Apparently he and Sean Peyton were trading off amazing pre-game blowjobs and now without the ability to have contact with him he's become depressed and unable to remember which team to throw the ball to.

At least that's my guess.

The Cowboys play way better on the road than they do in Dallas. The Cowboy's defense is too complex for Dalton. While BJGE got off today, I have ZERO fucking faith in him or the running game to take the pressure off of Dalton as he struggles with the Cowboy's D.

At what point does it stop being " magic " ? I cant answer that right now. Every stat i look at tells me the Colts should be 4-9, not 9-4. Luck is a straight up Gunslinger with the clutch gene right now. He has no memory of bad throws. He doesnt seem to feel the hellacious hits he's taken. He gets up and slings it and when it's money time, he's money.

When you consider Luck for any awards, you really need to have watched every game. The things he does, dont show up in that stat book. Our offensive line is horrible. Castonzo is going to be great, Justice is ok, but the rest of them are banged up week after week. Luck's pocket awareness is unbelievable on a Adrian Peterson Is About To Run For 2,000 Yards, Less Than A Year After Wrecking His Knee, scale. He's been sacked 32 times. It should be more like 64. 4 or 5, or so against Allen and the Vikings. RG3 is dangerous when he gets loose in the pocket because he's a threat to run it for a huge chunk. Luck is dangerous because he might run for 12-15 and get out of bounds, or he's more likely to uncork a 40 yard laser, on the run, exactly two step's worth of length from being out of bounds or a TD.

He carried 15 times for 41 yards in last years loss to the Giants. While I don't believe he is the WHOLE reason Atlanta is shit in the playoffs, I do believe his lack of production made the offense one diminisional in that game and makes them one diminsional now. I believe if he continues to underproduce that he'll assist in putting the Falcons out early yet again this season. The Falcons also obviously have issues on the defensive side of the ball, but my issue has been the desire to continue using Turner when he has shown obvious decline during the season.

Did you not read the article? He said there was not enough evidence to justify PLAYER suspensions because of contamination from the Saints organization. I don't keep up with Falcons stats but I'm pretty sure if Turner gets over 30 carries a game he'll put up more than 100 yards and prolly a TD.. Sounds more like a OC problem than a RB problem..

No I didn't read the article, I just posted the first one that popped up, BUT, I have been listening to all the local coverage on the radio for the past few hours.. The whole reason it got overturned was because of lack of evidence.. Payton never appealed and had less ground to stand on when this first started cause coaches don't have a union.. Yep. Given the injuries, his situation would be better in NY for the stretch run (only used in short yardage situations). He'd probably still bitch but he'd at least get more use than he got in San Francisco. I'd mark out to see him have one of those runs where he bulldozes through like 4 defenders again.

His career's good as over though. He'll be 31 next season and I can't see any team other than the Giants even considering bringing him in. They'll presumably still have Bradshaw, Wilson, Brown, and Da'Rel Scott or whoever else they may bring in through the draft or whatever.

NFL is considering expanding to 14 or 16 playoff teams. God I hope not...the playoff structure is perfect as it is now. I'm also trying to logistically figure out how it would work. The intent would be to add an extra week of football, so you'd get something like this for both structures:

Wild Card Round
All division winners get a bye
Wild Card 4 @ Wild Card 1
Wild Card 2 @ Wild Card 3

and then after that, the 3rd and 4th seeds enter the fold and the playoffs resume as they are now. But that means the 1st and 2nd seed gets TWO weeks off...which I think would actually be a hindrance to them.

16 teams would work easily although the bye system just adds an extra week to the top seeds since its messing up a perfect bracket.

14 teams is going to be a real mess unless they tweak the divisions or bye system. Giving all division winners a bye won't work.

Seems like they saw what MLB did and thought an extra team or two would make things more interesting. Biggest difference was MLB just added an extra day and was 1 round shorter than everyone else before the change.

Baseball's one was kind of mess this year though. They had the wild-card play in game winner get the first two home games in the best of five. I think that was only for this year's one though. They needed it that way to work in the schedules to get the World Series to start on the day it was supposed to.

What I didn't get is that they also did the weird 2-3 thing for the series that didn't involve the wild-card team.

It's gonna get interesting after this season cause season ticket holding fans, who spent tens of thousands of dollars this season are gonna sue the NFL because of the impact suspending Payton cause our team.. As I said when the player suspensions were lifted a few days ago, Gooddell still hasn't provided proof of any of this..

It's gonna set a new precedent where fans are concerned.. That they in essences are share holders and are effected when the league upholds penalties, they need proof, much like a real court..

This is all coming from local talk radio, but the law suit will happen.. We'll see how this plays out..

Then there s this:

Drew Brees says Roger Goodell has 'little to no credibility' with NFL players
By NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune
on December 12, 2012 at 2:32 PM, updated December 12, 2012 at 3:16 PM

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on Wednesday strongly criticized the way NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell handled the investigation into the bounty case, saying the league was all about an outcome and not a fair process.

Brees said he wants the league to be held accountable and that Goodell has has "little to no credibility" with NFL players right now.

Brees said he hates to sound like "conspiracy theorist" but said since former Commissioner Paul Tagliabue has been involved the process has been very "staged," like, 'how do we get out of this mess?'"

Tagliabue on Tuesday issued a 22-page report which wiped out of all the sanctions against Jonathan Vilma, Will Smith, Scott Fujita and Anthony Hargrove and placed most of the blame on the Saints' organization. Tagliabue's ruling had no impact on the season-long suspension Coach Sean Payton is serving. General Manager Mickey Loomis (eight games) and interim coach Joe Vitt already (six games) served their suspensions. The team was fined and had to forfeit two second-round draft picks.

Brees said he thinks punishments against coaches, organization were still too much.

Brees referred to the league's primary two witnesses, former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams and defensive assistant Mike Cerullo as "two guys who were fired from here because they didn't fit the mold" and he questioned where the two are "mentally" at this point.

Brees said he doesn't feel it's just to base entire case on the two assistants' claims.

When asked if he thought the season was stolen, Brees said: "Many might say that, but I'm not one to make excuses."

Still trying to figure out ways they'd make a 16 team playoff work. I can't even begin to figure out 14 teams. If they wanted to NOT extend the season an extra week/force teams to play a 5th round of the playoffs, they could do something like this for each conference:

Wild Card Weekend
8 @ 1
7 @ 2
6 @ 3
5 @ 4

Divisional Round (assume all higher seeds win for simplicity)
4 @ 1
3 @ 2

Conference Title Game
2 @ 1

---

But even then...what benefit do the 1 and 2 seeds really get? Yeah they get a home game against what SHOULD be a cupcake opponent. But it's the NFL, upsets happen. It's probably a better option than letting the 1 and 2 seeds get a full 2 weeks off, but it still sucks.

Then with that plan you'd also have to factor in TV scheduling. The NFL wouldn't want any playoff games to overlap. But how the fuck do you fit 8 games in a single weekend? They could easily do a game at 1, 4:25, and 8:30 on Saturday and Sunday between the 3 major networks...but that still leaves 2 other games. When would those be played? Friday night? Monday night? Both? Then the second round of the playoffs could potentially have one team having 2-3 more days of rest than their opponent.

Shitty part is, the networks would happily sign up for any scenario that allows them to air more football. Even though any potential expansion idea would be a clusterfuck.

Evil Vito
12-13-2012, 12:18 PM
I guess you could in theory do 4 games in a day, something like:

12:30 EST
3:30 EST
6:30 EST
9:30 EST

With the 9:30 kickoff games being reserved for the NFC and AFC West champions...and the kickoff time would be pushed back if prior games overrun. But that might be overkill even for NFL standards.
