i have a bad feeling about the giants/jets game and i think the KICKING GAME is going to blow it for us. the past few weeks it has been really sketchy but hasn't mattered and after a mini-abomination last week and doing nothing about it, i think it comes back to bite us tommorow.

Peerless out for the year. No Biggie to the team, he is basically a vet presence, and that is it. However he is the 8th person on the IR for the Bills this year. THis team is decimated with injuries. I mean, they are starting their 6th OLB this season, a guy who they just signed!

Why would you sell your tickets?

SammyG
10-08-2007, 12:04 AM
Why would I wanna get on a train to Seattle, which would take me 10 hours, to go watch my team get embarassed? And then another 10 hour train ride back, to get home, and hustle my ass back in time to take a midterm?

Jesus Shuttlesworth
10-08-2007, 12:18 AM
Well if that was your real reason then you wouldn't have gotten the ticket in the first place. The reason you aren't going is because they aren't that good this year, which is kinda dumb

SammyG
10-08-2007, 12:24 AM
I got the ticket thinking it's gonna be a HUGE game, determining 1st place in the NFC West possibly. We can't beat the Cardinals. We play the Ravens next week, gonna go 0-6, and then get embarassed in Seattle, to go 0-7. I might actually go, and wear a paper bag over my head.

OssMan
10-08-2007, 01:17 AM
sell the ticket, it sucks going to see your team in a different team's home game... worst stadiums to do that in are prob washington, philadelphia, and seattle where they freaking retired the number 12 in honor of their fans THE 12TH MAN!

I haven't really watched any Cowboys games but from what I've seen they look pretty good. I think the only team that gave them a run was the Giants and that was just a shootout. I think the 'Boys offense can play, but I think New England's defense is too good and it won't be that easy for the Cowboys to put up a bunch of points. If the Cowboys D plays like they did against the Giants the Pats will have an easy time with them. I know I'm looking pretty far ahead but if the Giants D plays as well as they have been, then the Nov. 11 game against Dallas will be one hell of a game.

What are you talking about? For all that's said about TO, one of the positives about him is that he can make some tough grabs better than most receivers. Not many WRs go in the middle of the field and will take hits to make a grab like Owens does. That was just a really good defensive play.

Oh, did you not see one of his league leading drops last season? Also, I recall the ball being thrown his way 8 or 9 times, and him catching 2. T.O. has seemed to have lost a step or two since coming to Dallas.

Im sure the Bills felt fortunate to have been in it this close as well. But seriously though..even though T.O's skills are on a decline, you can't base it on the 2 pt. conversion play unless you're a crosseyed cracksmoking freak. It was a great defensive play.

I was feeling upset all week actually. It's always a bad combination when a) you're playing a team who hasn't had a major primetime game at home in 13 years, and b) They hold a grudge against you that you don't really hold against them.

They came out much more intense than the Cowboys.

Pats are going to come out strong next week.

I know people are going to see how Dallas got bullied by the Bills but to go through all those INT's and overall shitty play and STILL WIN? Thats even better than blowing someone out.

Dallas is also going to come out strong next week with some revamped confidence.

so, no fine over the green play, which was the right call.

1) when he celebrated he didn't know he was out cold.

2) the green play was a cheap/low hit and that's why he reacted that way and was the reason used by the NFL for no fine.

It really wasn't a THAT dirty of a black, it was also the D-Linemans fault for not being alert of what was around him. I mean, I guess Green didn't need to dive at his knee, but players (especially QBs) throw cut blocks all the time

Those type of hits happen ALL the time on punt returns, hitting somebody when they aren't looking isn't a dirty hit at all. If you think it is, then you don't know shit about playing football

Dolphins/Browns(yet another pickem) Browns will win BIG however cause Miami is horrible(sorry Dolphins fans)
Vikings/Bears(another stinker) Vikings will upset after Brian Griese stinks up Soldier Field
Eagles/Jets Eagles win easily
Ram/Ravens Ravens beat the mediocre Rams
Titans/Bucs Titans win this one
Packers will beat the Redskins at Lambeau
Panthers/Cardinals Cards win
Pats/Cowboys Cowboys win; plenty of funny endzone dances by T.O.
Raiders/Chargers Raiders lose cause well, they are the Raiders.
Saints/Seahawks(Tonight) Saints will have to wait another week to get into the win column (Sorry Krispy)

i give Romo a lot of credit, he hangs in and keeps going, doesn't really get rattled.

on the flip side, TO is a big pussy... he left that note he'd talk about him and moss after the game.

reporter "how did moss do today"
to - "next question"

grow a pair of balls... is it that hard to say "he had a good game". really, he creates more of a story by trying to create less... would have been funny if the Pats were passing out popcorn after the game.

oh and can someone from dallas tell me, who was the idiot who asked Brady after the game "seemed like the defense was doing the jitterbug while you and stallworth were doing the charlston"? WTF was that...

next week will be the trap games... indy @ jacksonville and NE at Miami/

hope both teams stay undefeated... well, actually i could care less if the Colts are undefeated a wins a win, and actually making the colts 6-2 and the pats 8-0 would be even better, especially setting up homefield for the playoffs.

ya know what's really scary about this pats team?

They're starting RB is out, their backup went out...

I thought Dallas played a good game against one of the most well-rounded teams in NFL history. Our defense couldn't stop NE from controlling the clock but they made a couple very big plays. We're on our way. Offensively, we played much better than the stats show. Barber is just ridiculous and Romo had a great game against a great D. Owens even just edged Moss stats-wise. Just couldn't get the ball enough to put up lots of yards. Also, penalties, mainly the one when Barber converted 4th and 1 hurt. We would have regained the lead and changed the game entirely.

I really would not mind facing the Pats again if we make it to the Super Bowl. I think we're capable of taking them down.

VonErichLives

fuck the Patriots for not kneeling down that last TD..lol but whatever.

couple points in fairness.

1) Dallas was still "playing" had Dallas not used their last timeout even though they clearly had not shot left at winning the game then NE would have been able to kneel down w/o turning over the ball and run out the clock, but Dallas used that time out, an all the pats did was simple run plays with their 3rd string RB and Dallas couldn't stop them.

2) as Stima pointed out, I also think it had to do with getting Eckel a TD, he was a pratice squad guy belicheck really liked, he was cut i think during camp, went to miami was cut and belicheck grabbed him for the pratice squad, there's a good chance this will be the only TD of his career... same thing with letting Vinny throw that TD last year (although, now with Vinny it was a moot point).

lol... so just the fact that they lost their starting RB and backup, proves their depth at the position? The guys behind them don't have to play well or anything? Sammy Morris ran 10 times for 14 yards... how does that show depth?

umm, sammy morris went out with injury...

That play was un-real, wasn't rooting for the Cowboys but that was a great play.

What's the td pass record? Brady will break that.

49 - manning
brady's on pace for 56... doubt it will happan... if it does, would someone please video tape RP's head exploding?

oh, and for everyone who's complaining about the Pats/Colts buildup... oh well, guess your teams have to do better... the NFL is the best league for an even playing field, the draft, the salary cap, look at all the teams that make the playoffs one year and not the next.

The Colts and Pats simply have better management then the rest of the league, better coaches, gm's and owners, which allows them to do it year after year. Once you get there then top players late in their career will play for you for a paycut so they can win a ring. Just like the 49'ers and Cowboys of the 80's/90's.

ok, let me try this again because I don't think we're communicating.

#1 RB is Maroney
#2 RB is Morris

Morris left the game with an injury, so his 10 for 14 in the game is an incomplete stat, since had he stayed in the game he'd most likely have 20+ and most likely a higher avg per carry and I base that off the last 2 weeks and even his season stats which even including yesterdays stats he's still 4.5yds per carry.

so yeah, this team has good depth, same thing with the Colts, Harrison and Addai injured? no problem, they still win.

I played O and D Line for 6 years and constantly had guys going low.. Blocking at the knees is hella dirty no matter how you look at it.. Deuce was going for a catch and came down wrong, completly different thing..

Anyway, our D looked outstanding last night.. Pressure on Hasselbeck all night.. Reggie and Brees also looked good, but I think that we should use Karney in the running game more due to Deuce's injury.. Using him between tackles would take alot off Bush and Stecker..

I'm not saying the 'Hawks played a perfect game either, I just am always baffled when teams are playing with the lead and don't do something so simple as merely running the ball 3 times to eat time off the clock. Even if you don't get a first down, you make it so much harder for the opposing team to come back by limiting the time the have to work with.

Also, I agree with you sort of but at the same time I can see why the 'Hawks went for it. You need two scores either way, and yeah you could get an easy FG but you'd still need to get the ball back and drive down the field for a TD anyway, which is pretty unlikely anyway. One of those "rock and a hard place" situations.

I have a feeling Miami will put up more of a fight than anyone expects them to.

Their best chance will probably be against the Giants. Which I will be at

Plaxico's ankle will swell up on the plane ride over the Atlantic due to high winds, and Shockey's head will burst.

The Jets or Bills will drop one to the Phins.

Yeah but by kicking the FG, you are at least giving yourself the chance to get the ball back.. By going for it on forth, in FG range, you pretty much eliminate all chances of getting the ball back, if you don't get the TD/1st down..

All he was doing was questioning the Saints play calling down the stretch, I don't get what the Seahawks play calling had to do with it. Also I don't see how that makes him a hater

omg chargers traded a 2nd rounder to miami for chris chambers! that is huge, i thought chambers was an awesome WR who was worth more than a second round pick.

He is certainly worth more than Randy Moss

Chambers is a pretty good WR. He gets the receptions and yards, his only problem though is lack of TDs.

I wonder if this means the Dolphins are going to pass it more to Ted Ginn now since Chambers got traded.

Dolphins are retarded for doing that trade. Must be a tough time to be Evan Spillchuk.

Chamberts is a decent deep threat, a solid reciever. By no way elite, and he is not worth a second. SD must be desperate. Moss was only worth a 4th.

Not worth a 2nd round pick imo.

B/c to me, the Hawks calls at the end of that game where hella more questionable than a few pass plays while trying to run out the clock when A) Reggie Bush had already touched the ball more times than he did in half the season last year and B) Brees was on fire..

If you couldn't see that the "hater" comment was sarcastic you are a dumb motherfucker..

Dolphins just packing it in this season, guess they want to get Teddy Ginn the ball more. Lemon to Ginn all day? Doubt it
