care. The Falcons are basically relegated to being a lucky team playing an easy schedule until they win a playoff game, and I'm obviously not a huge fan of that. And when the Falcons lose (possibly as soon as next week), the media will abandon any love they have shown for the team just because they are the only undefeated team left.

I certainly think the Falcons are better equipped for the playoffs than they have ever been, but I can still see them lose just the same, so I guess its unnerving that they have to get over that hump to get any kind of decent media discussion about them.

And color me amazed that Matt Ryan has even been in MVP discussion. He's certainly deserving, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if someone has a decent second-half and eclipses him in the media entirely.

Really liking the Colts with Pagano and Luck.

Bruce Arians has been running the team great since Pagano's leave of absence too. Kinda feel like Chuck getting Leukemia has turned what might have been a mediocre season into a really emotionally charged attempt to 'win it for coach'. Like the players seem to really react to him and respect him already. Seems like a really inspiring guy.

They gave ray rice the ball 25 times, which historically = a win. The ravens basically only showed up on offense in the 1st and 4th qtrs

Question is right now... How much is Nick Foles going to play in the 2nd half?

I think Vick will start, but Foles will get the whole 4th quarter. It won't matter, because he'll suck to because this offensive line might be the worst offensive line that's ever been put on an NFL field.

If you fire him now, everything will go to complete shit and also add the fact he has been with you a long time and the tragedy earlier this year. Besides, what assistant would you give the interim tag to? If anything, I'd announce that he will not be retained but will finish out the season. The players will rally around him maybe as they know their ass is next on the chopping block.

Also, would Andy Reid fit in Cleveland? I am really intrigued by the Browns situation because it has all the elements to be a complete franchise turnaround in the coming years.
