Romo has been in the league for like 4 or 5 years. Big Ben doesnt count, he has won a SB.

THis is Cambell first season starting. I dont consider those other guys Young QBs. Anderson is good, but I think Cambell will be better in the end, I dont think anderson will start next year anyways.

Hows this, Cambell is the best QB with under 32 starts and less than 3 years in the league.

in fairness you're 1-2 against teams over .500

A "close win" against .500 and sub .500 teams isn't something to really be excited about.

Someone should ask Chad if it's a Honor just to be on the sideline holding a clipboad for the new york jets.

Way to butcher a quote...

What was actually said was he didn't like kicking field goals in that situation which puts points on the board, he thought it was better to go for in on 4th giving the defense a chance to stop them.

It's funny, the Pats punter doesn't qualify for pro bowl voting or any season records because he hasn't played enough.

The irony

We know, We know... the Colts are all perfect saints and never done anything wrong in their life, the only reason they have ever lost to the patriots is either being screwed by the refs or Catastrophic injuries which no other team has ever had to deal with when they beat us and if they say otherwise they're just making excuses for being beat by the best team to ever grace the face of the earth.

that pretty much covers it.

sorry, no link... just heard it on the radio and missed the source.

but apperently the "trinity broadcasting network" as at the game last night wanting to tape the post game prayer, and the NFL or some security shut them down because they were filming during the game and only when 1 team was on offense...

if I hear the source I'll get a link, just funny...

It was the 3rd quater and Belichick said he would rather go for and give the defense a chance to stop them (and eliminate any point scoring) instead of kicking a field goal and getting guaranteed points. If the Patriots took a fucking knee right there people would still find something to complain about so I'm not really worried about it. The thing that I am worried about though is some fag from the Steelers or Ravens or something taking out their bitterness and hurting a player on offense on purpose since they can't stop them within the rules of the game.

Also, why doesn't a team try to stop a 2nd string fullback playing running back from gaining 49 yards and a touchdown on the same play 6 times in a row before they start complaining.

Huh? I really think you should read the tread a little more so you know what you're talking about.

Just to re-cap this one, he quotes me responding to someone else, I respond to him, he then responds with a bunch of insults... yeah, on occasion it's really easy to make him flip out and do one of his ALL CAPS posts swearing and yelling.

I actually prefer when he dosen't have a hissy fit, because it makes a better discussion, but like some people he has trouble seperating being a fan of a team to step back and look at things objectively. Which is why he flips out over little things and can't see both sides of the argument..

even funnier is I seem to remember a few weeks ago RP and Stima going back and forth until RP said something like "I was just stirring shit"

Yet, Dr. A thinks thats all I'm trying to do...

I didn't butcher the quote because that's exactly what he said. You're giving me the context of that statement which is true.

When you (and you're not the only one to do it, a lot of media outlets did it) take a partial quote it's butchering a quote. What I gave was the whole line he said, what you gave were a few words of it which makes it sound like he meant something different.

It's like saying "I like the color yellow only on cars" and the quote repeated is "I like the color yellow". Sorry, it's not you, and it's not just this but when media butchers quotes which they do all the time drives me nuts, trying to make someone look like an ass rather then "reporting all the facts" so people can make their own decision.

I haven't looked, but I heard the Eagles game spread is like 23 points... this is just getting silly.

I love watching the Patriots kicking the shit out of everyone. Then I can still have my pipe dream that the Giants uproot a perfect season. :)

Ya know, of the teams left thats the one that worries me the most (assuming your all healthy).

I mean, any team could beat the Pats, but I think the Giants have the best chance.

ok, so this isn't a football post but it's just come up in this thread.

I've always found it funny on here how people think trying to insult the person they're having a discussion with somehow makes their point or discredits the other opinion. RP does this frequently, Dr. A (i think was trying to take a shot at the rumor KVE had Aids when he killed himself? but not 100% sure) but others do it, I typicially do it with MTH calling him a 12yr old...

Like somehow the enhances our discussion, imgaine how much enjoyable and easier to read this place would be w/o this crap.

 I'm starting to wonder if you actually read this thread or just jump in and randomly post something without a clue what you're talking about.

Do I respond to a lot of RP posts, probably, but he's also one of the more knowledgeable and most frequent posters in the thread, so I'm sure a lot of people reply to his posts.

but think whatever you want, I really don't care.

The fact is, the Patriots are on pace to be the best (single season) team in NFL history and cement their place as one of the best Dynasty teams the league has seen. The fact that the Pats (and the Colts) have put together these great teams, year after year in a salary cap ERA is amazing.

I accept the a majority of people who follow the NFL don't like the Pats... same way in the 1980's if you weren't a Celtics or Lakers fan you hated those teams, or the Bulls or Yankees the list goes on... people get tired of seeing the same team win and more importantly their team not win and I expect at some point, maybe this season or next season for me and stima to be eating are crow... this wont last for ever... but we'll enjoy it while it does.

Matt Light had a great quote yesterday and caring about an undefeated regular season "We care about being undefeated in the playoffs" and that's the truth, as I've said when the Colts won during the season and RP said this year and it's true, after the playoff teams are set, it's a clean slate, 1 and done. Is an undefeated regular season nice? sure, but it means nothing if they don't win it all. Kinda like beating the Yankees in 2004, if the Sox lost to STL it would have meant NOTHING!

So, back to football.

The league is looking into the Packers for players getting a "Bounty".

The DB's offered cash to the DL if they kept a team under 100yds running and another under 60.

Now, I don't see why they're calling this a Bounty, this isn't Buddy Ryan offering money for whoever knocks the QB out of the game. This is more of a "Bonus".

My understanding is if it's shown the money came from coach's they're going to charge the Packers with circumventing the salary cap, since all bonuses must go through and apply against the cap.

I don't think there has ever been a case of players paying players, my guess is that's what happened, the league does nothing and next year has a rule in place, otherwise I see someone like Jerry Jones testing this by having a player pay another player to somehow circumvent the cap.

My brothers thinking 'bout switching from Comcast to Verizon cable, I think they got NFL Network on there, hopefully he does it before December 29th. If not I'll have to find a bar thats showing it, would much rather just watch it at my house though. I always miss shit when I go out places to watch games

Figures I got NFL Network up at school too but I won't be there then
