http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/706659/Robert-Rodriguez-In-Talks-To-Direct-Deadpool.html
It appears that signs could be pointing to the one and only Robert Rodriguez to assume the director's chair and bring the solo debut of Marvel's infamous "Merc with a Mouth" to the big screen. According to The LA Times, the Predators and Machete director is currently in talks with Fox to helm Deadpool

Cool, I am a long time fan of Rodriguez.
One thing I don't get about this Deadpool film...
so they are making it and releasing it as an origins film? - I read its going to completly ignore 'Wolverine'.
So does that mean the scene at the end where he lives is for Wolverine II?
Either way, they really should think about this shit before.

I think even more people were cast for the X:Men - First Class movie. Let me find it...
Alright:
According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Rose Byrne is in talks to play Moira MacTaggert in the film. They describe the character as "a scientist and an authority on genetic mutation. She'll be the love interest of James McAvoy, who plays mutant telepath Charles Xavier." Meanwhile, Comingsoon.net has learned Jason Flemyng will also appear in the film. "That role will be Azazel, who was described as a "teleporter" during Flemyng's presentation for Jonathan English's Ironclad, but who is in fact none other than Nightcrawler's father!" they write.

Morgan Lily (2012) has joined the rapidly-growing cast of Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class as young Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence plays the older version in the film).

Singer spoke with AICN about the film, seeking to clarify what exactly is being done with everyone's favorite band of merry mutants. First off, the film is set in the 1960s. JFK is the president, the Civil Rights movement is in full swing, and "there is a spirit of a hopeful future that was prevalent in that time." Charles Xavier and the man who will become Magneto -- Erik Lehnsherr -- meet and dream of a future where man and mutant can live together in peace. And we all know how that works out…
Some bullet points follow on the ton of info that Singer has revealed:
--The two leads will be in their late twenties.
--Xavier will not be in his wheelchair, but we will learn how he gets there.
--He'll also still have hair.
--Xavier and Magneto will create the X-Men together.
--This is not based on the comic book called First Class but rather is "a new beginning" for the series.
--Director Matthew Vaughn is "technologically inspired" by the James Bond tech of the '60s.
--The costumes will be more "comic bookish" than in previous films. (This will be interesting)
--Neither Cyclops nor Marvel Girl will show up, but Cyke's brother Havoc will. (Awww)
--Kevin Bacon will play Sebastian Shaw and, yes, the Hellfire Club will figure into the mix. (Holy shit)
--Filming begins with Xavier at Oxford University.
--The movie will have a much more international feel than previous installments. (The shoot will take place in England and the U.S.) Other locations will include Russia (though they won't actually film there).
--There are other characters in the film who have not been revealed yet.
Filming begins this month.

The Deadpool movie seems alright, since it can sort of be it's own thing and function outside of the X-Men tent, at least for casual audiences.
But Wolverine is inseperable from X-Men. People are going to be wondering what the fuck connection there is between these new X-Men movies, the old ones, and the Wolverine movies.
Especially if they introduce Wolverine in the new films.

Thank god for Avengers. Finally saw the Thor trailer, and it was fucking amazing. Destroyer is perfect perfect PERFECT. Can really tell the people working on it are genuine fans.
Only nitpicky thing for me so far is that as good an actor as Anthony Hopkins is, I don't really know if he will work as Odin. In the comics, he has a presence that makes Dr. Doom seem like a fuzzy kitten. Hopkins doesn't seem intimidating enough, at least from a visual standpoint.

I'm gonna assume the movie precedes the first team, or rather there's some reveal that there was an 'experimental' first team that disbanded or met some terrible end that will 'define Xavier and Lenshur's relationship'.

X-Men First Class seems like such an unorganized cluster fuck of ideas.
I haven't liked the idea of that film since day 1. Casting choices aside, it sounds awful. Like it was pointed out, how do you make an X-Men movie now without Wolverine, Cyclops or Jean? the 3 characters that seem to be the ones people identify the most as being part of the X-men.
The structure of the film even reminds me of this gem..

It will be a new story that has many things from different arcs of the comics in it. There is no one Avengers story that you can just do the way that you can do the origin of Spider-Man. You really have to cull from the original and The Ultimates, which is one of The Avengers titles.

The upcoming reboot is reportedly considering Stephen Moyer, better known as Bill on True Blood, to play Doctor Doom, and in fact an offer is already out to him. This is the first time there's been any indications Doctor Doom would be the villain of the new Fantastic Four movie (other than common sense, I guess - the Fantastic Four isn't really known for its extensive rogues gallery), if there's any truth to these rumors. Which is, as always, a pretty gigantic "if."

Ryan Reynolds hopes to be the face of two competing superhero franchises with “Green Lantern” and “Deadpool” but, after reading the gleefully subversive script for the latter, he isn’t too concerned about moviegoers getting the characters confused.
“It goes in such a different direction than a superhero movie usually goes,” Reynolds said over lunch recently at 101 Coffee Shop. “It’s a nasty piece of work. It’s just based in so much emotional filth, completely. It’s like ‘Barfly‘ if it were a superhero movie. It sort of treads into the world of an emotionally damaged person. I always say that Deadpool is a guy in a highly militarized shame spiral…. It’s so different than the superhero movies to date, it departs so far from that.”
Deadpool in action (Marvel Comics)
In “Green Lantern,” due next summer, Reynolds plays Hal Jordan, the cocky but courageous test pilot who becomes the first human member of the Green Lantern Corps, an interstellar peacekeeping group armed with power rings capable of almost anything. “Deadpool,” meanwhile, with a script by the ”Zombieland” writing tandem Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, is far less ennobled and much more unsettling, judging by Reynolds’ description.
The Marvel character is a killer for hire with a wicked wit — he’s nicknamed “the merc with a mouth” — and healing ability that makes him almost impossible to kill. The antihero, manufactured by a sinister government program to be a murderous machine, is mentally unstable and morally slippery, which makes for an interesting challenge for the actor.
“With Deadpool, it’s a lot like going to prison for the first day,” Reynolds said. “You got to walk up and hit the biggest guy you see to establish a bit of cred. With Deadpool, early on you have to establish that moral flexibility. There’s a gamble to it — you’re going to lose a few people right at the beginning but you take the gamble and know that eventually you’re going to win them back. You won’t lose the hard-core fans of the character, they already know who he is. We have to play to a broader audience than that. As an actor you have to be willing to do something like … back in Vancouver we used to call it a [nasty] burger. ’You gotta eat the [nasty] burger to get to the cookies.’ And yes, I want to write a cookbook about that…”
Last year, Reynolds portrayed Deadpool in the Twentieth Century Fox film ”X-Men Origins: Wolverine“ and Fox has circled 2012 for the release of the character’s first solo film. The project is still taking shape and Robert Rodriguez has been in talks to direct but the deal has yet to be inked and the filmmaker’s schedule is a dense thicket with a number of projects already in place. Rodriguez has praised the “Deadpool” screenplay but only time will tell if he will be the one to direct it.
The new film won’t be beholden to the events depicted in ”Wolverine” in any way, Reynolds said, and, yes, fans can expect the character to break the fourth wall and address the audience at times like some sort of deranged Ferris Bueller armed with katana swords. That habit of talking straight to the audience was a hallmark of Deadpool in the comics, although after delving into the comics-rack history of the character Reynolds found that very few things have remained constant in the chronology of a character created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza but taken in many different directions by other creators.
“The comics are very inconsistent in the writing,” Reynolds said. “All the different writers, different voices, but at the core of the character his heart is really interesting. He’s the funniest guy you’ll ever meet, too, and for me that’s exciting but it’s not as hard as capturing that moral flexibility, which is so important. Joss Whedon Speaks:
Sue: So – in terms of coming up to the Avengers though – because – that’s not your script originally is it?
Joss: It is now. Yeah. There was a script, but I had a different take on it. And when they showed it to me I said “But this doesn’t work for me, I would do something different.” And they said, “Well tell us what you would do,” and now I’m doing it.
Sue: And they’re trust you to do that?
Joss: They do! They do, Marvel – they’re very trusting at Marvel. It’s kind of like, in the early days of the WB, when you know, I came back to my agent and said, it was really different, really interesting, they respected what I was talking about, they listened to me and they really let me have my own way – and yeah, they have no idea what I’m doing! Marvel they do actually know, they know exactly what they want to do, but they don’t mind a film maker making his film in the service of what it is they want to do, they’re not trying to press me into something that isn’t me, which is really gratifying.
Sue: [mentions again they'll be opening the floor for questions soon and in the process forgets her own question] Along the lines of, this is a great moment – finally you get to join up your comic book love and the possibility of making a film – don’t you think it’d be a great TV Series though.? – never mind! But, you get to make the film, so. Clearly that’s joining the dots in a particular kind of way.
Joss: Oh yes. Oh yes. I was reading the Avengers when I was eleven, this is…it’s a big deal for me. I’ve wanted to make a comic book movie, and I was like, “nobody can make a comic book movie”, and then Spiderman came out and I was like “…ok, he can make a comic book movie!”. And you know, there’s been a couple of hits. But most of them I think haven’t – and I also feel that we sort of, we went from the really terrible Hollywood executive’s idea of what a comic book movie should be, to a very short moment when we sort of started getting it right, and then went directly to post-modern. Directly to Watchmen, Kick Ass, Dark Knight, where we’re sort of, we’re taking the comic book movie for granted, now we want to see what’s behind it. I’m like “Whoa-whoa-whoa! Wait a minute!”. First I want to see an awesome movie about superheros that are awesome, that I really care about the whole time, I haven’t seen enough of those. I don’t want to deconstruct it yet! First I want to construct it. So I do feel like there’s still a place for me out there. Even though you know, the genre which I had been desperate to see my whole childhood, and then my adulthood saw it happen while I was busy making TV Shows so I was like, “no I’m not…just wait! Just wait! I’ll be there in a minute!”. And then began to fear, is it over? But ultimately I think it’s very much not.

Columbia Pictures has announced that Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, the sequel to the 2007 Ghost Rider movie, will be shot in 3-D and will debut on February 17th, 2012. Nicholas Cage will reprise his role as Johnny Blaze in the sequel, which is being helmed by Crank directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, who also share the dubious distinction of having written the script for the Jonah Hex movie.
Under Marvel’s “use it or lose it” policy Sony/Columbia was under considerable pressure to make a second Ghost Rider movie or lose the movie license to the property (see “Ghost Rider 2 Is No Reboot”).

I just read on Wikipedia that it was originally planned to be half WW2/half modern day, but it seems that with The Avengers on the horizon they've decided to make the whole thing WW2.
Makes sense, since they can cover the modern stuff only a year later in Avengers. Though I'm sure they'll be some kind of scene(s) that set that all up at the end.
Jeritron

Pretty stoked that it's primarily WWII really. I hope this is as much like Raiders of the Lost Ark as Joe Johnston claims.
I really think that's the perfect influence for a Cap movie. Especially one set in WW2
I also hope it's minimal on the CGI. Not a huge fan of overuse of the tool, but it will come off as especially inauthentic in a period film. There'll be plenty of that in Avengers so it would be a nice break. Doubtful though.
I bet you at the end of the movie they flash forward to the present and show Captain America doing something heroic with his new modern suit on and Fury comes and asks him to lead the Avengers.

As predicted by many (including ICv2 see “Emma Stone Up for Spidey Role”), the talented young actress Emma Stone has landed the plum female role in the new Spider-Man movie. What is somewhat unexpected is the fact that she will be playing Mary Jane Watson, since Sony layed down a smokescreen around the character by denying that MJ would be in the new film.
Sony tends to reward actors who do well for the studio, and Stone has turned in excellent performances in the successful horror comedy Zombieland and Easy A, the teen comedy that is currently in theaters.
According to Deadline, with Stone getting the MJ role, there are four actresses in contention for the Gwen Stacy part including Glee’s Diana Agron, Mia Wasikowska, Georgina Haig, and Dominique McElligott.

Nice choice for Mary Jane, though if they're going off of Ultimate Spider-Man, it doesn't exactly match the nerdy MJ from the comic. Hopefully this means she'll be more like the regular Marvel version.

Well, they did say that the reboot was based off of the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, and in those Mary Jane and Gwen pretty much just had their personalities swapped around, so MJ is the innocent girl-next-door type, and Gwen is the smartass sassy type prone to skanky outfits and juvenile delinquency. So if they are indeed taking the USM route, I guess Emma Stone works for Gwen now instead of MJ.

I wish they'd explore the 80's era of more adult Spiderman comics, where Peter Parker is out of college, married to MJ, and we see villains like Kingpin and all his goons. Then maybe down the road you could see the symbiotes done properly.
I'd rather have seen them go there, rather than back to the beginning. They wouldn't have to be sequels to the first 3 at all. But they could sort of just dig into a whole new style and cast without re-doing high school/college and the origins. Sort of like what Batman Forever went for, but better.

Really cool to see Bucky, Dum Dum, Wolverine and 'James' (he became the Nomad right?).
Nice ending as well, assuming that is the end for now. It was revealed in a comic somewhere that Cap first encountered Thor back in WW2 when Thor captured an Asgardian Wolf thingy that had escaped and was slaughtering soldiers.

I agree with the movie having no connection to Wolverine, but since they're using the same actor to play the role it will be strange to hear him reference it.
I know Deadpool breaks the 4th wall, but he still exists in the X-Men universe. And reboots don't usually refer to what they're rebooting.
Kind of hard to tell what they mean by referencing it without coming out and saying it. I'd guess I'd have to see what he says to understand.
Jeritron
10-14-2010, 03:19 AM

Then again, if they're using Colossus it's probably just a total reboot with no ties to the X-Men movies other than Reynolds.
That's great since Colossus was a total waste in part 3. His cameo in 2 was great but like everything else, the ball was dropped when Singer left.
So it's probably nothing to do with any of the X-Men movies altogether. Since they don't actually mention the Wolverine movie directly, it will probably be some subtle jab that makes sense within the movie, but also has a double meaning to the fans watching who get it.
Kalyx triaD
10-14-2010, 03:26 AM
I'm not so sure this Deadpool exists in the Singer-verse (which is pretty much at an end anyway). Even Wolverine 2 sounds like a reboot.
The X-Men universe is literally doing the opposite of the Avengers universe, branching off into separate entities. Strange.
Jeritron
10-14-2010, 03:31 AM
Yea but they're using the same actors and loosely trying to fit into the continuity, while rebooting. That leads to confusion.
With Deadpool it can work since he breaks the 4th wall and can make a subtle reference to it, and the movie can just be it's own thing outside of that.
Although it's strange to think he will exist in a universe where Wolverine is a movie to him as well. That's why I'm thinking there has to be more to that reference than the article reveals. It can't really say that.
Wolverine 2 can't be a reboot at all. Not as long as Hugh Jackman is playing the role.
They can completely ignore the first Wolverine though, which I hope they do. Since he has amnesia he can just be onto his next adventure with no memories or references to the previous film, at all. But it won't go back on anything from that film I don't think. Not with the same actor in the role.
Jeritron
10-14-2010, 03:35 AM
Also, haven't they confirmed that X-Men First Class is trying to serve as a prequel to the X-Men movies?
There are hardly any X-Men in it because they are letting the continuity limit them.
They want to reboot, but they're still fucking around with the movies also being sequels.
Kalyx triaD
10-14-2010, 03:43 AM
Emma Frost is in First Class, a direct contradiction to Wolverine 1 (which is of the Singer-verse). First Class is very much a reboot. And having Hugh Jackman won't stop a reboot any more than Ryan stops Deadpool from being reboot. They're pretty much writing new rules here.
Jeritron
10-14-2010, 03:51 AM
But they have also said it is a prequel. The director says it's a prequel. Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey and other major characters have been specifically left out because they are adhering to loose rules.
If they were starting from scratch, don't you'd think they'd want some of the major X-Men to be in their X-Men movie?
Why would they even go back to First Class instead of just starting over with all the components like Spiderman and Batman have?
Contradictions are a result of them trying to keep it a franchise while going in new directions. It's a mess, not a reboot.

When the people making it do. When they completely ignore any previous films and include the characters from a clean slate.
Cleverly leaving characters out of it and trying to fit it into the timeline of the existing films isn't a reboot. It may be trying to reboot things in a way, but it really isn't. The director says so. They're trying to have their cake and eat it too.
They are making creative choices based on elements from the other movies.
If we saw a whole new X-Men universe with all new introductions for Cyclops, Jean, Wolverine, etc. etc. etc. then it would be a reboot.
I'll take the director and character listing's word on this being a prequel.
Jeritron
10-14-2010, 04:03 AM
And actions speak louder than words. I know what a reboot is, and unless there's some Star Trek genius explanation in the story, everything about this production says reboot.

Jeritron
10-14-2010, 04:09 AM
I'm not sure where you're coming from though, just looking at the information about the movie.
You think they're rebooting this like Batman Begins or the upcoming Spider-Man, but they have just decided to include characters like Banshee, Havok and Azazel, and coincidentally leave out all of the major recognizable mutants from the first films like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler? All of them. None of them are in it, but some of their fathers are, but it's a reboot?
Jeritron
10-14-2010, 04:13 AM
We won't really know until First Class 2 or 3, where they have no choice but to tread on Singer-verse ground, and then see if it's in continuity or not.
That doesn't change the fact that this isn't a reboot. If they retroactively decide to say fuck the originals, and build off of this and re-introduce all of the other characters, that doesn't mean it's a reboot.
It just means they decided to do so at a later date. This movie is clearly being made to be in continuity, besides the director coming out and saying as much.
Plus they are setting it in a timeframe that allows it to be so. If they were trying to start X-Men anew they would probably not be going for the late 1960s. They would set it in present for a number of reasons.
Kalyx triaD
10-14-2010, 04:16 AM
They showed interest in going back into Prof X and especially Magneto's past for a while, in continuity or not.
I'm simply not convinced at this prequel angle.
Jeritron
10-14-2010, 04:20 AM
Why aren't you convinced? The director says it's a prequel, and it's clearly fucking obvious that they are setting it the past and leaving out characters who are not of age or were introduced differently in the orignal films.
The only example you have given is Emma Frost from Wolverine (which has likely just been ignored) and your own notion that it's a reboot, and that's that.
Everyone making it, and everything about the film that is known has pointed to it being a prequel plain and simple.
That's like saying Star Wars Episode 1 is a reboot, because I say so, and you can't prove me wrong until they don't introduce Han Solo and Luke Skywalker differently.
You're asking me to disregard everything the director, filmmakers, and common sense is saying about the movie, and prove a negative (it's a reboot until Wolverine doesn't show up in any hypothetical sequels), based on your claim which is supported by 0 evidence.
Jeritron
10-14-2010, 04:23 AM
So if they make 4 of these, and Wolverine and Rogue are still never introduced, you can say it's still a reboot because it might happen in the next one? Just ignoring all of the evidence to the contrary.
Don't you see how that is an ass backwards argument that has no end to it?
Also, just looking at it as a property, if this was a reboot the studio and filmakers would be chomping at the bit to get all of the recognizable characters in there. You think they just don't like money and popular characters, and just want to use Banshee and Havok instead of Wolverine and Rogue etc. for the fuck of it?
Jeritron
10-14-2010, 04:30 AM
They showed interest in going back into Prof X and especially Magneto's past for a while, in continuity or not.
I'm simply not convinced at this prequel angle.
Yes and their interest in doing so was in the form of prequels set in the 1960s, just like this has shaped into being.
The reason they have show such interest in going into the past of the franchise is because they want to continue it, but X3 fucked it up so much they can only go backwards.
It will be a reboot when they decide to reboot. Not when you decide it is. I'm sorry Jean Kalyx but I feel like you are completely ignoring multiple facts here just to preserve some notion that you had of it being a reboot.

Jeritron
10-14-2010, 07:19 AM
True, but at least the last Spiderman Raimi did was disappointing. Not that it was really his fault either, but the fact that it was flawed makes it a little bit easier to accept that they're starting over clean.
I still think they should have let him do Spidey 4. Him and his take deserved another try. I'm sure it would have taken things back to basics.
I'm actually warming up to the new Spidey based on some of the casting. I still think it's too soon but that isn't going to make me root against it. I hope it's great. Though I do wish they'd explore some new territory. Going back to the origin story seems a bit pointless now. They can start fresh without doing that again.
In the case of X-Men, Singer never failed. A damn shame he didn't continue. They should have at least been more conservative in their treatment of the story and characters so there was a possible future of him returning, or any future for that matter.
Oh well on both accounts, I guess.

Jeritron
10-15-2010, 03:39 AM
I'm glad they're finally going to do Lizard. Since it's going to start with Spidey's days as a student I think it's a fine choice.
It's a shame though because they had built Curt Connors up so well in the Spider-Man films. It would have been great when Raimi did it in part 4.
I'd still like to see them go a different route with villains in this series though. Does Sony have the rights to Kingpin, or does Fox have him locked up with Daredevil?
I'd love to see Kingpin established as a major crime lord/villain in Spider-Man. That would be a great way to use some of Spider-Mans villains that wouldn't really be able to carry an entire film alone. Tombstone, Smythe, Shocker and Rhino, maybe even Scorpion or Hobgoblin.
It would also be a different approach to the villains, to have him fighting a crime lord and corrupt businessman. They could also build up Oscorp and the Norman Osborn arch a bit more this time around, and even play Jameson as more of an asshole than comic relief.
That would really set the tone for the whole scope of Spidey's New York and the odds he's up against with corporations, the mafia, and the media all against him, while he still has to balance girlfriends and homework.
I think it would be a lot more complex and wide-scale than him fighting individual villains who wreak havoc after failed experiments. That's great in it's own right, but Raimi did it so well and it would be nice to see them captialize on a chance to do something different.

Marvel, ABC prep TV return for "Incredible Hulk"
By Borys Kit and James Hibberd Thu Oct 14, 8:12 PM PDT
Who's ready for another Hulk TV series?
As DC Comics heroine Wonder Woman, who had a TV series during the 1970s, is being prepped for a return to the small screen, Marvel and ABC are developing a TV return for the Incredible Hulk. CBS produced a memorable series featuring the jade giant that ran from 1978-82 and starred Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno.
At the end of the decade, ABC followed up with three TV movies that featured incarnations of Marvel heroes Daredevil and Thor.
"Hulk" is one of two projects that are priorities at Marvel Television, Marvel Studio's TV division, which has been operating under the radar since Jeph Loeb took the reins at the end of June. The second hot property is "Cloak and Dagger," which is being developed as a possible show for ABC Family.
Both are in the early stages of development; "Hulk" has a "showrunner wanted" placard around its neck; meanwhile, Loeb is meeting with writers to hear ideas for "Cloak and Dagger."
Marvel began narrowing its list of possible TV adaptations in May with a presentation on the Disney lot. Executives presented ABC suits with a list of titles they identified as possible series:
"Heroes for Hire" (focusing on ex-con Luke Cage offering to take on bad guys for a price);
"The Eternals" (a race of superpowered beings live amid humanity in secret, inspiring legends);
"Agents of Atlas, Alter Ego" (private investigator Jessica Jones takes on cases involving superhumans);
"Moon Knight, the Red Hood" (a low-rent criminal discovers a cloak that gives him superpowers);
"Ka-Zar" (a Tarzan-type and his saber-toothed tiger must journey to the concrete jungle to seek justice);
"Daughters of the Dragon" (a dynamic female duo, one with a bionic arm and the other a granddaughter of a samurai, open a private-detective agency); and
"The Punisher" (one man wages a war on crime; already adapted as two feature films).
"Cloak and Dagger" wasn't on the list. "Hulk" was.
Although the focus appears to be on "Hulk" and "Cloak and Dagger," "Punisher" also has been selected from the herd and is eyed as a cable entry, but that is even further away. Marvel's TV division wants to take things slow, according to insiders, focusing on one or two shows, making sure they are the best they can be and establishing a quality brand before moving forward.
Marvel is in the middle of establishing a shared universe among its movies (the plots and characters form one big story), but it's unknown whether the studio will undertake a similar path with TV. Also unknown is whether there would be a connection between the film world and TV world.
Jeritron
10-16-2010, 03:02 AM
Punisher should be on premium cable so they don't have to hold back, but they can probably do it justice on basic cable as long as the channel gives them some slack.
Incredible Hulk as a television series similar to the original would be "incredible." I wonder if they'd use CGI or an actor again. Hopefully it wouldn't be horrible looking TV quality CGI.
Too bad Mark Ruffalo is way too big of a star to carry over into the television series

Every now and then I will watch The Iron man cartoon from 95 or 96. Let me tell you something that show is bad. I know 95 is kind of a long time ago, but the show looks like it was made in 1985. The animation, the dialogue, and the acting is terrible. Same with Fantastic Four, and Silver Surfer. The Incredible Hulk at best might be ok... At best. Also The Spider-Man cartoon was terrible so don't say that was good.
Outside of the X-Men cartoon how come Marvel cartoons were so bad? I feel like they should have been better. They should have had a better decade.

The Spider-Man cartoon was good.

If you're wondering why they were bad it's probably because they were saturday morning cartoons for kids and the storyelling was simplified and in many cases toned down to have less violence.
I don't reccomend holding kids cartoons up to the standard of adult storytelling. You're going to be disappointed. There are few exceptions.
Also, if you think Spider-Man is awful how do you think X-Men is good? The dialogue and content is the same shit, and the animation is worse.
