I was thinking Chris Simms may be the worst qb in the league, but then I saw Marc Bulger throw a 3 yard screen pass with 11 seconds left in the middle of the field an no timeouts and a chance to beat an undefeated team.

FearedSanctity
11-15-2009, 04:28 PM
Nope, Simms is still worse. 3 of 11 for 6 yards and an INT in an incredibly QB friendly offense is ridiculous. Atleast Bulger was hitting recievers who we're covered, Simms wasn't hitting ones who where wide open.

But yeah I called this being the one game Washington would play to their potential.

Packers - Cowboys is atrocious

Bengals played well earlier. Offence didn't really do a whole lot, although they did run it quite well considering it was Pittsburgh. Defence was terrific though, and obviously the kick return was key. Might even be looking at the #2 seed at this point.

lol Refs are really blowing it in this game w/ the challenges. First they let Dallas challenge a play that wasn't allowed to be challenged and then started to review a play after a challenge by Green Bay before they realized Green Bay was out of them.

Andy Reid there is nothing wrong with running the ball 4 straight times on the other teams 1 yard line.

And when the defense has to make a stop they fail to yet again. At least the NFC East is terrible so still very much in reach.

DaveBrawl

I'd need proof of that.

Unfortunately it was on a phone call to my brother. I've seen enough of the Broncos to know it generally always happens to them when a team has been struggling for a while they get it together when Denver comes calling, and I've seen enough of Washington to know they just needed one little spark to play at a pretty decent level and last week in the second half they finally seemed to figure out what they were doing and today it all just seemed to click in the second half.

Of course saying that they will probably get full of themselves this week and Dallas will ravage them.

Wow, pretty pumped for the Colts/Patriots game tonight. Not a "fan" or "hater" of either team, so I just hope it's a good game. Really feel like there is an equal amount of pressure on both teams. New England needs to show that it's still an AFC elite team, and Indy needs another win in the rivalry, as New England has consistently been the better team throughout their rivalry.

I'll give you that one. Rams didn't look bad today at all. A lot better than most of the upper tier teams have fared against NO. And for some reason, I feel like the Rams don't suck this year, more like just an unfortunate circumstance or something.

But to quote my friend Krispy...who dat?!

11-15-2009, 08:25 PM
Fucking Jets. That's most definitely the season now. A win today and a Patriots loss tonight would have set up a great show down next week. Hopefully next season now that Sanchez will have his first season under his belt, and a fresh start with the new stadium, we can get something going.

Bah. The Broncos are horrid. Once Orton got hurt and they had to go to Chris Simms, it was just a matter of time before they'd lose again. Denver will essentially lose the Division next week vs San Diego, theres no way they can beat SD with Chris Simms.
It will also pretty much kill their playoff hopes because they lost to the Ravens/Steelers, two of the 4 AFC Teams in the hunt for the Wild Card (along with Houston and Jacksonville)

Also, that was quite possibly the worst call in the history of the NFL to go for it on 4th down at the Pats own 30...insane.

Pretty crazy they went for it. They definitely had the first down though, some BS with that "juggling" call. He did juggle it at first but still had control past the 1st down marker.

Can't say I blame them for going for it, the defense just let the Colts walk into the endzone the series before in less than a minute.

That Colts/Pats game was nuts. Wow.

Along with Being a Steelers fan, I tend to be a realist and not crazy like some others would be. The Bengals Defense, the Def Line in Particular, Outplayed the Steelers Offense today. Plain and Simple. It was a tight game could go any way but had a feeling once Troy got reinjured would be tough sledding. Whatever needs to be done about Special Teams needs to be done. Last three weeks a return? Are you kidding me? Jesus.

Putting the game on the line with one play in that situation is just crazy to me. No way you would ever convince me to go for it on my own 30. Punt the ball, and make them drive it. I don't care if its Manning...you are still the fucking Patriots.

Jesus Shuttlesworth
11-16-2009, 02:03 AM
A lot of people are saying that now, which is understandable, but if they get that yard he's a genius. I was pretty shocked when they went for it, I think they got it but I'm biased.

Only thing I don't get is if they weren't gonna punt on 4th why not try to run for the first on 3rd down? Almost threw a pick 6 on that third down too.

Manning is officially in Bellicheks head. No doubt what so ever. He was scared to give Manning the ball with 2 minutes to go. He had no faith in his defense, which is odd, because they played really good.

As much as i hate to say it the Pats are better then the Colts right now. But great teams make there own luck and you can never count Indy out with Peyton Manning. I just read an article saying that the Colts dont deserve to be undefeated with the Saints. Thats bullshit. I think we would beat the Saints first of all. And second, we've won 18 straight games. Let someone beat us before you start writing horseshit articles like that VIC CARUCCI! We've beaten Arizona, Miami, Jags, Titans, Houston and New England. These are good teams. A few average ones in there maybe, but those are some really solid average teams. I think the Jags are alot better then people think. Arizona might make it back to the Superbowl, no one is paying attention to them.

Arizona might make it back to the Superbowl, no one is paying attention to them.

I can see this happening too. They should end up winning the division and then going on the road the rest of the way like they did last year. They have been inconsistent this season but has anyone else noticed that when they go on the road, they look like arguably the best team in the league? If it wasn't for their mysterious shittiness at home, they would be right in the talk with the top tier teams.

They opened up the season at home losing to the 49ers. Then they CRUSHED the Jaguars in Jacksonville (Wasn't even as close as the 31-17 score indicated). Got crushed at home by Indy. Had to come back to win a close game at home to Houston. CRUSHED Seattle in Seattle 27-3. Had that huge upset @ the Giants. Got destroyed at home by a 1 win (at the time) Carolina team. Destroyed the Bears on the road. Struggled in the home game against Seattle early on before coming back to win it.

It's really crazy. If you only look at their home games, they aren't even a playoff contender. If you only look at their road games, they are arguably the best team in the league.

Jim Kelly went on the radio today and confirmed that he spoke to Ralph and he is willing to pay wheatever it takes to finally get an experience football guy to run the team operations. Shanahan would get GM duties as well as being the coach.

They are interested in Cowher but I think they know they arent landing him.

Apparently they are also interested in Kevin Gilbride (our old OC and not the man in MY), Jim Haslet of the UFL and the Montreal CFL coach.....Weird pool of candidates.

The Falcons have had a really tough road schedule this year. They are not a playoff caliber team, but they've hung in every game they've played.

Tough schedule overall. Also tough that we've faced 4 teams coming of their bye. Rough year thus far, but we can still very well finish strong an go 10-6.

The secondary is just a joke, and I really can't take see Chris Houston starting anymore. He gets beat on every single slant route, he refuses to turn his head. He is at best a nickel corner.

Positives from today's game. Ryan had his best game in about a month, he hit a huge slide the past 4 games, but he looked strong today. Also nice to see a game without him throwing a pick.

Also Jason Snelling filling in very well in the absence of Turner and Norwood. Tough lose to swallow, especially when we didn't even get a chance with the ball in OT. Time to head back home and get ready for TB.

I'm fine with it. I mean, ideally I'd obviously want a blowout every week or something but considering the injuries from last week and the fact that I think Washington turned a corner last week to where they might be a solid team from here on out and it's one of those division games that are usually close I'm not too upset.
